:So...Am I in trouble? Because it's been ten months? Don't throw stuff at me...I already explained what happened in a short puppyshipping oneshot I posted, so please read that for the reasons of why I was gone. I am terribly sorry, a lot had happened. But, um...I'm rusty as all hell, but who cares? I rewrote this chapter's introduction about six times, at home AND at school. Please enjoy this rusty continuation of A Pharaoh's Visit!:
Joey rested on his dorm floor, his animal care book laid out in front of him as he sat Indian style. He scanned over the pages, looking up only for a moment to gaze at his two friends. They sat across from him, Yugi staring into a notebook with his back against his chair and his legs crossed, although Joey had no knowledge of why he was studying. The only thing Yugi needed to really study at the current moment would be the lines of the play, but he had learned all of them from what he remembered. So that meant he didn't have to study, right? Was there really a need to study more if you already knew the material? Bakura sat on the other side of the small friend, his body taking a similar sitting pose to Joey's, one hand held a dark leather covered book while he scribbled on a piece of paper with haste.
He sighed, turning a page in his book to a section on how much exercise an animal needed to be healthy and not fully exhausted. He turned the page once again, he had plenty of knowledge of that topic. His eyes rested on a picture of a golden dog, one that resembled his own, Aureus. His cheeks became a light blossom color, his mind racing to the memory of yesterday.
Joey could barely believe it when it had happened. Seto, an adviser, a royal had asked him out. And you said yes. And he had said yes...He gulped, trying to clear his mind for a moment. After Seto had asked him and he had replied, he had spent time with royal, simply walking around and going to lunch together. Strangely though, when he had went to lunch Anzu and Bakura weren't there. He had a slight idea of why Anzu had been gone, but he didn't know why Bakura wasn't.
"What're you doing, anyway?" Joey suddenly asked, gaining the attention of his two friends. Bakura looked to Yugi, and he looked back to him. They had been studying there since about four in the morning and it was almost five. Why ask them what they were doing now? Heck, they were still clothed in their pajamas.
"I'm working on a project." Bakura darted his eyes back to his book before he sat it down and flipped the paper he was writing on over. He shifted his body, changing his sitting position to a laying down one where he was laying on his stomach. He scribbled onto the paper, the pencil in his hand quickly forming the shape of a person on the paper.
"What're you drawing?" Yugi questioned, lowering his notebook for a moment to look at his silver haired friend.
Bakura looked to the side for a moment, before pushing his leather book in his direction, the book opened to the page of a particular demon.
Yugi sat his notebook down, reaching over to the book and taking it into his hands.
Incubus and Succubus
Demons that go to their victim to tempt them with sexual desires, as they would commit their sexual assaults they would-
"You're drawing a succubus?" Yugi rose an eyebrow, lowering the book in his hands. He saw Bakura shake his head as he continued to draw.
"No." Bakura sat up for a moment, scratching his head as he tried to think. "I have to do a presentation over a demon, which would be okay." He sighed. "Other than the annoying fact I have to find a damn volunteer to wear an outfit to represent the thing."
Joey blinked for a moment, was that okay for the school to do? What was he saying? Of course it was...The school did whatever the heck it wanted anyway. He watched Bakura lay back down, clearly wanting to drop the conversation about his project.
"Better question is," Bakura jabbed his pencil in Yugi's direction. "What are you doing?"
Yugi rose a confused eyebrow at this; "What do you mean?" He grabbed his notebook. "I'm studying."
"No you're not." Bakura resumed drawing, making a shirt for the body he had drawn out. "If you were studying you wouldn't hear a damn thing we were saying. You'd zone out and not pay attention to your surroundings unless someone bugged you." He narrowed his eyes at his short friend. "So, what are you actually doing?"
Yugi's eyes widened at the response, was it that obvious? He looked down at his notebook, the acts and lines of The Red Nile written out in front of him. He sighed, laying the book down and closing it before he closed his eyes and laid his head against the back of his chair.
"I'm..." Yugi lifted a hand to cover his eyes. "I'm thinking..."
"About what?" Joey dared to ask, his animal care book forgotten as he stared worriedly at Yugi.
"I have to practice Act three..." Yugi felt his heart start to race a little. "Today." That made the two friends look up at him, their minds suddenly figuring out what he was saying. Oh...right. Act three, the kissing scene. Bakura bit on his pencil, not knowing what to say. Honestly, although he was happy he was trying to help out his royal blind friend, he was worried about Yugi. Poor kid still had to be confused.
"Scared of kissing Princy?" Bakura stated blankly. Joey's eyes moved to Bakura, why did you just say that?! Yugi's eyes widened from under his hand, his heart reacting to the sentence, his face was becoming warmer. He gulped.
"N-No." Yugi breathed out, trying to calm himself down quickly. "No, I'm not." He removed his hand from his eyes, his friends looking at him with a confused stare. "I asked Ms. Valentine if we could skip that scene in practice today and tomorrow."
Oh. "You still have to kiss him when you're performing the actual play." Joey reminded him. "Why are you trying to avoid it?" He stood up, looking at the clock and reading 5:45. He walked to the closet, removing his uniform. "You could always stage kiss."
Yugi knew he could. He knew he could just tell Ms. Valentine he wanted to stage kiss. But that wouldn't be professional and he knew he would most likely get a lecture from the teacher if he even asked. Also he really didn't...He bit his lip, his heart not being able to calm down as he began to think of something for a moment. He shook his head quickly, ridding himself of a certain thought he was having. No, do not think that! You can't think that!
"Y-Yeah." Yugi cleared his throat, standing up and going to get his own uniform, he stole a glance at Joey. He lowered his eyes down to his ankle. "So, how's your foot?"
Joey froze. Crap, he forgot about that. He adjusted his ankle for a moment and making a grimacing look on his face before he responded; "Nurse said it was alright, I just can't put a lot of weight onto it or else I'll damage it more." He took off his shirt, throwing it to the side, being sure to lean on the wall to look like he was putting weight off his feet.
"Well, rest today." Yugi smiled softly. "I don't think you want Seto worried about you." He watched as Joey's face became flushed and fell over, his hand grabbing out to grab some leverage only to latch onto his uniform and bringing it down on top of him as he crashed onto the floor on his stomach.
"What the hell?" Bakura looked up from his drawing, two bodies being drawn on it now with one of them clothed in a strange attire. "What in god's name made you want to suck face with the carpet?"
Joey grumbled a response, grabbing a nearby chair and leaning on it to help him up. He had to pretend to be injured, and that was hard to do...He sat in the chair, his face still red and his heart beginning to speed up. He ran a hand through his hair. He had forgotten to tell them about Seto...
Yugi tossed his uniform over on his chair, barely missing Bakura's body as it flew over to it. He crossed his arms, tapping his foot at his friend. He rose an eyebrow as Joey turned to look at him.
"What're you looking at me like that for?!" Joey questioned loudly, his voice an octave higher. Ah, that wasn't good. Yugi narrowed his eyes at him.
"Joey." The said man stiffened, his eyes focused on Yugi. "I'm not dumb, you know this." Joey held in a curse, well this wasn't good. Did Yugi figure out that he was faking his ankle? Was he going to get yelled at? Was Bakura going to also yell at him for failing his only, and easy, job in the plan?
"I know-"
"So, tell me." Yugi let a small, knowing smile appear on his face. "What happened with Seto?"
Bakura smirked, standing up and placing his paper in his book. He walked over, grabbing his uniform before he stood next to Joey's chair and leaned on it with the hand holding his clothes behind him as he looked to him.
"Yeah, Joey." Bakura leaned closer, causing Joey to turn to him and back his head up a little. "What happened?"
Joey felt sweat rolling down his forehead, oh boy. Why were they suddenly asking him about him for?! Did he say something about him? What did he do to make them just ask?!
"You freaked out when I mentioned him." Yugi answered him, confusing Joey as to whether he had said his questions out loud or not. "Did something happen with you and your royal while you were resting?"
"N-Nothing happened!" Joey argued, his body language disagreeing with him as he sat there. Why did his face have to turn red? Why did sweat have to visible? Why did just thinking of yesterday make him want to die from embarrassment?!
"Bullshit." Bakura chuckled. "Come on, tell us." He looked to Yugi's desk, eyeing a clock on the top of it. They had a good five minutes left before they had to leave.
"Nothing?" Yugi let out a pout, shrugging as he went to his chair and removed his uniform from it. He began to disrobe. "So, I can go to your boyfriend to ask him what you two did, and he'd say the same?"
Bakura couldn't help it when he chuckled at what Joey did. As soon as Yugi had uttered the word boyfriend, Joey had reacted by his body beginning to shake a little and him getting up quickly to finish getting dressed.
"Bingo." Bakura lifted his eyes to Yugi, who nodded to him in response. "So you and Mr. Ice-Cold, huh?" He too began to remove his clothing, walking to his bed as he did so. "About time. Now we got you and him plus Anzu and Princess."
"Yeah, yeah." Joey mumbled, he shot a look at him. "Now, what about you and-Ah!" He yelled as he felt a pillow smack him in the face, sending him back against the wall in a panic. Yugi adjusted his tie, looking behind him and rolling his eyes.
"Bakura, you're going to damage his foot more."
"He was about to say something stupid."
"Oh, so you can ask me about my relationships but if I-Hey! Don't leave me here!"
()()()()()()()()()()()()
Seto felt his cheeks become hot as he looked away from his three friends, their expressions labeling excitement, shock, and complete happiness for him. The four of them stood in the main hall of the royal dorm, he had just said in simple words of what had happened yesterday. He figured it would be a good time to tell them before they all separated to their own locations, but...They were so childish, it was simply a relationship. They had no need to-
"I'm so happy for you!" Mana clapped her hands and jumped forward, wrapping her arms around her Adviser's neck and giggling as they swung around.
Atemu chuckled, clapping a little for his friend. Well, how about that? He had done it. He smiled at the thought of Joey and Seto, truly this was the best event to ever happen to his adviser. Ever since meeting the blonde, Seto had been happier so one could only imagine how he felt now that they were together. Together...huh?
His smile faltered a little, his mind going to a certain beauty. They had practiced act one yesterday, an okay scene but it still had interactions between Khu and Wahankh, making both him and Yugi become stiff in their acting. Even though they had that talk in the dressing room, they would still avoid the eyes of one another, they would stand close but not close enough to actually interact. And They could barely even glance in the other's general direction without an awkward shade of red going over their cheeks. Atemu sighed, he knew this was going to be a challenge...but what else could he do?
He resumed looking up at Seto, trying to forget his thoughts as he watched him try to pry Mana away from him and failing.
"M-Mana this is completely unne-" Mana held him tighter. "Let me go!"
"But you finally did it!" Mana cheered, hurting the poor man's eardrum. "And he had said yes!" She finally released him, allowing him take a gasp of air.
Malik watched silently, blinking in shock. He asked Joey out? And Joey said yes? Well, he wasn't surprised about the saying yes part, but he actually asked him? He looked at the newly coupled friend, noticing how his face was a barely noticeable shade of pink, he was probably happy...No, more than happy. He turned his eyes to the floor, drifting off into his own thoughts.
Anzu and Mana had gotten together...Now Seto and Joey. The only one's who weren't together were Atemu and Yugi, for obvious reasons and...He narrowed his eyes. Why weren't they together? Bakura had shown interest in him plenty of times...Hadn't he? And he had shown Bakura that he had liked him, so...Why hadn't they asked yet?
He was shy. Malik knew that answer. He was shy, although he didn't really seem like it, but that was truly it. Also, Bakura was cold to a lot of people, what if he made him mad if he asked him? Would he forgive him? Would he say yes?
"Don't you have somewhere to be?" Seto turned to Atemu, cringing as he heard another squeal.
"He's speaking informally!"
"Mana!"
"Okay, okay! Sorry!" She clapped her hands, giddy with happiness. "I just..I'm so happy for you!" She giggled. "Now you can stop being a bump on the log all the time."
Seto sent a harsh glare at her, not knowing whether to lecture her or just shoo her out the door. Atemu smiled sadly, nodding at him.
"Yes." Atemu looked down at his clothing, adjusting the tie on his uniform. He pulled back the sleeve on his wrist and looked at his watch. "I have to go to practice."
He walked past his friends, only for his arm to be grabbed by his adviser with a questioning gaze in his eye; "You are practicing act three, correct?" Atemu looked back at him, his eyes closing before he smiled and reopening them.
"I asked the director if we could skip the kissing scene in the act today and tomorrow..." Seto looked at him, his eyes widened as he removed his hand from his arm. "Apparently I was not the only one to ask, so she agreed."
The prince waved at his group of friends, leaving in a quick walk as his friends stared at his back.
"Do you think it's working at all?" Malik asked, stepping close to Seto. The adviser let out a breath of air.
"We just need to wait." He looked over his friends with a soft, rare smile. "It is only a matter of time until something happens."
Malik looked down, letting out a gasp as he felt a warmth on his shoulder. He turned his head, Mana smiling at him before she winked playfully.
"Don't worry." Mana said. "They'll be together sooner or later." Malik nodded at this, confident in it as well.
Out of all of them, those two had the most tension built up, what else could that mean but extreme affection? Either one of them were going to break soon or both of them were going to. He wouldn't be surprised if both of them ended up confessing at the same time, although...Didn't Atemu already confess? Or did he not do it formally? He rose a hand to his chin in thought, did getting down on your knees and pulling a weird stunt over a week ago count as a confession? Or...
He felt Mana pull him closer, a smirk taking it's place on her face as she gazed over her childhood friend's face. Oh no...
"So..." Mana sung out. "Any news on you and you know who?" She giggled with glee as Malik's face burned and he suddenly backed away from her in a panic.
"W-What?" Malik gasped out, he could feel his heart ramming against his chest. He heard a 'hmm' from Seto.
"Should you really be asking him about Bakura right now?" Seto crossed his arms, earning a confused look from Mana as she turned to stare at him with fast blinking eyes. What did he mean?
"Huh?" Mana spoke.
"If I can recall," Seto looked at his watch. "I believe Anzu should be at breakfast by now, and since Yugi is at practice." He rose a finger. "Joey's resting," another finger "and Bakura mentioned the other day after leaving the theater that he had something to do today..." He narrowed his eyes at her. "Do you not have the knowledge that Anzu is probably sitting alone?"
Mana's eyes widened. Oh! She forgot about that! How could she forget that her girlfriend could be sitting all alone at the table. She hated being alone, so she could only imagine how Anzu must be feeling. She cursed at herself, calling herself a horrible girlfriend as she quickly ran out of the royal dorm in a sprint.
Malik watched, his expression both surprise and amusement. He glanced at Seto, letting out a cough and placing his hands behind his back.
"Uh..." Malik bit the inside of his cheek. "Thanks."
Seto shrugged at the thank you. "It is no trouble." He took a couple steps to the doors. "I have a meeting with Joey today, so where will you be?"
Malik had to hold back a small chuckle. Of course...He looked down at the floor once again, kicking his foot forward as he thought. What could he do? Bakura said he was doing something today, huh? What was he doing? Could he help? No, he would ask him. No, he wouldn't. Bakura usually wouldn't ask for things, would he? Malik shook his head, debating on something. Maybe during his last class, he wouldn't be doing anything? He really did want to see him, so...
Malik lifted his eyes back to Seto; "I'll probably stay in here until third period, then..." He trailed off, knowing his sentence would be finished for him in the other's mind.
Seto nodded in response, waving as he left Malik alone in the large dorm. The dust colored blonde looked around, suddenly overwhelmed by all the space by himself. He always had someone there with him. He thought for a moment. What kind of classes did Bakura have? Demonology was his third period...
Maybe the library had books on demons...
()()()()()()()()()()()()
Great, this is just great! Bakura thought, standing in front of his desk in his demonology class. He peered down at the candle resting on it next to his book and paper. The book, containing all of the details on the demon he was supposed to present and the paper holding the designs he had and the main points he was supposed to discuss. The only problem was with the designs, but not the designs themselves.
The project had three parts that was required to be done; A typed paper, which he had turned in, a presentation, he had that complete and ready to be presented, and the final thing he had to have was a person who was willing to dress up for him as a demon! He glared down at the book, the candle light dancing as it watched him in his struggle.
What would he do?! Sure, this wasn't a test but it was still a giant grade in the book! He glanced around his classroom, noticing how students were dressed up in dark, ugly or strangely sexual clothing with makeup or blood on them to represent their demon. No one in this class really liked him though, they were all scared of him. He knew he could probably just force someone to do it, because of that fear but he just didn't want to. He wasn't that mean...He looked like he was though. He sighed, thinking for a moment.
He could wear the costume. But that'd be awkward, after all the design he held for the incubus was far too...revealing for his taste. He wouldn't be caught dead wearing that kind of thing. He looked to the door, noticing how some people were leading other students away to go to the Beauty and Fashion's classroom.
Bakura felt bad for the teacher of that subject for a moment, whenever a certain class had a presentation or anything to do with clothes or dressing up, that would be the first place they would go. Of course he had been there before, having another class need him to dress up but that was fine before and it ended fine, other than the fact he somehow made the teacher in the room mad at him, he forgot what it was that he did... This was different though. An incubus needed to be look charming, enough to seduce women to their call, manly but not too manly, sometimes girls didn't like too much muscle, and they needed-
Bakura's eyes went back to the door, noticing how a certain royal stepped in, moving slowly and looking to the teacher for an okay to be in there. The silver haired teen looked to Shadi, watching as the teacher nodded to the royal before they stepped completely in the classroom. Their eyes locking with Bakura's instantly, causing their cheeks to erupt in a cloud of red.
Bakura trailed his eyes over the royal, he had taken notice of his body plenty of times, but today he was looking to get a closer look. He took in every inch of him, looking at his beautiful face that bewitched even him, his hair that looked like it was begging for hands to be tangled in it, his body that was slim enough to hold in anyone's arms but stiff enough to be strong and catch even a woman's heart.
"Perfect." Bakura purred, not taking any thought into his words as he grabbed the paper on his desk and moved toward the royal he had grown so close to. He took hold of his hand in a steel grip, forcing an 'eep!' to be let out from the grabbed teen, he turned to his teacher.
"Excuse us. We'll be right back."
()()()()()()()()()()()()
"B-Bakura?!" Malik gasped out, his hand being gripped tightly as he was dragged down the halls of the school. What in Ra's name was going on?! He had only come to visit him and they were already going somewhere?!
Malik had finished reading books and, noticing the time, decided to go visit Bakura in his last class. He read about demons and thought that maybe if he needed help studying he would be able to help him. But he didn't expect it when he had walked in to be...basically checked out by the person he had grown attached to.
Bakura had trailed his eyes over his person like he was some kind of dinner ready to be eaten! What had he been thinking at that moment? Did he look good or something today? He didn't feel like he was any different...Did he make his hair different, or did he just wake up looking better?
Malik blushed, remembering what he had heard Bakura say; Perfect...He thought he was perfect? Was that how he saw him? Well...He remembered back to their date, Bakura did say that he looked like royalty. His eyes, amazing. His face, breathtaking. Hair, beautiful. And His voice...Malik could feel himself beginning to lose control of the pace of his heart.
He looked at the back of Bakura's head, his hair flying behind him as he ran. Malik's eyes became half lidded, thinking for a moment. Bakura...
Malik let out a gasp as the person dragging him suddenly stopped in front of large pair of doors, the color a dark royal purple. What was this place? Was this another class?
Bakura turned to him, smirking and gesturing toward the doors to follow him. Malik nodded back, watching as he pushed open one of the doors with a soft grunt. Inside looked like a woman's paradise! Mirrors, closets, places to do makeup...He was even more shocked by the fact there were so many people in here! And with that, they all looked really weird!
They all wore some weird kind of clothing, some had capes and suits with tails, some had horns, some had oddly colored animal costumes. One person was going for a half horse and human look. What was going on?!
Bakura tugged on Malik's hand, dragging him forward beside him; "Stay with me." He whispered, making the royal shiver slightly and nod. He looked around, searching for the woman who taught the classroom.
He looked past two students, one dressed in red imp garb and the other in a skimpy version of a witch dress, he had no idea what kind of demon they were trying to look like. Past the students stood a woman with ruffled orange hair and brown eyes. Bakura smiled widely, there she is!
He pushed past the other students, not bothering to apologize as he went to the teacher who was a good head shorter than he was. She looked to him, her eyes narrowed and eyebrows furrowed as she looked over him. She was dressed in a bright blue dress that flowed to the floor that day, on her wrists being golden bracelets.
"And what do you need, Mr. Shi?" She spoke, venom in her tone as she addressed him. Bakura had the urge to chuckle, how could he forget that she hated him? He thought she would be over the action he had done months ago, but she was stubborn he guessed.
"Ms. Himekoji, I need you to help me with something." She rolled her eyes at him as he presented her with the piece of paper. "I need you to make this outfit look good on..." He gestured to Malik. "Him."
Ms. Himekoji's eyes widened. A-Another royal?! She snatched the paper away from the horrid student, placing herself in front of the blond royal. Another royal wanted her to work on them?! It had been so long since the princess had been there, but this was one of the male royals! And they were always so scared to come to her class! She looked over his body, squinting her eyes as she began to think, she brought the paper to her eyes and blushed brightly as she saw the design. Oh my!
"This..." Ms. Himekoji breathed out. "This is... quite um..." She blinked at the paper, looking back and forth between it and Malik. Goodness, she had never received such a...fascinating dressing request. "M-May I ask...um..." She turned her body to Bakura as she placed a hand to her cheek and put her arm across her stomach, holding the paper. "W-Which demon is he representing?"
Malik tilted his head slightly, demon? Wait, what did she mean? He was doing what now?
Bakura smirked, making a turn over gesture with his finger to the paper. Ms. Himekoji looked taken back by the gesture, quickly doing as he motioned and became brighter. Oh! T-That's why!
"I-I see..." She smiled, her features showing her to look as if she were an innocent schoolgirl. She looked around. "I need two volunteers to help me with a person!" She called out, smiling as two students immediately came to her. She moved closer to them, whispering in their ears before they nodded and took off.
"Now." She turned to the royal and took his arm in-between both of hers. She felt a slight chill go down her spine before she took a slight glance at the scary student. He was giving her a glare, one that rivaled all of the ones she had ever seen from him and...She didn't know whether to be amused or not. He was actually...Well, she didn't ever think he would be that way.
"Please, come this way." Ms. Himekoji led Malik away from Bakura, taking him into one of the empty changing rooms with a sharp tug.
Malik allowed himself to be dragged, to give Bakura a questioning look, what was she doing? The silver haired male smiled, giving a thumbs up to him before he disappeared behind the changing room door.
To say Bakura waited a long time was an understatement. It had been over thirty minutes and he expected this to take, maybe, ten! What were they doing to Malik anyway? He was seated in one of the makeup centers' chairs, leaning forward and placing an elbow on one of his knees as he waited impatiently. What was taking so long?
He looked around to the other students there, most of them had left and probably were doing their presentations right now. He should have been one of the first, but no, he didn't have a volunteer...Speaking of that. He put a hand against his forehead, he should probably apologize to Malik after all of this was over...He had just grabbed him without thinking because he was panicking.
No, it wasn't the first time he ever grabbed him, but no. He should probably apologize for what he was making him do. He should have at least asked, not forced him into something. He sighed, removing his hand and crossing his arms. He thought for a moment, the clothing he had drawn on the incubus. He bit his lip, Malik would be wearing that...
Bakura felt his body reacting to that. Oh no. That was not okay. He quickly calmed himself down, trying to force his cheeks to go back to their pale color, his heart to return to normal speed, and lord to pray he better not be what he was thinking he did. He looked down to check, okay he wasn't. Good.
Ms. Himekoji stepped out of the changing room, her face a bright red and looking down. She moved her eyes to Bakura, noticing how he looked bored, oh well she didn't care. She and the other people with her had to make the royal look perfect. Even if the request was from the student she didn't like, she couldn't simply ruin his grade and make the person look horrible. And besides, the person was a royal and they looked...well...
"Mr. Shi?" She called out, making Bakura come to life and stand up quickly. Well, that was interesting. "He is..." She smiled shyly. "Well, he's finished and...he's." She fanned herself, feeling her face become hot.
Bakura felt his eye begin to twitch a little, he wanted to choke her for some reason. No, not some reason. He knew the reason plenty well. He crossed his arms and waited as the teacher opened the changing room door and gestured for Malik to come out.
Bakura's eyes widened the moment the royal stepped out. Oh my god...Malik had stepped out slowly, his hips slowly swaying as he walked toward him. On the royal's body was a fishnet crafted top with one shoulder cut open to show complete skin, his hands were covered in matching fishnet finger-less gloves, his lower body consisted of only tight fitting black shorts and matching boots. Malik's hair was more wild than usual, and on his head rested small horns and strapped on his lower back was a spiked tail.
"I..Uh..." This was not helping! Bakura thought to himself, bringing a hand to his lips and forcing his eyes to travel down Malik's body. Holy mother of- He turned away, not knowing how to feel at the moment. W-Was this even appropriate for school?! Could he walk around like that?! He turned to the teacher, finding her to be staring at Malik, her eyes darkened with a desire that he could place very well.
"Ms. Himekoji." Bakura hissed out, making the teacher quickly look to him in slight fear. "Give me a long jacket to place over him. Please." He narrowed his eyes, making her nod and run back into the changing room. He shook his head, walking over to Malik and noticing a small white bag in his hand.
Malik blushed, looking down at himself. He had never worn this type of clothing before! What kind of clothing was this? Was this really how demons dressed? And if this is what the guys wore, what did the girls wear? He held the white bag tighter, his palms becoming sweaty as he thought more about the attire of demons. He let out a soundless gasp, feeling warm skin against his bare shoulder. He moved his violet orbs to Bakura, he was touching his shoulder, that was it.
"Sorry." Bakura let out an airy chuckle. "It was a bit sudden, but it needed to happen." He moved his thumb over the revealing skin, what was he saying? The only thing he wasn't really revealing was his lower body and feet!
"T-This is embarrassing..." Malik turned his head to the side, knowing his face was lit with red. He felt his chin be forced to move.
"It'll be over soon." Bakura whispered. "I promise." Malik nodded, his heart skipping a beat before his interest placed a hand over the white bag and removed it from him. "I'll hold onto this, just relax."
Bakura reached inside the bag, noticing Malik's uniform and the paper he had handed to the teacher, he removed the paper not noticing how said teacher came out with a long black coat to cover the royal's body.
"Here you are." Ms. Himekoji smiled brightly, helping Malik into the coat and closing it in the front for him. She felt Bakura's glare stabbing her in the back of the head, she hated the kid, but this was kind of scary. She stopped, dusting her hands off and smiling, proud of her work. "Well, I believe you're good to go." She turned to Bakura, giving him a bitter smile and waving him off.
Bakura grabbed Malik's hand, taking it into his own and marched out of the room with jealously trying to stab its way into his heart once again. Don't get angry. Don't get angry, it's just a teacher being dumb. It's just a teacher-
"'Kura?" Said teen stopped, looking behind him at the royal, who simply smiled and squeezed his hand. "Why am I dressed in this?"
Bakura just smiled, tugging Malik forward and whispering;
"You'll see."

Although Bakura could have killed almost every person in that classroom, he was happy to say that the presentation was a success. He had walked in, just as a previous student had finished. He had asked Shadi to go next, who had given him a mischievous smile and let him. The next thing Bakura did was grab his book and gesture for Malik to go to the front of the classroom, talking about Incubi and Succubi, the history and the origin.
The big moment of truth was when Bakura had to talk about what they looked like. He had made a small movement to Malik to remove the coat, and although he had been reluctant, he removed it in a smooth, quick fashion. Soon, the students were focused solely on Malik, looking him up and down in either fascination or simple hunger. Whoever thought the later, Bakura had wanted to scream at, but Malik wasn't the only one they had stared at like that. For he had noticed that he wasn't the only one dressed in such revealing attire.
Quickly, so the royal didn't have to suffer, he talked over what the Incubi did and how the appearance would help them in their goal and such. After the presentation, his teacher had given him an impressed look. Bakura was confident to say that he had gotten a good score. However...
"'Kura, why did you drag me out of there?" Malik asked, sitting on a stone bench with a soda held in his hands as he looked up at Bakura.
Okay, so he had dragged him out of the classroom after he was done. But if he didn't, he would have started yelling like he had yelled at that gambler in the duel...And that was a hologram.
Bakura shrugged, still standing as he took a drink of his own soda. He had dragged Malik to the top of the academy, an area hidden from the front that was surrounded by a small fence which held a small lake in the center of it with flowers and benches spread around it. Next to the door at the side of the area, held two vending machines. He never came here often, but he knew about it well enough to know where it was when he needed it.
"Did you want to get stared at all day?" Bakura questioned, smirking as he looked back at the royal. Malik blinked, his face gaining an embarrassed blush as he shook his head. "Thought so."
Malik looked to him, noticing how the wind began to blow and cause Bakura's hair to flow behind him. His features shining as the sun moved upon his silver hair, causing it to glow as he stood there, his eyes scanning over the area in front of him. He looked so...Malik gulped, taking a sip of his soda.
"So." Bakura turned completely around, leaning against the fence set up around there. It was risky to do this, because of it being so small but nothing ever happened, so it was fine. If it wasn't safe to do this, Mr. Maximillion would most likely get on the intercom and yell at him anyway. "What was the reason you came to visit me?"
Malik's eyes widened, oh...right...He stared down at his soda, playing with the tag attached to the top of it; "I...was just...visiting and all..." Bakura rose an eyebrow. "I wanted to see if I could help you study..."
Bakura let out a laugh; "Help me study?" He walked over to Malik, taking a seat beside him. "You don't know anything about demons though."
Malik pouted at this remark. "I do too!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah!"
"What do Succubi and Incubi often masquerade as to fool their prey easier?"
"Uh..."
"Well?"
"Uh..."
Bakura snickered "You weren't even paying attention to the presentation I made, I mentioned that fact." He took a drink of his soda. "It was Of their deceased spouse if you were wondering."
Malik looked away, grumbling with the pout still on his face; "I couldn't pay attention, I was too embarrassed by all the attention people were giving me...I was creeped out." He heard a scoff at this.
"Do you really think I'd let anything happen to you?" Bakura chuckled. "I told you; Don't let anyone touch you." He thought for a moment, if someone did touch him...
Malik looked back to him, his face reddening as he said something he didn't have time to take back; "What about you?"
"What about me?" Bakura narrowed his eyes at this.
"You said not to let anyone touch me." Malik spoke slowly, the atmosphere suddenly changing between the two. "What about you?"
Bakura felt time stop. What about me?...He did say not to let anyone else touch Malik, but that was because well...He felt his own body start to heat up. He stood up, walking back to the fence with Malik's eyes glued to the back of his head.
"You can let me touch you." Bakura spoke, knowing the words he had just said sounded wrong, but what else could he have said? "I'm okay."
"Why only you?" Malik tested the waters, remembering what Mana had started to ask him; How were him and Bakura? Where did they stand?
Bakura bit his bottom lip, not knowing where this was going. "Because, would you want some other person touching you?"
Malik stood up, going to the other's side and shaking his head in reponse.
"No, I wouldn't." Malik gulped. "Because, I like you."
Bakura jerked his head toward the royal, what did he say? He knew that Malik liked him, but he actually said it out loud? What? Why...He stared at the royal, noticing how the coat began to move with the breeze, his hair mixing well with the dark color and framing his face perfectly. His eyes shined bright, filled with curiosity and affection, his cheeks flared red, his lips were closed tight, as if scared of what he might say next.
Bakura opened his mouth, only to be interrupted; "What about you, 'Kura?" He blinked, processing the royal's next words slowly. "Do you like me?"
Malik, Bakura thought, he felt his head spinning. This hadn't happened before...He knew Malik liked him, he liked him from pretty much day one for Christ's sake. But to actually hear it was so odd. No one had ever confessed to him before, he didn't know how to respond to this. His feelings toward Malik...He knew what they were, but...
"I..." Bakura sighed, shaking his head at his thoughts. "Yes. Yes, I do." He breathed out, looking away. "Are you happy?"
Malik's eyes widened, he likes me. He began to smile, he really likes me! He always got the hints, but at the start he didn't show any affection at all, so he was still unsure, but now he understood. 'Kura did like him!
"But..." Bakura pinched the bridge of his nose. "If you're going to ask me out, I can't say yes but I can't say no."
Okay, that was confusing. Malik thought, blinking in shock. So, he can't say yes but he can't so no? What in Ra's name did that mean? Did that mean he was unsure if he completely liked him? Or was it just that he didn't want to hurt his feelings.
"You look confused." Bakura looked at the royal, sighing and running his free hand through his hair. Malik looked at him, small tears beginning to form in his eyes.
"I don't understand..." Malik whispered, why couldn't they be together? "Do you not like me that much?" Bakura's eyes widened, he had just said he liked him!
"No, that's not it." Bakura groaned, watching as the blond began to cry softly. Oh no you don't. What did people do when the person they liked was crying? Uh...
"Then what's the problem?" Malik rose his voice. "Is it because I'm leaving soon?!" He began to shake, feeling the tears roll down his face. "Is it because I'm a royal? Is it-"
He felt Bakura grab him around his waist with one arm, pulling him closer before rough lips were forced against his own. What? His eyes widened, his body going numb as he dropped his soda on the ground and let his arms fall to his sides. Was 'Kura kissing him?
Malik's lips were smooth, the feel of them resting gently on Bakura's own as he pressed against the other with all of his strength. He couldn't see him cry, he didn't want to see that. He felt Malik relax, moving his hands up to his shoulders and begin to react.
Bakura was being so gentle, He moved against his lips as his eyes finally closed, never wanting to leave this feeling. His lips were rough, and slightly chapped but it was okay. It reminded him of Bakura, this was Bakura. This was what he was, rough around the outside but so gentle to him. He sighed into the kiss, pressing against him.
Malik had moved closer to him? Bakura dropped his own soda, wrapping his other arm around him and tasting the other on his lips. Smooth, warm, that's all he could truly tell from this. But it sent a shiver down his spine and caused his heart to pound even faster. He pressed their bodies together, Malik's heart was pounding too. Could he feel his too? Could he tell that he truly liked him?
Bakura's shaking a little, Malik noticed, his hands resting gently on his shoulders. Why is he shaking? Was he worried? About what? He smiled into the kiss, trying to get him to calm down. It was okay.
"Malik." Bakura breathed out, finally backing away from the shocking kiss. "I like you, the only reason I can't go out with you is because I'm worried." He pressed his forehead against the tanned one in front of him. "I promise I'll be with you, just let me think for a bit."
Malik let out chopped breaths, barely able to think as he thought of the kiss. It had sent his heart on a roller coaster and his belly into doing cartwheels. He looked into the eyes of the one in front of him. Violet meeting chocolate, he thought for a moment before he smiled. It was funny, somehow. Bakura mentioned dating, but Malik had never even mentioned it in the first place. So that meant...
"Okay, 'Kura."
:I am rusty beyond compare...But who cares, I did this. This was actually what was supposed to happen 10 months ago. Yes, I intended to make this chapter have a kiss scene. Yes, it was intended to be somewhat sad. Not everything can be perfect...kinda. But anyway. I'll be updating once a week due to this fanfic being so large. I love you all, thank you for waiting for so long. I hope you enjoy the next chapter that'll be coming next sunday!:
