See? Another chapter, like I said.

So, did anyone expect Myde and Lumaria to show up here? If you didn't, brownie points to you. ;)

That being said, I absolutely DO intend to get Mickey in here. But I must ask everyone to be patient with me on it until I can make an opportune chappie to let you guys he's on his way, okay?

I own nothing of Kingdom Hearts except my OCs.

Read, review, but no flames.

Video Surveillance: Hall to Study/Infirmary – Record 089

Ansem opened the infirmary door wide and looked to his left, surprised to find a young teen man crouched in a fetal position and clutching his head like it hurts there. At first, he didn't have any idea who it was, but then he quickly recognized the mullet head and hipster fashion style (and who that meant).

"Is that you, Myde? Are you alright? What are you doing here?" he asked, still surprised.

Myde groaned a bit as he recovered before replying, "Yeah…I'm fine, I'm fine. I slipped by accident and hit my head on the floor. Ohhh…man, did that really hurt…Oh, uh, and you wanted to know what I was doing here? Well, I was just trying to look for the courtyard, but then I heard talking and thought I'd see what was up. It looked like you were busy, so I tried to leave quietly, but then I made a misstep and then…well, you know."

Ansem sighed at this. "Honestly, if anyone is prone to having unintentional accidents, it's always you."

"By the way, what exactly are you doing at the infirmary? Who were you talking to?" Myde had to ask out of curiosity.

"I was engaging in another interview with Luna. Why do you ask?"

That sparked a sense of familiarity in the mullet-head's mind. "Oh! Luna? Oh, yeah, I think I know who you're talking about! I met her back in the courtyard some time ago. Though she kinda scared the jeebers out of me when we first met, but she seemed rather cute…and dare I say, rather curious herself." He looked around a bit nervously before asking a question. "Uh…if it's not too much to ask, could I see her?"

Ansem thought about this for a moment, contemplating whether it would be alright to accept the invitation. Considering what happened when Xehanort intruded on Luna and subsequently sent her into a relapse of fear and grief, he didn't exactly favor the idea of allowing many others to visit (with a few notable exceptions); however, the way Myde vaguely described the first meeting he had with Luna when she slipped out of the infirmary convinced him that at least he was trustworthy enough to not scare her off or anything of that sort. Even so, it wouldn't hurt to have a little precaution, just in case.

"Perhaps you could…provided you behave yourself while you're in there," Ansem agreed, albeit with a hint of warning to not do anything stupid.

"Oh, sure, no problem," Myde replied excitedly, "I can do that."

Video Surveillance: Infirmary – Record 089

When the infirmary door opened wide once again, Luna looked over to find Ansem returning with another person following behind him. At first, she didn't have a clue who it is – until she recognized the mullet hairstyle and the outfit, helping her silently remember who's here to visit her.

"Sorry about that, Luna. You have a visitor," Ansem apologized politely, "A rather unexpected one, to say the least."

"Hi! I bet you didn't expect me to visit, did you?" Myde said with a friendly wave.

On Luna's part, she simply asked, "You're Myde…right? What are you doing?"

"Well…like I told the boss, I was just passing through until I stumbled across the infirmary and had an accident," the quirky teen replied awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head, "Meh, whatever. So, um…is this where you stay? Rather roomy, I'd say. But it could stand to be a tad less, uh…boring?"

Luna tilted her head with an amusingly puzzled face. "Less…boring? What do you mean?"

"What I meant was that the infirmary could've been a little homier, if you know what I'm talking about," Myde answered.

"Oh, I know where you're going with that," Ansem replied like he caught on what's up, "And I don't think you need a reminder that the infirmary is made for medical care, particularly for any patient."

"Are you doing okay with your friends?" Luna asked rather unexpectedly.

That was a question that nobody saw coming, especially Myde. But considering how she did meet the other residents of the castle and didn't even know what their background was, it wasn't too surprising that she would ask a question like that. In fact, that was where the mullet-head teen had to explain the situation before things got way too confusing.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly call them 'friends', per se. The only one I could stomach fine is that devious gentleman Rould," Myde answered as he took a seat next to Luna, "At least he doesn't force me into anything beyond my comfort zone. But Arlene…" He shuddered visibly. "…Oh, man, I hate that woman. She's always bossing me around like she's the one in charge, and anytime I try to have a couple hours to myself she'd always hunt me down so that she can do whatever the heck she wants with me."

"What about Lumaria?" Luna asked out of curiosity, "He seemed nice."

"Nice? Lumaria? Oh, please! He only acts like a friendly person so that he can get closer to you, nothing else," Myde said skeptically, "If you ask my opinion, he could very well be the big bad wolf trying to lure you in with a soft voice and charming demeanor until he got his way. But I know how that guy works, and I'm not going to fall for his charms. He can try and persuade me into anything he wants, but I'm not going to let myself be his puppet or anything like that. The same thing goes for you, Luna. Don't trust anything he says."

"Oh, do I feel wounded whenever you say such prickly words."

Everybody – including Luna and Ansem the Wise, shockingly – jolted and looked toward the door to find Lumaria leaning by the infirmary door, playing with a lotus flower cradled in his hand. However, he didn't seem fazed by the fact that everyone didn't see him coming, and simply entered the room without any confrontation.

"Honestly, Myde, why are you trying to sway a little girl into prejudice? The first time Rould and I met her, we only wanted to be friends with her, that's all," Lumaria said with fake hurt in his voice, "Or am I to assume that you didn't learn about how fragile of a patient she is? If that is so, then that was a rather bad move. You should be ashamed for speaking so brashly about everyone else in the castle."

Myde said nothing as he began sweating madly in fear.

"How did you guess he'd be here, Lumaria?" Ansem asked, still stunned at the unexpected arrival.

"It wasn't too hard. Myde has been infamous for scampering off to do something other than his designated job, so it's not surprising where he would turn up next," Lumaria replied nonchalantly, "Besides, I did spot him heading towards the hallway leading to where the study would be. And, added bonus, since the infirmary was settled near the study, it made narrowing down his whereabouts much easier." Then, he shifted his attention over to Luna, who was watching him with a surprised look on her face. "Ah, that explains why Myde went astray. Quite a twist of fate that we should meet again like this, isn't it, Luna?"

"…I don't know," she answered softly.

"No clear answer, then? Oh, well, not that it matters," Lumaria said as he set the lotus down on the table next to her, "Although, I will admit that it's quite thrilling to know how safely you've been kept here. It would quite amusing if we'd meet more often, but…knowing Master Ansem, he might not put that to consideration."

"I just don't want to take chances, Lumaria," Ansem explained, "She already had an incident that lasted for weeks, and need I tell you that it was one of my apprentices that caused her fear and grief. Why, I cannot say for certain, but I prefer not to have a repeat of those days for her health's sake."

For a moment, there seemed to be a silent standoff going on between Ansem and Lumaria, almost as though one is trying to slide his way into the group while the other is completely against it. Luna and Myde couldn't help but watch the two determine what each of them are thinking, all the while questioning of a feud is about to spark in a moment. But then, the pink-haired young man simply turned away and leaned down to Myde's seating level with a little something to say to him.

"Which reminds me, Myde: Arlene has been wondering where you ran off to since you were supposed to be helping her in the gardens," he whispered darkly, "Unless you want to be punished by her again, you'd better hurry down there to save your own life."

Instantly, upon hearing the frightening notion, Myde jumped out of his seat and began to skedaddle out the door in a hurry.

"Ehehe…Sorry, everyone, but I gotta go now!" he called out as he ran for his life, "See ya!"

While Ansem watched the door with a startled face, Lumaria took advantage of the distraction to take a seat next to a baffled Luna and stroke her head like he was petting a kitten.

"There now, Luna. There's no need to be confused," he said with an eerily sweet tone, "Some people just need to know when to not be careless."

"Did you have to scare Myde?" Luna asked.

She watched as Lumaria gave her a blank expression at first, but then gives her a dark smile that seemed to be hiding something that she couldn't comprehend.

"It's merely a necessity to keep him from causing unnecessary problems," he replied, "Just as Ansem keeps you in here for your safety, I simply try to support the other residents of the castle as they remain here. Everyone has their own form of authority. You just don't see it, at least not right now."

"Excuse me, but may I inquire if there are other places you have to be?" Ansem interrupted with an indication of suspicion.

Upon hearing that, Lumaria looked up at him with a darker gaze than normal before switching to an eerily calm face, standing up, and taking his leave from the infirmary; but not without having something to say before he departed.

"I see…You believe that I might attempt to intrude on Luna just as your apprentice did before, don't you?" Lumaria speculated as he gave off a chuckle. "I'll let you know one thing, Master Ansem: if you think we're the only people among you who have their eyes set on the sweet child, then you'd be surprised how many others would do anything to claim the prize. Who knows?"

With that, he left the infirmary and disappeared into the hall, leaving Ansem to contemplate his message and Luna to wonder what is going on.

"…Was Lumaria being angry?" Luna had to ask.

Ansem turned to her and sighed deeply. "Honestly…I don't know what that man is thinking, Luna. But I can only hope that he won't cause you any trouble like Xehanort did…Though, preferably, I'd rather have him not repeat that incident, not after what happened before."

Luna nodded in agreement, her eyes showing a trace of fear as Ansem's thought wandered elsewhere, trying to determine what to do.
