Hey everybody,
here's a new chapter just for you! Hope you like it!
Happy Easter! Are you all going on an Easter Egg Hunt, cause I sure am! :)
As promised, this chapter is interesting!
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Once upon a Time, just the crazy ideas in my head that I incorporated into this story!
Chapter 43
Felix's POV:
I couldn't hear the pipes.
I guess I just never really noticed until I saw Henry dancing to the music Pan was playing. In all the time I had been here I had never heard his music. I could before I came to Neverland, but now…why couldn't I hear his tune?
It was clear to everyone that Pan was fond of his Lost Ones; he was very protective of them and enjoyed playing games with each and every one. He was able to relate to the Boys, he was just as abandoned and lost as they were. Even I loved Pan; in a brotherly way.
Did Pan love me too? I was after all his second-in command, his right-hand, his most loyal Lost One. I, a scrawny unloved boy, had been the first he had saved, our bond was the strongest. Had it blossomed to a love siblings shared?
Sure, I would sacrifice my life for the person who had taken me in, helped me, rescued me from loneliness; I was certain Pan would do the same. So was me not hearing the flutes a profession of our friendship? That because of him…I was no longer lost?
I remembered that Pan had given me another mission; to lock Baelfire up in a cage and bring him to the Echo Caves. With a silent nod to my leader, I made my way to where some Lost Ones were keeping Neal captive.
'You know what to do.' They shoved his unconscious form into the crate they had built of long bamboo sticks.
Just as we entered the Echo Caves, I swore I could hear a quiet sobbing. It had been a long time since I had set foot in this part of Neverland, so navigating through the labyrinth of stone walls and paths in the dark was difficult. Again, I heard the sobbing; louder this time. I was getting closer to it; it seemed to be leading me through the maze where there was no light.
We reached a clearing; and on a stone island, the unknown abyss separating it from us, was a bed. A torch already lit illuminated the person crying into the pillows, muffling the whimpers. A girl with golden hair.
Clumsily, the Lost Ones dropped the cage and made noise, making the crying person look up. A girl with viridian green eyes.
Take good care of your sister, never let her out of sight. She is important and as long as she loves you, everything will be fine.
Suddenly, all memories of my sister came back to me, as if some kind of force had been suppressing them all this time.
Aura.
She was alive, held captive while I ran around free. No wonder I couldn't hear Pan's music. Even after a century, even after I had forgotten my promise; my own sister, she still loved me.
Peter's POV:
'Not bad, but wouldn't it be more fun if you had real swords.' Commenting on the scene that had escalated right before my eyes, I was surprised by how quickly Henry had reacted.
'I've never used a real sword,' he replied breathless.
'This is Neverland, and you have the Heart of the Truest Believer. You can use whatever you want, you just need to believe, Henry.'
Holding the stick he had grabbed, I whispered into his ear. 'Just believe you are holding a real sword.' This, just like the simple dust, would prove of the magical powers his heart possessed.
'What are you waiting for? Go on!' I stepped back to watch Henry attack my Lost Boy with a newly gained enthusiasm.
'Because Neverland's magic runs on belief; all you have to do is just believe, and it will appear in the palm of your hand.' My stare rose back to her eye-level.
To prove what I said, I stretched out my hand, and the next second, a book materialized.
'You try.' I nodded encouragingly.
She scrunched up her eyes, deep in concentration, while she stretched out her hand like I had done. Her eyes widened when a plate of freshly-baked cookies appeared in her hand.
'Now think of something you really, really want.' I stood behind her and whispered huskily into her ear, gently moving her golden hair away and placing one hand on her waist.
I wanted her.
While the memory blurred my vision, I still spurred Henry to keep fighting; shouting words of encouragement. Only when his blade scratched Devin's cheek, blood pouring out of the wound, did Henry stop, seemingly come out of a trance, and started to apologize.
'Henry, do you know what the best thing about being a Lost Boy is? You never apologize.' I held up his hand triumphantly, since he had won this little sparring match.
And I saw a smile on his face. He truly would be a vicious Lost Boy, losing himself; detaching himself from his old life. I was slowly winning him over. My plan was going splendidly. Now it was time to visit and old friend.
I could feel Hook at Dead Man's Peak, about to throw a long rope made of vine to David Charming down below. Transporting myself with the magic I had left, I arrived just in time to interfere.
'Don't pull him up yet. I want to talk. Alone.'
Throwing the rope on the ground, he engaged. 'What do you want?'
'I came to offer you a deal. Come back and work for me, like the old days.'
'I don't miss the old days.'
I materialized right in front of him. 'What if I would offer something very hard to come by- passage off the island?'
'Still not interested.'
'What if I were to sweeten the deal? You can take someone with you- Emma.' Seeing his eyes widen at that name, I knew I had hit a soft spot in his otherwise empty heart.
'Emma wouldn't ever leave her son.' His face faltered.
'She did once before. And you could be there to pick up the pieces. We've known each other a very long time, Killian. We've done business before, and I think it's the perfect time to restart our relationship.' As I began to pace around, I knew Hook would never accept my deal, but I only needed to distract him so David could hear while he was climbing up.
'What if I'm not interested?'
'Of course you are! That's what I've always liked about you: you're good at surviving.' He seemed to be contemplating whether to work for me. Good, he had taken the bait.
'You'll be my employee. Do my dirty work. When the time comes, I'll let you know what to do. But first I need to see that you've taken my deal.'
'So my word right now wouldn't be good enough?' He challenged.
'Well, you know me: I like action. I'll know you've taken my deal when I see the Prince's dead body up on that peak.'
'Oh, you'll see that anyway. He's on his last legs thanks to Dreamshade.' I recalled one of my Boys attacking his wife, and he jumped in between; receiving a cut with the poison.
'I want to see you kill him before the poison does. I want to see your hook inside his body.' Saying this a little louder this time, I was sure the Prince was in ear-shot.
'What if I don't take your deal?'
'Remember the last time you didn't listen to me? Have a drink. It always helps you think.' I vanished.
By the end of the hour, David would be dead. There would definitely be a rift between Hook and Emma's group. They would slowly destroy themselves. And all the while, Henry would be trusting me more and more, forgetting his family.
I almost had walked in on a intimate moment between Emma and Hook. Blast that idiot kissing that woman with such a passion.
Then our lips met. For a second, she didn't do anything. Didn't move or even breathe, then slowly, she responded to the kiss, moving her lips with mine. The hand cupping her cheek wandered to the back of her head, my fingers weaving into her long hair.
Some kind of fire burned in my chest, a hunger of need had overtaken me.
We stood up, and I pushed her back against the wall.
The kiss, at first sweet and slow, quickly became more intense and heated as I started rubbing his body against hers.
I slowly pulled away, letting us take a much needed breath. Then I wrapped my hands around her wrists, taking them both tightly and holding them above her head.
Touching my lips, I longed to feel the golden haired girl's soft lips, her skin; her body flush against mine. A hunger only she could sate spread through my body like wildfire. I needed her. Wanted her.
After Emma had left, I present myself. 'You really should've taken my deal.'
'It looks like I don't need your help with Emma after all.' He grinned smugly, and I envied him in that moment. He had a woman in his life; he had managed to kiss her.
'Oh, you think that kiss actually meant something?' By mocking him, I tried to hide my jealousy.
'I do. I think she is finally starting to see me for the man I am.'
'What? A one-handed pirate with a drinking problem. I'm not grown-up, but I'm sure that's less than appealing.'
'A man of honor.'
'So tell me.' I knelt down. 'What would a man with honor do with a big, fat secret?'
'Well, that depends what that secret is.'
'Baelfire. Neal. Whatever name he goes by these days. The guy Emma loves. Henry's father.' Standing back up, I took a few steps back.
Hook arose immediately at the mention of the name. 'What about him? He's dead.'
'No, I'm afraid not. He's alive. That's not even the best part. He's in Neverland. Can you believe it? I'm sure Emma would love to know that Henry's father is still alive. But I'd hate for that to get in the way of your...budding romance. So I'll leave it up to you, to tell her.' The conflict in his puppy-dog eyes was pathetic.
'Let's see the kind of man you really are.' Leaving him standing, I made my way back to camp.
Some kind of fire burned in my chest, a hunger of need had overtaken me.
My vision started to get fuzzy; and I couldn't think clearly. All I knew was that I wanted that girl with the golden hair.
So...yeah...Felix and Aura are reunited! They both deserve a little bit of happiness!
Now, I am heading back home (which means 22-hour drive in a small car), so maybe there won't be a chapter update...maybe...
Reviews are always appreciated!
Love you all,
