Not sure if anyone is still reading- but finally getting around to editing this for the first time in literally years. If you're still following let me know how you like where it's going! Thank you to those of you who left so many sweet comments over the years

The look on Niles' face when she announced that the coffee was for Maxwell was priceless. If CC had had a camera on her, she would have snapped a picture of it and framed it on her wall. She leaned her hip against the door, letting her hair fall slightly in front of her face and smiled. It was so rare she smiled and it was normally with him. But this time it was out of pure joy for how she had gotten him. He was always coming out on top with their jokes and pranks, but this time she had won.

CC left the kitchen, feeling a reeling sense of accomplishment. It was dumb, really, how winning little dumb fights with the butler would get her so damn excited. As much as she knew this shouldn't be the most important part of her day, she was totally okay with it being such a huge part of her life. After years, she couldn't deny that Niles was one of the only consistent men in her life and probably the only person aside from Maxwell that she could call a true friend. Sure, she knew a lot of people, but they were all as fake as she could be.

Looking down at the mug in her hand, she rolled her eyes. The coffee hadn't really been for Maxwell, but she knew saying that was the only way she could have won their little battle. She snuck across the living room to the bathroom and dumped the coffee into the sink. Not having her caffeine was worth the victory.
