A/N: I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Sorry for the long, long delay. I promise I will finish this even if my muse takes a couple of years' holiday. I only have a few more things to wrap up, so I'm hopful. I'm sure you'll have to reread the story to even remember where I left off! I know I did. Twice! And I just re-watched the series. I was looking around for Carter, Abby and the kids, but they just weren't there :-D

Warning this starts off with a strong T. No beta and I haven't written for over a year. Sorry if it sucks!

After congratulations and hugs from everyone present, Will and Abby ducked into the outpost for a couple minutes of privacy while the others organized a hasty wedding reception of dinosaur eggs, fruits and wild berries.

Once the door closed, Will claimed her mouth for a kiss that left no doubt that the passion they felt before was still there. The feel of his lips expertly kissing and nuzzling the sensitive skin on her neck, collarbone and lips brought tears to her eyes. Will was holding her, touching her, kissing her and making all the heartbreak she endured the last month go away.

She had no idea how she ended up straddling Will's lap or how they came to be sitting on a bed; her body had a mind its own. It responded to Will like he was a musician and she his favorite instrument. Heat spread through Abigail's abdomen and a familiar ache started deep inside. She knew what would make the ache go away and Will was the only one to provide it. Her memories of their one night together came back, causing her to moan.

Will groaned and tore his mouth away.

"Don't stop?" Abigail whined. She tried to move, but Will's arms locked around her waist like iron bars to keep her still.

"Abby, you're killing me." Will's brown eyes were mostly black and his breathing erratic.

"Will, I… I missed kissing you so much. I died when I thought you were gone. It was only the baby that got me back." Her head sagged and she squeezed her eyes so tears didn't fall.

Will pulled her close and pressed kisses to her head. His hands slid up and down her back.

Abigail melted against him and every nerve in her body screamed for Will to touch her like he did before.

"Abby," Will pulled back again, pressing his forehead to hers. "There is nothing I want more than to make love to you. My wife, but…"

Abby finally came back to her senses. They were in a small examination room inside the outpost with all their friends outside…waiting for them. "But this isn't the time and this isn't the place. Sorry I got carried away." She offered a shy smile.

"Normally, I'd say you can get carried away whenever and whereever you want, sweetheart." Will's laughter echoed down the hall.

"Earlier Doctor Shannon said being pregnant can increase sex drive. I guess she's right."

"Argh! You really do want to kill me," Will wailed before he laughed again. "Once we get back to Terra Nova I promise to test that theory every day."

Abby laughed and kissed her husband again.

The campfire did little to warm Abby from the chilling conversation occurring around it. Taylor, Shannon, Will and others were discussing how to reclaim Terra Nova. Chris Raven just suggested that he return to Terra Nova to sabotage them from inside the compound.

"No," Will snapped. "You disappeared. Abby disappeared. No way they don't know it was you."

"If I returned with something they wanted…"

He didn't get to finish because Will shouted, "Never!"

"Will, I'd never suggest…"

"My wife doesn't go near those bastards except to spit on their corpses."

"I wasn't going to take Abby back," Chris clarified before he was beaten to a pulp by the new groom.

"Who then?" Abby asked, knowing her brother and Weaver had big plans for her.

"Taylor," Jim Shannon offered.

"That's not a bad idea," the Commander agreed.

"Yes, it is," Jim cautioned. "Lucas would kill you on sight."

"It would let the people know you're not dead, though," Abby added. "The colony is devastated because we believed you were all slaughtered. Hope is something they need." She shivered and Will pulled her closer- if that was possible as she was already seated between his legs pressed against his chest.

"I'm sorry," Will mumbled into her hair. "I will spend every day making it up to you."

Abby smiled and leaned further into her husband's embrace.

The conversation continued with Taylor and Raven trading ideas while Shannon, Will and Reynolds shot them down.

"You have to stop Malcolm from repairing the terminus," Jim said. "Once they contact the future, they'll call in reinforcements."

"But they'll come anyways and we won't know where they'll end up," Reynolds added.

"They won't come until they hear from Weaver or Porter," the Sheriff said. "But it's only a matter of time until they discover Malcolm has been stalling. They'll threaten to kill someone else and he'll have to fix it."

"Unless Abby killed them," Kathy added, raising her canteen of water as a toast.

"Porter was alive when we left him, but I don't know about Weaver," Raven added.

"Too bad," Kathy replied.

Abby looked at Kathy, seated between Raven and Maddy, with Elizabeth next to her daughter, and her mind drifted back to their last poker night. Kathy was coaching Maddy, while her mother was sneaking glances at her daughter's cards. Wash had to call out the doctor for cheating, which resulted in a round of drinks from Kathy to celebrate the downfall of the perfect Doctor Shannon. The drinks led to an inebriated Wash telling old war stories. She tried to remember the details of a story Wash told about being trapped by a superior enemy with no way out. "Will?"

"Yes."

"Were you with Wash on some island with a bridge that was the only way off and you ended up destroying the bridge to keep your enemy from overrunning you?"

"Yeah. Cu Lao Cham. Why?"

"What did you say?" Taylor asked. Silence descended in the clearing.

"Wash told a story at Poker night about being trapped with an enemy about to overrun you. There was a bridge that was the only way on or off the island…"

"And we blew it up," Will finished.

"Yes."

"Cu Lao Cham," Taylor repeated, getting to his feet. "Genius."

"Sir, if you're thinking what I think you're thinking, we'd be cut off forever," Will stated. "No supplies, no people, nothing."

"What are you talking about?" Jim Shannon asked.

"We blew up the bridge from the mainland at Cu Lao Cham," Taylor explained. "Isolating ourselves."

"But how does that apply to the portal," Elizabeth asked. "They already destroyed it."

"But they can still come through from Hope Plaza," Will explained.

"I wasn't advocating destroying our connection to 2149," Abby explained. "I thought you might remember some battle strategies or something like that." She twisted her head to look back and Will and then at Taylor, who was walking around the fire.

"That was the strategy," Taylor replied. "We cut ourselves off from any possible reinforcements."

"But you're all here so you obviously didn't destroy every way out," Abby stated. "If we cut ourselves off from 2149 we don't exactly have the technology to reconnect us at some point in the future. There'd be nothing for us to connect to." Fear began to take hold of her.

"Calm down, Abby," Will said, shifting slightly so he could place his hands on her shoulders. "We're just brainstorming. We wouldn't be able to blow up Hope Plaza."

"Yes, we would," Raven said.

"What?" several people said at the same time.

"The Pyrosonic."

"A thousand people are a good number to build a civilization from," Taylor spoke after a few minutes of silence. "We'd need Malcolm to repair the gate and sneak someone through to Hope Plaza."

"No," Abby said, sinking back against Will. "We…"

"It'll be okay." Will wrapped his arms tightly around her. "We know how to survive here. We have food, shelter, weapons, power. It's not like we were ever going back to 2149."

"I know, but…" Abby didn't know how to finish her thoughts. Will was right, but somehow knowing there would never be another pilgrimage terrified her."

"Sounds like a plan," Taylor said with a gleam in his eye.

"We just need to find someone crazy enough to go back," Will said. "And I swore off crazy when I married my wife."

Abby let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Will was heroic and selfless enough when it came to his duty that she expected him to volunteer.

"I'll go," Raven said. "I know the bomb."

"But you don't know Hope Plaza," Jim added. "I snuck in. I know my way around the back of it."

"No!" Elizabeth and Maddy gasped.

"And you can't go either," Kathy growled at Raven. "Phoenix'll never let you back without killing you." She jumped to her feet. "Not to mention I might kill you for suggesting something so stupid." The fire reflected off her hair, making it look like a flame burning around her head.

Abby could see that Raven was affected by her outburst. She felt for her friend who was obviously infatuated with him. But the more she thought of the plan, the more she felt Taylor and Raven were correct. The needed to cut themselves off because her brother and the others were evil. "They won't stop. Greed drives people to do terrible things." At her comments, everyone became quiet. "Kyle. Weaver. My father. Those mercenaries. All greedy men. They take advantage of everyone. They have no consciences. Only death will stop them."

"I served with them." Raven looked at Abby and over her head to Will, who held her tight. "Abby's right. They won't stop. The people paying back in 2149 promised everyone enough to buy their own domes. No one will stop fighting for that."

"So we shut them down," Taylor said. His announcement ended the conversation. "Everyone should get some rest. We have a lot to plan in the morning."

Kathy glared at Raven and stormed off.

"Go," Will said to his oldest friend. "Trust me. You'll regret it if you don't."

Raven nodded and followed after the angry nurse.

The Shannons left next, heading toward their tent with Reynolds trailing behind, leaving Will and Abby with Taylor.

"Sorry I didn't volunteer, sir," Will said. He stood up and reached down to help Abby.

"I wouldn't let you if you did," Taylor replied with a smile. "I'm glad Wash told you that story and that you remembered it. Wish my old mind thought of it."

"You're not old, sir," Will replied with a smile. "You're nicely aged, like a fine wine."

"If it wasn't your wedding night, I'd kick your ass, Sergeant."

Abby couldn't help but laugh as she slid an arm around her husband. "Jess and Jay are waiting in the tent, so it's not going to be a traditional wedding night."

"Are you giving Taylor permission to hurt me?" Will tried to look offended, but only made Abby laugh.

A/N: What do you think? Can I still write? Feel very rusty, so I do apologize if it's not what you are used to. Sorry to have Abby be the one to bring up Cu Lao Cham, but I needed someone to do it. Seriously, let me know if I should try to finish this.
