Hey! Is this a filler? I have no idea what this is. I hate fillers. I'm sorry for the filler.
Oh my, Jinxx, 5 more...
"Look at the zebras, Alexy!" Gracie called, pointing over the fence.
"Is that your favorite animal?" Alex asked, walking up next to her.
"No, the giraffe is, come on, let's look at it!" she grabbed his hand and pulled him to the next habitat.
"Gracie," her father laughed, "don't rip his arm off."
Gracie jumped and laughed. "Look at that one," she pointed at the giraffe that had head-butted an ostrich, "I think they're best friends."
"You could be right." Alex smirked.
"Gracie," Josh reached behind her and tugged on a strand of her blonde hair. "Do you want a snack? Dad's stopping at the concession stand."
"Yeah!"
She took off toward their parents, and Alex turned to Josh and grinned. "Wanted me all to yourself, did you, Corazón?"
"Is that so wrong?" Josh scoffed, turning to follow his family, taking a swig from his water bottle.
Alex chuckled deeply, falling into step with him, wrapping his arms around Josh's shoulders and linking his hands together so he couldn't get away from him. He pressed a kiss to his boyfriend's cheek and whispered something in Spanish.
"What?" Josh demanded.
Alex threw his head back and laughed heartily. He let go of his shoulders and grabbed his hand instead, interlacing their fingers. "It's a secret…"
Leo looked at Danni warily. "I don't know…"
"Come on, it'll be fun!" She grinned, jumping up from the bench and grabbing his arm, pulling him down the sidewalk. They walked through the front doors of the hotel and stopped in the lobby; the high ceiling hanging a crystal chandelier over their heads and a huge circular rug under their feet, laid out over the marble flooring.
"What do I have to do?" He asked.
Danni turned to him. "I found a whole list online, but we'll only do a couple so we're not banned if we're caught." She motioned for him to come closer so she could explain it to him quietly.
"You're a bad influence on me." Leo sighed.
"If you get in trouble, blame it on Tumblr." She smirked, flicking her curled auburn hair over her shoulder and pushing him toward the elevators. "Go!"
"I'm going, I'm going," he hissed, wiping his sweaty palms on his thighs nervously as he waited for the elevator to come down to him. When he stepped on, he was alone, so he took a deep breath and waited until someone requested the elevator to come down to the first floor again. Several people were waiting and when the first person filed in, he reached out and took the old woman's hand, shaking it warmly. "Welcome aboard, ma'am, please call me Admiral."
She blinked up at him, backing into the corner, and the other passengers looked at him strangely when he repeated it to each of them with a big grin. The hotel guests shrugged off the incident and he waited until they all got off to go back to the first floor. He walked off and rejoined Danni in the lobby.
"Well?" She prompted expectantly.
"Their faces were pretty funny." Leo snickered.
Danni smiled brightly, pushing past him. "Alright, you wait in the elevator with me, but stay in the corner."
He nodded in understanding and when the lift stopped at a floor to pick up a group of elderly ladies, she Danni held the doors open, peeking out into the hallway.
She glanced back at them and smiled politely. "I'm waiting for my friend." After a few seconds, she moved her arm and the doors closed, and she turned to the empty spot beside her. "Hey, Greg, how's your day been?"
One of the taller women's head tilted in confusion and a shorter one looked back at Leo and smacked his stomach with her purse. "Bloody trouble-makers." She grumbled as they got off the elevator.
Leo stared after her with wide eyes. "She won't tell on us, right?"
"Nah," Danni waved her hand dismissively. "Let's see, which one should we do next?"
Leo took a deep breath to calm himself when he began laughing at the thought of the next thing he was going to do. When a couple people came onto the lift from the lobby, he turned to a young business woman with a pantsuit and grinned widely. She looked up from her cellphone briefly, her eyes flitting to him but she chose to ignore him, until she seemed to crack under his giddy stare. She faced him, about to ask what he wanted but he spoke first: "I have new socks on."
She answered her phone when it began ringing and walked off onto her designated floor without another glance at him.
"Was it something I said?" Leo asked Danni, feigning hurt, and she laughed.
The doors opened again, revealing a middle-aged couple, and then the next two floors provided a man with a mustache and woman with bright purple lipstick. Danni stepped in front of the doors before they opened on the main floor and spread her arms with a smirk playing on her lips. "I'd like to take the time to congratulate you all for being on the same lift as me; you're all amazing!"
When the doors began to open on the sixth floor, Leo turned to Danni. "Hide it, quick!" He whispered harshly and then looked away, whistling innocently as the doors opened wide enough for two men that appeared to have been swimming in the hotel pool. The first one looked around the elevator, trying to find what Leo had been referring to and the other backed into the wall behind them warily.
When they were alone in the lift again, Danni laughed and Leo chuckled, resting his forehead on the wall. When the lift chimed to alert them that they were at the eighth floor, Danni hit his shoulder with the back of her hand, whispering what to say, and then busying herself with playing on her phone. A woman and three children walked onto the lift and Leo breathed in deeply, turning to her.
"This reminds me of being buried alive. Ah, those were the days…"
That was most definitely a filler...
