Gibbs was still in shock over what had happened in the delivery room. He could not believe that he had just had two babies. Jane and him had gone in expecting one a baby girl but they had gotten two. The girl they were expecting and a surprise boy. Who would share the name of the son he had lost. He knew it was strange to name his Tony when Ziver had a son named Tony as well but they had different middle names. It would be confusing at times but he would get used to it and the kids would figure it out. He was so happy right now to have two beautiful babies. One would have been amazing enough but two was a spectacular gift. He was a little worried because baby Tony was having trouble breathing but the doctor said it was fairly common especially considering the twins were still a few days premature. All in all though both babies were very strong and very happy. The babies had been born fifteen minutes ago, Jane was sewed up, and being set up in a recovery room. She would spend the night and most of the next day in the hospital but she would be home by the next night. As long as both she and the babies were doing well. The doctors had warned that Tony may have to remain hospitalized longer than Jane and Francesca but he would be home before they knew it.
"Our little girl is so wonderful." Jane cooed.
"She is our little Francesca." Gibbs replied.
"Our little boy is amazing too. I can't wait to hold him." Jane replied.
"Me either" Gibbs replied.
"You know I am fine, Jethro." Jane stated.
"I hope so the doctors said you were." Gibbs replied.
"I mean I am fine and can be alone for a bit." Jane corrected.
"You kicking me out?" Gibbs asked.
"We promised that you would come get the kids once I was in recovery. As long as everything went well. I am sure they are starting to worry. It's been a while." Jane explained.
"Oh yeah! I forgot! I will go tell them right away!" Gibbs cried.
Robby looked at his watch for the millionth time. Jesse, Maddie, Sydney, Liz, and JL had gone to get lunch but he didn't want to leave. Just in case Gibbs came out with news. That had been twenty minutes ago. Of course he knew that having a baby took a while even with a C-Section and they had probably just taken Jane back when the others left but he was too on edge to eat. Especially now that so much time had passed. What if Gibbs wasn't coming because something went wrong? He remembered when he was in the seventh grade his friend Darnell's step-mom had a baby. Who tragically was stillborn after the cord wrapped around his neck during labor. He didn't want his baby sister to have the same fate. A few years before that in fourth grade. There was a girl in the other fourth grade class whose mom died giving birth to her little brother. He remembered seeing her come back to school in black pigtails with red eyes. Before she was really fun and beat most of the boys at dodge ball but when she got back to school. All she did was sit in the corner and twist her locket. She didn't come back for fifth grade the next year. Which Robby didn't think too much about. A lot of kids moved away over the summers or were shuffled around by redistricting. One day he had to stay late because his mom was pregnant with Sydney and had to go to a the doctor and make sure the baby was OK. He overheard Mr. Carter talk with one of the other fifth grade teachers about how her dad had become an alcoholic after her mom died and she and her little brother were now wards of the state and living in a foster home in Tacoma Park. He remembered it scared him badly because his mom was pregnant now and he didn't have a dad at all. So if his mom died too. He and his siblings would automatically become wards of the state. He hated Sydney for a long time but she was born five weeks later strong and healthy and Jane was just fine. Tired and she had to take it easy for a while but they were fine. What if his mom had died having this little sister? What if Gibbs became a drunk? He had already lost one wife and child. So it wouldn't be hard. Jesse already had two kids. So unless he wanted his siblings to be forced into foster care. It would be up to him to raise them. Finally the door to the Labor and Delivery hallway opened and Gibbs walked out. Just as Jesse and his younger siblings exited the elevator.
"Perfect timing!" Gibbs announced.
"See I told you guys!" Jesse called.
"How are they is everything OK?" Robby asked.
"Are they ready for visitors?" Maddie asked.
"Do I have a new little sister?" Sydney asked.
"What does she look like?" Liz asked.
"Do you still like me?" JL asked.
"Before I answer any of those questions there is something you need to know." Gibbs replied.
"What? What happened? Where is my mom?" Robby asked.
"Don't worry Robby, Jane is just fine." Gibbs assured.
"So it's the baby? What happened? Was it the cord?" Robby asked.
"No Robby, Jane and your little sister are just fine. It is good news. In the delivery room we got a little surprise." Gibbs explained.
"A puppy?" Sydney guessed.
"No Sydney. We are not getting a puppy at least not yet." Gibbs replied.
"Then what is it?" Sydney asked.
"There was another baby." Gibbs replied.
"What?!" The kids cried in unison.
"Jane had twins. Just like Liz and JL." Gibbs explained.
"Twins! Did I get two sisters?" Liz cried.
"No you got a sister and a brother." Gibbs explained.
"I have a baby brother?" JL asked.
"Yes you do but don't worry I still love you." Gibbs assured.
"What are their names?" Robby asked.
"Francesca Ann Gibbs and Anthony Donald Gibbs. Now would you like to come meet them?" Gibbs asked.
"Yes!" All five kids cried in unison.
