Chapter 51: The Final Battlefield...The Fusion Dimension!
Orion, Paluis and Zevrakex stepped through the portal. They now stood facing a giant machine, glowing with the golden energy of stolen D.E, as a figure stood in front of it.
"Dr. Kirek!" Orion called uip to him.
The scientist turned to face them with a stern expression. "And so you come running, as expected. You three are the Beings of Balance?"
"Cut the crap Kirek, you know too much already." Zevrakex pointed at the machine. "That's our D.E you're hoarding there! We want it back!"
"YOUR D.E?" Kirek frowned. "How selfish of you. This is energy created solely by Duelists, by Dueling, the very lifeblood of our existence! And you feel that as supposed 'guardians', you can call it your own?"
"So then what right do you have to steal it from us!?" Paluis yelled.
"Because I am using it for its true purpose." Kirek said. "And also, to get back what we all want, including you three! Isn't that it!?"
Orion flinched. "How do you know about that? Your memories should have been erased along with-!" He froze before he said it.
"The Original Dimension. My home." Kirek finished for him. "That is no concern of yours! If you want this D.E back, then Duel me for it!" Kirek held out his Academia Duel Disk, a blue and purple shield, as a green sword blade appeared out of it.
"Very well! Let's go, Zevrakex! Paluis!" The three of them activated their Duel Disks.
"DUEL!"
Orion, Zevrakex and Paluis vs. Dr. Kirek (LP: 4000 Each)
"I'm going first." Orion stated. "I Normal Summon Vylon Vanguard, and then activate the Spell Photon Lead, to Special Summon Vylon Prism from my hand!" The two monsters appeared on the field. "I tune my Level 4 Vanguard to my Level 4 Prism!" The two monsters became four green rings and a beam of light.
"Stoic guardian of the light, deliver judgement upon those who threaten peace! Synchro Summon! Descend! Level 8! Vylon Epsilon!" The white and golden Synchro appeared with 2800 ATK.
"So you're the Synchro user..." Kirek took note.
"I activate Vylon Prism's effect." Orion pointed. "If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can pay 500 Life Points and equip it to a Vylon monster!" The monster flew out of the Graveyard and split into two parts that equipped to Epsilon as gauntlets.
Orion's LP: 3500
"Also, I will equip Epsilon with Vylon Material and Vylon Filament!" The two golden weapons attached to Epsilon. "With Material, Epsilon gains 600 attack, with Filament, you cannot activate Spells or Traps when it attacks, and with the equipped Prism, when it battles, it gains 1000 attack during the Damage Step!"
"Nice one, Orion!" Zevrakex nodded.
"Great job!" Paluis praised.
"I must admit, that was an impressive Synchro play." Kirek complimented, making the three of them turn to him. "However, that means nothing to me! My turn!"
He looked at the cards in his hand, before picking one. "From my hand, I Normal Summon Devil's Emissary Pain Slave!"
The monster that appeared had tattered brown rags around its head and waist, leaving only two red eyes to be seen in its hood, whilst spiked collars were around its neck, wrists and feet as chains also hung from them. It's body was humanoid and muscular, but covered in deep scars and was a sickly purple, as its ribcage stuck out of its body, and bones could be seen piercing through its elbows and knees. Bone horns also tore through its hood, as skeletal wings extended out behind it.
D.E Pain Slave, Level 4, Fiend, DARK, ATK: 1000 DEF: 2000
"Devil's Emissary?" Paluis echoed.
"Wait...that has the same initials as D.E!" Zevrakex pointed out.
"Of course." Kirek confirmed. "For the one who will use D.E to its full potential, to bring back what we all want, I will use my own monsters to obtain this power!"
"Kirek..." Orion mumbled.
"Pain Slave can be Special Summoned from my hand or Graveyard when I take 1000 or more damage." Kirek explained. "Know this, so that you don't attack carelessly. For now, though, I will release it, in order to Special Summon this monster from my hand! Come forth! Devil's Emissary Fear Gorgon!"
Pain Slave burst into sparkles to be replaced with an even worse monster. It had on what appeared to be gladiator armour, but it was a mix of dark purple and red, with the body of it looking like a demons skull with red slit eyes, fanged teeth and red horns at the waist. It's lower body was a giant black blade that hovered in the air as a crystal ball was at its waist, a dark purple mist swirling around inside of it which would distort into gruesome faces, as a long serpentine purple and orange tail extended out of the armour behind it, and the arms that stuck out were raw bones with blood-red claws on the end of them. The head that rested on top of its torso was one made of stone, depicting a woman screaming in horror with stone angel wings spread out behind it, as the top of it was broken to allow a long snake to appear out of the top of it, the same colours as the tail behind it, with red eyes and long white fangs dripping with venom. Three smaller snakes of the same colour scheme extended out of the statues eyes, ears and mouth as well, all hissing and spitting.
D.E Fear Gorgon, Level 8, Fiend, DARK, ATK: 2500 DEF: 2500
"This monster can be Special Summoned from my hand by releasing any number of Devil's Emissary monsters I control." Kirek continued. "And now! When this monster is Summoned by tributing D.E monsters, I can activate its effect! For each monster tributed, I can destroy a monster you control! Destroy Vylon Epsilon!" The big snake head hissed before breathing red flames from its mouth that incinerated Vylon Epsilon.
"Orion!" Paluis cried in worry.
"I'm fine, don't worry." Orion assured her.
"No, you are not." He looked up at Kirek. "When Devil's Emissary Pain Slave is tributed, I can increase the attack and defence of a Devil's Emissary I control by 1000 until the End Phase!" The snake heads hissed as the monsters ATK rose to 3500.
"Battle! Devil's Emissary Fear Gorgon! Attack Orion directly!" The monster hissed as its smaller snake heads all stretched foward and furiously lashed and bit Orion, making him scream in pain.
Orion's LP: 0
"Orion!" Paluis screamed as he was sent skidding across the cold steel floor, covered in injuries.
"You bastard!" Zevrakex roared.
"I expected more from the guardian of the Synchro Dimension. You don't deserve such a title! I set two cards and end my turn! At this point, Fear Gorgon's attack returns to normal." The monster floated behind him like a real devil, hissing at its opponents as its ATK returned to normal. "Come on then, you remaining two! Face me! Prove to me that your so-called reality is just!"
"Kirek...as the guardian of the Fusion Dimension, I will protect it! And I'm gonna kick your ass out of it!" Zevrakex screamed.
"And as the guardian of the Xyz Dimension, I won't allow you to do what you want and hurt my friends!" Paluis agreed.
The two remaining guardians faced him, as his monster stared them down.
Yu-Gi-Oh!
I blinked rapidly to get my vision working, and I found myself standing in what looked like a simple town.
"So this is the Fusion Dimension..." I thought aloud, looking around.
"The Dimension that houses Academia looks too peaceful." Shark muttered, giving a hard glare at passersby, making them hurry along.
"I don't imagine anyone around here knows about their actions." Rio said. "Our target is Academia."
"Wait a minute, where is Yuya's group?" I pointed out that they were nowhere near us.
"They must have been teleported further away from us." Anzel suggested. "In any case, we should try and find Academia. No doubt that's where they'll be going as well."
"And where do you suppose it is then, genius?" Rise asked.
"Well...that is...ahem." Anzel coughed awkwardly.
"Let's just look and ask around until we find something about it." Shark said.
"Or we, could try the sea." I suggested, already knowing where it was.
"The sea? What, is Academia an island? Don't joke." Rise dismissed me.
'I will remind you of this later.' I thought bitterly.
"Let's just hurry up and get some info!" Anna said, pulling me along by my wrist.
"H-Hey, Anna!" I gasped. "We shouldn't just casually run around here, we're in enemy territory!"
"I know that! If any trouble shows up, I'll blast it!" She assured me.
"...Honestly, I can't argue with that." I admitted, when the pulling force stopped. "Hm? Anna?"
"Elliot...you may wanna take a look at this." Anna pointed forward. I looked in her direction, and my eyes widened.
We were standing near what looked like a town square but...it was devastated. Large fissures scarred the ground as the glass of smashed windows littered the ground. Stone and debris were all over, as several houses had been completely reduced to rubble, and what looked like a statue in the center had a giant crack bisecting it.
"This looks awful..." I mumbled.
"Who could've done something like this?" Anna wondered.
I looked around, and noticed a lady walking by. "Excuse me, ma'am? Can you tell me what happened here?"
"What happened? Are you from out of town or something?" She asked me, before looking at the ruins. "This was caused by The Storm."
"'The Storm'?" Anna questioned further.
"Yes. It was a disaster." The lady nodded somberly. "One day, the sky just turned completely dark, and then lightning flashed, it all just seemed like a normal storm for a while...but then the lightning got worse, it started striking the town, destroying everything...men, women...children...so many died, so much was obliterated, just like that...and then it was gone."
"That's...awful." Anna told her, which was a big thing for her to say, seeing as what had been done to her Dimension could be seen as even worse.
"It's been a while since it happened, but I don't think anybody has truly recovered." The lady said. "I'm sorry...please excuse me." She then hurried off.
'A storm did all of this?' I thought. 'Nothing like this happened with what I watched...wait a minute, why didn't Zevrakex tell me something like this had happened? More and more questions...I hope everybody else is getting on better then I am.'
Yu-Gi-Oh!
"Phew! We sure were lucky!"
"Keep your voice down! Someone might hear us!"
Fubuki frowned at Kaito. "Hey, chill, will ya? We got on the boat to Academia didn't we?"
Kaito peered around the edge. "I can see Yushou Sekaki...but there are a group of people with him."
"Hm? Lemme see." Fubuki peered over his shoulder at the group.
"Fuck yeah! We're gonna go beat the shit out of Academia!" Leiko cheered.
"LI!" Ayu hit him over the head. "Do you want the whole ship to turn against us! Lower your voice!"
"That hurrrrrrrt!" Leiko whined.
"Hahahahahaha!" Johan laughed. "You two really are funny, you'd make great Entertainment Duelists! Oh! Maybe you could be a double act of Tag Duelists!"
"Hell no! I'm not an Entertainer! I'm an MLG, Doritos eating, Mountain Dew drinking badass! Ain't nobody got time for that shit!" Leiko argued.
"...Huh?" Johan replied.
"Don't worry about him." Ayu growled, tugging on his ear. "He spouts stupid stuff like this all the time."
"I think I was ignorant as to the true nature of Elliot's companions..." Greiger mumbled to Kalin, watching the display.
"It doesn't matter. They're strong Duelists, and our opponent is Academia. That is all that is needed." Kalin brushed it off...
"They seem to be talking..." Kaito noted.
"You figure that out all by yourself?" Fubuki chuckled, looking closer at the group, before his eyes fell on one figure in particular, making his eyes widen. "Hold on...is that...?"
Suddenly, there was an uproar of swearing from Leiko as a figure with orange hair appeared before the group. "It looks like an enemy has appeared...let's go!" Kaito told him.
"Asuka!" Fubuki ran behind him.
"Everybody turned towards the two as Kaito confronted Dennis. "Who the fuck are these scrubs?" Leiko asked.
"Uh, Asuka...isn't that your brother?" Johan asked, pointing dumbly at Fubuki, who was running over, waving his arms around with a big, idiotic smile on his face.
"Fubuki?" Asuka breather, her eyes wide in shock.
"Baby sister!" He cried in joy. "It's so good to see you again! I've missed you so mu-!"
As he went in for a hug, she kicked him in the groin.
Fubuki let out a manly scream as he fell to the Deck and clutched his privates.
"Fucking hell!" Leiko gasped, clutching his own manhood instinctively, whilst Greiger and Kalin also stared on in shock.
"Owowowowowowowowowowowow..." Fubuki whimpered. "A-A-Asuka...why would you do that to your big brother...?"
"Fubuki...how dare you show up here!?" Asuka growled, anger and hatred dripping in her voice. "I told you to NEVER come near me ever again!"
"Are you still focused on that?" Fubuki whined, standing up on quivering legs. "That was a while ago now, sis!"
"That's not the point!" She yelled in rage. "I will never forgive you, Fubuki! Never!"
"Anybody wanna fill us in here?" Ayu requested.
"This is my...brother." Asuka spat the word. "An elite soldier of Academia, known as one of the Death Duo!"
"What!?" Greiger gasped, immediately getting his Duel Disk ready.
"Heyheyhey let me talk for a second will ya?" Fubuki breathed. "I'm not part of Academia anymore. I reformed, y'know? I met this great guy named Elliot, and he taught me that working together against Academia will be better for all of us."
"Elliot did?" Leiko perked up. "Sounds a bit cliche, but works for me!"
"Bullshit." Leiko flinched at Asuka's harsh words. "Think I'll just believe something like that? You lied to me for so long, Fubuki! You told me that Academia's cause was noble! When you were destroying an entire dimension! Lives! Families!"
"I thought it was for, y'know, the greater good at the time!" Fubuki argued. "But, that's not what I'm about anymore! C'mon sis!"
"I don't have a brother!" Asuka shouted, as her Duel Disk activated. "You are a solider of Academia, my enemy! I won't let you do what you want!"
"Asuka..." Yushou sighed.
"H-Hey, I don't wanna Duel you, sis." Fubuki whimpered.
"Activate your Duel Disk!" She commanded.
"Okay! Okay!" Fubuki timidly complied.
"Hey! We should get in on this and make it a foursome!" Leiko cried, only for Ayu to hit him over the head.
"Idiot. This is a family thing. Don't interfere." She scolded him.
"DUEL!"
Fubuki vs. Asuka LP: 4000
"Um...maybe I should let my little sis go first?" Fubuki whispered.
"You go first." Asuka gruffly told him.
"R-Right." He replied. "I Normal Summon The Black Stone of Legend from my hand." A black egg of some kind appeared, covered in red cracks which allowed a hot crimson glow to leak out. "By releasing The Black Stone of Legend, I can Special Summon my ace from my Deck!" The cracks spread further and further until the egg shattered into a hot red light.
"Come forth! Darkest dragon with eyes of crimson rage! Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" The giant dragon appeared, it's red eyes gleaming menacingly with its 2400 ATK.
"There it is. Red-Eyes." Asuka said.
"I'll set a card and end my turn." Fubuki ended.
"End? Why didn't you Fusion Summon!?" Asuka demanded angrily. "Are you going easy on me!?"
"O-Of course I'm being serious!" Fubuki responded. "I'm trying to tell you that I'm not on Academia's side now!"
"Be quiet! My turn!" She drew. "I activate Machine Angel Ritual! With it, I will tribute the Level 6 Cyber Prima in my hand!" A giant stone alter rose up as the card became a blue flame that flew upwards before crashing down into it, giving off a blinding light. "Ritual Summon! Appear! Level 6! Cyber Angel Idaten!" A pink and black monster with red hair appeared with 1600 ATK.
"Woah! That monster is sexy!" Leiko approved.
"You're literally the worst!" Ayu did not.
"When Idaten is Ritual Summoned, I can add a Ritual Spell from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand. I'll return the Machine Angel Ritual in my Graveyard, and activate it!" The stone altar rose up once again. "I'll sacrifice the Idaten now on my field!" Once again, the monster turned into a flame that crashed into the altar. "Ritual Summon! Appear! Level 6! Cyber Angel Benten!" This time a red and white monster with flowing black hair and a golden crown, wielding a red war fan appeared with 1800 ATK.
"Why would she release the first one? This new one only has 200 extra attack." Kalin wondered.
"When Idaten is Tributed, I can increase the attack and defence of all Ritual Monsters I control by 1000!" Benten was boosted to 2800 ATK. "Now I equip Benten with Ritual Weapon, which increases its attack and defence by an extra 1500!" The monster gained a golden and white sword and shield that made its ATK 4300.
"4300 attack? Impressive." Greiger nodded.
"Of course! She's one of our strongest students!" Johan grinned.
"Battle! Cyber Angel Benten attacks Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" The monster ran forward and slashed the dragon with its sword, making Fubuki shield himself with his arms from the force of the impact as his monster exploded.
Fubuki's LP: 2100
"Now Benten's effect activates!" Asuka continued. "When it destroys a monster, you take damage equal to its original defence!" Ben ten fired a ray of light from her sword that knocked Fubuki off of his feet.
Fubuki's LP: 100
"She instantly reduced him to 100 Life Points." Ayu marveled.
"I activate the effect of Red-Eyes Retro Dragon in my hand!" Fubuki countered. "When a Red-Eyes monster I control is destroyed, I can Special Summon this card in defence position, and then Special Summon the destroyed monster from the Graveyard! Revive! Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Retro Dragon appeared on the field with gears spinning in its legs and 1600 DEF, as Red-Eyes revived, also in DEF Position.
"Playing defensive? Don't mess with me! I end my turn!" Asuka finished.
"Geez, how am I going to get through to you?" Fubuki sighed. "My turn! I activate the Spell, Red-Eyes Calling!" The card showed Red-Eyes Black Chick screeching as flames surrounded it, with a shadow of Black Dragon behind it. "By releasing a Red-Eyes monster I control, I can Special Summon a Red-Eyes monster from my hand! I'll release Red-Eyes Retro Dragon, and Special Summon Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact!" The smaller red dragon disappeared to be replaced by a flaming hot pink dragon, roaring loudly, even though it was in DEF Position.
"Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact is a Gemini monster, so I can Normal Summon it with its effect!" The flames around the monster grew hotter. "With its effect activated, my other Red-Eyes monsters cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect! I end my turn!"
"That's a kinda poor defence..." Johan noted. "I don't think he's really trying to fight her..."
"Is that it!?" Asuka cried. "Duel properly, damn you! My turn! I Normal Summon Cyber Petit Angel, and activate its effect!" A little pink robot that looked like Petit angel appeared on the field. "When it is Summoned, I can add a Cyber Angel or Machine Angel Ritual from my Deck to my hand! I add Cyber Angel Dakini."
'She's so serious...' Fubuki thought. 'What happened to the little girl I knew, who would always be happy to see me, show me how hard she was working on her Deck...wait...that's it!'
"I activate Machine Angel Absolute Ritual! With this, I will release the Level 2 Cyber Petite Angel and shuffle the Level 6 Cyber Prima in my Graveyard into my Deck!" The two monsters became blue flames that crashed down onto the altar. "Ritual Summon! Appear! Cyber Angel Dakini!" A female monster in golden armour with multiple arms wielding deadly weapons appeared with 2700 ATK. "Whilst I control this monster, all Ritual Monsters I control can inflict piercing Battle Damage!"
"This has opened up multiple ways for her to inflict that final amount of damage." Yushou observed. "Will you respond, Fubuki? You still have to get your message across to her."
"Battle! Cyber Angel Benten will attack Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact!" The angel leapt forward with its sword at the ready once again.
"Continuous Trap, open! Red-Eyes Resilience!" The card showed a battle-scarred Red-Eyes covered in flames, as the ground crumbled around it. "Whilst I control this card, I take no battle or effect damage! But if I don't control a Red-Eyes, this card destroys itself!
Asuka grit her teeth as Benten destroyed Red-Eyes Impact, only for a red shield to protect her brother from the shockwave. "Even Benten's effect..." The monster fired a ray of light again, but the shield protected Fubuki once more. "Then Cyber Angel Dakini will attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" The monster wielded all her weapons as she ran forward.
"I activate the other effect of Red-Eyes Resilience!" Fubuki pointed. "By sending this card from the field to the Graveyard, I can negate the destruction of a Red-Eyes monster by battle or card effect, and reduce any Battle Damage I would receive to 0!" He slid the card into his Graveyard as the two monsters clashed, Red-Eyes being successful in throwing Dakini back.
"Tch! I end my turn!" Asuka cried. "Now, Duel me properly!"
'There's only one card that can convey what I'm trying to say to her...' Fubuki placed two fingers on the top of his Deck. 'C'mon, Deck! I need you now more then ever!'
"My...turn!" Fubuki drew, and hesitantly looked at the card. 'It's this one! It really is!'
"I activate the Ritual Spell, Dark Dragon Ritual!" An obsidian black altar rose up in front of Fubuki.
"What? Dark Dragon Ritual?" Asuka asked in surprise.
"I offer up my Level 7 Red-Eyes as sacrifice!" Red-Eyes turned into a red flame that exploded into the altar. "Ritual Summon! Appear! Level 4! Paladin of Black Dragon!" The knight riding the black dragon appeared from within the altar.
"Paladin of Black Dragon..." Asuka breathed.
"That's right, sis! These are the cards you gave me!" Fubuki told her. "I've kept them in my Deck all this time! Because they're the precious cards you wanted me to use! So, on these cards, which I've always treasured, please, believe me when I say I am telling the truth! I'm not with Academia anymore! But beside that...I never wanted to be your enemy."
A silence descended over them.
"Fubuki..." Asuka lowered her arm, her monsters fading away.
"Asuka..." Fubuki did the same thing.
Slowly, she walked towards him, before leaning her head into his chest, and weakly punching him on the shoulder. "You big idiot...I missed you so much..."
Gently, Fubuki embraced her. "I'm sorry, Asuka. I promise, I will never wrong you again. Please forgive me..."
"That's lovely..." Ayu smiled.
"If you say so." Leiko shrugged.
Yu-Gi-Oh!
"I told you."
"Yeah, yeah, I get it."
Our group stood at the pier, looking out across the ocean.
"Everybody said that Academia was indeed an island in the middle of the ocean." Rise confirmed. "Bit better then a lucky guess I'd say."
"The question is how we are going to get there though." Rio wondered.
"Not a problem at all!" Anna said, mounting her cannon. "We'll fly there! No problem!"
"Can your cannon carry everybody?" I asked, looking at it.
"Uh, well, that is..." Anna coughed awkwardly.
"Don't worry, Anna." Anzel told her, activating his Duel Disk. "We have our own methods of transportation."
Soon, we were travelling across the ocean. I rode on the back of Anna's cannon with her, whilst Anzel and Rise rode New Future Dragon through the sky, and the Kamishiro siblings rode across the water on the back of Deepsea Combat Tank Shark.
Finally, we were on our way. To the end.
D.E Pain Slave: You can only use each effect of 'D.E Pain Slave' once per turn. If you take 1000 or more damage, you can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. If this monster is Tributed, you can target 1 'D.E' monster you control, increase its ATK and DEF by 1000 until the End Phase.
D.E Fear Gorgon: You can only use each effect of 'D.E Fear Gorgon' once per turn. You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Tributing any number of 'D.E' monsters you control. If this monster is Summoned by Tributing 'D.E' monsters, either by Advance Summon or by its own effect, you can target a number of monsters your opponent controls, up to the number of 'D.E' monsters Tributed for this cards Summon, and destroy them. If this card is Tributed, you can Special Summon a 'D.E' monster from your hand or Graveyard.
Red-Eyes Calling: Tribute 1 'Red-Eyes' monster you control. Special Summon 1 'Red-Eyes' monster from your hand.
Red-Eyes Resilience: Whilst this card is face-up on the field, you take no damage. If a face-up 'Red-Eyes' monster you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to prevent its destruction, and reduce any battle damage from that battle to 0.

Besides that though, what have you guys thought of the latest episodes and summaries of Arc-V? These guys are cutting it really close aren't they? Do you feel as if Arc-V has been ruined by this finale like some? In my opinion...meh, I don't care. I'll just write about it.
Also, I went to see Dark Side of Dimensions over the weekend. I twas awesome! I'm so glad I went! If you guys haven't seen it yet, I'd greatly advise you to check it out!
Now then, onto the question!
QOTC: What do you think Doctor Kirek's D.E Deck is focused on?
Do you think it's Fusion based? Advance Summon based? Give some of your ideas, I always love to here any theories you guys have. And if you have any questions you'd like to see answered in the future, ask those too, I love reading them!
