She didn't know what was weirder that she had a daughter in high school or she was back at her old high school as a parent. Of course she had stepped foot in the place since she graduated, her best friend worked there and she had visited him plenty of times before.

This was the first time that she was entering the school as a parent. Her husband was right beside her and he looked just as confused as she felt.

"I keep thinking Clemmons is going to pop out and pull us into his office." he told as they walked through the halls to their daughter's first class.

She nodded her head in agreement. She knew it wasn't going to happen, since the principal finally retired. Her friend jokingly told her that when their old principal saw the last name Echolls on the freshman enrollment he decided he couldn't handle another generation and knew it was time to leave. She had a feeling there was a lot of truth in the joke, she and her husband did leave a pretty lasting impression on the man.

Everything about their old high school was exactly the same as it was when they left it. It was a bag of mixed emotions. They did have a few good ones together and apart, but tons of bad ones as well.

As soon as they sat down in the desks it was the strongest sense of deja vu. She felt like they were about to take a history test when the teacher got up to the front with a stack of papers in her hands.

It was a good thing she wasn't trying to impress or get a good grade, because she was bored out of her mind. She could see her husband was fading as well. Being a parent in a high school was not different than being a student in high school.

The bell ran signaling the end of the mini period and the parents started the transition out of the classroom and to their student's next class. The two dawdled in no rush to get to the next room and there were only a few lingering parents left in the hallway when the second bell rang.

"Come with me." her husband whispered into her ear and pulled her into the girl's bathroom.

She looked around the place she spent the majority of her time in school, it hadn't changed at all either. Her husband pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and held up the out of order sign before placing it on the outside of the door.

"Is that the same one from high school?" she asked.

"Maybe." he smirked turning around to face her.

"You kept it this entire time? Why?"

"Cause I knew that one day I could get another moment like this."

As he was talking he walked closer to her until he was able to wrap her up in his arms and kiss her. She immediately melted into him and was thrown back 25 years ago to the first time they made out in the bathroom.

She pulled him in closer as he walked them over to the sinks and lifted her up onto the counter. She wrapped her legs around his waist as they continued to make out like two teenagers.

No longer were the parents to a student at Neptune High, they were back to being the students they once were. They were going full out on this trip down memory lane.

The two didn't break apart until they heard the bell ring. He lifted her off the counter and placed her down in front of him and the mirror. Quickly she did a once over of her hair and makeup. Just because they were okay with the make out session didn't mean the other parents would agree with it, or their daughter.

Once she deemed herself acceptable she turned back around to face him, "How long have you been planning this?"

"The moment Charlotte started high school and I knew we would have to go to open house."

"This was a lot better than sitting through another one of Mr. Wu's classes."

"I thought you might like it, I know I certainly did. It's been far too long since we had a full 15 minute make out session."

"We do tend to skip to the main event these days. We have to remember to do this more often."

"Don't worry I plan on doing this to you every open house we go to. Plus all the things I wished I could have done to you in this bathroom when we were in high school."

"And what things are those?"

"You'll have to wait until next year's open house. But I will give you a little tip, wear a skirt."

She stared at him surprised, though really she shouldn't have been. They had done a lot of things in public since they had gotten together, it shouldn't surprise her that he wanted to make up for lost time in the old bathroom.

He peaked his head outside and looked into the hallway. Pulling off the out of order sign he turned around to face her. "The cost is clear, as much as I enjoyed this we should get to our next class."

"And what do we have next?" she asked walking out of the bathroom first.

"Newspaper of course, our daughter is following in our footsteps."

"In that case you better hide that sign. We don't need her repeating what we just did in there, or even what I did in high school in that bathroom."

"You mean you don't want her solving the great problems of Neptune High students?" he gasped in mock surprise as he pocketed the sign.

She shook her head, "No! I want her to have as normal a high school experience as possible."

"I don't think there is such a thing as a normal high school experience when you go to Neptune High and are the daughter of the most infamous students of the school."
