This is a pretty short chapter. I had a request to post it tonight. I hope you all enjoy.

By the way I don't own the Fosters. If I did I think I would have an infinite amount of cool points!

Episode 20 Chapter 5

Lena was patiently waiting outside Sanchez's office. She was discussing Brandon's punishment. Lena was praying his punishment was anything but expulsion. Brandon screwed up, but he didn't deserved to be expelled. He was a good kid. She hoped Sanchez would cut him a little slack. But Lena knew Sanchez. That probably wasn't going to happen.

Brandon walked out of Sanchez's office.

Lena stared at him waiting for the verdict.

"She gave me detention and I have to participate in the Helping and Caring Program." Brandon was still in shock.

Lena couldn't believe it. That didn't make sense. Sanchez had thrown the book at Jesus. "What happened?"

"Someone else confessed." Brandon couldn't believe it.

"Who? Vico?"

Brandon shook his head. "Lauren." She had protected him. "She told Sanchez that the only thing I did was take your key. She told her that I didn't know what she was going to do with it. She said she set me up. But then she felt bad and decided to come clean." He was still surprised by what Lauren had done for him.

Lena hugged him. "I hope you have learned your lesson. You have to stay away from Lauren and Vico, do you understand?"

Brandon nodded. "I know." He couldn't believe Lauren was taking the blame for everything. She really did care about him. "Lauren has been expelled."

"Well maybe that is for the best." Lena said. "Get to class. I'll see you in my office after seventh period."

Brandon nodded. "Okay."

She gave him a hug, and then he walked off. Lena was relieved. She felt like they could finally put this all behind them. They could all look forward to the future.

"Wow." Charlotte said as she closed her locker door. "I should have come to that Charity thing after all."

"Yeah." Callie sighed. "I wish I wouldn't have been there. Maybe we could have switched places."

"You should have told me about Ryan."

"Sorry."

"And Brandon. I can't believe Brandon acted that way." Charlotte was amazed. "I've always got the feeling he was a good boy."

"Yeah well he is. It is all so complicated."

"What are you going to do about Ryan?"

Callie smiled. "I don't know. I guess I'll try again with my moms once I'm adopted."

Charlotte smiled. "It looks like you have got it all figured out."

"Yeah. Well it is all I thought about yesterday." Callie knew she and Ryan would be able to figure it out.

"Callie," Mariana walked up behind them.

"Will you cover for me?"

"What are you doing?" Callie asked. She was worried. She knew Mariana was sad over the possibility of losing Zac.

"I've got to find Zac. He didn't come to school today."

"Mariana."

"Please." Mariana begged.

"Okay."

Mariana hugged her. "Thanks sis." Then she walked off. She had to find Zac.

Jude walked out of his class. "Hey buddy." He jumped when he saw Brandon.

"What are you doing on this side of the building?" Jude asked.

"I wanted to talk to you." Brandon pulled him to the side.

"Okay."

Jude and Brandon hadn't had the best relationship in the past few months.

"Here." Brandon handed him a little red car. "I want you to have this."

Jude looked at the gift. It was a little strange. "What is this for?" He asked.

"It is pretty special to me. It is the first gift Lena ever gave me." Brandon smiled thinking back to that moment. "She said that it was special because her dad gave it to her when she started kindergarten. She kept it in her backpack. It was her lucky charm. And then it became my lucky charm. Now it can be yours."

"Cool. But why are you giving it to me?"

"Because Lena gave it to me when she and my mom moved in together. I felt like that car made us a family. She was officially my mom. Today is the day you officially become a part of our family. I know I haven't acted like it, but I'm really happy to have you as my little brother."

Jude smiled. That was the nicest thing Brandon had ever done for him. "This is really cool, Brandon. Thanks."

"I'm sorry for being such a jerk."

"It doesn't matter now." Jude threw his arms around Brandon. "I'm just glad I'm going to be your brother."

"I need to talk to you." Jesus said as he sat next to Emma on the outside benches.

"Jesus." She tried to stand, but he pulled her back down.

"Please. Just give me a few minutes."

Emma rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine. But make it quick."

"Guys are dumb."

"Tell me about it." Emma agreed.

"We don't always think before we act. I should have told you that I emailed Lexi. But I didn't want you to worry. I'm over Lexi."

"Because she isn't here."

"Well maybe she isn't here for a reason." Jesus had come to that realization. "Maybe I was always meant to love Lexi first. She taught me what it means to love someone. But I know that things have worked out the way that they are supposed to. I'm supposed to be with you. I really cared about you Emma." He smiled. "You are good for me. And I hope I can be good for you."

"Good speech Foster."

"Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?" Jesus hoped that she could.

"Sure. But don't make a habit of emailing your exes."

"No worries." Jesus leaned in and kissed her.

"Good. Because I might have to beat you up next time."

They kissed again. Jesus was so happy to have her back in his life.
