I want to add a bit more Dany/Jorah in this chapter…they are getting super close to Kings Landing! Sansa/Sandor, Tywin/Jaime interaction….we shall see how this goes.

Get out of here

….

The Khaleesi walked around on the deck of her ship, watching the others follow her to the Iron Throne. She smiled as she watched Drogon fly above her, spinning in circles before blowing fire onto the water near the ships. Jorah watched the spectacle as well, becoming nervous at how close the flames were to their ships. He walked to her and cleared his throat,

"He is getting too close to the others, Khaleesi."

Daenerys turned around and looked at him, "He won't harm them. I am very pleased with his training, Jorah. It seems that after his time in the city, he learned a lesson of some kind. Drogon reminds me of Khal Drogo. He is strong and a fighter that will not back down. I shall enjoy it very much to ride him over Kings Landing to take back what is mine." By now, she was walking past him and to where Missandei stood, holding a tray of different fruits for her. As she picked out the freshest fruit, Jorah spun around and shook his head,

"You plan on riding him into battle? Surely you are jesting me."

She looked at him with a sweet smile on her face, "Oh, no. I would never jest you, Jorah. Please, come with me."

For the past few weeks, Daenerys and Jorah have gotten closer in ways he had always wanted and she had always thought would never be. She would find herself sneaking glances at Jorah as he walked the deck of the ship at night, watching the others and making sure they were on course. The kiss they shared in her cabin lingered on her lips for days after that, and she dearly wanted him to do it again. Such girlish and childish thoughts would come to her head and she would shake it, ridding of them and turning back into the Mother of Dragons. He has seen her naked more than once and has seen her do things with the Khal on several occasions, but never has he disrespected her in any way, and that was part of the reason why she believed she was falling for him.

Jorah followed her to her cabin and she gestured to a seat, "You may sit if you wish it." Jorah shook his head and argued, "I cannot allow you to ride that dragon." Right away, Daenerys sighed, "It is not for you to decide, Jorah. I am their mother and I will not show them fear. I will ride Drogon into Kings Landing when we make it there and I will fight upon his back for my right to be Queen once more." She watched his face show worry and she turned away, "If you only wished to tell me that, I suggest you go."

Her words were cold, but Jorah could tell she was upset. He walked towards her and reached out his right hand to touch her shoulder. When she felt his hand touch her, she closed her eyes and leaned back, "Jorah, you will not stop me." He chuckled and mumbled back, "I may not be able to, but I will ride with you, my Khaleesi." She numbly nodded as she felt his hand come around her chest and rest above her bosom.

"Jorah?"

He whispered back, "Do you want me?" The silence in the room was unbearable as she slowly turned in his arms and looked up at him, "I-I do." At those words, he unpinned the straps of her gown and without warning Daenerys threw her arms around his neck and began to kiss him uncontrollably. Jorah kissed her back with the same amount of want and need and soon they found themselves on her bed, removing the rest of their clothes, and joining themselves together. As he made love to her, Jorah saw the Targaryen madness slowly disappear from her eyes just for a moment as she smiled up at him and cried out his name.

"I am getting tired, Sandor. We must stop."

The group had been traveling for nearly a week and were moving slow towards the North. Sansa was becoming tired more often and she was now three months pregnant. Although she was not too big yet, she found herself getting sick and having to sleep at odd times during the day.

Sandor dismounted and lifted her from the saddle before carrying her to a tree to rest against. The weather was warm still, and the sun was bright upon them as Jaime stopped his horse and looked at them, "We cannot keep stopping, Sansa. If we do, no doubt the guards will catch up." Sandor looked at him and growled, "If she must rest, then she shall. Make yourself useful and find a stream or river nearby for water." Jaime sighed as he dismounted and then mockingly bowed to Sandor, "Of course, sire!" Sandor stood and went to unsheathe his sword as Jaime walked past him, but Sansa spoke up,

"He means well, Sandor. Put your sword away and sit with me."

He did as he was told and sat near her as Jon and Tarrent decided to dismount and look for food. Sansa looked at Sandor and whispered, "I know you are getting upset with me." He looked at her, "What makes you think that? Don't worry, little bird, you are escaping for two and I know how ill you are. Is it not so easy?" Sansa closed her eyes and as she smiled and shook her head, "No. Your son is making me ill this week. Perhaps I shall feel better tomorrow?"

Jaime returned and smiled, "Great news! I found a small river not far from here and the water is warm. If anyone wishes to bathe, now is the time." Sansa nodded and stood, dusting off her gown, which still held dried blood on it. She grabbed on of Sandor's satchels, "Come on, Sandor. You can help me undress." They walked down the hill a ways and found the river Jaime was talking about. Sandor was unsure if he should turn away to give her privacy, but Sansa was already removing her boots and untying her gown. She smiled at him,

"I doubt seeing me naked will burn out your eyes. Besides, how else did we make love?" Sandor smirked and watched her undress and rush into the water. His eyes watched her small baby bump as the water covered it and his curiosity got the best of him, "Can you feel it? The babe, I mean?" Sansa looked up at him from the water and shrugged, "The baby hasn't quickened yet, but it feels like I have a lump in my belly. I can feel him in there, Sandor." He nodded and sat on the grass near the water,

"Good. I mean, when you do feel him move, will you…"

"Sandor! Sansa!"

Jon and Tarrent came running form the woods and Sansa screamed as she covered herself, "Jon! Please!" He covered Tarrent's eyes and yelled, "Jaime just saw his father riding on horseback not too far from here! We have to move, now!" Sandor stood and ran into the water where Sansa stood in shock. He grabbed her in his arms and carried her from the water before placing her down on his cloak. Sansa's teeth chattered as he wrapped her and carried her towards the horses again, "What do we do now? What of my gown?" He growled in response,

"Leave the gown. I'll buy you a new dress in the next village. We have to leave!" Jaime was not mounted on his horse as they arrived. He shook his head as he helped Sandor place Sansa on Stranger,

"Go on without me."

"Jaime, please do not risk your life for our own."

He looked up at Sansa and smiled, "I would do anything for a fair maiden, my Lady." Sansa smiled as Sandor mounted behind her, "I am no maiden, Jaime. Please, follow us?" Sandor hushed her, "Let him stay behind if he chooses." He looked at Jaime, "Should you survive, you will find us in White Harbor. There should be a ship there in three weeks that will bring us to the free cities. We will wait as long as we can." Jaime nodded and whispered to him, "I must face him alone. If I do, I can buy you time." Sandor nodded in understanding and soon, Jon and Tarrent were riding behind them as they rode north and through the river Sansa had been bathing in.

As they left, Jaime unbuckled his sword belt and tossed it to the ground next to him just as Tywin and his few guards came through the trees. Jaime knew his fate was to die, for running, and for helping kill his own sister, but he would accept that fate. Tywin saw his eldest son standing before him with his arms raised and his sword on the ground. His heart clenched at the thought of his son, once a protector for the King, standing before him, ready to give up. Tywin stopped his horse and spoke,

"Will you give up so easily?"

Jaime smirked and shrugged, "I suppose dying is supposed to be my next big adventure."

…..

Jorah opened his eyes and felt a warm body on his side holding him close. He looked to his right and saw his Khaleesi, Daenerys, naked as her name day and her pale arm resting across his naked chest. He smiled to himself before slowly sliding away from her on the bed and leaning down to kiss her head. As he stood, he walked naked across the large ship cabin to fill up a bowl of water to wash with and as he did, Daenerys opened her eyes and watched him. She smiled to herself as she turned in her bed and looked up at the ceiling of the room. The sun would be setting soon and she would have to meet her maid and the others on deck to give her orders for the night.

"Do you wish to stay in bed?'

She looked at the end of the bed and saw Jorah dressing for his nightly duties. Danenerys smiled and stretched, "I wish I could." He smiled and sat down on the bed to place on his boots and as he did, his Queen sat up and wrapped the sheet around her before crawling to where he sat and wrapping her arms around him. He smiled and laid a hand on one of her own as she kissed his neck,

"Everything has changed, hasn't it?"

Jorah thought for a moment. She was still the Khaleesi and he was still her shield, but it was true that so much has now changed. Jorah nodded and whispered, "Aye, Daenerys, everything has changed." She nodded in agreement before standing from the bed,

"I dreamt of the throne last night. It is close, Jorah, and soon I will sit upon it and you shall be at my side." He looked confused as she dropped the sheet and grabbed a fresh gown of blue from her chest and began to dress. He put on his remaining boot before asking, "You will keep me at your side?" Daenerys paused and looked at him, "You will be my sworn shield until I find a more adequate position for you to be placed in. Do you agree?" Jorah nodded,

"I swear my life to you just as I did the day we met."

Daenerys had him clip and tie her gown before she turned around and tied his tunic front, "Good. Now, I suspect Missandei and the others are wondering where we went to." She smiled at him before turning and leaving the cabin. Jorah watched her leave before grabbing his sword and following her. All he knew now was that he would follow her to the end of the earth, for he loved her more than anything he has ever known.
