Chapter 52: House Warming and Quidditch.
The day after Harry moved in, it was time to try to out that new training room. By which it means Erza came over to train.
"Are you ready Harry?" asked Erza.
Harry nodded while Robin and Haruna watched to make sure Harry didn't get hurt (though since Robin was there Haruna just prepared new pictures for the year just in case).
Robin watched the two spar, and she smiled.
Harry was doing a lot better than she thought.
"He's doing a lot better." Said Haruna looking up from her drawings.
"He is." Said Robin, "I just hope it's enoguh…"
"Yeah, who really knows." said Haruna.
That was when Sirius entered the room. Her was surprised about how much skilled Harry showed.
"He's doing a lot better." Said Sirius,
"It has been almost a year since you last saw him train." Said Haruna.
"Yeah." Said Sirius.
He watched the two spar, impressed with them.
"S when did they start again?" asked Sirius.
"Last year after the incident with the Basilisk." Answered Robin, "Since we did all of the work he started to like he was useless."
"Oh, I see." Said Sirius, "Did she do most of the work with the Basilisk?"
"No, that was Mami's year." Said Haruna.
"Erza did helped out with the stone though." Said Robin.
Sirius nodded.
"I hope if Voldie shows up, Harry will be ready." Said Haruna.
"Did you just call him Voldie?" asked Sirius.
"She did." Said Robin with a smirk. Sirius felt like he should be more surprised, but at the same time he wasn't.
And soon enoguh it was time for party planning.
Of course Mami was in charge of making her cakes for the party, so she was helping with the planning.
"I'm a bit too old for party games." Said Harry.
"Oh I get it." Said Sirius with a smirk.
"He doesn't mean it like that." Said Mami.
"Oh come on." Said Sirius.
"Our parents will be there." Said Mami.
"Okay, you have a point." Said Sirius.
"So what do you want to eat?" asked Mami, "I mean we don't just need to have cake."
"Well I like treacle tarts." Said Harry.
"Of course." Said Mami.
And soon everything was read for the party to celebrate both house warming and Harry's birthday.
The usual people were there, along with Andromeda and her family.
It was a party with multiple cakes (one for Erza), various things to do.
No party games this time after it all Harry was turning 14 and he was more than technically a teen.
Although that didn't mean Sirius didn't try to have some teen games.
"No Sirius." Sighed Harry.
"Oh come on! There's plenty of cute girls here." Said Sirius.
Harry sighed at his godfather's antics.
"Oh come on Harry listen to him it will be fun." Said Haruna.
"See Mandy agrees!" said Sirius.
"Don't encourage him." sighed Harry.
Nearby Paul was talking to Remus.
"So do you need a job?" asked Paul.
"I do." Said Remus.
"If you want." Said Paul giving him a card, "There's always room at Brocklehurst Industries. I'll give you the sick days you need off."
"I'll think about it." Said Remus looking at the card.
Nearby Petunia was holding Daisy while talking to Samantha.
"I can't belie she's a witch!" said Samantha, "I mean considering your husband."
"Please I don't want to talk about Vernon right now." Sighed Petunia.
"Oh sorry… still ignoring her?" asked Samantha.
Petunia didn't answer.
"So… you been paying attention to the Quidditch World Cup?" asked Samantha.
Petunia gave her a look.
"Right… right… sorry." Sighed Samantha.
Nearby Ino was sighing.
"Hey Lily, what's wrong?" asked Hermione.
"I've been dragged to Quidditch games for the last few weeks." Said Ino.
"Oh…" said Hermoine.
"I'm going to be dragged to more, Haruna thinks it's funny." Sighed Ino.
"a/re you sure you don't like Quidditch?" asked Hermoine.
Ino gave her a look that said "Really?"
"Okay… never mind…" said Hermoine.
"I'm literally the only one who's not a Muggle who could care less about the Quidditch World Cup." Sighed Ino.
"I'm sure that's not true." Said Hermoine.
She was trying to wrack her brain.
"Mrs. Weasley isn't going with her family." Said Hermoine.
Ino tossed her another look.
"Never mind then." Sighed Hermoine.
Meanwhile Shampoo were talking with Nymphadora, Andromeda's daughter, but she hated her first name so they just called her Tonks.
"Wait you're Malfoy's cousin?" asked Shampoo.
"He's my first cousin." Said Tonks, "I've met him once or twice."
"He's a git." Said Shampoo.
"How can you stand being the same house as him?" asked Tonks.
"I rarely ever talk to him." sighed Shampoo.
"Outcast?" asked Tonks.
Shampoo nodded.
"Mom wished there was something like that back in her days." Said Tonks.
Shampoo nodded, relating that Andromeda was a Slytherin as well.
Soon enoguh it was time for cake and Harry to blow out the candles.
He looked are the fourteen candles on his cake and wondered what he should wish for.
After all he had a family and friends who cared about him.
Then he realized something, something happened every year.
He blew and is candles and wished "I wish nothing will happen this year." He thought.
In the realm of gods.
"Too bad!" yelled all of the gods at the same times.
Then someone threw a spoon at the screen they used to watch.
"Sorry…" said the god who threw it, "I just got the weirdest urge to threw the spoon."
The other just shrugged and ignored it knowing where he was coming from.
Back with Harry he blew out the candles and everyone had cake.
Afterwards, it was present time.
Harry got many things, such as some Quiddtch gear, some quiddtch team stuff a few books, the usual paining from Haruna (this time Harry riding a T-Rex).
"I was still in a Jurassic Park mood after some other drawings." Said Haruna with a shrug.
Also it wasn't just Harry who got presents, but Sirius as well. Mostly appliances.
"Nothing fun?" asked Sirius.
"Sirius, you're a grown man… whatever you constitute as "Fun" won't be approximate for a teenaged boy right now." Said Flora.
Sirius was about to say something but couldn't come up with a response.
"It could be." Said Felix.
His wife then slapped him in the back of the head.
"Don't encourage him." sighed Athena.
Overall the party went well.
And soon enoguh it was time to head to the Quidditch World Cup.
Athena and Molly both agreed to shop for the kids who weren't able to show for their own stuff this time around.
"All right! Are you ready to go to the Quiddtch World Cup Final?" asked Sirius.
"Oh yeah!" said Harry.
The two went to their meeting point, which was the Brocklehurst house just outside of London.
This was going to be the meeting place for a few of them.
They would meet the others at the World Cup.
The group there was Haruna, her parents, Ino, Felix, Robin, Erza and Jonathan.
"You guys ready to see Ireland trounce Bulgaria?" asked Sirius.
Felix and Jonathan cheered while Ino just said "Yay…" in the flattest tone possible.
"Oh come on Lily, it will be fun!" said Felix to his daughter.
"I'm going to try to find a way to skip out on Quiddtch this year." Sighed Lily.
"Oh come on your only saying that because we were at the England Transylvania game." Said Felix.
"Yes, that was a bad game, but I'm not into Quidditch." Sighed Ino.
Why what happened with that game?" asked Harry.
"Transylvania totally trounced England." Said Haruna.
"It was a really lopsided score." Said Robin.
Before they could get into it more. It was time to leave.
"All right you guys ready?" asked Samna holding onto an old shoe.
"Oh great, we're taking a Portkey." Muttered Ino remembering how they got to school that one year.
"Portkey?" asked Harry having only hearing vaguely about it before.
"It's a magical transportation." Said Sirius.
"It's not a very platen experience." Said Robin.
"Yeah, but we have to use this version." Sighed Samantha, "It's one of the rules for this thing."
"It leaves in a few minutes so we all have to have our hands on it." Said Felix.
All of them had their hands on the Portkey.
And soon enoguh it active and most of the kids landed in a pile on the ground.
While the adults all landed fairly gracefully.
Well Sirius didn't land that gracefully, after all he was rusty.
"Are you all right?" asked Felix.
"Eh…" groaned Sirius.
Nearby tow other groups arrived.
"Is everyone all right?" asked Arthur.
The kids recovered got up and headed to the campground rental. Paul being the only Muggle was the one who paid for the campgrounds.
They got to the campgrounds where everyone was setting up.
"So met Cedric's dad. How was it?" asked Ino who really wanted not to think about Quidditch.
"Well it was okay, nothing really talk about." Said Harry with a shrug.
"I wonder if you lost that game last year he would be bragging about his son's accomplishments." Said Haruna.
"Please don't talk about Quidditch." Said Ino.
"You know I think it would be a good idea to look around." Said Mami.
"It is the finals I'm sure there's plenty of interesting thing going around." Said Shampoo.
They explored the area around the campsite and found people from all over the world celebrating. After all it was the finals, even if it was just between Ireland and Bulgaria.
"So how many games have you been to already?" asked Harry to the girls.
"Too many…" answered Ino.
"We get it." Said Ron, "You're miserable!"
Hermoine would have argued with him but even she had to admit she was getting tired of Ino's response to everything.
"We've all been to a few games, usually the ones with the home team." Said Robin with a smile.
"Of course we watched that England Transylvania game." Said Haruna.
"That must have been painful." Said Ron.
"You know you weren't able to talk about it earlier." Said Harry.
"320 to 10." Said Robin.
"It was one to the worst games ever." Said Haruna.
"So what about the other teams?" asked Harry.
"Wales lost to Uganda and Scotland lost to Luxembourg." Said Erza.
Harry nodded, after all he was busy with other things then realized something.
"Wait why haven't' we talked about this during my training?" asked Harry.
"Do you want us to train here?" asked Erza.
"Nope I'm good." Sighed Harry earning another laugh from the others.
As they wandered around they ran into Seamus they talked to for a while.
They soon returned to the camp where they saw Percy's new boss with the other adults.
It was clear there was some tension between home and Sirius.
"What was that about?" asked Ino once he left.
"Oh he used to be head of the DMLE." Said Sirius.
"He was a shoe-in for Minister of Magic for years, but some skeletons in his closet showed up and he got stuck with a dead end job." Said Samantha.
They all looked at Samantha.
"It's true." Said Samantha.
"He one of the reasons why I was in prison." Muttered Sirius.
The kids quickly understood why that was important.
They all explored the tents that was set up, each one was especially it's own cabin, though the one belonging to Haruna's family was the biggest of course.
But Sirius and Arthur insisted on cooking food over the open fire and during it Harry was introduced properly to Charlie and Bill, AKA Ron's two oldest brothers were working out outsider of the country.
Bill looked like someone who was going to a rock concert while Charlie was more built like the twins and had scares on his arms.
They also talked about the stuff that was going on because of the people going to the World Cup.
"Turns out the people who run the campground had to be Oblivivated so many times." Sighed Paul, "I'm worried about them."
"Says the only Muggle around." Said Sirius.
"Hey I own one of the companies pondering the final game." Said Paul, "Of course I get special treatment."
"I really hope that when the game is over the parities won't attack them." Said Lyra.
"I hope not either." Sighed Arthur.
"So kids are you ready for tomorrow?" asked Sirius changing the subject.
"Remember I own the box so everything has been paid for, you can pick any souvenirs you want." Said Paul, "And of course food."
"are you sure that's a good idea?" asked Arthur.
"As I said everything's all paid for." Said Paul.
"What sort of souvenirs are there?" asked Ron.
"You just have to wait and see." Said Samantha with a wink.
And so the next day they went to the Brocklehurst industries private box, inside were all sorts of stuff to wear for either Ireland or Bulgaria. Along with plenty of Omnioculars.
They all looked around and noticed a nearby box not too far away.
"What's that box?" asked Harry.
"Oh that's the top box." Explained Samantha, "That's the official VIP box, usually it's the only one at this height, but this time around there are two our and this one."
"How did that happen?" asked Harry.
"The M Division paid a very pretty penny." Said Samantha with an evil smile.
Harry remembered that was question he shouldn't have asked Samantha.
So he went over to where friends were sitting to watch the game.
For soon the opening ceremonies would begin.
This would be one of the most existing games he would ever see.
And hopefully nothing could go wrong with the game.
Next Time: It's the Quidditch World Cup final! Who will win? Will Ino finally care about the game? Find out next time!
