'Well your going to have to walk home you fucker!' Merle growled at Daryl, he was trying to convince him that he wasn't going to help him in any shape of form sign out of hospital. 'Suck it up, your upsetting the girls,' the girls still hadn't come back from the park yet.
Daryl knew he'd made nearly Carol cry because he was insisting on going home. She'd argued with him quietly on the ward before getting up and walking out taking Sophia to the little park outside attached to the hospital. For a swing and to get away from his foulness.
She knew he had a headache and he was taking it out on everyone. He was in more pain than he was letting on to everyone. Carol could see it behind his eyes and she wondered if maybe they overlooked a cracked rib or something in their race to stop the bleeding.
She voiced her concern's to the doctor and they taken him away for an xray and they were cracked, meaning that his recovery was going to be 6 weeks or so until his chest was healed or somewhat healed, she didn't really know how it all worked. She just knew that made him even more frustrated hearing that news. He was just foul and was hissing and snarling at everyone who was pushing and prodding him. They were taking blood pricks testing his glucose levels and checking his blood to make sure everything was going ok.
'You just pumped me full of this blood now your checking you didn't put crappy stuff in, shouldn't you checked before you put it in?' he growled at the nurse who was sticking him. Her hands were shaking with nerves making sure she hit the spot on one hit. Carol had felt sorry for the nurse having to deal with him, trying to check his blood. She had never seen him this foul before, she wondered if his head and shoulder were worse than he was letting on.
'Daryl, your being mean,' Carol was feeding Sophia watching her lovely man behaving like a child. She was tired and frustrated, and she felt sick, like she wanted to heave. She hoped she wasn't getting sick on top of everything which would mean she had to keep away from Daryl, and the hospital, or it was just nerves. She felt like she was walking a type-rope with him. His emotions were all over the show.
'I'm ready to go,' he told her, 'I'll be fine at home, I'll just sit in bed there as much as here,'
She shook her head telling him there was no way in hell he was going until he could hold his own dick to take a leak. Until then he was staying in the hospital, he growled at her because he couldn't stand to take one and had to sit down. He was glaring at her. She wondered if he needed some more pain meds or knocked over the head with a brick or something to keep him in his bed. He could get up to use the bathroom. That took two nurses to help him walk there. She had hopes that tomorrow he would start to get slightly better.
'You could hold it,' he growled at her. Carol felt like there was no way she would be going anywhere near it ever again if this was his true personality coming out. She knew it wasn't. She just hoped it wouldn't last long.
'Well with the way your behaving its unlikely there will be any holding in that area for quite some time.' She told him, 'I'm taking Sophia to the park, hopefully you can have a attitude adjustment before we come back. Kiss Sophia,'
She held Sophia out for him to kiss, she tried to suck on his cheek, like a leech. 'Come on Sophia, Daddy's being a sulky baby. We already have one of those at home,'
'Kiss?' Daryl asked as she began to leave.
'You going to sign yourself out while I'm out?' Carol asked. Daryl didn't look at her. 'Well no kisses for you, or sex, or anything,'
'I'm fine,' he called after her, he could tell she had tears in her eyes and he wasn't helping. While she was away Merle arrived saying Andrea had text Carol and they were both in the park with Sophia. He then called him on the fact he was going to self release. Merle was laying down the law with Daryl.
Carol come back with Sophia and noticed a change in his demeaner and he was more sulky and grumpy than before. She put her hand on his head he felt like he was on fire.
'Do you feel ok?' she asked him.
'I'm fine, I need to go home,' he was just slightly irrational.
'Daryl, what does you wound feel like?' she asked him.
'Fine,... its fine,' he growled.
'Let me look,' She took off some of the tape holding the bandage on. 'How long has it been hurting, it looks like its on fire,'
'Dunno, this morning,' he mumbled, 'Don't look at me like that,'
Carol called the nurse in to flush his wound, he'd not said anything since his dressing change, his temp was through the roof, even though they been pumping him full of antibiotics. His body was losing the fight. They called a doctor in to assess it again. Taking him away to treat him while putting him under local to get it sorted. He come back in a slightly better frame of mind.
In fact he was giggling when he come back, out of it, laughing about nothing. Everyone was funny to him.
'If you think I'm sexy... and you want my body come girl just let me know!' he sang to them...'Nah nah nah nah nah... sexy baby you drive me crazy... na na na na na... sexy baby ... driving me crazy...' he kept humming.
Merle started laughing, quickly followed by Carol and Andrea. 'That's some good shit,' Merle commented.
'Carol, your soooooooooooooooo pretty,' Daryl told her, 'Sexy baby, you drive me crazy,... na na na na na,'
'Thanks,' Carol told him, his eyes were out of focus, the nurse stopped by to check him telling them they gave him a little something to relax him because he was being... well she more or less implied he'd been so foul to them while they were cleaning him up he made one of the interns cry so they gave him something to help 'Relax' him. Carol knew they gave him something to stop him being such a pain in the arse.
He was actually pleasant to be around. They wondered if they could get some to take home keep him doped up for the next 6 weeks. He finally fell asleep and they all had a break from him, he was worse than Sophia, with his drama's and grumpiness.
