Perceptor studied the energon converter. "Well, we're going to need to wait a few cycles to see if this works. Why not take a break?"
Wheeljack nodded. "Sure, just give me a few kliks to clean up."
"Do you need any help?" asked Perceptor.
Wheeljack looked at the instruments he'd moved to the sink. "Nah, there's not very many. Besides, it gets kind of crowded if more than one bot tries to clean up." Wheeljack waved his servo. "You go on. I'll catch up in a few kliks."
"All right." Perceptor hugged Wheeljack and gave him a kiss. Wheeljack smiled and returned the kiss. "Don't take too long."
"I won't," promised Wheeljack.
Perceptor smiled and left the lab, most of the guards following after him. One guard stayed behind to keep an optic on Wheeljack.
Wheeljack made quick work of the equipment. He was almost done when he heard a light thump behind him. Wheeljack immediately turned, concerned that one of the experiments had fallen to the ground or some other problem.
Instead he saw a white face and red optics.
Wheeljack let out a surprised shriek as he recoiled, but the sink was right behind him, and there was nowhere to go. The mystery mech slapped a servo over Wheeljack's mouth.
Activate Security Protocols? Yes? No?
Yes!

Wheeljack finished just in time. The mech slammed Wheeljack's head into the counter. Wheeljack immediately lost consciousness.
