Chapter 32

Upon going back to Hogwarts Kamui was greeted with a Hokuto actually doing school work, Subaru nowhere to be found. "Hokuto?"

"Hmm?"

"Where's Subaru?"

"With the headmaster and head girl, getting special instructions for graduation, why?"

"Do you know how to get to the communication room then? I need to call home."

"The new room with all the floo connected fireplaces? Third floor."

When Fuuma came over after Kamui left, Hokuto raised an eyebrow at him. "Alright, what did you do?"

"What? Nothing why?"

"Kamui's beyond mopey, you're the last person he was with, he was smiles this morning, what did you do? Because if you ever hurt Kamui…I'll kill you." Emerald eyes narrowed and her wand was pointed at the taller male.

"Jeez...did you give my brother the same speech?"

"As a matter of fact I did. Now what happened?"

"Well you see…."

Kamui hesitated by the fireplace, kneeling on the cushion. …Was he really doing this like some arrogant lovesick fool?

Yes. I love Fuuma, but I'm only 18. I need advice from someone older, someone who knows Fuuma much better than I do.

He threw the powder in the fire place and spoke his destination.

After feeling like he had just taken a one-way trip in a washing machine he was staring at the inside of the familiar house, how many times had he stayed over here ever since he met Fuuma nine years ago?

"Well this is certainly unexpected, they let you use fireplaces there like phones now do they? Damn I was born too early. I assume you want my father though to talk about my idiotic brother. I'll be back."

What Kamui did next took him swallowing all of his pride. "Actually Seishirou? I wanted to talk to you."

"Whatever for?"

"Look, you're his brother, I know you know him almost as well as you know Subaru…so please…"

"I suppose I can spare a few moments, we are family now right?" The book was closed and glasses were removed; Kamui felt a pang for Subaru here. Seishirou had always worn glasses and he couldn't help but wonder if it had anything to do with his mother.

"Now what is it?"

"I wanted to talk about Fuuma."

"I know, what did the moron do?"

"He got scouted for the Tokyo Dragons."

"No surprise there, he was always amazing at sports, not the little nerd who kept his nose in a book; she always said he'd play pro one day."

Kamui didn't dare ask who 'she' was, he assumed it was Kotori their long dead sister, but what had happened to her?

He caught the older male wiping his eyes on his sleeve. "Sorry, ash got in my eye. So what's the problem? Don't you want him happy?"

"I do but…I don't want to lose him."

"You truly are pathetic you know that?"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN PATHETIC?! WHY I OUGHTA…"

"Don't get your robes in a tizzy, but think about it. Subaru and I have spent two years apart more or less and ta-da, look married and when he graduates he's moving in with me."

"You two were also engaged."

"That doesn't matter. When you truly love someone you wait for them, be it a year, ten, or twenty. Besides, Fuuma's path may change."

"What do you mean his path may change?"

"Just because he's hyped about being a pro Quidditch player now doesn't mean he'll want to be forever. I used to want to be a healer like my father is."

"What...why?"

"My sister...she was always sick...now though, here I am as an Auror, so you see? Paths change."

"Why change?"

"Because there's no way I could be a healer, not with who I am….That aside I must be going, I have stuff to do. If you're worried so much about my brother, you should be talking to him. Not me. Not Hokuto. Not Subaru. Him. Tell him and test the waters of how much he loves you, that's all I'm going to say on the subject. Run along now like a good little student."

Kamui saw him check the gold wristwatch around his wrist; a gift from Subaru, did he ever take it off? before disapparating. Kamui cursed his cramped legs.

Why was Seishirou so hard to deal with? How did Subaru understand him? He spoke in bloody riddles! Although it seemed Kotori had died of sickness…the poor little thing. That would be something to talk to Fuuma about one day, but that would be one hell of a conversation.

'Oh hi Fuuma, I found out today through your brother how your sister died, I'm sorry, what was she sick with?'

No, right now he needed to focus on him and Fuuma as selfish as that was, it was all that mattered at the moment.

Seishirou sat on the doorstep of what would become his and Subaru's new home, enchanted mirror in one hand.

"That was ridiculously difficult and I swear when Subaru and I figure out how to have a child, you're stuck on babysitting duty for at least a week so I can have alone time with him."

"Yeah yeah, did you reassure him like I asked you to?"

"Indeed, I just hope you know what you're doing."

"I do. Now do me a favor and go to Gringotts and take money out of my vault...there's something I want you to get for me."

"Now you really owe me."

A/N: Kamui is finally learning to understand his brother-in-law eh? Oh the crap my brain comes up with when it's tired xD troll pod doesn't help~
