~Laura's P.O.V.~
The next morning, Jess and I were up early getting ready for 'school' while the boys got things ready in the car. As we walked outside, I noticed Dean had on a track suit from the school we were going to.
"Dean, are you the sub gym teacher?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah. Why?"
"I have that class last period."
"Same here." Jess announced.
"We have the same class!" I said excitedly. Jess and I held hands and gave an excited jump, something we do whenever we find something we have in common...so it happens a lot actually.
I saw Dean roll his eyes and throw our bags in the back of the impala. "Get in fangirls." He said as Sam came around the impala. We sat in the car and we were off to the school.
On the way to the school, Jess and I discovered that we had another class together, Study Skills. I was nervous about going back to high school. As we pulled into the parking lot, Jess and I looked around the campus grounds. There were teenagers everywhere. They were all in their own little groups that mashed into one giant group.
"I'm not sure about this. I hated high school the first time around." I stated, starting to shake with nervousness. Dean parked the car and turned to face me.
"You'll be fine. I'll be in the gym and Sam will be in room..."
"Room 216." Sam finished.
"216? That's the study skills room." Jess commented pointing to her schedule paper. Sam just smiled back at us.
"Oh, Sam is the sub in the study skills room today." I finally registered the information in my head. Jess and I got out of the car, but before we went off to the school I took off my ring and hid it away in a secret pocket that I had found in the impala. Dean looked at me weird after I got back out of the car. "I'm sixteen. I can't be engaged."
"Or engaged to a teacher for that matter." Dean kissed the top of my head when he knew that no one was looking. "Well, off you girls go to school." Jess and I walked off and I'm pretty sure we both felt the eyes of Sam and Dean following us all the way to the school.
~Jessica's P.O.V.~
I'll admit it being in high school again was hell. I looked at my schedule as I walked in the front doors. Laura's first class was Woodworking so she was off in the building across the street where the woodshop was. My first class however was unfortunately...Math!
For those of you that don't know me math is my worst enemy, I hate it with a passion! Which I guess makes sense because I'm an aspiring writer. My classroom number was 210, I found the corresponding hallway and walked into my classroom. My gut contracted when I walked in and every eye was on me. The teacher introduced me and I took my seat, without saying a word or even making eye contact with anyone. If there's one thing I learned in High School it's that if you make eye contact you are subjecting yourself to four years of torment.
When I sat down I pulled out my notebook. Pretending to focus on my notebook I quickly stole a glance at everyone around the room. No one looked suspicious so far. Looking away from my notebook I tried to concentrate on what the teacher was saying...or at least make it look like I was.
Not even five minutes had passed when the kid next to me whispers across her desk. "Hey, My name is Sally! Nice to meet you I'm the president of the student council here. if you need anything I can help you okay?"
I silently nodded and continued pretending to look busy. When the kid on my other side taps my shoulder. I suppress a sigh and turn to him. "Hey, where you from?" I'd seen plenty of this kids type. They always had on a sports jersey and a buzz cut. As if they were trying to relay their entire life history and future in front for everyone. These type of guys normally are involved in every single sport they can possibly be in, and if they don't get that athletes scholarship they wanted they go into the military only to be deported after they got out of boot camp.
"Alaska." I spoke sarcastically. I honestly had no patience for jocks. Apparently he was just as stupid as he looked because he believed me.
"Alaska! It's gotta be pretty warm for you down here then, huh?" I feigned a smile, if Laura had seen my face she would have known I was giving him the 'No shit Sherlock!' face. I figured he was done talking to me after this and turned back to the black board. If I thought I was going to get through this class in peace I was wrong. Two minutes later and there's a tap on my back from behind. I sighed, This is going to be a long day…
Two more periods of torture and I was finally able to go to study skills. I was excited for this class, if not for a break from everyone else but for a chance to see Sam again. I walked into room 216 and not only was Sam there but Laura was to. There were at the back where Sam's desk was, Laura turned when she noticed Sam perk up when he saw me. Laura saw me and shouted across the room to me. "J-Adamina!" She spoke remembering our aliases.
"Raven!" I said with equal enthusiasm. We ran across the room to each other and hugged each other to death. When we finally pulled apart it was Laura who spoke first.
"How's high school?"
I sighed inwardly letting it show just how much I hated being sixteen again. "Not over yet."
"It's okay, I'm here now." She said and we both laughed. We walked over to Sam who greeted us student to teacher.
"Adamina Delray, right?" He said giving me a wink and writing present next to my name on the attendance sheet.
"That's me." I smiled back. When Sam looked back at us it was with all seriousness.
"So, have you guys found anything out of the ordinary? Any suspects?"
"I noticed this one girl," Laura started, "She seemed pretty jumpy at the lunch line, even dropped her lunch on some poor teacher."
I felt the blood rising to my cheeks, I sheepishly rose my hand and said, "That was me…"
Laura was simply trying to piece together what she'd seen to what she just heard when Sam spoke. "So we got jack squat on the vamps." We all sighed.
"Maybe Dean's got something." I suggested, Sam and Laura didn't have a chance to reply as a scream came from the hallway.
Sam was outside the door before Laura and I even moved our feet. When we finally did follow him we saw a crowd gathering around a young girl. Her brown hair was tussled like she'd just woke up. She lay on the ground shaking. Sam was questioning her. "What happened?" He started with.
The girl took rapid breaths as she spoke. "A boy with teeth… H-he attacked me. He-" The girl stopped and left everyone in the hall wondering if she was just crazy. Sam leaned in closer and prompted an answer. "He was a vampire…" She let those words hang in the air like mist. Allowing everyone to digest the meaning of what she described. A few of the kids started calling her crazy and jeering her, until the principal came. He helped the girl up and hurried her out of the crowd of students into his office. As she passed I noticed something irregular about her teeth...They were moving back into her gums. Vampire!
~Dean's P.O.V.~
Being the gym teacher was great. Making kids run a lap before picking up a game of good old-fashioned dodgeball put a smile on my face. It's now the last period of the day. Laura and Jess walked in a went straight to the locker rooms to change. A little while later they came out. Laura wore black shorts, a black tank top that had a skull on it, black sneakers, and she had her hair pulled back into a ponytail. Jess came out wearing black and white shorts, a black and blue tank top, black and purple sneakers, and she also had her hair pulled back into a ponytail.
All of the students ran laps around the court while I got the dodgeballs ready. Honestly, I had a hard time not staring at Laura while she ran. She was ahead of the whole group, Jess not far behind her. They were talking and laughing as they ran.
Before the game started I made Laura and Jessica team captains. Something in the way Jess and Laura looked at each other each of them squeezing the life out of a doge ball that made me nervous. They wouldn't do anything crazy and jeopardize our mission...I hope.
Never have I been so wrong! After the teams were made, the girls each took their teams to one side of the gym and I'm guessing made little tactical plans on how to go against the opposing team. My gut feeling was right. I blew the whistle and it was like watching imminent death rain down. I couldn't tell who threw a ball first but all of them hit their mark causing casualties not even two seconds into the game.
The hunger games kept playing out in a school gym until towards the end of class, both teams were out with the exception of Laura and Jess. They were going against each other. This can't end well. I hear the door open and notice Sam walk in. He walks over to me and tells me about the vampire that he saw in the halls during fourth period. His eyes had seemed to wander to the girls and he quickly turned me around and showed me what was happening. They were standing in the middle of the gym face-to-face. They both had a ball in each hand. I ran and got between them.
"Enough. This game is over." I stated.
"Move. This game will be over when I win." Laura said getting my complete attention. Her eyes never left Jess's. "If you don't move, I will move you."
"Laura, stop." I whispered to her trying to take one of the balls from her hands. That was a mistake. Next thing I knew, I was up against the far wall with a dodgeball against my stomach. I yelled to Sam to get the other kids out of the gym. "Laura! Jess! You need to stop this!" I stood a little wobbly from hitting the wall so hard.
My words meant nothing as the girls continued to peg each other with dodgeballs each one just barely missing with the help of some Matrix like footwork. Sam came back in he immediately stood in front of Jess. "Sam!" I shouted, but he didn't hear me.
"Jess stop! You're going to bring down the whole gym!"
"I can't stop now! I finally have the power to win! This will end when one of us is defeated!" Jess shouted waving her hand and forcing Sam out of the way. She held up a finger and faced Laura. "We fight for our honor, Abraxas! Show me all your power or die trying!"
"It's all or nothing, you holy bitch!" Laura shouted back equally enthusiastic.
I grabbed Sam's arm as he was right next to me. "Dude, we gotta get out of here!"
Sam still had his eyes fixed on the fight scene as he said "Right! Let's go!" The last thing I saw as we ran out of there were flaming dodgeballs hitting every spot in the gym they could as Laura and Jess shoot each other with neck breaking speed.
Sam and I watched as the gym began to crumble. The windows shattered from the high-pitched screams coming from inside. Flames appeared a few seconds after, getting bigger from the oxygen outside the windows.
"What have you done?" Sam asked me.
"Hey, no one told me that dodgeball to them would mean a fight to the death." I retorted. The fire alarms sound throughout the school. Kids and teachers were all running out the doors. Sirens could be heard in the distance.
~Laura's P.O.V.~
The game continued until we both stopped, out of breath and looked around. My eyes widened at the destruction we caused.
"Well, shit." I sighed.
"What are we going to do?" Jess asked me with her back turned towards me. I saw the opportunity and took it, smiling to myself slyly.
"I don't know about the school, but…" I threw the last dodgeball in my hand and it hit her in the back. "I WIN!"
"That was so not fair!" She ran towards me only to be stopped by Sam picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder. I laughed at her. Next thing I know, I was being thrown over Dean's shoulder.
"Dean! Put me down!" I'm pretty sure he liked the view of my ass from the way I was facing. "You know, this isn't the least bit romantic."
"I'm just getting you and us out of here before you two try anything else." His voice was stern. I started to feel a little bit guilty about what happened.
We arrived back at the motel, but Mercedes was nowhere to be found. I brushed some dust from my clothes as I sat down on one of the beds with my legs crossed in front of me. Jess was told to sit in one of the kitchen chairs.
"What got into you two?" Sam started.
"You could have killed people!" Dean joined in. Jess and I just looked at exact other and smiled.
"Worth it!" We both said at the same time.
~Mercedes's P.O.V.~
I didn't like being left alone at the hotel but Sam was still upset about the witch incident. I tried to argue but once Sam has his mind on keeping someone safe he doesn't budge. When everyone left I just groaned and stuffed my face into a pillow on the bed.
After a while I quit sulking and took a shower. They always helped me think. As it put my clothes back on my gaze wanders to the pictures of the kids that went missing. Sam may try to keep me here but I can still try and help with the case! I walk out the door in my canine form making sure to lock it and close it before running off. I forgot all about why Sam wanted me to stay here as the breeze ruffled my fur where my collar used to be.
The picture of the missing kids played over and over in my head as I walked around this quiet town. I liked this town so far, there were lots of vendors giving out free samples of food and willing to take in a stray. Which most people thought I was but I always ran before they could put a collar on me. Man if only I'd found this place before I met up with Jess and Laura I would've been in heaven! My thoughts escape me as I catch the eye of a girl I recognized. It was one of the kids who went missing. She was kind of sulking around town with her hoodie up but nothing escapes the sight of a skinwalker. I begin following her down the street. We get two blocks before she notices her company. The girl turns around, not at all nonchalant. Which lead me to suggest she noticed my presence much earlier. Can she sense what I am? Most supernatural creatures can simply tell, but is she's a new vampire she may not be able to tell yet.
I followed her some two blocks before she turned around to face me. The way she turned around, most nonchalantly lead me to believe that she noticed presence sooner. "Hi puppy! You've been following me do you want some food?" The girl talked to me condescendingly. I wasn't going to take any of her bullcrap. She held out her hand which had a bit of bread in it. I turned my nose to the food and stared her straight in the eye baring my teeth.
I was right about her being a vamp, I saw her eyes change color. She smirked, the kind of smirk someone gives you when they think they've figured you out and intend to unfold their evil plan to get you either killed or trapped and left for dead. "Get out of here skinwalker, I have no business with you!" She snarled and turned around. I wasn't intimidating by her. I walked behind her like it was no ones business.
"You used to be a regular school girl. Let me guess some vamps captured you 'cause they were hungry and now you're one of them?"
"Don't pretend you know my life story!" She whipped around to face me and gnashed at me with her fangs. I didn't flinch.
"Oh I think my bunny slippers just ran for cover! Honestly who are you kidding!" I stood on all four paws to face her now, really trying to get my point across. "You may be a monster but that doesn't make you any less naïve. So just tell me where the vamp nest is and we can make those bastards pay."
The vamp wasn't very happy about my remark. I could almost see the wheels inside her head turning, Should I take this pitiful skinwalker on by myself, I'm not nearly as strong without the rest of the nest but oh I'd love to tear her a new one. I assume this was what was going on in her head and judging from her actions I was right. She turned around and ran using her vampire quickness to get a head start. You're not the only one who can ran fast! I bolted after just barely tracking her by her scent. I wasn't sure where she was going but I kept following her.
After a while I found out where she was going, the school loomed up ahead of me. As I studied the building it seemed like a part of the building was on fire. I ignored it and focused on my quarry, picking up my speed I followed her straight into the school.
The only thing I didn't count on was the teachers calling animal control. Within fifteen minutes they had me surrounded and though I tried my utmost to outrun them their tranquilizers caught up with me.
~Jess's P.O.V.~
Sam was not happy with Laura and I...to say the least. Who am I kidding the boys could hardly speak to us without yelling profanity. They were even less pleased when we found out Mercedes was gone.
"I TOLD HER TO STAY RIGHT HERE! AGH!" Sam yelled throwing his hands in the air and leaving the motel. No one stopped him, we figured he was going to get Mercedes back. Dean just sat on the corner of the table and fiercely stared at Laura and I who took our places on a bed. A few minutes passed and no one said anything. I didn't want to say anything to make Dean angrier. Laura however looked like she considered this all a game. She stared at Dean with a mischievous smile and gave him a wink. He threw his hands up in despair and left the room. I couldn't help but suppress a giggle.
Laura and I waited patiently, both silently discussing with each other the consequences of our actions. I give her a face that says...We're in a lot of trouble. She looked back like...Worth it! We both laugh and high-five. Dean was still in the other room probably trying to contain his anger. After a while Laura got bored and went to see if she could talk to him.
I waited patiently on the bed, from the other room I could hear Dean yelling at Laura about why the dodgeball game could cost us the case. I tried not to scoff at this. When you're an angel things like this seem so petty. I'm certain Laura felt this way too. I threw myself back on the bed arms outspread. A few minutes later Laura and Dean got quiet, I was just about to see what was wrong when Sm came through the door his face suggested something was obviously wrong.
"I couldn't find Mercedes." He said holding up her collar.
"You mean she's just gone and without her collar?" Sam concurred what I said with a look. I was immediately on the offensive, I went to the room Laura and Dean were in to tell them she was missing. When I walked inside the room though I found them snogging like there was no tomorrow. I instantly cringed and protested. "You guys! Seriously?" Laura and Dean pulled away when they heard me, Laura blushed and smiled, Dean sort of acted like nothing had happened and looked at me all serious like. They both waited for me to talk so I wasted no time. "Right, so Sam couldn't find Mercedes."
"What do you mean he couldn't find Mercedes?" Laura asked.
"I mean she's gone and we don't know where!" Dem sighed and left the room to talk with Sam. Laura and I followed. Sam and Dean were discussing where she might have gone, Laura and I however knew exactly how to find her. We zapped everywhere in the town searching for Mercedes or a large black dog/wolf hybrid.
~Laura's P.O.V.~
Jess and I looked everywhere for Mercedes, but found no trace or trail. An idea finally hit as we made our way past the front of the dog pound.
"JESS! What if she left as Shilo? Maybe she got captured by someone." I exclaimed. We rushed into the dog pound and asked the person at the counter if they caught any dogs today.
"No dogs, but we did capture a wolf that must have escaped by the school about 2 hours ago."
"Where did you take it?" Jess asked calmly.
"Back to the zoo, where it belongs."
"Thank you for your time." I say to the person as Jess and I walk out. We walked around the corner of the building and zapped back to the motel room just as Sam and Dean were about to leave.
"We know where she is!" Jess shouted to them before they got to the car. They both turned towards us and walked back into the room.
"Where is she then?" Dean questioned us with a bit of edge in his voice.
"The zoo." I stated crossing my arms over my chest. Jess took Sam's hand and she zapped them somewhere, hopefully, the zoo. I just stood there looking at Dean. "Are you still mad at us?"
Dean sighed and ran a hand through his hair "You completely destroyed the gym, Laura. All over a stupid game of dodgeball. Do you know how much trouble we'll be in once they figure out it was you two. It's going to take a lot of bullshit lies to explain how two sixteen year old girls could destroy an entire gymnasium...using only dodgeballs!" He sat down on the edge of the bed, rubbing his forehead...Dean seems to do that a lot around me lately...I thought to myself.
"I'm sorry. We didn't think it would get that bad." I sat down next to him and hung my head. We sat in an awkward silence for what seemed like forever until I moved myself to where I was straddling his lap. I placed my arms around his torso and rested my head on his shoulder. "Please don't be mad." I whispered against the skin on his neck.
"I can't stay mad at you, babe." He whispered back, tenderly kissing my neck.
~Sam's P.O.V.~
My head spun in circles, my legs felt like jelly. "Don't do that again...please." I say to Jess, reaching out for her shoulder to steady myself. She held her hands up to help me, her fingertips just barely reached my chest.
"Sorry, babe. I'm so used to zapping everywhere." She smiled sheepishly at me, I smiled back and focussed on the task at hand.
"So let's go find Shilo."
We walked around the zoo until we found a map of the area. The wolf exhibit was across the park, Jess wanted to zap there but I insisted on walking. I'm certain humans weren't meant to be teleported, we aren't adapted to space/time travel yet. When we finally got to the wolf exhibit, we couldn't see Shilo anywhere.
"Let's take a look downstairs, there's a glass wall where you can get a closer look at the wolves." Jess suggested, I agreed and followed her downstairs. The downstairs exhibit looked even larger than it did from upstairs. The place was packed with families, each one straining to get a better look. Jess was too short and couldn't see over all the bodies. So I had an idea, I grabbed her by her waist and lifted her over my head to rest on my shoulders, ignoring her gasps of surprise. The ceiling was tall enough and this way we could both see over the packs of families.
Jessica was enjoying the view, I observed from her awes and wide eyes. Suddenly her hands hit the top of my head, her fingers wrapped around my forehead. With a determined face she pointed toward the glass enclosure enthusiastically exclaiming, "ONWARD ELEGANT MOOSE!"
I couldn't help but laugh, "What?" I questioned as I began to walk towards the spot she pointed to.
Jess laughed too, "Crowley told me about your moose scene." She laughed even harder.
"When did you talk to Crowley and how did that come up?"
"We're texting buddies." Jess said as calmly and nonchalantly as being texting buddies with the Vice President of hell can be. I told myself that the more I hear it, the more I'll get used to Jess and Laura's weirdness...then again I've told myself that before.
~Dean's P.O.V.~
I woke up next to Laura, who had the blankets tucked under her arms, covering her bare chest. I smiled when I noticed the way the light from the sun hit her skin, making her look like she had a faint glow. I slowly got out of bed and grabbed my clothes before walking into the bathroom to take a shower.
I stood under the running water, letting my mind wander. I was so deep in thought, I didn't hear the door open. I jumped slightly when I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist and another bare body press up against mine. I turned to see Laura standing there smiling at me.
"What were you thinking about?" She asked me as she rested her chin on my chest, looking up at me.
"You, actually, and me." I replied stroking her cheek with my hand.
"What about us?"
"What our lives would be like if we hadn't met or how our lives would be if we weren't hunters." I smiled at her.
"Like being a regular family? The apple pie life? That would be nice…. but that isn't going to happen. Not while there are creatures out there killing innocent people." I was a bit taken aback from her statement. She wants a normal life, but she can't have that with me. "Don't even think about that Dean Winchester. I would rather be here with you than safe with someone else. I love you. You are mine…. Forever." I leaned down and captured her lips with mine. We stood kissing under the running water, until we heard yelling from Sam and Jess.
"I love you, too, baby." I kissed her one last time before shutting off the water and stepping out. I helped Laura out and with the snap of her fingers we were both dried and clothed. We walked out of the bathroom together and saw Sam and Jess standing with Cas.
~Jess's P.O.V.~
When Laura and Dean walked out of the bathroom we all kind of looked at them weird. All except Cas, of course. Being an angel and all, he doesn't fully understand humans. All the better that I'm their leader now. I dismissed my thoughts for later and turned to Laura.
"We found Shilo!" I exclaim happily. Laura answered me back with equal joy.
"Finally! I was starting to get worried!"
"We need a plan to get her out of the wolf exhibit." Sam said blatantly and handed Laura a picture he took of Shilo in the wolf exhibit, hiding in the corner with her fur up and ears back. To say the least it's not the best looking picture Shilo has ever had. Laura looked at the picture sympathetically .
"She looks so scared!"
"All the better to get her out of there as soon as possible." Dean said as he looked at the picture. "Alright let's go get her." He exclaimed picking up his jacket and keys. Laura and I zapped to the zoo to talk with Mercedes about a plan. Most of the families were gone by the time we got there. So it was easy to walk up to the glass closest to where Mercedes was.
It was getting late and almost closing time, the last family filed out of the exhibit when we walked in. Mercedes was running from one corner to the other each time trying to stay out of sight of the other wolves who dangerously curious about her. Laura tapped on the glass. "M-cedes! Over here."
When Mercedes saw us her eyes grew big and grateful, she made a beeline for where we were standing. "Finally! I was waiting for you guys to find me! Get me the hell outta here!" Mercedes anxious voice filled our heads our heads.
I spoke to her calmly; "Calm down, we're going to get you out of there. Sam and Dean are coming with the impala." I turned to Laura, "You ready?" She nodded. We both knew the plan, we'd spoken to each other about it with just one look, celestial beings or not Laura and I are telepathic like that. I didn't know how much time it would take for the surveillance camera's to pick us up so I monitored it's rotation and held my fingers up counting down from three.
The last finger went down and together Laura and I zapped inside the exhibit and within a split second we were holding on to Mercedes as we zapped her inside the back seat of the impala. Sam and Dean visibly jumped when we were all suddenly in the back seat. Shilo's fur was standing straight up so that she looked like a small bear instead of a dog. Her ears were straight back and almost closed to the sides of her head.
"Son of a- I thought we were going to have a plan?" Dean yelled as he drove past the zoo.
"We did. Zap in and get Mercedes out." Laura said plainly.
"And what do you think the zoo keepers are going to think when they find out the wolf they just captured is missing?" Sam pointed out.
Laura pondered this for a moment, "Well as long as Shilo stays in her human form she won't be noticed." There was silence but I knew both Winchesters were stifling an aggravated sigh, you could almost see it in their face.
"We got Shilo back now, and she won't be noticed in her human form." I explained again pointing out the pros of our operation.
"Personally I think we should go back to the exhibit." Shilo transformed so suddenly no one noticed she was in her human form again until she spoke. Everyone was shocked and stared, waiting for her to explain.
"You looked terrified in that place! Why would you go back?" I asked.
"One of the wolves in that exhibit is such a pervert! I just want to strangle him and I almost ripped his throat out! The amount of times he tried to mount me is uncountable!"
"Okay!" Dean said quickly trying to change the subject. "Well something we didn't get to discuss with you after school is the case."
"Because someone had to go and destroy the gym!" Sam said angrily.
"You destroyed a gym?" Mercedes asked shocked at the statement.
"You should have been there we could have had a one vs one vs one battle! It would have been so much more intense!" Laura exclaimed excitedly as if the boys fury had completely slipped her mind.
"If she would have been there you two probably would have killed her! If you hadn't noticed Mercedes doesn't have the power to destroy both heaven and hell like you two might!" Yelled Dean. "Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary at the school?" He asked with no hint of the anger that filled the previous sentence.
"Actually I did notice something. The girl who was taken to the principal's after she claimed she was attacked by vamps, yeah she was one." As I said it Sam turned around in the passenger seat to face me.
"The brown haired one?"
"Yeah. I think she was in my first class too. Her name is Sally."
"That doesn't make any sense. I thought the teens were disappearing from vampire attacks, not committing them themselves?" Dean said quizzically.
"I don't know maybe they formed a nest together and every Halloween pick off the kids that annoy them." I suggested, Sam and Dean however looked like at me like I had two heads. "That's what I would have done in high school if I was a vamp."
"Forget that!" Laura started, "I would have formed a satanic cult who honored me as their lord and savior and if they refused I would have eaten them for breakfast!" There was a strange silence after what Laura said reached our ears and was processed into images of Laura standing bloody over dead bodies of aspiring college students with a circle of worshipers bowing to her. Laura and I shared a silent look then burst out laughing.
"Good to know our girlfriends are mentally sane." I heard Sam mumble through our laughter. "Then we need to look into this girl Sally. I'll pull her out of first period and see if she's with a nest or a family of vampires."
"Jesus, man. A family of vamps!"
"Nothing says thanksgiving dinner like blood and human flesh." Laura sort of sang.
