Ginger awoke from her nap with a smile on her face. She sighed happily enjoying the comfortable queen sized bed she was laying upon and knowing it was Roy's bed somehow made it more special. She giggled to herself thinking how he finally got her in "his bed". The redhead touched the pillow beside her wondering if it was "his" pillow. If it was the one he laid his head upon at night. How could those horrible women Patty and Lorna have not seen what a wonderful man he is! Well too bad for those two. Completely their loss. Her gain. Roy Hinkley was all hers. For the rest of her life, he belonged to her and her alone.

The movie star arose from the bed and fixed the blue shirt of the Professor's she was wearing. She told him he was not getting it back ever. Same with that blue lab coat of his. That belonged to her now. Tough. He would just have to deal with it. The academic did not argue stating that she looked a million times better in those items then he did. Ginger did have to concede that she enjoyed the way the blue shirt fit his body. Of course she would have preferred that once in awhile when they were on the island he would lose the shirt so she could admire him. Ginger couldn't help it. She thought he was hot and it's not like he didn't have the same thoughts about her. She knew what went on in that mind of his. It wasn't always science.

Speaking of science, she saw a brown leather journal sitting on a desk. Thinking it must be one of his science journals, she opened it and picked up a pen to write her own "scientific equation". A grin came to her face as she thought about his reaction to what she was planning on writing. She flipped to find a blank page when she then realized it was not a scientific journal at all. It was his own personal journal. Quickly, she closed it not wishing to invade his privacy however her curiosity got the best of her and she opened it back up again. "No No." Ginger said to herself. "I can't read this. That's wrong…I can't…Oh but I have to know what he wrote. It's killing me!"

The redhead opened the book back up and turned to a page and she began to read a passage:

I think I must be the biggest fool in the world! What was I thinking! Seriously what is wrong with me! I'm supposed to have this extremely high IQ but you would think I had the IQ of a rabbit with what I did! A golden opportunity to allow Ginger to know that I believe her to be the most beautiful woman in the world and I just blow it! I have go and say Mary Ann should be considered for most beautiful on the island! Me and my stupid big mouth! Surely Mary Ann is an attractive girl but by no means is she the one I am remotely attracted to. Not only that, her beauty pales in comparison to that lovely redhead! Why oh why didn't I just come out and say Ginger is the most beautiful! No the Skipper has to jump up and say this. Of course he would. Probably wants to show me up. And he succeeded. For certain if Ginger had the slightest interest in me, it is gone now with my stupidity! What if she turns to the Skipper? What would I do? What could I do? It's my own stupid fault!

There simply is no other female on this Earth who comes close to the beauty that Ginger radiates. She's a stunning goddess and I…I would do anything if she could be mine. I didn't mean to pick Mary Ann. I just thought it was awful that she had to sit there and listen while the others went on about Ginger and then Mr. Howell declaring his wife was beautiful. I had believed that Gilligan would have at least stood up and said something but he didn't. I don't understand. I was under the impression that he liked Mary Ann very much. The same way that I…I love that redhead. I love her so much and now I probably lost her forever. .

Ginger couldn't believe it. He did believe her to be the most beautiful one. Not only did he believe her beautiful, he loved her. The reason he said Mary Ann was just because he felt bad for her. That she would not think anyone thought she was attractive. She smiled to herself. What a dear sweet man! How nice of him to be so kind and not wish for her best friend to be hurt. Of course it did hurt her when he did this but now she knew the reason. Her beloved professor was never attracted to the farm girl. Just wanted to be fair that was all. This just made the movie star love that scholar more.

Wondering what else he had written, she turned to another page.

Interesting day today. I think I made up for my beauty pageant gaffe and got myself back in the running for Ginger's heart. At least I hope I did. It seems that Mary Ann had this boyfriend back home in Kansas that had decided to elope with another girl. This is of course is just terrible. Not one of us wanted to break this news to her. It would have broken her heart. However I did find this news to be a bit odd. Mary Ann having a boyfriend didn't quite add up because I see how she looks at Gilligan. Well anyway, Ginger thought it would be wise for us three single men to pretend to show interest in the young girl so it would boost her spirits. Not wishing for her to believe I was in anyway happy about this (which I was not) I stated clearly "Now just a moment, I have never shown the slightest romantic interest in Mary Ann." Ginger assured me that she could "teach" me to be more charming and then she led me to her hut for the charm lesson. I have to say that I quite enjoyed being alone with her and used the opportunity to attempt to use some charm on her. I lost myself though when she was holding me close (which by the way I was hoping would never come to an end) and pretending to be Cary Grant. She said for me to whisper something romantic back to her. I wanted to however the scent of her sensual perfume hit me and all I could think to say is that she smelled wonderful. I meant it. A part of me thought she would delight in this and maybe offer a kiss. It did not come to be as she got annoyed and frustrated with me but still. It was something.

The movie star giggled remembering that night. He had been so awkward in his attempt to be Cary Grant like. But it was cute and endearing at the same time. He tried hard. Little did she know how he was trying to impress her and had no thought about using anything she was telling him on the farm girl even if it was just pretend. Then again, that was her plan. When he said he did not have romantic interest in Mary Ann, her heart soared and knew that no matter what he was not going to succeed in making that girl think he did. There was a reason she said she would coach him. It wasn't just for Mary Ann's self esteem boost. She just wanted a valid reason to have him to herself. And maybe make him fall deeply in love with her. Worth a shot.

Ginger decided to flip to another entry in the journal. A very telling entry it was.

I must be really stupid. I cannot believe what I did. How could I do it? What exactly was I thinking? That could be the problem. I wasn't. My dream come true! Ginger. Beautiful sexy sensual sweet loving Ginger appears at my hut. At night. Looking like the angel I believe her to be in that gorgeous orange gown with her lovely red hair hanging down softly at her white shoulders. She said she could not sleep and saw the beautiful moon and thought it was a perfect night for romance. I could not believe it when she said this. I wanted it to be true. I did not believe it was however. I know that she had to have her mind on the attaché case we had found. The others were curious about the contents of that case but I advised we should not look as the documents inside are top secret government papers. Gilligan and Skipper had just attempted to swipe the case. So naturally I assumed Ginger was wishing to do the same. However that should not have been important to me. What should have been was getting to hold her in my arms and kiss her sweet luscious lips. Why couldn't I have at least seen if maybe a part of her act was true. That she just may have feelings for me and the case was an excuse for her act out those feelings. No I do not think about this at all. I just escort her out of my hut like a fool. Yes it turns out that she had hooked a fishing line to the case that Mary Ann was to reel out but still what would have it hurt to at least get to have Ginger in my arms for a little while.

Ginger closed the journal with a smile. He did want her there. He had wished to kiss her.
Oh why didn't she just up and kiss him herself! The Professor was not the only stupid one that night. She took too long to get to the romantic kiss. As soon as she said a perfect night for romance, she should have planted one on him. Truth was as soon as she entered his hut she honestly did not give a fig about the case and what was inside. Yes she hooked the line on but figured that Mary Ann would get it and tell her about the contents later.
How silly they both were that was for sure. Well that was behind them. Now they both knew that they loved each other and she was having his baby. Her hand went to her stomach and she smiled. "Your daddy is wonderful." She said to her unborn child. "He is by far the sweetest man in the world. Now your Aunt Mary Ann will fill your head with nonsense that your Uncle Gilligan is the sweetest but don't listen to her. Yes your Uncle Gilligan is very sweet but you remember your daddy is sweeter. He will do anything for you. Anything in the world. You'll see." As she said this she had wondered about something so she opened the journal again to another random entry.

It is official. I am crazy about Ginger Grant. I am completely in love with her.
She wants something I will do it just because I know it makes her happy. Today Ginger decided that she wanted to create a rock garden outside her hut. She thought it would look nice. So, she recruited me to go and get these rocks for her. Of course I said I would, she is far too beautiful and too delicate to carry those big heavy rocks. At least that is my belief. I could not allow her to strain herself trying to lift the boulder so I did it for her.
She was pleased with this arrangement and instructed me on what rocks she wanted. I had located a particularly large rock and carried it out. It was very heavy but I know she wanted it. Ginger was happy and said to me "Oh boy that's a big one Professor!' in a delighted voice. I was secretly pleased that she was happy with this rock however I knew the rock garden was really pointless (she did not know about how we men believed the island was sinking) and said the last thing the island needs right now is a rock garden.
Not really bothered by this she approaches me and gently strokes my hair with her fingers saying to me in her sugary sweet voice. "But you will get me some more, won't you Professor?" Would I? Of course I would. Again she wanted them. I inquired how many more she needed and she said "I don't know about 20 or 30 or 40. I don't know"
Her lips kiss me on the nose and all my strength leaves me as I drop the boulder on the ground. My back is aching but I say "I'll do it." Of course I will. I love her. I will do whatever she wants.

The starlet giggled again and set the journal back down on the desk. He did all that for her because it made her happy and she wanted that rock garden. He almost breaks his back just because his desire was to please her. She shook her head. He didn't need to do that. He could have said no. Instead he fulfilled her wish and gathered heavy rocks for her garden. The door to the bedroom opened and Ginger jumped quickly hiding the journal she had been reading in a drawer.. The Professor sensed she was up to something. "What is going on?" He asked coming into the room.

"Nothing darling." Ginger replied sweetly.

"What were you doing in the desk drawer?" He asked suspiciously.

"I was just um…looking for something…"

"What would that be?"

"Um…I just uh..I wanted to see if you um…had a pair of…nail clippers. That's all."

"You were looking for nail clippers in my desk?" The Professor asked not buying her story.

"Yes." She gulped. "I didn't see any there so I just…."

"Ginger." The Professor said coming towards her. "What did you hide in the drawer?"

"Hide?" Ginger laughed nervously. "I didn't hide anything. Honest."

"Is that so?" The academic said gently moving her aside and yanking the drawer open. His eyes went to the journal sitting there. He picked it up. "My love…were you reading this?"

"Of course not." Ginger lied. "I wouldn't dare do that."

"Are you being truthful?"

"Darling you know I would never lie to you." The movie star said in her most innocent voice.

"I have a feeling you are lying right now. And I intend to find out." Before Ginger could react he grabbed a hold of her and began tickling her ribs. Ginger squealed and squirmed trying to get away but it was futile. His hands then went under her arms and she burst out laughing. "Stop that…!" She cried in vain. "Quit tickling me…Roy…! " She squealed again as his hands went back to her sides. Finally she managed to wriggle out of his grasp and held her arms tightly across her body. "Don't do that. I'm pregnant. You shouldn't be mean to me." She said trying to sound upset.

This did not deter the Professor as he took hold of her once again tickling all over. "You read my journal…just admit it." He said as his fingers tickled her body. "Just confess."

"Never!" Ginger said defiantly as the shirt she was wearing became unbuttoned and his hand located her most ticklish spot. She shrieked as she attempted to move his hand without any luck. "Cut it out!" She giggled. "Roy…Stop it…."

"Say you read my journal." He said not letting up.

Not being able to stand it anymore Ginger finally gave up. "Okay Okay I read your stupid journal…I read it! Now stop tickling me!" He got in a few more before letting go.

Ginger fixed her shirt and feigned anger at him. "You are horrible."

"My love why were you reading my journal?" He asked ignoring her façade.

"I didn't mean to." Ginger stated. "I just…well I thought it was one of your science journals and I was going to write something in it but then I saw it wasn't and…well I couldn't help it. My curiosity got the best of me. I had to know what you wrote about me. Are you angry with me?" She asked with a slight pout.

He sighed as he knew he could never be angry with her. "No my beautiful starlet. I'm not angry with you. It's okay." He said pulling her to him and kissing the top of her head. "I should not be surprised you would go snooping. It's your nature. You can't help you are a busybody."

Ginger looked at him with a glare. "I'm not a busybody. You are sleeping on the couch tonight mister!"

Knowing full well that was not going to happen no matter how hard she tried, the Professor simply smiled at her and pulled her close. Ginger could never make him sleep on the couch to matter what she said. The woman always ended up crying that she did not want to be without him and would say she was sorry for trying to make him sleep elsewhere. "Forgive me." He said kissing her once more. "I shall never refer to you as that again."

Ginger smiled. "Okay then." She said. "I'll forgive you. But you watch yourself."

"I shall." He said holding her to him.

Ginger noticed the time. "Darling I should go get ready for dinner." She said as she let go. "I'm looking forward to getting to know your mother. She seems like a nice lady."

"I think she liked you." The Professor stated. "But then it is impossible to not like you. I think you and her will get along just fine."

Hawaii

Skipper was sitting on his boat in shock. He could not believe it. Alice…she said she was willing to move to Hawaii and she said that she believed she was falling in love with him. For so long he did not think any woman would say those words to him. But she did. Sweet Alice Norbanks says she is falling for him. His eyes went to her as she was sitting beside him. "You okay?" She asked of him.

"I…I'm…I'm just…Blown away I suppose is the phrase."

"I know it's a lot to drop on you. But I had to tell you. I had to let you know where I stood. Now I understand if you do not feel the same way…"

"No." Skipper said quickly. "I do..I mean…Alice…The thought of being alone here in Hawaii. I mean not totally. I would still have Mary Ann and Gilligan around. It helped knowing those two were staying here and Gilligan still wished to work for me. But I know after awhile I would see them so happy and in love it would start to get to me. I don't want go on like that anymore. I can't do it. Alice I think I just may be falling for you too. I think you are a terrific lady. When I thought you were heading back to Texas, it hurt. I thought for sure I would never get to see you again. I mean let's face it, Texas and Hawaii are not exactly close in location. But when you said you were willing to move here…it made all the difference in the world."

"So you are okay with it?" Alice asked.

"Am I okay? I'm more than okay!' He said as he hugged her. "I think it's great. I'm happy! I'm excited. I can't believe I have this great lady who actually wants to be with me!"

"I do want to be with you Jonas." Alice said returning his hug. "I like you a lot. I think this will grow into more. I do know that I can't leave you. I just can't." She let go. "This is where I belong with you."

Skipper brought his lips to her and kissed her softly. Alice smiled as the kiss broke. "You know.. we should have dinner to celebrate. Mrs. Howell had told me about some great restaurants around here. What do you say?"

"Sounds wonderful! I would love to have a dinner to celebrate you being in Hawaii and us being together!"

"Perfect." Alice said standing up. "I'll make the reservations and then I need to go shopping for a nice dress. I'm staying in George Howell's guest house. You can pick me up there. Say about six?"

"See you then." Skipper smiled.

Alice gave him one more kiss before leaving the boat. Jonas Grumby felt like he was floating on air. Imagine! This woman just shows up on a deserted island and his whole life changes! He thought he would be alone but Alice is brought into his life! A miracle indeed! The sea captain hummed happily to himself as he went about his task of removing the excess clutter from the boat he has purchased when he heard a voice.

"Excuse me, sir….are you Jonas Grumby?"

He looked some seeing two young people standing on the dock. "Why yes." He said pleasantly. "I am."

"Oh good." The young woman said "We were hoping you would be here. We looked everywhere."

"Well you found me." Jonas said with a smile. "What can I do for you?"

The young woman hesitated before speaking. "I…Well I'm not sure how to say this except just straight out…." She took a breath before blurting out. "I'm your daughter."

The Skipper froze not believing what he heard. The young man then spoke. "And I'm your son."

Jonas stood there in complete utter shock. Daughter? Son? How? He didn't…Slowly he stepped off the boat and approached the two. He was taken aback at how the young man had the same eyes as him. He then looked at the young girl who had the same type of nose as his. He was speechless. Words just would not come to him.

"I know this is a shock." The woman said. "Our mother was Ellen Harrington."

The Skipper shook his head. "No..No it can't…She…She told me she…"

"She lied." The young man explained. "She never terminated the pregnancy."

"What!" Skipper shouted. "What do you mean she…"

"Please listen." Gloria began. "Mom did not want to lie to you. She didn't but she felt she had no choice. Her father, our grandfather, forced her to. She was afraid that he somehow would take us away from her. Mom told us how grandfather disapproved of you. She was afraid that if she defied him, he would cut her off without a cent. She wasn't concerned with herself making it as she was with us. Mom did not want to have to be on the street with two babies struggling to survive. She wanted better for us."

"You have to believe she loved you." Adam said. "Mom told us she did. She told us all about you when we were kids. Showed us pictures, kept track of your Naval career. Mom passed away recently. She made us promise we would never forget what a terrific man you are. From the time we were little she made sure we knew that. When she thought you had been lost on the Minnow, it hurt her."

Gloria nodded. "She carried the guilt of keeping you from us. It weighed heavy on her. Mom was truly sorry she was not stronger. She knows she should have told her father she loved you and to hell with what he thinks."
The blonde dug something out of her purse. "Mom wrote this to you years ago but never mailed it. She didn't think you would want to read it but we want you to. It expains a lot.'

Jonas stood there taking it all in. Ellen did love him? She never terminated the pregnancy? He should have known that bastard Winston Harrington would have pressured her to lie. Ellen wouldn't do that to him. She just wouldn't. He knew her better than that. Why did he believe…"I…I don't know what to say….I…."

Adam spoke. "I know this is a major shock but when we heard you were found on that island, well we had to find you. We felt like we were given a second chance to know you. We want you in our lives. You are our father. Even though you were absent from our lives through no fault of your own, we feel a connection to you because Mom made sure we would have one. For years we dreamed we would meet you and you would be our father."

"It's true." Gloria said. "We were denied a father for so long. Mom never married. Now we have the chance to have one in our lives. We really want you to be a part of it."

Tears came to the Skipper's eyes. He had two children. A son and a daughter. Emotion taking over he put his arms around them both hugging them tightly. "I can't…I have a son and a daughter. This is…This is everything I could ever want. I'm a father!"

Gloria smiled as tears weld up. "And a grandfather."

Jonas let go. "A grandfather?"

"Yup." Adam said. "I have a son named Robert and another child on the way."

"And I have a daughter named Natalie." Gloria added. "I told her all about you. She is dying to meet you."

Skipper grinned. "Well I'm dying to meet her! I can't wait! Is she here?"

"No she's back home in Florida." Gloria explained. "It's just me and my brother who flew out. We were hoping that you would fly back with us to meet your grandkids."

Jonas was about to say yes he would then remembered Alice. "Oh well of course I would love to but I…I have some things I need to take care of first. I'm just getting settled back into my life here.."

"Oh we understand." Gloria said. "By the way…maybe we should tell you our names." She laughed. "I'm Gloria. And this is Adam."

"Gloria and Adam." Skipper smiled. "Wonderful names."

"Thank you." Adam said. He handed him a piece of paper. "This is the number to the hotel we are staying at. Call us as soon as you get settled in."

"I will." Jonas promised. "I most certainly will. I'm so happy to meet you both."

"We are happy to meet you." Gloria smiled. "To be honest we were not sure of your reaction. This is a major shock I know."

"It is but a good one." Skipper stated. "Listen I should get back to work…I promise I will call you as soon as I get everything in order. I mean it."

"Okay." Adam said. "We should get going. It was good to meet you." He hugged his father once more as did Gloria. They both then waved good bye as the Skipper watched.
Wow. He had not been expecting this. He then looked at the letter in his hand. Gloria said it would explain everything. Well he was certainly looking forward to this explanation.

Ohio

Ginger smoothed out her dress in front of the mirror hoping she would make a good impression. The Professor assured her she had nothing to worry about but she couldn't help it. She had only met Sandra briefly earlier. This time would be longer and she didn't want to do anything to make the woman not like her. She had never felt this nervous before but this was not just anyone. This was Roy's mother and she wanted Roy's mother to like her.

The Professor opened the bedroom door and admired his wife. "My love you look beautiful."

"You think this alright?" She asked of her orange sundress similar to the pink one she wore. It too had spaghetti straps. Orange flowers were printed on the skirt with just a little bit if glitter.

"It's more than alright. Relax already. Don't get yourself all worked up."

"I'm not trying to." Ginger said. "I just want it to go well."

"It will." He said kissing the top of her head. "Now stop worrying and let's go."

Ginger nodded as they left the bedroom and made their way downstairs. They left the house and walked to the car that Roy had rented earlier while she was napping. He started it up and pulled out of the driveway. Fifteen minutes later, they pulled up to Sandra's house. Ginger thought it quite lovely. "Darling is this the house you grew up in?"

"It is." He replied. "The very one."

Ginger looked at the sunny yellow house thinking it was very charming and warm. Little flowers growing in a garden. Freshly cut grass. They got out of the car and Ginger looked up at the window. "Which bedroom was yours?"

"Second window on the left." He answered.

She grinned. "Will you show me it later?"

"You want to see my old bedroom?"

"Why not? You can finally say you had a girl in your room." She teased which caused her to receive a huge tickle on her side. Ginger squealed and then kissed his lips. He put his arm around her and they walked up to the front door. He rang the bell and Sandra stated for them to enter.

Walking inside, Ginger thought the house was even more charming. Pictures on the wall of Matthew and Roy as children. She thought her darling Roy was so cute! What an adorable little outfit! The Professor shooed her away from what he thought were extremely embarrassing photos that only a mother would think adorable.

Matthew walked out of the kitchen and greeted them. "Hello again." He said. "Can I get you anything? Something to drink?"

"I'm fine." The Professor said. "Thank you."

"I wasn't talking to you." Matthew said. "You can get your own drink. I was talking to Ginger."

Roy was going to say something but knew his brother was just trying to push his buttons like always so he refrained. He turned to his wife. "My love would you like anything?"

"I'm okay." She replied.

"My love?" Matthew grinned.

Ginger gave him a look. "Yes. My love. I like it. It's sweet and romantic. You have a problem with it?"

Sandra came out shaking her head. "Ginger don't pay any attention to them. This is what they do. Matthew you behave yourself. Honestly." She said. Sandra then turned back to Ginger. "Would you like to see more of the house?"

"I would. Thank you."

"Come with me. I'll show you our family room. We spent all our Christmases there…"
Her voice faded as she lead Ginger to the other room.

Matthew looked at his younger brother. "Not bad." He said. "She's a knockout."

"Yes Ginger is quite beautiful. There is more to her than that you know."

"I'm sure." He said. "Still I have to know. How did you manage to snag her? You were never exactly one who was…aggressive with pursing a woman."

"That is true but Ginger, it was different. I loved her from the moment I saw her. I did not believe she would be interested in me at all but I was never more glad to be so wrong."

"All kidding aside I am happy for you. And I know Mom is too."
