A/N: This was written for a prompt I received on tumblr.
Alex Eames sat on the front steps of her apartment building as she watched the cab drive away with her Meg, her sister, and Nathan. She felt his presence behind her before he even spoke. She had promised to come right back up after seeing them off. "I was just about to come back up."
Bobby sat down next to her and nudged her with his shoulder. He spoke softly, "You know it's okay to cry."
She cut her eyes at him. Sometimes he knew her all too well, and today was no different. "It's not even like I don't see them all the time. Sometimes is just harder, you know?" She shifted and pushed her arm through his and laid her head on his shoulder.
He smiled sadly and kissed the top of her head. "Yeah. Maybe we can go visit them on Sunday. We were just going to be lazy and stay in bed and do lazy things all day..." he teased.
She felt her cheeks flush and cut her eyes up to him. "Bobby!" She shifted again and kissed his lips softly. "Why wait until Sunday?" She stood up and pulled him to his feet.
He towered over her as she stood one step below him. He chuckled softly. "Lead the way." He laughed again as she turned and lead him up the stairs and into the apartment building. This afternoon was definitely a good one.
