Prompt 49: 'Jar of Hearts' by Christina Perri
Terran thought he saw a girl who looked a lot like Benji, but it couldn't have been her. After all, Benji had died several months ago in his arms. But somehow he was drawn to the girl, and so followed her. Of course it wasn't her, though. And she said as much as he approached.
She had seen him with her sister from afar.
"Who do you think you are?!" she'd asked tearfully after he'd broken the news of her death to her. She slapped him hard, but he did nothing. "I've learned to live half alive, even after you've gone around leaving scars."
Then she left him standing the street.
An icy hand clenched around Terran's heart.
