Hi everyone! Yep, a little bit of a weird time to have an update, but this is so I don't forget. Things are picking up a little bit in the story now.
School is ending so that means I have a lot to do to prepare for next year. Since I am taking a long vacation this summer, I'm not sure if I am able to update like I usually do, if I do get a chance at all.
This is just a heads-up in case it does happen. I'm sure most of you know how busy ending the school year is, especially if your'e graduating like I am. A lot needs to be done for college and I'm still working on some of it.
Anyways, here are the reviews!
.18: Um, I think you're jumping too far to a conclusion. I'm not sure where you got that idea from about Red and Ash, but I am starting to merge the anime and manga counterparts together, in terms of everyone else. You just have to wait to see what I choose with the Alola group, but for Mewtwo and Yellow, I'm sure i made a joke about the two before. As for her name, I only chose it since it was a shade of yellow-orange. I may overthink names sometimes, but not this time. Seriously, where are you getting these ideas from about Red adn Ash? I'ms ure I didn't put any hints or clues of something like that happening at all.
Well, that was an interesting review. Anyways, here is the disclaimer so we can get to the chapter!
Disclaimer: I don't own any part of Pokemon or anything I refer to. I only own my OCs like Scarlett and Mason.
Chapter Forty-Three
Yellow's POV
I walked out of the examination room into the waiting room to find most of my friends there. We were inside the academy's infirmary. As each of the masked figures was defeated, the others joined the rest of us in helping to take down the remaining ones. We all made it out with minor bruises and scratches. We had to go to the infirmary after getting escorted here by some of the teachers and got checked out by the Nurse Joys in here.
Everyone was exhausted. I could see that. Ash's gang was mixed in as we tried to cheer up one another. The ranger kids came in as soon as they could. They were busy getting all the family members on the boats to their homes when the attacks happened. We didn't need anyone getting hurt.
But we weren't that lucky. A few minutes after everyone was in the infirmary, Mason stormed in carrying Scarlett in his arms. Apparently, she fainted while on his motorcycle and fell off. When I first got a look at her, she was in terrible shape. There was a burn on her hand and several deep cuts on her arms, legs, and face. Her face was covered in soot as if she was in a fire.
When that happened, everyone was getting examined so they all saw her in that condition. Blue, Gary, and X were the most upset. I could see that X was ready to tear Mason apart, but the nurses whisked Scarlett and Mason away before X could do anything. They were still treating Scarlett right now. They covered her injuries, but she's still sleeping. At least they think she's sleeping. As for Mason, he hasn't shown his face around us after he got treated. I heard he left right after.
It was a miracle we all survived. I could feel that the four of us, five when Scarlett was still with us, were faltering. We were losing energy. That woman, Spectre, was overwhelming us. By some gift sent by Arceus himself, when we all attacked at once, it was a critical hit and both of her pokémon fainted.
I heard X, Serena, Dawn, Lucas, and Barry got some help. The people who helped them were waiting with us right now. I looked over at them. They didn't seem to be from here and I have never seen them around school. They introduced themselves as Moon, Sun, and Hau. We were all wary of them. After all, they did show up just when six masked figures attacked our school. They looked harmless enough, but looks can be deceiving.
Satoshi and some of the teachers came in the infirmary earlier. They wanted to check up on us to see if we were okay. The other students were safe back in their houses. The figures didn't attack the town or houses. They only aimed for the campus and the forest around it.
I didn't see Satoshi in the waiting room anywhere. There were Erika, Sabrina, and Lance in here. I guess the others must have left.
"Yellow?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Blue looking down at me.
"Hmm? What is it Blue?" I answered her. I saw her sigh and sit down next to me.
"I know that you have always wondered about your family and that you asked X to help you." she said.
"What? How do you-?"
"He told me." Blue cut me off. "Actually, I made it my business. You're one of my best friends. I had to help you with it."
"Blue you still don't have to do it. It's fine." I told her. I started to stand up to check on the others, but Blue's hand on my wrist stopped me.
"Just, listen to me." she pleaded. I saw tears welling up in her eyes and couldn't help myself. I sat down back next to her.
"Okay. What do you have to tell me?" I asked her.
"X and I did some research." Blue said slowly. "We looked at your DNA, talked to some people, and I believe we found your father."
My eyes widened. Is it true? Did she really find my dad? I can't believe it. After all this time, I may have a father. Blue turned around and motioned with her hand for someone to come over. I looked up to see Lance stroll over to us. Blue stood up and Lance took her place. Blue walked to the others and left Lance with me.
Lance is my father? The one who loved my mother? The one who never even knew about me? He's a battle champion while I'm just a little girl who was born with special powers in the middle of a forest. Can we really be related?
I looked up to Lance. It looked up he was trying to say something, but couldn't. Then, he did say something. "Are you really Autumn's daughter?" he asked.
I tilted my head. That's really what all he has to say? But that wasn't the part of it that caught my attention the most. "You know my mother's real name?" I said. My mother's name was Autumn, but people just called her Topaz because that was the name she gave to people whenever they asked for her name. The only people she gave her real name to were the ones who she was really close to.
"Of course she was the one who told me it." Lance nodded. That gave me something to think about. If my mother gave him her name, than he must be close to her, right? "I know it's strange trying to talk to me. I get it. I just found out about you a few weeks ago. I didn't even know Autumn was pregnant. Now I wish I never went on that trip."
"What do you know of the Viridian Forest?" I asked him. It was a random question, but I remember one time very long ago that Uncle told me about. He said that my mother only shared the secret of the forest with one other person. The one who she loved the most.
I saw Lance smile. "That's a topic I never thought I would talk about. I thought there would be no one else to share it with. Autumn told me about it and she helped me find out about my powers. It was nice to know that I can heal pokémon on my own and become closer to them, but I was the only one I knew who can do it. I have anyways been an outcast when I was growing up. I was born as the grandson of the Blackthorn Clan's Elder, but I wasn't born in the city. I was born in the Viridian Forest. I grew up different then the other kids and now I know why. Why I felt so different than everyone else around me."
I digested the information. I think I understand. I think I see myself in him. Not the battling part, but the part where I'm different than everyone else. I didn't have that many friends when I was little. It was just Leaf and Ashley, but it was enough. They accepted me. I accepted them. Just like how I accepted Lance as my father.
I smiled back at him. "Okay. I believe you."
"Believe what?" he asked me with a frown.
"I may not know much about the man who my mother loved back then, but now I think I do. I think you're my father. I think you loved her. I think you truly didn't know about me. I think I'm your daughter. Actually, I know all of that stuff. You are my father and I am your daughter." I answered.
"Thank you." he nodded at me with a smile. "I don't know how to act in this situation. I just found out I have a daughter so I don't know what to do." he rubbed the back of his head. I giggled.
"Don't worry. I'm trying to get used to this too." I reassured him.
"You look so much like your mother." Lance commented. That, I laughed at. "What? What's so funny?" I quickly placed my hands over my mouth.
I uncovered my mouth so I could speak. "Did Blue tell you the whole story?" I asked him. Lance shook his head no. I covered up more laughter. "We don't really look like this. We are all just disguised so we won't be recognized by the public."
"But why would you do that?"
"It's complicated, but we wanted new lives so we all got new looks. I actually have black hair and blue eyes." Huh, now that I think about it, where did my black hair come from? Now that is a real mystery. Perhaps Lance isn't actually my father…
"Oh. I can't imagine you anything but a blonde." Lance said as he laughed. I laughed with him. I looked over to the others. I frowned when I saw X looking worried. He's probably stressing because of Scarlett. He fulfilled his promise to me so I should do the same. I excused myself from Lance and walked over. I stopped. I shouldn't tell him up front. I need a way to do it so both of them will know at the same time.
Serena's POV
I pressed my hands down on my knees. "Come on, stop shaking! You're fine! Everyone's fine!" I told myself. I sighed as I stop pressing. It was no use. My knee shook up and down without my consent.
I looked around the room. Erika and Sabrina were talking to some of the others right now. Yancy and Curtis came in so they can be Whi-Two and Lack-Two. Black and White were sitting together, Black still clutching that file he had in his hand all the way through the ordeal. What's so important that he needs to hold onto it? You know what? Never mind. It's none of my business. I need to know if Scarlett is okay. I really need to know. No, that would be selfish. I know everyone else in here wants to see if she's okay too.
I see that X isn't around anymore. Huh. I wonder where he can be. My attention got diverted by Sabrina walked up to me.
"You're Serena, am I correct?" she asked me. To be honest, Sabrina is very intimidating. She's the Kanto regional Psychic Gym Leader and even though she isn't as harsh as she was before, according to Ash, she still scares me.
"Yes?" I answered warily. What does she want?
"You do realize that I can hear your thoughts, correct?" she said. I mentally slapped myself. Of course! She's a psychic! I am so stupid! "Pardon me, but I usually don't invade other people's thoughts. I'm so sorry."
"No! No! It's fine!" I said. "Um, but was there something you wanted?"
"Oh yes." Sabrina pulled out a letter from her pocket. "This is from that little Yellow girl. She wishes for you to follow the directions on that."
"Yellow? But why didn't she-?" I looked to where I saw Yellow last to see that it was empty. Lance has gotten up and was now talking to Black and White. "That's odd. She was just here."
"She and Blue just left for something important, or so they told me." Sabrina explained. "Just take the letter and do as it says. I believe it is worth your time."
"Okay." I took the letter from her. With that, Sabrina turned do her heel and walked away. I looked down at the letter in my hands. It was sealed with an old fashion wax seal. I looked closer to see that it has the imprint of a flower. How cute. The wax itself was yellow and the envelope the letter was in was a nice cream color. This is definitely Yellow's handiwork.
I slid my finger under the wax seal and it popped up. I flipped the flap up and pulled out the letter. It was folded in three so I unfolded it and found Yellow's round handwriting on it.
Dear Serena,
You told me about your childhood and about your cousin you lost in touch with. I believe I have found your cousin. It was a favor from him, so just know that he still remembers you. The two of you can be reunited again. Go to Zygarde's statue in the campus courtyard and he will wait for you there. I hope the two of you will be a family again.
From, Yellow
I reread the letter one more time just to see that I read that right. My cousin? Xander? Oh Arceus! I remember now! I told Yellow about him weeks ago! Geez, she actually found him?! No wait, she said he asked her to find me. So that means he can know what happened that day. The day where I got shipped off to Kanto.
I stood up. This is the chance I've been waiting for. I have to take it! I walked out of the doors and was met with a gust of wind. I shivered as I wrapped my arms around myself. Arceus, why didn't I bring a coat with me? Oh right, I was storming out to meet up with my cousin.
With the letter in one hand, I kept on walking. The entire campus was deserted. That does make sense considering how the teachers made everyone go back to their houses. I slowly made my way to Zygarde's statue. As I walked, the moon shined down on me, illuminating my path. I looked up and saw the stars glisten in the night sky. I soon found out that I made it to the statue. It was made out of gray granite. It depicted all of Zygarde's forms with its Complete Form in the middle. It was big enough for me not to see whatever's on the other side.
The base of the statue had benches carved in it so I sat down there. The stone was cold at first, but it wasn't bad once you got used to it. I held the letter in both of my hands as I looked down at it.
Will he come? Will he say something? Oh Arceus, what if this is a joke?! What if he doesn't really want to see me?! What if-?!
"Serena?" I snapped out of my delusional rant and looked up. It was X. X is my cousin? Wait a minute.
X. Xander. X. Xavier. X. Xavier Calem. X. Calem. X. Calem Xander. X. Xander.
OH ARCEUS!
"X!" I squealed as I jumped up. Oh Arceus! How could I've been so blind?! He was right in front of me this entire time! I gasped. "You! You're Xander! You're Calem!"
"Shh! Don't be so loud!" X exclaimed. I promptly shut my mouth. "Heh. I never thought it would be you all this time."
"Calem. I can't believe I didn't see it." I covered my face with my hands. "It was so obvious!"
"Hey, you're supposed to be the smart one. I could only remember your hair color because it reminded me of honey." X joked.
"You always did eat a lot back then." I remarked.
"Heh. That's true."
"So, what have you been for all this time?" I asked.
"That's a tough question." X said. "I guess after the accident I lost it all,"
"What accident?" I asked. Was that the same day I lost some of my memories?
"You don't remember?"
"Guess not."
"Well, it's a long story."
"We have all the time we need here."
"You're right. Okay, here's the story. So you remember that there were two pokemon attacking Vaniville, right?"
"Uh-huh. That's the one part I remember."
"So, somehow, I got caught up on one of them, the bird shaped one, and it flew up high in the air. Next thing I knew, I was falling off of it."
"That's awful!"
"I know, but I fainted during the middle of it and woke up with my parents next to me. I guess that was when your parents shipped you off to Kanto for the summer to forget about it. My family travelled the region after that. It wasn't until I was ten did we move back to Vaniville Town and I started my journey. I think that was about a month before you did."
"No wonder I don't remember you." I said. "But now I'm glad that I have you back. I can't wait to tell Mom! She'll be so happy!"
"Uh, yeah. There's another part to that." X said.
"Another part?" I asked.
"Yeah, do you want to know why my name is different now?" he responded.
"Huh, why didn't I ask that first?" I wondered out loud. "Oh well, go on."
"So while my family was travelling, there was this one Junior Tournament in a town. I entered it. I was about eight at the time so it was pretty surprising to everyone to see a kid win the tournament. When that happened, reporters were immediately all around me so I sort of became a recluse. I was always in my room so after two years of that, my family moved back to Vaniville Town, as I said, and I went on my journey right then. I was able to collect all of the gym badges, but then the reporters found out who I was and came back to swarm me."
"It wasn't until I found R-Satoshi did I feel safe. He recruited me into his, let's say, second chance program. I was able to make a new life for myself. That was where I found everyone else. I chose a new name and changed my appearance up. I met everyone else and just went along with the ride."
I couldn't help but feel something weird when he explained all of that to me. I always get this feeling whenever he's not telling me the truth. "You're not telling me the whole story." I told him.
He sighed. "Well, you always had a knack for ratting me out." X said. "Okay, so there are a few details I left out. My friends? Yeah, that's not their real names."
"I figured."
"And Satoshi? He's actually Red."
"Red? Do you mean Ash's dad?" I asked.
"Yep. He's the one." X nodded. "And ever wonder about," he paused for a moment. "Scarlett?"
"She's one of my best friends." I answered. "What about her?"
"Well, she's actually," he paused again. "Red's daughter."
My eyes widened. "Wait, so you're saying that Scarlett,"
"Her real name's Ashley." he corrected.
"That Ashley is Ash's s-sister?" I finished. He nodded. "Oh Arceus, oh Arceus. This is surreal!"
"Can you promise me something?" X asked.
"Huh? What?"
"Don't tell them."
"What? Why?"
"Neither of them knows. They shouldn't know until we know the full story."
"We?"
"My friends and I. We've been working on this for a while now."
"Hmm. Okay. I won't tell them. Or anyone for that matter."
"Thank you." X smiled at me.
"Of course. That's what family is for." I smiled back.
"Yeah. Family." he nodded. "I have to go, but I'll see you around."
"Of course." I nodded. "bye." With that, X walked away. I sat down again on the bench. I let out a sigh. I smiled as I held up the letter to my face. Finally. A piece of the puzzle is solved. Then I frowned. But the real puzzle isn't solved. Scarlett? Ashley? Ash? What's going on?
White's POV
"Black? Are you okay?" I asked him as I held on gently to his arm.
"Yeah. I'm fine." he answered in a monotone voice. I frowned. That doesn't sound like him at all.
"Are you sure? I know all that information about your dad was a lot and then we got attacked-?" I stopped when I saw the shadow above us. I looked up to see Lance standing front of us.
"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything." he said.
"Oh, no. You weren't." I said.
"Is there something wrong?" Black asked.
"Um, I would like to discuss with you something about your father." Lance said.
"My father?" Black was confused. I was confused. How could Lance know anything about Black's dad?
"Looker informed me that his son was looking around the International Police's records on Grey Touya. Usually, Hanson would get punished for this, but this is a different case." Lance said. "Grey Touya has been a vanishing ghost for a while now ever since he joined the International Police."
"He joined the IP?" Black asked.
"Yes. After he gave up his title as Unova League Champion. Anyways, Grey has been missing-"
"Wait a minute, how do you know that Grey is Black's father?" I interrupted him. "They have different last names, excluding how Black just confirmed how Grey was his father in the first place. How did you know?"
"Easy. My daughter told me." Lance smiled at us.
"Your daughter?!"
"Yes. Yellow."
"Yellow?!"
"Yes, it is a bit strange for me too, but she told everything that's going on with you kids so your secrets are safe with me. Don't worry." Lance said.
"We seriously need to have a talk about this with the others when we get home." I told Black.
"So what were you saying?" Black asked, totally ignoring me. I was fuming, but neither of the males was paying attention to me. Argh! Boys!
"Grey has been missing for some time now, but a few years back when we were searching for some people to fill in some positions at the academy, a man approached us." Lance continued.
"Let me guess, it was Grey." I voiced my opinion.
"The man said that he was looking for a job." Lance totally ignored me. Again! If he wasn't Yellow's dad! (Oh, and a Champion of course) "We checked his background and he seemed clean so we hired him. He's still here today. He's an External Affairs Officer here. He works with reaching out to outside companies and organizations to help our academy. In fact, he's here to meet you." Lance waved over a guy who I didn't notice was waiting in the shadows all this time. Totally not creepy at all. Insert sarcasm here.
"Black, are you listening to me?" I asked my boyfriend. But I failed to get his attention. Just like this entire conversation. Lance was already walking away, but Creepy Guy was walking closer to us. I turned towards the man and saw that he was dressed in a black trench coat with a black fedora on his head. Everything he wore was black. Black slacks, black shoes, even black sunglasses. Who needs sunglasses?! It's November! At night!
The man took off his hat and sunglasses when he was in front of us. I got a good look of his face. His hair was very shaggy. There were signs of stubble of a beard growing on his chin. His eyes were pitch black and had a look to them that looks like this man has seen more than anyone can in a lifetime. Overall, he looked like an older version of Black before he changed his look.
"Grey?" Black asked.
"Huh." The man's voice was gruff. Deep. Sounds like he hasn't spoken in a long while. "I haven't heard that name for a very long time. What's your name, kid?"
"Um, Black. Black Kuro." he answered. I coughed. "Oh, and this is White Shiroi."
"His girlfriend." I added, still glaring at the man. "What's your name?"
"My name? Straight to the point, aren't you?" the man looked at me.
"Just answer the question." I spat at him. I don't have a good feeling about him.
"Feisty. Chose a good one, kid." The man looked back at Black. "But since the little miss is insisting, my name is Guro. Guro Storm."
"Guro? But doesn't that also mean-?"
"Grey?" I finished for him.
"Smart kid." Guro chuckled. "Never expected for you to become so wise. She must be a good influence on you."
"So are you really Grey then?" Black asked.
"Tell me this," Guro said. "How's Temperance doing?"
"You know my mom?" Black asked.
"Know her?" Guro scoffed. "I was married to the woman for over twenty years. Hmm, has it really been that long? I wonder if she still remembers…"
"Hold up." I raised my hands up. "You said that your name is Grey and that you're married to Black's mother so you are his father, aren't you?"
"She is full of surprises, isn't she?" Guro gestured to me. I scowled. He may be Black's father, but he's getting on my nerves.
"So you're my father?" Black asked.
"Maybe. Maybe not. All I know, I had a kid whose name is Hilbert Touya. Not Black Kuro." Guro said.
"Oh for the love of Arceus, this is getting nowhere." I grumbled. "He's Hilbert Touya! He's your son!"
"Nah. That can't be him. Hilbert had black hair. And eyes too for that matter. He would never had brown anything." Guro shrugged.
This man is officially on my most hated list. And he's pretty up there too. Ebony is beating him by just a little.
"Can you keep a secret?" Black asked. I facepalmed. He may be an idiot, but I still love him. He's my boyfriend, what am I going to do?
Black went on and told Guro about our little secret. He didn't tell him about Scarlett and Ash though. That doesn't concern him. For now.
"Hmm, if I get this right, you're all under new identities and you're going undercover at this school for some crazy mission?" Guro said.
"Wait a minute, he didn't tell you that last part!" I exclaimed.
"Relax girly, I've been in touch with that Satoshi of yours. Believe it or not, we have a lot in common." he said.
"I would never think two Champions who abandoned their posts would have so much in common." I was dripping with sarcasm.
"Hey, I turned it down, took it, and then stepped down, okay? I didn't abandon it." Guro pointed out.
"Like that's so much better." Cue the sarcasm.
"You know, you have a smart mouth on you."
"Only when I need to. Or feel like it."
"So what did you talk to Satoshi about then?" Black asked. Geez, it seems like that's all he's been doing. Just asking question after question.
"Just that he has you lot doing some mission. He thought it would be dangerous and asked me to keep a close eye on you. From a distance of course. I can't get too close until, well, this conversation come up." Guro answered.
"Okay then Guro, what are you going to do now? Call your wife and tell her that you're okay? Bond with your son? Or stalk us like you have been doing?" I asked him.
"One, call me Grey. You're going to be my future daughter-in-law so we should get familiar with each other. Two, I do call my wife. Weekly in fact. Three, I don't stalk you kids. I just make sure you're okay from time to time." Guro said.
"Yeah right, like you're very- Hey!" I exclaimed once all of what he said sank in.
"Ha!" he laughed. "Well, I better get going. You kids stay safe. I'll be keeping in contact you now that you about me." With that, he turned around and walked out of the door.
"The nerve of that man!" I huffed. I turned to Black. He was still staring out at that wall. "Black! Are you listening to me?"
"Huh?" with that, he jumped a little. "Oh yeah. I am."
I facepalmed. Why didn't I expect this? "Black? Are you sure you're okay? I could see that it was a lot of information to take in."
"I'm fine. Just a little shocked, that's all."
"A little? Well, I guess I can relate. At least you finding out who your father was is better than how my siblings and I found out about ours."
"Okay, no need to start feeling bad about yourself." Black wrapped an arm around me. "Listen, I'm sorry for looking so distant tonight. You're right; it was a lot of information to digest, but I think I can live with it. So thank you."
"For what?" I asked.
"For staying by my side. I could see that you were frustrated at some parts, but you still stuck through me. That's the best thing I can ever ask for." With that, he kissed my forehead. I instantly melted into him. Black may act boneheaded and loud sometimes, but I still love him. Under that tough exterior, there's a soft heart. I leaned my head on his shoulder and we just sat there, happy for us. Just us.
Scarlett's POV
I woke up to the darkness. What was the last thing that happened? Oh yeah. I was riding with Mason, but then I fell? Did I? I don't remember. I felt so tired. Sleep was luring me in so I let myself fall. I guess I fell in more than one way.
Hmm? What's that? It's coming closer? Oh wait. I see something white. And red. And blue? Is it a flag? No, it's not a flag. That blue is an eye. It's just a few feet away from me. Whatever it is, it's mainly black with a red collar and white 'hair' drifting up. I could only see one eye, and it was blue.
"Darkrai?" I spoke loud. When I did, it echoed. Odd. Why would it echo here?
"Don't try to speak, child. He will hear you." Darkrai said. With that, a roar echoed through the empty space.
I opened my mouth again, but quickly shut it, in fear of whatever made that roar.
"I know what you are thinking; what was that beast?" Darkrai said. I nodded. "I cannot tell you now, but in the future you will see. Now you must wake."
"Wake?" I said. I quickly covered my mouth. Another roar rocked the space, but it sounded closer.
"Go now. You must. He mustn't take control." With that, Darkrai faded away. The endless black turned into blinding white.
My eyelids fluttered opened as I adjusted to the bright white lights above me. I let out a moan as my vision was blinded for a second. When I was able to see again, I looked around me to see white walls and lights illuminating the room. I tried to move around, but my body throbbed. I looked down at my right hand to see bandages wrapped around it. Whenever I tried to move it, a pain shot through my arm. I heard a noise next to my left. I looked over to see Dad dozing off in chair.
"Dad?" I spoke softly. With only that small word, he snapped wake. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes before taking a good look at me.
"Aly!" he exclaimed. He hugged me. I still felt a little achy, but it was good to see a familiar face again. "How are you feeling?"
"A little sore." I answered as he let me go. "What happened?"
"You don't remember that the school was attacked?" he asked.
"I do, but I was riding with Mason and after that, I woke up here."
"Well, Mason got you to the infirmary here since you fell off of his bike and you were all scratched up. They got up patched up and you were sleeping for quite a while. It's midnight now."
"Midnight? I was out for that long?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I'm just glad you're okay." Dad said as he squeezed my left hand.
"It didn't seem that long." I replied. "Where's everyone else?"
"Your friends went back to their houses. Mason and his family wanted to say, but I told them to go home. I can look after you. I think X is still here though. He refused to leave until you woke up." Dad answered.
X is still here? Even after what I said to him earlier? Oh geez. I really feel bad. I have been acting like a jerk lately, ignoring all of my friends. And I even blew up at him this morning. I should make amends. Starting with X.
"Dad? Can you send him in here? I want to talk to X." I told hm.
He nodded. "Of course. I'll tell the nurses you're okay." he stood up and walked out of the door. With him gone, I looked to where there was a little table. My bag and pokébelt were there. The belt had my pokéballs on there. I smiled. I'm glad my pokémon are okay. I looked through the special clear tops on my pokéballs and saw that my pokémon were all happy to see me okay. My dad had those pokéballs specially made. When I wanted them to, the tops could be see through or not.
Scarlett! Rio exclaimed. You're okay!
"Yeah." I nodded. "I am. Don't come out of your pokéball. I know you feel like it."
You're no fun. She pouted, but I could see a smile on her face. That put another smile on mines.
I heard a knock on the door. I turned towards it. "Come in." I said out loud. I was still lying on the hospital bed so I couldn't really move. It hurted whenever I tried to move lot so I didn't risk it.
The door opened and X's hatless head popped in. His eyes landed on me as soon as he walked in the door. "Scarlett, you're awake."
"Yeah. I am." I said. "What are you waiting for? Sit down." I gestured to the chair next to me. X did as he was told and sat down at my side.
"How do you feel?" X asked.
"It hurts whenever I move too much, but other than that, I'm fine." I answered. I took a deep breath. "X, I'm sorry."
"For what?" he asked me.
"For acting so strange lately. I'm sorry. I didn't know how it hurted you. I'm sorry about this morning. I'm sorry about ignoring you for the last month." I grabbed his hand and held it in my left hand. "The reason for me acting that way is complicated. I wish I can share it with you, but I can't. I'm not sure if you would even like it if I told you."
"It doesn't matter." he said as he squeezed my hand. "I'm just glad you're back."
"I am too." I smiled up at him. "Now that we can start over, what about that date on Saturday? I really was looking forward to that."
"Same here. I'll be picking you up at two." he smirked. "Wear something pretty."
I giggled. "I'll be sure too." For some reason, I grabbed the collar of his shirt and kissed him. He wasn't expecting it and I didn't know what I was doing. But it was amazing. Slowly, I let go of his shirt and X still kissed me. It lasted for a few more seconds before we parted. A perfect start to clear the air.
Ohh, is this a new chapter in their romantic love story? Only time will tell!
I hope you all enjoy how I reunited the families. It was an interesting process for me to write since I wanted each one to be different. I have to say, Grey is becoming one of my favorite characters to write. He's just so different then everyone else in this story that whenever there's a chapter wit him, he's the hardest, but most interesting to write.
Serena has finally wised up to what's going on around her. Although, her thought process was so fun to write.
Yellow is just fine with anything. She's Yellow. What are you going to do with a girl who just goes along with anything?
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Until next time!
