Alex, Sam, Dean, and Jo were in Alex's room playing with the twins when they heard a knock. Alex had healed easily, thanks to a little help from her guardian angel, and they were waiting to find out when the family could go home.
"I just wanted to check on-"
"Cas." Alex said softly. She sat up straighter in the hospital bed. "You came."
"Of course." Castiel approached the bed and took her hand. "I always come when you call."
"How are you alive?" Sam asked as he stood, being careful with Madison. "Where have you been?"
"I don't know how I'm alive." Castiel stepped closer to the newborn and smiled at her. "As for where I've been, I've been trying to fix the damage I've caused here on Earth."
"You couldn't have dropped a line to let us know you were okay?" Dean raised his voice but when the twins started to whimper, he lowered it again.
"I had to fix what I could before I could face you all again." Castiel looked ashamed.
"Thank you." Alex smiled at him. "For helping me."
"Of course. They're beautiful." Castiel said, gesturing to the twins.
"There she is!" Alex felt her blood go cold when she heard the familiar voice of her step father as he came into the room. "There's the happy mother."
"Get out." Dean growled at Dick Roman, placing himself protectively in front of his family. Sam and Jo held Madison and Levi closer to their chests.
"I just came to offer my congratulations to the happy parents." Dick smiled and it made Alex's stomach churn. "I did also want to let you know that you should get a better hacker next time. Frank really was too easy but he was delicious. Paranoia has a way of flavoring your meat in a way you couldn't imagine."
"I'm going to kill you." Alex promised him.
"I love the eagerness. I can't wait for you to try, really I can't." Dick winked at her. He watched Dean for a moment before turning and exiting the hospital room. Even after the monster had gone, Dean didn't move from his protective stance for a long few minutes. It wasn't long after that when Alex and the twins were released from the hospital. They didn't have anywhere else to go except Rufus' cabin but thankfully Ellen and Jo had set up a room of sorts for Levi and Madison.
"Cas, can you fix Sam's head now?" Alex asked the angel when the twins were asleep. Sam and Dean had gone on a supply run. "He's been having a really hard time..."
Castiel disappeared and reappeared a few minutes later. "He's healed. I am sorry for that, by the way."
"We've got bigger things to worry about right now." Alex offered a smile. "Like how to ice Dick Roman."
She filled Castiel in on the Leviathan issue. Apparently he had ignored most of the news out of fear of what would happen with the monsters loose.
"The only thing is how do you kill a Leviathan?" Alex asked him. "Borax hurts them and decapitation will slow them down but what would actually kill them?"
"The prophet is found." Castiel stood straight up and spoke in Enochian. "The prophet is found."
When Sam and Dean got back, Alex was alone. Castiel had disappeared after saying the prophet was found. Sam was checking his email when he got one from Frank. Dick wasn't lying when he said he had killed Frank, according to the email, and Frank had put a tracking device in his hard drive. But now someone was trying to hack it and the hard drive held all of their aliases, credit cards, and where they hid Baby. According to the tracking device, it was inside Richard Roman Enterprises.
"How the hell are we supposed to get it now?" Dean groaned.
"Maybe we can get it." Sam said.
"You want to go into the middle of the Death Star?" Dean took a drink of his beer.
"Unless you want Dick Roman to have all that info, then yeah we have to get it." Sam sighed.
"I could try to burn the info off it from here." Alex said, deep in thought. "Frank showed me a few tricks. The only thing is, we have to be ready to move because if they're watching it, they can track us here."
Do it." Dean said.
"Whoa. Wait a second, Dean." Sam said. "What about the twins?"
"We need to get this done otherwise we're all in trouble and that includes Levi and Mads. We'll get them to Ellen and Jo and Alex can do her techy hocus pocus." Dean said.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Sam asked Alex in hushed tones while they bundled up the twins.
"We have to. You guys get safe and then I'll do what I have to." Alex smiled at her daughter. "You'll be alright."
Alex gave her family kisses and hugs before sending them on their way. She waited until the car was out of sight before going back inside. She ran through the steps in her mind so she wouldn't forget anything at all and continued to do so until she got word that her family was safe. Taking a deep breath, Alex started her computer and started clicking keys. Each time she got closer to burning the information off the disk, she was blocked. Whoever was on the other end of this was smarter and faster.
"I'm going to have to go in and get the drive." Alex said to herself. "Great."
Alex debated on telling Sam and Dean but decided against it. She didn't want them to worry and knew they would try to go with her. No, it would be faster and easier alone. She packed her bag with borax, a machete, and her gun but didn't know what else to take with her. Her demon counterpart, Alice, was able to change her form at any time she wanted but Alex never had that talent, not without going darkside completely. Taking a deep breath, Alex closed her eyes and willed herself to be outside of Dick's building. She had downloaded a tracker on her phone that would make it easier to find the drive. It wasn't difficult to lie her way through the office and she didn't bother to hide who she was. Dick would know she was here one way or the other. All she had to do was find the drive and burn what was on it.
A redhead was staring at the computer and when Alex snuck up behind her, she could see that the girl was reading about Leviathan.
"Hello." Alex said, causing the girl to jump and turn around. "I'm Alex."
"Charlie." She turned to close out of the boxes on her computer.
"I don't have a whole lot of time for this but I know you saw everything about these Leviathans. I need you to delete everything on this." Alex said, looking around. "Now. Before Dick shows up."
"I'd love to but I have to take it to my boss." Charlie stammered.
"Look, Charlie, you seem like a nice girl but the information on this drive threatens my family: my husband, my brother, and my children, and I'll be damned if I let anything happen to them."
"Charlie!" Dick said loudly.
"Shit." Alex muttered.
"Have you hacked that drive yet?" Dick wasn't surprised to see Alex. "Hello, Alex. What a pleasant surprise."
Alex glared at Dick while Charlie made an excuse about it not being done yet. Dick leaned in close to her and snarled, "I know when I'm being lied to, Charlie."
Charlie stammered and Alex grabbed the borax from her bag and splashed it at Dick. She yanked the drive off the computer and took Charlie's hand and ran.
"Lock the building down." Dick ordered.
"You have to run." Alex told Charlie and gave her the borax. "If anybody comes near you, splash them with this. If they burn, run faster."
"What about you?"
"I need to clear this." Alex said, holding up the drive. "It has a tracking device in it and I can't take it home with me. Just go. You'll be safe."
"No. If your family needs this, then I want to help." Charlie said, her bravado never wavering.
"Then we need to get somewhere I can keep safe while you do it." Alex looked around the office and saw several guards headed toward them. She grabbed Charlie's hand and zapped someplace she knew Dick wasn't: his office. She locked the door and handed Charlie the drive. "Get to work."
Charlie got to work and Alex heard keys clacking as she prepared herself. She could hear voices in the hall a few minutes after she locked the door. Charlie snapped her head up when she heard the door jiggling.
"Keep working." Alex said. "How much longer?"
"A few minutes." Charlie said.
"Lexi, you shouldn't lock yourself in Daddy's office." Dick taunted as he pounded on the door.
"He's your dad?" Charlie asked.
"Step dad. Keep working." Alex said, wielding her machete. Dick broke the door down and stalked toward Alex. She swung her blade but Dick blocked her and knocked the blade from her hand.
"How are those twins of yours?" Dick said, with his hand on Alex's throat. He started to squeeze and lifted her in the air.
"None of your business you son of a bitch." Alex croaked. She gasped for air when she felt Dick drop her as he shouted. When Alex looked at him, his skin was burning and Charlie was holding the borax. "Let's get out of here."
Alex took her hand and zapped them to the cabin.
"How did you do that?" Charlie asked, clearly freaked out.
"I'm just that good." Alex coughed and texted Sam that it was done. "Can you disappear? Dick is going to be looking for you."
"Yeah. That shouldn't be a problem." Charlie stammered. "I've disappeared before."
"Good. I'll take you to a bus station. If you ever need help again, call me." Alex said. It wasn't much longer until Charlie was gone. Sam had texted back saying that they were safe. She showered and ate some dinner before Castiel came back with a small Asian boy who looked terrified.
"Who are you?" Alex asked the boy.
"I—I'm Kevin Tran. I'm in advanced placement." Kevin stammered.
"Cas, what is he doing here?"
"He's a prophet."
"What happened to Chuck?" Alex asked.
"I don't know but I can assume he is dead. Only one prophet can exist at a time." Castiel was watching Kevin while he hyperventilated on the couch, clutching a piece of rock.
"What's that?" Alex pointed at the rock.
"It's the word of God." Castiel replied.
"What does it say?" Alex asked.
"I don't know. Only the Keeper of the Word can read it." Castiel said. Looking around he asked, "Where are Sam and Dean?"
She told Castiel about the hard drive and where Sam, Dean, and the twins went. Kevin had managed to calm down minutely and he was breathing normally now and reading the tablet.
"What's Leviathan?"
