Chapter Fifty-Three:

Next day:

The Reigns family enter their home with Emma holding her baby sister. Ever since they got the okay to go home, she wanted to hold her. With her waiting quite awhile to hold her, they agreed. Lily also made sure that at least of one of them is with them at all times. It is not like they don't trust their daughter, but if Isabella needs anything they are right there to help.

"Sweetie, do you want something to eat?" Roman questions his daughter, who is sitting on a chair with her baby sister. Lily went up to their bedroom to sleep more.

"I'll maybe a snack, daddy." She tells her father as she looks at her baby sister. "Daddy, was I this cute when I was born?"

"You were even cuter. You would cuddle with us every time we would hold you. You always had the cutest giggle when we tickled your tummy." He smiles.

"Really, no wonder I thought everyone was good. I had nothing but caring, loving parents around. I didn't know that they are bad people in this world." She recalls the Paul situation.

"Yup, we taught you young that not everyone is like us or like your Aunties and Uncles. You would just shrug it off, however we kept reminding you of it." Roman placing some fruit and vegetables in a bowl with some whipped cream beside it.

"Thank you for teaching me that daddy. However, meeting Paul really put the nail on that conversation. He really showed how bad a person can be." Emma dips a carrot in the whipped cream.

"Not to scare you, baby girl, but there are far worst people out there. They all come in different ages, heights, genders, and personalities. That is why you don't talk to strangers because you don't know their motives. Although, it paid off when you talked to Lily, but you didn't know that." He warns her daughter.

"It definitely did daddy, but I won't do it again unless it is a police officer." She bites her carrot.

"Correct, now how about we put Isabella in her crib?" He requests as she is already sleeping in Emma's arms.

"No, I have only held her for 30 minutes. I waited too long to just hold her." She pouts. Every time she thinks it is a good time to hold her baby sister it is taken away too soon.

"You will get another chance to hold her. You are eating right now and your baby sister needs to rest." He explains.

"Okay, but can I carry her to her crib." She asks disappointed.

"Of course you can." He smiles knowing that she is going to be a protective, loving big sister to Isabella.

After putting Isabella in her crib, Roman grabs the baby monitor before leaving with Emma. For the first few months, they want her in their room to give her, her care faster.

"What is that?" She points to the baby monitor. To her it looks like a walkie-talkie.

"This is a baby monitor, we can hear if she cries with this." He explains.

"Wow." She just thought that parents just know when babies cry.

"Yup, now finish your snack." He takes a strawberry for himself. This action leads to receiving a playful glare from his daughter.

In the Evening:

Lily wakes up to Isabella crying. "Oh, what is wrong with my baby?" She picks her up as she rocks her gently. That doesn't work, so she feels her diaper, it is clean. Next, she tries to see if she is hungry. She sits back on the bed before talking off her shirt. Isabella attaches to her breast quickly to drink. "Ah, my baby is hungry." As Isabella is drinking, she rubs her head. "You are the cutest baby ever. I can't believe we made you." She smiles at the creation her and Roman made.

"You are right. She is going to be closer to you than me." Roman interrupts her silence with their newly born daughter. Lily looks up to see the rest of her family at the door. She realizes she is half naked, so she covers herself quickly. "Yeah, she is definitely a mommy's girl." She giggles.

"I don't think that exist mommy." She giggles too while she sits next to her mother.

"Well, it will be our phrase in this family." She kisses her head. "How long did you get to hold your baby sister? Did daddy take her too quickly?" She whispers.

"He did I only got her for 30 minutes." She pouts.

"Don't you worry, we will get him later." She whispers louder for him to hear.

"I heard that." He crosses his arms. "This is what I'm afraid of. Isabella is not even a day old and she is working against me."

"I am sorry daddy." She pouts, her famous pout, to get out of trouble.

"Fine." He knows that he can't resist her pout. "I just wonder what Bella would think of you spending all your time with Isabella." He tries to turn the tables on her. "I don't even think you introduce your puppy to her baby sister." He grins.

"Oh my goodness, I totally forgot about my puppy. I left her here for a day I am a horrible parent." She shakes her head feeling awful.

"Don't be that way. You had an exciting day, yesterday, it is okay. Tell her Roman. Tell her that it is okay." She shoots eye draggers at him.

He is taken back and scared of her look. "Princess, Bella will forgive you. I bet when she sees you she will jump into your arms to lick you." He gently speaks knowing that his plan backfired.

"You think so?" Emma lifts her head to look at her father.

"Of course, Bella loves you like we all do. Isabella might be newly born, but I know she loves her big sister." He smiles innocently hoping that it is enough to make his daughter happy again.

She gets off the bed to hug her father for his sweet words. "Thank you. I love you."

"I love you too." He hugs her back as Lily smiles at the father-daughter interaction.

"I'll be back with Bella, so she can meet her." She skips to her room where Bella usually sleeps.

"So, how is our other baby girl?" He sits beside her after she moves over.

"She is quiet until a few moments ago; she was hungry." She snuggles into him.

"Oh that is why you were half naked. I thought you were flirting with me in front of our daughters." He grins.

"Roman!" She calls out a bit surprise. "We don't that in front of our daughters ever. Does she know that I was half naked?" She whispers the last part.

"No, you were too fast for her, but not for me." He pecks her cheek as the look down at their baby.

"I am never fast for your eyes. You would always catch me in the act." She puts her shoulder on his shoulder.

"Honey?"

"Hmm."

"I think you should put a shirt on, so you don't scar our oldest daughter." Roman suggests with the knowledge that he would be the same way.

"Why you don't like my naked chest?" She smirks.

"Oh I definitely do and so does Isabella, but I think she is just using you for milk." He chuckles. "Emma and Bella on the other hand don't need to see it."

"Fine, hand me one of your shirts, please." She orders him as she tries to burp their daughter.

"What is wrong with the shirt in front of you?" He points to the shirt that on the blanket.

"It doesn't smell like you. Your shirts, even though I wash them, will always smell like you. I am addictive to your scent." She smiles brightly.

"Good answer." He goes to his drawer to pick a t-shirt. The only clothes that are in the drawers are their underwear, socks, and their sleep clothes. The rest of there are in their walk-in closet. "Here you go wifey."

"Thank you for the shirt, husband." She hands their daughter to him to put on his shirt. Before she can put her back in her arms, Bella and Emma enter the bedroom.

"We are here." She is carrying Bella, who is nestled in her arms. "You were right daddy; Bella did jump into my arms and started licking me. I ask her if she is ready to meet Isabella and she barked happily."

"Well, come over you two to show Bella to her new baby sister." Lily waves her over happy to see her daughter happy.

"Bella, this is Isabella. We have to protect her from strangers." She tells her puppy. Bella barks as she wages her tail giving a sign that she understood.

After the introductions, Emma, with her puppy on her lap, sits in between her parents to watch some television. Their new born daughter is still in her father's lap getting tickled on her stomach.

Next day:

Everyone is coming to greet Isabella to the family. Lily and Roman start to make lunch for everyone as Emma holds her baby sister as promise. She is on the couch with Bella beside her watching cartoons. Her parents can watch them through the opening.

"What time did you say for them to come?" She is now almost done with the sandwiches and Ice Tea.

"I said around 2. I was surprise that Dena didn't come yesterday to see her." He was kind of expecting him to make a unexpected arrival.

"Well, he did she her when you showed her to Emma, so there is no reason for him to come yesterday." She acknowledges.

"You're right, you are always right." He kisses her neck.

"Stop, your children are right there." She moves her neck to the side.

"They can't see us as well as hear us if you be a good girl." He grins with his hands rubbing her sides.

"Well, you're a bad boy and will be punished tonight." She kisses his hands. He gulps has Isabella starts crying. "Mommy!" Emma panics not knowing what to do.

Lily enters the living room to pick up Isabella. "What is wrong with our baby?" She feels her diaper. "My baby is wet. We can definitely fix that." She walks to the baby room across from their room.

Emma sits back all quiet as she scratches Bella's ear. When she is upset she scratches her puppy's ear to feel a bit better.

"What's wrong with our baby girl?" Roman sits beside her.

"I am not a good big sister." She tells her father.

"Why would you say that?" She is a bit surprise she would feel that way.

"I panicked and didn't help my baby sister; I froze daddy." She sniffs feeling tears coming.

"Oh Emma-" He chuckles. "You might be mature for your age, but this is not your job. You are suppose to play with your sister, make funny faces at her to make her laugh, hold and protect her. That is all you do while mommy and I do all the stinky and hard activities. We are suppose to take care of you two not us take of you and you take care of you sister." He explains while hugging her.

"I do so well with Bella that I thought I could do the same with her. I can't do that being that she is human." She giggles just imagining walking her sister like she does Bella.

"Actually, you can do the same activities you do with Bella with your baby sister." He thinks about it is possible to transfer the skill over.

She looks at him confuse thinking if he is serious. "Like what?"

"Well, you scratch her ear you can tickle her tummy. You walk her, so you help her to walk when she is old enough. There are a lot of activities you can do the same, but just modify it. Just think how you can do the same thing, but make it benefit to your sister and our needs." He smiles not knowing that she can help a lot more than a usual six year-old can.

"So, me holding her, so you two can cook help you both?" Emma questions.

"Exactly, we don't have to cautiously look after her when you have her. We know you can keep her company and safe while we are busy. You don't have to worry about earlier. You did the right thing in calling mommy's name. It would be better if you called me, but you did great." He pouts a bit.

"You can be just like me sometimes." She lightly hits his chest as she giggles.

"I have to keep up with my girls, right?" As always he likes to give her girls back their own medicine like they do with him.

"Right." She agrees loving how they can switch roles and not get mad at each other.

"Our clean baby and I are back." Lily walks in with Isabella in her arms. "I also changed her to look nice before everyone gets here. How does she look?"

"My baby looks gorgeous, well she always looks gorgeous." Roman tells her loving anything that his wife wears.

"Daddy, she is talking about Isabella." She smiles still loving the cute moments with her parents.

"Oh, our baby girl looks very cute just like her mother and sister." He takes his turn to hold their baby.

"Thank you for that." Lily accepts. "Now, our big baby girl needs to get change, so daddy can get change to." She holds out her hand for her to take it.

"Are we going to wear the same outfit as before?" Emma questions liking her outfit very much.

"We will see." She guides her to her bedroom.

As they enter Emma's room, the door bell rings. "There are your Aunties and Uncles, are you ready to be smothered with love?" Isabella just looks at him with a blank expression. "Good answer." He opens the door to of course Dean and Renee with baby grace.

"Hello. Long time no see." Dean enters carrying Grace in her portable car seat.

"Hello, you are the first ones here as usual." Roman greets. "The older girls are upstairs getting ready."

"Okay, now where is the new baby girl?" Renee enters behind Dean with the baby bag.

"She is right here looking just like her father." He lifts her to have their faces side by side.

"I don't see it." Dean looks in between them.

"Dean, be nice today. Sorry he didn't take his nice medicines today." She puts her head on his shoulder.

"Sorry man I'm just tired. Grace likes to keep daddy awake all night long." He picks her up from the car seat. "Isn't that right, sweetie?" He tickles his daughter on the stomach.

"Isabella doesn't keep anyone up at night so far, maybe when she's older." He grins knowing that he has the more behaved baby.

"Roman, behave." Lily with Emma walks down the stairs. "Hello Dean. Hello Renee." She greets.

"Hello Lily." They both greet back.

"Uncle Dean. Auntie Renee. Hello." She speaks in an excitable mood. "How is my favourite niece doing?" She is on her tip toes to see her.

"Good, but can you talk to her to not keep daddy awake all the time." He asks Emma with a pout. Dean and Renee both realize that already Emma and Grace have this girl bond. Grace listens to her.

"I'll see what I can do. Come here Grace Lynn, we need a girl to girl talk." Dean hands her to Emma, who takes her to her room.

The rest of the guests arrive to start the gathering. Emma is still with Grace upstairs. Everyone, beside them, is in the living room as Lily and Roman, with Isabella on Roman's lap, open presents.

The Seth family gives them a full stocked changed table with diaper disposal. Dean and Renee gives them a pair of light pink small size shoes with a matching outfit. "Baby, how cute is these shoes?"

"They are very cute, what do you think baby girl?" Isabella responds with gurgle sounds. "I think she agrees on them being cute.

"Open ours next." Phil is excited to see their reactions.

"Okay-"He reaches for the medium sized box. "Wait, what did you give our baby?"

"It is a bunch of onesies with sayings on them." Phil smiles innocently. April doesn't want to get involve knowing what is inside.

"Thank you Phil and April." Lily responds first before Roman can. She opens the box to see one onesie spread out. It says 'My parents are the best.' "Aww, thank you guys. See there is nothing wrong with it." Roman glares at him still not believing that these are innocent onesies. "Roman, say thank you."

"Thank you." He tries to say sincerely.

What Lily doesn't know is that the side facing away says 'Although, my Uncles and Aunties are better.' They all try not to laugh to give away the secret.

"So Lily, how did you come up with Isabella?" April changes the subject to not start any trouble.

"Well, we wanted to incorporate Bella in her full name, but we didn't know how to. We looked through baby books and ask people not close to us. We did that, so it will give us an outer perspective on the name. If we ask you guys, the names might be limited to our circle of names." Lily explains.

"Lily, I'm hurt. I really hurt." Phil covers his heart as he winks at Dean. He fills in the best friend hurt card that they didn't ask them their opinion.

"Phil, behave. We get it Lily we did that to, didn't we Philly?" April grins. He doesn't like it when she calls him that especially in public.

"I told you not to call me that." Phil whispers.

"I'm sorry. Love me." April smiles sweetly.

"Always." He kisses her lips.

"So anyways, back to the name." Seth redirects the conversation as Phil shoots him a glare.

"I just found the name in the first baby book I read; it pop out at me. I opened the book and the page had Isabella on it that is it. It fit perfectly to what I wanted. It had Bella's name in it and the origin of the name fit her.

"That's nice." Renee says.
