Sorry for the late update (again). Two more chapters to go!

Syaoran paced around the room worried and stressed about Sakura. She hadn't made it home and it was nearly seven o'clock. He had texted Chii and Fai numerous times, even his parents, in hopes that maybe they'd know where she was. Chii had told him that she had already headed home and was no longer with her or Fai. His parents had yet to reply.

Finally he stopped pacing and sat on the couch, burying his face in her hands. Where was she!?

The doorbell rang and he was up in seconds to answer it. Standing at the door were his parents looking concerned and worried. Syaoran rested his head against the doorframe in disappointment before stepping to the side to let them in. He shut the door against the freezing cold night air and turned to face them.
"How long has she been gone?" Syaoron cut to the chase.
"I received her text at about five thirty." Syaoran replied.
"She was out at Chii's and Fai's?" Rena asked.
He nodded, "She had gone to visit them for the day."
"It's alright-everything will be ok." Rena murmured.
"How can you say that? She's missing!"
"You need to stay calm so that we can find her. Sit down in the lounge room-I'm going to call Yuui and Freya." Syaoron said, and waited as Syaoran and Rena walked into the lounge room. Then, he pulled his phone from his pocket and dialled Yuui's number and waited.
"Hello?" Yuui answered.
"I need a favour." Syaoron said quickly.
"What's happened?"
"Sakura's missing. I suspect it's connected to 'that' case."
"Do you want Freya there, too?"
"Pretty sure only her skills will be fit for the job I have in mind." Syaoron murmured.
"We'll be there soon."

Yuui hung up and Syaoron sighed. He entered the lounge room where Syaoran was sitting restlessly and Rena had her hand on his shoulder to comfort him. She looked up at Syaoron, "What did they say?"
"They'll be here shortly." He murmured.
"I see." She replied softly.
Syaoran grit his teeth. He should have gone with her-she would have been safer that way!
"You need to calm down." Syaoron murmured.
"I can't."
"You have to-Sakura needs you to."
Syaoran focussed on calming down, releasing the tension in his jaw and taking deep breaths. He had to focus on finding Sakura. That was the most important thing right now.

Sakura woke on a cold, dirty floor with the feeling of cold metal around her bare ankles. She sat up and took in her surroundings, finding herself to be locked in a circular cell with a rotting bed and a sink with a dripping tap.
"What in the…" she groaned and sat up, rubbing her stomach. She was fine, at least. No harm done yet.
She looked up in fright as she heard the sound of a metal bar sliding across the door, which swung open revealing a man dressed in a black t-shirt and dark blue denim jeans. He had a strong muscular frame and square jaw, his eyes black and cruel. On his wrist was a tattoo of two wolves circling a moon.

"You're coming with me-the boss wants to see you." He said, unlocking the chains around her ankles and handcuffing her wrists before hauling her up by the arm.
Sakura whimpered, his grip too tight on her arm.
He hauled her up the hall and into a much nicer looking room with comfortable chairs and a fireplace. Sitting by the fire was none other than the man who had killed her parents, the King of Aiana and the leader of a gang.
He smiled upon seeing her and set his wine glass down on the table beside him.
"We meet again."
"Who are you!?" Sakura hissed, all of her pent up rage and anger rising to the surface.
"You know who I am." He replied.
"No-I want your name you bastard!" she snarled.
"If you must know, it's Cleis." He said dully.
"What the hell do you want with my family?" Sakura demanded. "You blackmailed Syaoran's parents and slaughtered mine! Why!?"
He chuckled. "Dear me. No one has told you anything."
Sakura felt confusion settling in.
Cleis picked up his wine glass. "I'm in a gang. The type of gang I run-it's what we do best. We destroy families like yours. I make sure to kill off the last remaining users of Spirit, and while doing so, I spread fear." He smiled.
Sakura clenched her fists, "So, you killed my mother and father just because…"
"Yes." He smiled. "Torturing you was just for fun. I should really finish the job now…"
"You…you're sick…" Sakura whispered.
"Yes, I suppose I am."
"Don't you care about Tiffany?" she asked.
"That foolish girl? She's run off to marry that idiot prince, Lelouch. I couldn't care less." He laughed bitterly. "Don't worry though. You'll have a nice death, along with that annoying husband of yours. Take her back to her cell-we'll wait until they arrive."
Sakura was then hauled away. "You'll never get away with this!" she screamed.

Yuui and Freya arrived swiftly on the doorstep finding Syaoran looking distraught as they entered the house. Freya immediately began setting up her laptop on the table and began typing in numerous passwords on the keyboard. Nobody asked what for.
She opened up a program and Syaoron walked over.
"You said you wanted my skills-what am I looking for?" she asked.
"Try and trace Sakura's phone." He said.
Syaoran looked up with some confusion-trace her phone?
"This will take a moment." Freya mumbled as she began typing at the speed of lightning.
Syaoran waited patiently beside his mother, looking back up only when Freya finally mentioned something.
"I've got her location-well, her phone's location, anyway. I can't say for sure whether or not they tossed it." Freya said.
"Can you zoom in on the location?" Syaoron asked.
"Sure."
She pressed a button twice and it opened up an image of the location; an old barren tower that no one ever visited anymore.
"Do you think they'd toss it in such a strange area?" Yuui asked.
Syaoron thought for a moment. "I don't really know. It's possible that this could be a trap."
"Trap or not, we need to get Sakura back." Rena said.
"Yuui and I will stay here-you should go and help Sakura." Freya said softly.
With that said, Syaoran was already on his feet and heading out the door.
"Impatient boy," Rena muttered, rushing after him and Syaoron followed quickly behind.
"We'll stay in contact." He said as he passed them.
"Yep." Freya called back.

Sakura wrapped her arms around her stomach. Her back hurt-a lot. She was frightened and cold and just wanted to be with Syaoran back home. Her phone had been taken from her earlier and she had no definite way of contacting him and warning him not to come.
The pain subsided.
She took in a deep and heavy breath, releasing it slowly to calm her pounding heart. How long had she been stuck in the cell for?
She looked up, glaring at the door as it opened and the man from before entered.
"Get up." He ordered.
"No."
"Get up now." He snarled, grabbing her arm and pulling her to her feet. Sakura whimpered in pain again.
He forced her out the door and down the hall once again bringing her to the room where Cleis had chosen to reside. Cleis was still drinking wine.
"It's stupid to drink before a battle." Sakura snapped.
"Oh? You think so?" he smiled.
"Yes."
Cleis sighed casually. "I wonder how long it will be before that child of yours is born. A few hours? Have you already started feeling the pains of labour, I wonder?"
"Back off!" she hissed. Another stab of pain started across her back. She winced.
Cleis laughed.
He began walking across the room, his footsteps echoing on the black and white checked tiles, and Sakura had no escape.

Syaoran was quick to blow out the heavily locked and padded door that barred their way. He cared nothing for whether they alerted the enemy or not-all he needed was to get to Sakura as soon as possible-and he would get rid of anyone who tried to get in his way. As they headed inside they were confronted by a long staircase and quickly began to climb the steps. As they ran up the stairs Syaoran couldn't sense Sakura's magic and began to panic.
Sensing his rising distress Rena called out to him. "Don't panic now!"
He kept running up the stairs.
Finally, they came to the top where a large hall stretched out before them. At the end was a door. He slammed it open, the only door on that floor, and cautiously entered.

Sitting in the middle of the floor was a girl, her long auburn coloured hair ratty and knotted and her dark eyes bloodshot and red rimmed. She was extremely pale and the only thing she seemed to be wearing were brown rags and her skin was covered with large purple bruises from being beaten.
Rena gasped in horror.
Syaoran was about to step forward to help her but his father stopped him. He looked at him and Syaoron shook his head.
"Don't-look at her wrist."

Syaoran looked over. He spotted the familiar tattoo on her wrist.
"But why do that to her?" he asked.
"Keep your guard up."
The girl sat staring blankly into nothing, and then her hand twitched. Rena spotted the slight movement but the other two didn't.
"Get down!" she screamed, pulling both of them back into her arms, the warmth of her magic surrounding them.
Dust and rubble flew past them in a cloud of smoke. The light of Rena's protective barrier continued to swirl around them for several moments and then dissipated.
"Are you alright?" Syaoron asked as he helped her to her feet.
"I'm fine, but you…"
"I can still walk. It's nothing to worry about." He said.
She glared at him and he smiled.
"Where could she be?" Syaoran asked irritably.
"Let's try looking downstairs," Rena suggested. "We may have missed something."

Syaoran headed out the door within seconds and they followed after him, climbing down the stairs. They passed the main entrance and made their way down another flight of stairs and deeper into the tower. They passed a door that was hanging open and briefly looked inside to find that it was something similar to a dungeon cell, and continued on down the hall where they came to face another door. Syaoran kicked it open and sure enough Sakura was inside, kneeling on the floor in pain.
She looked over, relief washing over her glazed emerald orbs as she saw Syaoran.
Cleis narrowed his eyes upon seeing Rena and Syaoron enter behind Syaoran. He quickly stepped back as Syaoran leapt forward in an attack, dodging his kick. Rena took the chance to pull Sakura back into her arms.

Sakura could feel something warm surrounding her, something similar to Syaoran's magic but slightly different in nature. She could see Syaoran standing protectively in front of her and on the other side was his father.
"It's going to be alright."
She heard Rena's soft voice in her ear. Sakura winced again.
"Protective magic? That can only do so much." Cleis sneered.
Syaoran looked out the corner of his eye at Sakura to see if she was ok. For the most part, she seemed uninjured.
"I should have killed you when I had the chance-both of you." Cleis muttered.
"That was your dumb mistake, wasn't it?" Syaoran spat.
"Yes. Well… we'll see."
Syaoran dreaded what he had planned. Why did he want Sakura so much?
Sakura screamed in agony.
"Shh, shh, it's ok." Rena said softly, trying to calm her.
Syaoran was about to move to go to her side but Cleis smiled, his eyes pinned on her.
"Don't move. If you do, I'll kill her."
Syaoran didn't move.
Sakura clutched at her thigh, her chest heaving with each spasm of pain. Rena lifted her skirt to see the winged tattoo glowing bright red, but there was something strange about it-odd, trickles of blood were making their way onto the floor, tracing the same pattern onto the tiles like sand at a very slow rate.
"Mind you, she'll die if you don't stop that from spreading anyway." He shrugged.

Syaoran had no choice. He had to do something. He looked out the corner of his eye-how long would Sakura be safe with his mother? Her protective charm could only last for so long…
"Don't lose focus."
His head snapped up and he looked to his father. He looked to be in pain, probably from the injury to his ankle.
Syaoran looked back to Cleis. "What is it you want?" he demanded.
"It's quite simple really. I want you to surrender."
Syaoran clenched his jaw.
"Syaoran." His father murmured warningly.
"Quiet you." Cleis hissed.
A sudden and sharp pain shot up Syaoron's leg and he fell to the floor in agony. The pain began to spread, slowly paralysing his limb and further into his body.
"What did you do?" Syaoran demanded.
"It was a simple paralysis seed." He shrugged. "It'll kill him too, shortly."
Syaoran looked to Sakura and then his father. He desperately needed a distraction and quickly.
"So, what will it be?" Cleis asked.

Syaoran had no other choice.

It was him or his family.

He had to do it. Pride had nothing to do with this.

He clenched his fists, closed his eyes and took in a deep breath.
"Syaoran, no!" Rena screamed.
Syaoran sighed heavily. "Fine… I surrender."

Sakura watched in horror. Blood sprayed across her face and Cleis grinned. Rena screamed.

Thank you for reading.
I was reading through some of my previous works and crying over how bad the grammar is or just the layout. I'm so annoyed with it hahaha (one day i'll go back and fix it)
