(Many years ago)

It was a sunny day along the river of Anduin and two Hobbits named Sméagol and Déagol were fishing on a boat. Suddenly, Déagol's fishing pole began to snag and in that moment, a fish was caught on the line.

"Sméagol! I've got one! I've got a fish, Sméag-Sméagol!" Déagol says feeling excited

"Go on. Go on. Go on. Pull it in!" Sméagol says also feeling excited

The fishing line pulls away and Déagol falls into the water. Sméagol looks over the edge of the boat and sees Déagol's hat floating on the water.

"Déagol!" Sméagol yells

Underwater, a large fish swims away dragging Déagol with it who held onto the fishing rod. He soon lost his grip and floated in the water. Suddenly, Déagol saw something glimmering infront of him on the sandy floor of the river. It was the One Ring. Déagol grabs the Ring from the sand and climbs onto shore, gasping for breath. Déagol stood up on his feet and opened the palm of his hand, looking down at the Ring, stroking it with his finger.

"Déagol? Déagol." Sméagol says

Sméagol walks over to Déagol and his eyes gaze upon the Ring.

"Give us that Déagol my love." Sméagol says

Déagol closes his hand and turns to look at Sméagol.

"Why?" Déagol asks

"Because... it's my birthday and I wants it." Sméagol says

Suddenly, Sméagol quickly made a grab for the Ring, but Déagol quickly pulled his arm back. Sméagol grabbed Déagol's arm with both hands and the two began wrestling each other. Using his freehand, Déagol tried to push Sméagol's head away. Sméagol then bit down on Déagol's arm, making him scream out in pain. The Ring fell out of Déagol's hand and onto the grass. Déagol ran for the Ring, but Sméagol grabbed him by his legs and the two fell to the ground. Déagol kicks Sméagol away and grabs the Ring. He then runs at Sméagol and grabs hold of his throat using both hands. Sméagol pushes Déagol back and he grabs his throat with both hands. Déagol falls down onto his back and Sméagol proceeded to choke him. Déagol kicked his legs and tried to push Sméagol off him, but he couldn't.

Soon enough, Déagol stopped struggling and he died right there on the spot. These two who were once friends had quickly turned on each other and became enemies. All because of the evil power of the One Ring. Sméagol removed his hands from Déagol's throat and opened his hand where the Ring laid in his lifeless hand. Sméagol took the Ring and held it in his hands.

"My Precious." Sméagol says

Sméagol slips the Ring onto his right-index finger and he disappears.

(Moments later)

Sméagol crawls away into a cave after being chased away by his people.

"They cursed us." Gollum says

Sméagol sat on a rock and rocked back and forth, wrapping his arms around himself.

"Murderer."

"'Murderer' they called us. They cursed us and drove us away." Gollum says

Sméagol opened up his right-hand and looked down at the One Ring as it sat there in the palm of his hand. He then began to cough on something in his throat.

"Gollum... Gollum... Gollum..." Sméagol says

Sméagol held his left-hand to his throat and closed his eyes and his hand.

"And we wept, precious. We wept to be so alone." Gollum says

For years, Sméagol spent his solitude alone in the caves of the Misty Mountains, feeding on fish. And as time aged on, Sméagol's body had deformed and his mind had been twisted by the corruption of the Ring. His skin turned pale, his skeletal ribs and spine shown on his deformed body, and his hair had shed, leaving him slightly bald.

"And we forgot the taste of bread... the sound of trees... the softness of the wind." Gollum says

Sméagol crawls into a cave in the Misty Mountains and sat on a rock inside.

"We even forgot our own name." Gollum says

He held the Ring in the open palm of his right-hand up to his face. He closed his eyes for a few moments before opening them again, revealing they too had changed. Thus, the creature Gollum was born.

"My Precious." Gollum says

(Present time)

Somewhere in the wilderness, Sam and Frodo rested in a small cave. Sam was fast asleep while Frodo sat uneasily with the Ring in his hand, fingering with it. Suddenly, Frodo hears movement outside and quickly puts the Ring back inside his shirt. Gollum pokes his head in from the top of the cave.

"Wake up! Wake up!" Gollum says

Gollum flips over and lands in the cave. He crawls over to Sam and shakes him.

"Wake up, sleepies. We must go, yes. We must go at once." Gollum says

After saying that, Gollum crawls away. Sam looks over at Frodo.

"Haven't you had any sleep, Mr. Frodo? I've gone and had too much. It must be getting late." Sam says

"No, it isn't. It isn't mid-day yet. The days are growing darker." Frodo says

Suddenly, the ground rumbles and shakes, alerting the two Hobbits.

"Come on! Must go! No time!" Gollum says

"Not before Mr. Frodo's had somethin' to eat." Sam says

"No time to lose, silly!" Gollum says

While Gollum continues onward, Sam walks over to Frodo and hands him some Lembas Bread.

"Here." Sam says

"What about you?" Frodo asks

"Oh, no. I'm not hungry. Leastways not for Lembas Bread." Sam says

"Sam..." Frodo says

"All right. We don't have that much left. We have to be careful or we're going to run out. You go ahead and eat that, Mr. Frodo." Sam says

Frodo takes a bite out of the Lembas Bread.

"I've rationed it. It should be enough." Sam says

"Enough for what?" Frodo asks

"The journey home." Sam says

Frodo looks at Sam in surprise. Soon enough, the two Hobbits follow Gollum as he leads them through the dry woods.

"Come, Hobbitses. Very close now. Very close to Mordor. No safe places here. Hurry." Gollum says

(Isengard)

Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, Théoden, Éomer and Gamling rode through Fangorn Forest on their horses with Devon, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch following them. Devon rode on Luna's back while the Viking Teens rode on their dragons.

Up ahead, Merry and Pippin were both sitting on a broken wall, smoking Longbottom Leaf.

"It's good. Definitely from the Shire. Longbottom Leaf." Merry says

"I feel like I'm back at the Green Dragon." Pippin says

"Mmm Green Dragon." Merry says

"A mug of ale in my hand, putting my feet up on a settle after a hard day's work." Pippin says

"Only you never had a hard day's work." Merry says

Merry and Pippin laugh and they soon see the group from Helm's Deep approaching them from Fangorn Forest. Pippin was happy to see the heroes and he laughs in joy. Merry got up on his feet and spreads his arms out in gesture, greeting the heroes.

"Welcome, my lords, to Isengard!" Merry says

"You young rascals! A merry hunt you've led us on and now we find you... feasting a-and smoking!" Gimli says

"We are sitting on a field of victory enjoying some well-earned cormforts. The salted pork is particularly good." Pippin says

"Salted pork?" Gimli says with slight interest

"Hobbits." Gandalf sighs

"We're under orders from Treebeard, who's taken management over Isengard." Merry says

Merry and Pippin join the group as they ride forward to the Tower of Orthanc where they are greeted by Treebeard. Merry rode with Devon and Luna while Pippin rode with Aragorn.

"Young Master Gandalf. I'm really glad you come. Wood and water, stock and stone I can master. But there is a Wizard to manage here, locked in his tower." Treebeard says

Everyone turns to the black tower, ready to deal with Saruman.

"Show yourself." Aragorn whispers

"Be careful. Even in defeat, Saruman is very dangerous." Gandalf warns

"Well, let's just have his head and be done with it." Gimli says

"Yeah, let's just get this Saruman guy and put him out of his misery." Snotlout says

"No. We need him alive. We need him to talk." Gandalf says

High up at the top of the tower, Lord Thanatos and Saruman looks down at the group. On Lord Thanatos' left was his loyal dark dragon, Ragnarok. Upon seeing the evil villains, Luna, Toothless and the other dragons growled at them.

"You have fought many wars and slain many men, Théoden King, and made peace afterwards. Can we not take counsel as we once did, my old friend? Can we not have peace you and I?" Saruman says

"We shall have peace. We shall have peace when you answer to the burning of the Westfold and the children that lie dead there! We shall have peace when the lives of the soldiers whose bodies have been hewn, even as they lay dead against the gates of the Hornburg are avenged! When you hang from a gibbet for the sport of your own crows, we shall have peace." Theoden says

"Gibbets and crows? Dotard! What do you want, Gandalf Greyhame? Let me guess. The key of Orthanc? Or perhaps the keys of Barad-Dûr itself? Along with the crowns of the Seven Kings and the rods of the Five Wizards?" Saruman says

"Your treachery has already cost many lives. Thousands more are now at risk. But you can save them, Saruman. You were deep in the enemy's counsel." Gandalf says

"So you have come here for information. I have some for you." Saruman says

Saruman lifts up his right-hand, showing his Palantir and gazes into it.

"Something festers in the heart of Middle-Earth. Something that you have failed to see. But the Great Eye has seen it." Saruman says

Saruman lowers his hand and puts away the Palantir.

"Even now, he presses his advantage. His attack will come soon. You are all going to die." Saruman says

Gandalf approaches the Tower of Orthanc on Shadowfax, taking a few strides forward ahead of the group.

"But you know this don't you, Gandalf? You cannot think that this Ranger will ever sit upon the throne of Gondor. This exile crept from the shadows will never be crowned king. Gandalf does not hesitate to sacrifice those closest to him. Those he professes to love. Tell me, what words of comfort did you give the Halfling before you sent him to his doom? The path that you have set him on can only lead to death." Saruman says

"I've heard enough. Shoot him. Stick an arrow in his gob." Gimli says

Legolas reaches for an arrow in his quiver, but Gandalf stops him.

"No." Gandalf says

Gandalf glances back up at the tower.

"Come down, Saruman! And your life will be spared!" Gandalf says

"Save your pity and your mercy! I have no use for it!" Saruman yells

Saruman shoots a fireball from staff straight down at Gandalf. The good wizard is engulfed within the flames, causing the heroes to shield themselves. The horses whinnied in shock. But when the flames dim down, Gandalf remains unscathed.

"Saruman, your staff is broken." Gandalf says

Saruman's staff breaks into a million pieces in his hands. Grima walks up to Saruman and Lord Thanatos and stands behind them. Théoden notices Grima cowering behind the evil villains and calls out to him.

"Grima, you need not follow them! You were not always as you are now. You were once a man of Rohan. Come down." Théoden says

Grima was about to head down until Saruman spoke.

"A man of Rohan? What is the house of Rohan but a thatched barn where brigands drink from the reek and their brats roll on the floor with the dogs! The victory at Helm's Deep does not belong to you, Théoden Horse-master! You are a lesser son of greater sires." Saruman says

Théoden looks on in shock at what Saruman had said to him. Then, he calls up to Grima once more.

"Grima, come down. Be free of him." Théoden says

"Free?! He will never be free!" Saruman says

"No." Grima says

The evil wizard turns to Grima.

"Get down cur!" Saruman says

Saruman smacks Grima with the back of his left-hand, knocking him down.

"Saruman! You were deep in the enemy's counsel. Tell us what you know." Gandalf says

Grima takes out a dagger and rises to his feet.

"You withdraw your guard and I will tell you where your doom will be decided. I will not be held prisoner here!" Saruman says

Grima comes up behind Saruman and stabs him in the back numerous times. Legolas quickly notches an arrow and shoots it at Grima to stop him, hitting him in the chest. Grima falls on his back and lays there with the arrow still on his chest. Saruman falls back and plummets off the tower. He lands on a wheel of spikes and a large spike pierces through Saruman's body.

Devon, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and the dragons all looked on with widened eyes and shocked looks on their faces.

"AND SO, HEREIN LIES THE DEATH OF SARUMAN. A FITTING END FOR SUCH A FOOL. QUITE A PITY. HE WAS A GREAT ALLY TO OUR CAUSE, BUT IT MATTERS NOT. HE HAS OUTLIVED HIS USEFULNESS AND WE SHALL CONTINUE WITHOUT HIM." Lord Thanatos says

A dark black and blue aura began to envelope Lord Thanatos and Ragnarok as they prepared to take their leave.

"YOU MAY HAVE DEFEATED THE URUK-HAI AT HELM'S DEEP, BUT THE WILL OF SAURON AND THE DARK LORD OF THE SHADOWS IS NOT EASILY BROKEN. SARUMAN SERVED MERELY AS A PAWN IN OUR PLAN. SOON, THE WAR UPON MIDDLE-EARTH WILL BEGIN AND WITH IT, THE UNIVERSE SHALL FOLLOW. TIME WAS YOUR ALLY, MORTALS, BUT NOW IT HAS ABANDONED YOU. YOUR END WILL COME AND WHEN IT DOES, YOUR HEARTS WILL BE MINE AND YOU WILL ALL DIE!" Lord Thanatos says

Having said that, Lord Thanatos fades away in the darkness with his dark dragon, chuckling in his dark, sinister, demonic voice.

"HEHEHEHEHEHEHE... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Lord Thanatos laughs

Once the Dark Keyblade Master and his black dragon were gone, Gandalf turns back to the group.

"Send word to all our allies and to every corner of Middle-Earth that still stands free. The enemy moves against us. We need to know where he and Lord Thanatos will strike." Gandalf says

The wheel that Saruman's body was on began to spin and turn over. The Palantir falls out the sleeve of his robe and into the water. The wheel rolls over with Saruman's body sinking into the water.

"The filth of Saruman is washing away. Trees will come back to live here. Young trees, wild trees." Treebeard says

Pippin sees the orange glow of the Palantir in the water. He climbs off Brego and wades through the water to where the light originated.

"Pippin!" Aragorn calls

Pippin reaches into the water and picks it the Palantir, eyeing it curiously.

"Bless my bark!" Treebeard says surprised

"Peregrin Took." Gandalf calls

Pippin turns around and looks at Gandalf.

"I'll take that, my lad. Quickly now." Gandalf says

Pippin hands the Palantir to Gandalf and he quickly wraps it in his robe. Gandalf then rides away while Pippin watches him go.

(Edoras)

After their encounter with Saruman and Lord Thanatos at Isengard, the group travels back to Edoras where Éowyn stood infront of the Golden Hall awaiting their return.

As soon as the group returned from Isengard, the people of Rohan gathered in the Golden Hall in celebration of their victory at Helm's Deep. Devon and the Viking Teens sat at wooden tables together with Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless and the other dragons alongside another table to the right not far from Aragorn. Éowyn bows to Théoden as she gives him a gold goblet. Devon and the Viking Teens rose to their feet with the people in the great hall with mugs in their hands. Everyone stood up except the dragons who sat on their haunches.

"Tonight, we remember those who gave their blood to defend this country. Hail the victorious dead!" Théoden says

"Hail!" Everyone cheers raising their mugs

In that moment, everyone in the Golden Hall jugged away at their drinks. Aragorn hesitated for a moment, but soon sipped at his drink.

(Moments later)

Everyone in the Golden Hall enjoyed themselves to a feast. Men carried barrels of ale around, talked and cheered with each other. Legolas stood at a table with Gimli who sat in a chair on his left. Éomer hands both of them a mug of ale.

"No pauses. No spills." Éomer says

"And no regurgitation." Gimli says

"So, it's a drinking game?" Legolas asks

"Last one standing wins." Gimli laughs

Gimli gulps down his mug as Legolas carefully starts to drink. In another part of the room, Éowyn approaches Aragorn with a goblet of ale in her hands.

"Westu Aragorn hál." Éowyn says

Éowyn gives the goblet to Aragorn who takes it in his hands and drinks from it. Aragorn walks off with a nod. Éowyn then looks over at Devon and Luna who walked around watching the people celebrate. A smile forms on her face and she walks over to the Keyblade Wielder and his female Night Fury.

"Westu Devon hál." Éowyn says

Éowyn gives the goblet to Devon who takes it in his hands. Devon looks at Luna who smiles at him, then looks at Éowyn with a smile on his face. Devon takes a drink from the goblet, then hands it back to Éowyn. Both he and Luna bow before Éowyn and they walk over to their friends. Theoden walks over to Éowyn, watches Devon and Luna walk off, then turns and looks at Éowyn.

"I am happy for you. He is an honorable man. Both he and Devon." Théoden says

"You are both honorable men." Éowyn says

"It was not Théoden of Rohan who led our people to victory." Théoden says

Éowyn looks at Théoden with a confused look on her face.

"Bah, don't listen to me. You are young. Tonight is for you." Théoden says

Legolas and Gimli continue their drinking game at their table. They had gone through a table full of mugs already and they still continued on. Gimli finishes one mug, letting out a belch, then laughs a bit.

"Ah, yes! It's the Dwarves that go swimming with little hairy women! Heh ha ha ha!" Gimli says

Gimli lets out another belch and began gulping down another mug of ale. Legolas began rubbing his fingers in his right-hand as though he felt something.

"I feel something. A slight tingle in my fingers. I think it's affecting me." Legolas says

"What did I say? He can't hold his liquor." Gimli says

Gimli crosses his eyes and falls back off his chair onto the floor. Tuffnut and Ruffnut, who were watching the game, saw this and they both laughed.

"Game over." Legolas says

The group then looks over at Merry and Pippin, who were both singing and dancing on a wooden table.

Oh you can search far and wide
You can drink the whole town dry
But you'll never find a beer so brown
As the one we drink in our hometown
You can drink your fancy ales
You can drink 'em by the flagon
But the only brew for the brave and true

Pippin stops dancing and saw that Gandalf was looking right at him. This was the first time he ever saw him smiling at him and Merry, considering how often he and Merry would get into trouble back in the Shire.

"Pippin!" Merry says

Pippin focuses back on their song and the two hobbits continue to sing.

But the only brew for the brave and true
Comes from the Green Dragon

Merry and Pippin clink their mugs and drink away. Everyone cheers and claps. Gandalf laughs and claps. Aragorn walks over to Gandalf.

"No news of Frodo?" Aragorn asks

"No word. Nothing." Gandalf says

"We have time. Everyday, Frodo moves closer to Mordor." Aragorn says

"Do we know that?" Gandalf asks

"What does your heart tell you?" Aragorn asks

"That Frodo is alive. Yes. Yes, he's alive." Gandalf says

Devon sat at a table with Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut. Luna sat on her haunches on Devon's left with Toothless while the other dragons sat behind their riders. Spyro and Cynder sat on their haunches at the left-end of the table near Luna and Toothless.

"Well... we did it. Rohan is safe." Devon says

"Yeah, but Lord Thanatos is still out there with Sauron." Luna says

"I'm surprised that we haven't seen any Heartless around lately." Cynder says

"I'm guessing Lord Thanatos is keeping them in store for something." Devon says

"But what?" Spyro asks

"I don't know." Devon says

"Where do you think we go from here?" Hiccup asks

"I'm not sure, but I have a feeling something will come our way eventually." Devon says

"I wonder how Frodo and Sam are doing." Astrid says

"Yeah. And where they are now." Fishlegs says

"It's been a long time since we last saw them." Hiccup says

"Yeah, it has been a while. But I believe Frodo is still alive and everyday, he moves closer towards Mordor with the Ring." Devon says

"I hope the young Hobbit will succeed in his quest." Luna says

Devon places his left-hand on Luna's head and rubs her gently.

"He will. I have faith in him." Devon says

"If you believe in Frodo, then so do I." Luna says smiling

"Same goes for all of us." Hiccup says

Toothless nods in agreement, warbling in response. Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons also nod in agreement.

(Elsewhere)

It was night time and Frodo and Sam were sound asleep in a forest. Sméagol was also asleep, twitching and talking as if he was having a bad dream.

"Too risky. Too risky. Thieves. They stole it from us. Kill them. Kill them. Kill them both." Smeagol says in his sleep

Sméagol screams awakening from his dream.

"Ssh, quiet! Mustn't wake them. Mustn't ruin it now." Gollum says

Sméagol crawls over to a nearby pond and looks into it.

"But they knows. They knows. They suspects us!" Sméagol says

"What's it saying, my precious, my love? Is Sméagol losing his nerve?" Gollum asks

"No, not, never. Sméagol hates nasty Hobbitses. Sméagol wants to see them... dead." Sméagol says

"And we will. Sméagol did it once. He can do it again." Gollum says

A flashback plays in Gollum's mind of Déagol struggling while Sméagol strangles him to death.

"It's ours. Ours." Gollum says

"We must get the Precious. We must get it back." Sméagol says

"Patience. Patience, my love. First, we must lead them to her." Gollum says

"We lead them to the winding stairs." Sméagol says

"Yes. The stairs and then?" Gollum says

"Up, up, up, up, up the stairs we go until we come to... the tunnel." Sméagol says

"And when they go in, there's no coming out. She's always hungry. She always needs to feed. She must eat. All she gets is filthy Orcses." Gollum says

"And they doesn't taste very nice, does they, precious?" Sméagol says

"No. Not very nice at all, my love. She hungers for sweeter meats. Hobbit meat." Gollum says

As Gollum continued to talk, Sam began to awaken and overheard the conversation.

"And when she throws away the bones and empty clothes, then we will find it." Gollum says

"And take it for me!" Sméagol says gripping his right-hand into a fist

"For us." Gollum says

"Y-yes. We-we meant for us. Gollum! Gollum!" Sméagol says embarrassingly

"The Precious will be ours once the Hobbitses are dead." Gollum says

Gollum picks up a rock and drops it in the water. The ripples fade and show Sam standing over his shoulder.

"You treacherous little toad!" Sam says

Sam smacks Gollum to the ground and holds him down. Frodo awakens to Sméagol's cries for help and he rushes over to them.

"No! No! Master! " Smeagol cries out

"No, Sam! Leave him alone!" Frodo says

Frodo pulls Sam away from Sméagol.

"I heard it from his own mouth. He means to murder us!" Sam says

"Never! Sméagol wouldn't hurt a fly! He's a horrid fat Hobbit who hates Sméagol and who makes up nasty lies!" Sméagol says

"You miserable little maggot! I'll stow your head in!" Sam says

Sam tries to attack Sméagol again, but Frodo holds him back by pulling his right-arm.

"Sam!" Frodo says

Sméagol crawls away and hides behind a small tree.

"Calling me a liar! You're a liar!" Sam says

Frodo pulls Sam back and makes him turn to look at him.

"You'll scare him off. We're lost." Frodo says

"I don't care. I can't do it, Mr. Frodo. I won't wait around for him to kill us!" Sam says

"I'm not sending him away." Frodo says

"You don't see it do you? He's a villain." Sam says

"We can't do this by ourselves, Sam. Not without a guide. I need you on my side." Frodo says

"I'm on your side, Mr. Frodo." Sam says

"I know, Sam. I know. Trust me." Frodo says

Frodo turns to Sméagol and calls him over.

"Come, Sméagol." Frodo says

Frodo holds out his hand and Sméagol takes it. Gollum looks back and gives Sam an evil grin.
