Olivia frowned trying to button up her jeans, looking at her stomach in the mirror. It was finally Friday, and she was sick of wearing work slacks all week. She already knew that she had to buy new slacks for her pregnancy, but she didn't want to get new jeans. "Elliot, I'm getting fat." She whined before dropping onto the bed and grabbing the sweatpants she had been trying to avoid all week.
Elliot walked into the bedroom from making their dinner. He tried not to laugh as his girlfriend sat on their bed in a bra and unbuttoned jeans. "Liv, baby, you are not getting fat. You're pregnant. Your clothes weren't going to fit until the end of your pregnancy."
"Well, I want them to. These are my favorite jeans. Why can't the baby grow inside you? You are constantly eating and exercising." Olivia questioned before sitting up and putting a hand on her growing abdomen. She smiled lightly knowing their was a baby under her hand. She had waited so long, and now she was complaining about it. "Look at me. I'm not even a mother yet, and I'm complaining about my child."
"Hey, don't you go there. You are going to be a great mother, Liv." Elliot said walking up to her and crouching down between her legs, taking her hands into his. "It's normal for you to complain. You're body is changing faster than it ever has. Well, except when you were being created."
Olivia took a deep breath. "But, I haven't even had an example. My mother might have loved me, El, but she was a shit mother. I once asked her why she didn't have me aborted."
Elliot felt his heart break knowing that the love of his life didn't feel like she should've had life just because of the circumstances she couldn't control. That was just like her. It was her curse. Yet, he loved that curse. It made her a generous, giving person. But, when good things happened to her, she felt selfish. "She didn't abort you, because you were her little girl. You were the little girl that was going to come rushing into some brute of a man's life and change it forever. That little girl changed into the woman I love today. I will be here with every step of the way. You will be the best mother. I'm telling you that know; I'm promising you that right now. You will not let yourself be a bad mother. I know you."
"That little girl is having her own baby now." Olivia smiled lightly before leaning forward and pecking his lips. "And, she loves you too. But, she has a problem."
"What's that?" Elliot asked putting his hands on her thighs.
Olivia smirked and leaned forward, letting her lips skim over his again. "She wants chocolate."
Elliot frowned and stood up abruptly. "No, you're not having anything with caffeine."
"But, Elliot, you can't take away chocolate from a pregnant woman. I want it." Olivia complained following him out to their kitchen, watching as he continued to make their dinner. She hated when he made her eat healthy. Usually, it was a few meals here and there, but not for nine months straight. "This child will have takeout at some point. You might as well cave now."
"I'm not going to cave. Caffeine is a drug, and it will not be going into our baby while it is still growing." Elliot stated sternly before dishing up a plate and putting it in front of her. "Eat this."
Olivia looked down at the plate of green beans and fish. The smell made her nauseous. "I can't eat this. I will throw up." She placed it down on the counter. "I need something sweet."
"Well, we have bowls of fruit for dessert." Elliot pointed to the two small white bowls that probably couldn't hold a full scoop of ice cream.
"That's bullshit." Olivia said before opening the fridge and grabbing the bottle of chocolate syrup in the door. "I am carrying the next Stabler. I will eat what I want, when I want it."
Elliot closed the fridge door and reached for the bottle. "Give it here."
Olivia opened the bottle with her mouth, already tasting the chocolate left over from the last time she used it. She felt the tingling in the back of her mouth as her taste buds got used to the sweetness. "No, I want chocolate." She tipped it upside down to get some into her mouth, but Elliot stopped her.
Elliot grabbed the bottle from her, but didn't flip it quick enough. Getting chocolate up his shirt and splattering it onto his face. "Olivia, what the hell do you think you're doing?"
"I may be pregnant with your child, but I'm not going to listen to everything you say and just take it." Olivia argued back. She knew that he didn't want her to be unhealthy with their baby. He had read every pregnancy book forwards and back. He knew what all could go bad, even if you didn't do anything wrong in the first place. But, he was being unreasonable trying to protect her and the baby from something as simple as chocolate. If she could still be Captain of the 1-6, she could handle a little chocolate syrup every now and then.
"I'm trying to protect our baby." Elliot fought back, slamming his hand down on the counter.
Olivia rolled her eyes. "Elliot, pregnant women have chocolate all the time. If caffeine is so bad for me and the baby, why did the doctor let me have it at his office? C'mon, be reasonable."
Elliot's jaw flexed and relaxed every few seconds, trying not to blow up. "I just don't want our child to grow up with a sweet tooth, okay? I had enough of a problem with my other kids and getting them away from ice cream."
"You tried to take ice cream away from your kids." Olivia's eyebrows rose. "You do know that you'd lose an arm if you ever tried to do that to me?"
"Yes, I know that." Elliot chuckled, feeling the anger start to dissipate. She always knew how to wind him down.
Olivia stepped closer to him, smiling seeing the chocolate on the tip of his nose and along his neck. "So, can I have chocolate now?"
Elliot frowned. "No, you cannot."
"Too bad." Olivia smirked before leaning down and licking the chocolate off his neck, making her way up his jaw line. She licked her lips before collecting the chocolate off of his nose. All he did was stare at her. His bright blue eyes were getting darker, almost navy in color. His pupils were visibly dilating as she stared up at him. His chest was rising and falling faster than before, making his shirt brush against her naked stomach. His breath was hitting her chest as it exited his nose. "I will have what I want, when I want it, like I said earlier." She grabbed the bottle from his hand, noticing that he was now stiff as stone. The only thing that seemed to be moving was the vein in his forehead that was starting to show the blue blood through the skin. She pressed the nozzle to his neck, squeezing the bottle until chocolate started to run down his neck and towards his chest. "So," she started before stopping the steady stream from disappearing under his shirt, "are you just going to stand there?"
