The Half- Chapter 51: Glimpse of the 29th

With a smirk upon his lips, Kyo found herself to be shoved into a small room. The dark magi giving a chuckle as he looked down at the half djinn, as she fell to her hands and knees from his shove. Black Rukh fluttered about him, as well as to follow after Kyo. Her arms had not reverted back, and remained in the darkness of the black Djinns that the magi would be able to have control over. The female looked up and back as her arms felt like pins and needles from not only the shove to the ground, but from the dark coloring that had consumed her arms.

"You know…" Judar said as he crouched down to meet closer to the half Djinn's level; his left hand coming to his chin as he narrowed his eyes on Kyo, who showed bitterness in her own. "Something about you seems off…hm…"

"I'm gonna kill you..!" She snapped as she grabbed at the Kou kingdom's magi. Her right hand grasping around his throat, but where fear should have been to take place, was replaced by that same twisted smirk.

"You have no power as long as you are to be absorbing black Rukh you know…." He chuckled again as more of her hair began to fade upward in black; Kyo's grasp instantly releasing as she could feel her body being slowly consumed. "The more anger you feel, the more you are giving in you know?" he laughed as he rubbed his neck and rose to his feet; once more to look down at the female. And with another chuckle, the dark magi made his way over to a large pillow that had been propped in the corner. Taking a seat upon it, and then to lay back in it as he reclined with his hands behind his head. "Now it's time for the more interesting part to start." He taunted, as Kouen stepped into the room, through the same door.

Kyo had shifted to sitting on her butt, with her legs behind her. A look of unhappiness was upon her face as her eyebrows slightly narrowed together as she looked up at the crown prince of Kou. In return, the Kou first born, looked down at her with a look of uncaring. No real emotion seemed to be running through his face or mind as he looked down to the female, and then looked back up as he made his way to his desk, and took a seat.

"Why the hell do you want me…?" Kyo final spoke, as she broke the silence of the room.

"…." Kouen said nothing as he pulled out a few papers from a small pile and began to look at them. A few scrolls to his left and right were to also cover his desk.

"Hey!" she yelled and slowly stood up, as she took in a deep slow breath. "I asked you a question you know? I don't care if you are Kou's first prince…!" She slammed a hand on his desk, across from him as she glared across the desktop at the male. "You can't just kidnap people!"

"You're annoying…" Kouen spoke, without even looking up.

"What!?" she growled. Her hands reached forward as she yanked at the hilt that strapped to his left hip. Within her grasp, the sword slipped from its hilt smoothly and came into her possession. Her weight thrown off as she stumbled back, holding onto what would be a Djinn vessel. But before she could even lose or catch her own balance, her free hand's wrist was grabbed firmly as Kouen finally looked up, and with a look of threat.

Again he said nothing as his eyes widened for a moment. Within the instant, like Sinbad had, a vision, no; a memory, passed through from Kyo into and into Kouen….

"I don't want to do this anymooorrreeee~!" A young looking Kyo whimpered, her hands holding onto a stick that had been shaped to look more like a practice sword. Kyo's long blue hair seemed to be a mess all around her, showing that she had been at some kind of training for quite a while.

"You must, princess. It's required that you should be good at hand to hand combat. If you don't then you will lose." The one to become the 29th Djinn, who stood before her, was Astaroth. His arms folded over his chest as he looked down at Kyo. The male Gorgon showed a stern look towards the young child who was to be known as "Kyo".

"But I'm tiiirrreeeddd….!" She whined, as her shoulders slouched forward and her head to hang forward in tiredness.

Astaroth sighed heavily, as his once tensed self, came to relax. "Fine…. We can take a break..." he shook his head as he then raised a hand to rub at the temple on the sides of his face.

"Hooray!" Kyo cheered as she seemed to have more energy than before. She threw her hand sup into the air, with the wooden made-shift sword. "Do we get to go play now?!" she beamed wonder filled eyes upward to her teacher.

"Fine, fine." He sighed again, as if he had given in to her, and had been defeated.

"Hooray again! She yelled, and dropped her sword to the ground as she took off in a different direction.

"Hey..! Wait, Princess…!" Astaroth called out as he noticed that the child had taken off running away from him.

Letting go of the present day Kyo, Kouen pulled his own hand back, as he looked to his palm. Kyo had seemed to catch her balance, as well as Judar's attention who had now sat up. It was all in a flash that the memory happened.

Kyo stumbled back a bit, as she still held onto Kouen's favorite sword. She blinked a few times, as if snapping back into reality, and then to shake her head a bit before looking up to Kouen.

"Who are you?" he questioned, with a serious manner in his tone.

"What happened?" Judar questioned, as he stood up and came to stand ion Kyo's side of the desk as he looked from the 1st prince to the half djinn.

Kouen looked at his palm again and then to Kyo, "Explain to me what that was just now..!" a hint of interest made indication that the Kou prince was capable of having some emotion rather than his blank like stare. "I need to know…! Who are you, and how are you to know of my Djinn? And even in a setting where you were younger…! You couldn't have possibly been in the dungeon..." he pulled back, looking down in thought as he brought his hand to his chin. "Hm…" his eyes looked back up to the female as though he were trying to search her for an answer. "You couldn't have been in the dungeon. That scene was outside." He put a fist out towards Kyo, in determination. "Tell me, female…!"

Kyo had begun to rub at the side of her head and stagger a bit in place, as she had been suddenly struck with a headache. Her hand that grasped the sword, slipped from her grasp as she collapsed to her knees, and then to her side. Her eyes blurring as she then blacked out. She wouldn't be able to respond to Kouen at the moment, but a new question came to be as the third eye upon her forehead appeared once more. Judar and Kouen's expression varied, but seemed to ask the same thing: "What's going on?"

As Kyo's two eyes remained closed, the third remained open.

"Hm... I see that she really must be half Djinn, it seems." Kouen stepped out from his desk and made his way to be looking down at the female. He knelt over as he picked up his sword and sheathed it back into place. A warm feeling seemed to be putting off from the blade.

To be continued….
