Chapter 45: Life's too Short

Kendall checked his phone for the hundredth time. He was waiting for the guys to show up. They were never really on time, Kendall wasn't sure why he was surprised. These boys were going to be the death of him. If they were in trouble at the Palm Woods again, he wasn't going to bail them out. No way, not this time. Kendall sighed, these boys were going to be the death of him.

Kendall looked up as the guys entered the studio running. They quickly slammed the door shut and tried to catch their looked like they had been running. Kendall was sure there was going to be an elaborate story and he was going to have to pay to fix something. He cleared his throat alerting the boys to his presence. They all whipped around.

"Kendall, hey sorry we're late," Jared said quickly.

"Do I even want to know?" Kendall asked.

"Probably not," Matt replied.

"Do I have to write a check?" Kendall asked.

"Nah, we didn't break anything this time," Noah said waving his hand.

"Honestly we didn't do anything," Roldy said, "it's a mad house outside."

"What are you talking about?" Kendall asked confused.

"Have you not been outside yet?" Jared asked confused.

The door burst open once more. This time Penelope entered the did not look happy. Her glare was zeroed in on Kendall. He arched a brow at her confused.

"She did it again," Penelope said whipping her phone out. "They know I work here and they are trying to get anybody who knows to tell them who I am. They nearly attacked these idiots looking for answers."

"Pen, we would never say a word you know that," Matt said stepping up to the fiery blonde.

"I know, it's just...this was supposed to blow over and for awhile it seemed like it did," Penelope sighed.

"I know Pen, but at this point I think it's best we just address this," Kendall said walking over to her. "The longer we avoid this the worse it'll get. They will start accusing of a cover up or something like that."

"Well they are already accusing me of lying just to get money," Penelope sighed.

"So why not just set the record straight once and for all?" Kendall asked.

"This is your choice though Pen, don't do something you're not ready for," Matt said quickly.

"I am ready for this, terrified, but ready," Penelope said looking to Kendall.

"It's gonna get worse before it gets better," Kendall warned her.

"I'm aware," Penelope said nodding her head.

"Ok leave this all to me, I can set something up and if I am lucky enough your name won't even come up," Kendall said. Penelope nodded her head.

-We Are-

Kyle tapped his foot as he waited for Kendall. He was sitting in Kendall's office. He wanted to talk to Kendall about recording some music again. This time he wasn't going to take no for an answer. He was ready for this. Kyle looked to his phone. He only had a few minutes. He was taking his lunch break to do this. Kyle had run into Kelly and gotten her to go look for Kendall.

The office door opened. Kyle jumped up and smiled at Kendall. Kendall looked mildly shocked to see him there.

"What do you want Kyle, I'm busy, and shouldn't you be in school," Kendall asked.

"I'm on lunch, and I want you to reconsider letting me record an album," Kyle said quickly.

"Kyle," Kendall sighed.

"Here, look I am more than ready," Kyle said pulling out his phone. "This is from the night Kenny was born. Miles recorded it."

Kendall took the phone from Kyle. He watched the video. Kyle stood there nervously. He didn't know what Kendall was going to say. This was the one thing he wanted to do. Kendall couldn't say no.

"You wrote that song?" Kendall asked impressed, looking to his son. Kyle nodded his head. Kendall stood there a moment. He held the phone out to Kyle and walked over to his desk. Kyle followed him. He sat down with him.

"Dad-" Kyle started cautiously.

"I'll make you a deal," Kendall cut him off.

"I'm all ears," Kyle replied quickly. He wanted this so bad. He would do anything, even extra chores if that's what it took.

"School come first," Kendall said.

"Deal! School's almost out," Kyle said quickly.

"You've still got one year of high school left and I want you to go to college too," Kendall told his son. Kyle nodded his head. "Also you will work, or I will send you home. That means no letting Jared distract you, and no distracting him."

"Dad just cause we're dating again doesn't mean we're going to be a distraction to one another. It was your idea to recast Jared's love interest in the music video. I was more than willing to help, since you know it's my song," Kyle said cockily.

"Focus Kyle, focus," Kendall said.

"What else, I know you dad," Kyle said.

"I want to work with you," Kendall said.

"Deal, I wouldn't have it any other way," Kyle replied with a smile.

"Great, now get going. You have to get back to school," Kendall said. Kyle nodded and jump up he raced to the door. "Oh and Kyle," he said getting his son's attention.

"Yeah dad?"

"You have to convince your pa to let you do this."

"Oh come on, you're the easy one. No way is pops gonna listen to me," Kyle groaned.

"You convinced me," Kendall replied.

"Fine, but you have to listen to me and my ideas. You can't shoot down everything I say. I want to be a part of the creative process," Kyle said turning back to Kendall. He pulled a notebook out of his backpack. "I've got ideas."

"I know, but you've got to get back to school," Kendall said taking the book. He looked over what Kyle had been working on.

"Right," Kyle said nodding his head. He held his hand out for the notebook. Kendall gave it back.

"Don't forget, Dom is almost done with the video and would like you guys to do a screening today around 4:30ish," Kendall said.

"I know, I'll be here after school," Kyle called out as he took off out of the office. He hadn't expected Kendall to cave that easily. Now all he had to do was convince James. That was easier said than done.

-We Are-

Jake looked down at his watch. Damien was late. Jake had his five month ultrasound today. They were going to find out if they were going to have a little boy or a little girl, and Damien wasn't here. Jake was starting to get worried. He didn't want to do this alone.

"Jacob Knight?"

Jake sighed. It looked like he was going to be alone. Damien had better have a damn good excuse.

"Jake!"

Jake turned and saw Damien bolting into the room. Jake smiled, then frowned.

"You're late, they just called me back," Jake said walking over to the nurse.

"Sorry, my class ran late, and then my professor wanted to talk to me," Damien said.

"About what?" Jake asked.

"I'll tell you later, let's go see our baby girl," Damien said with a smile.

"You mean baby boy," Jake said.

"That's what we're here to find out," Damien replied. Jake just smiled.

The two followed the nurse back to the ultrasound room. She told Jake to get changed into a gown and that the technician would be with them shortly.

"Boy or girl, I'll love this kid no matter what," Damien said.

"Good, me too," Jake replied.

The technician joined them. He started the ultrasound and started taking her measurements. She talked Jake and Damien through what she was doing. Near the end she turned to the pair.

"Are we looking to find out the gender?" she asked.

"Yes." The pair replied simultaneously. They shared a look and smiled.

"It's a boy," she said.

Jake and Damien's smiles grew. The technician pointed things out to the two and gave them a disc with their pictures.

As the pair exited the hospital, Jake couldn't help but feel happy. It wasn't that he was having a boy, it's that he and Damien were starting their family. They were getting closer to brining their bundle of joy into the world. Jake was so happy with his life. Things couldn't be better.

"So Day," Jake said as they reached their car.

"Hmm?" Damien asked.

"What did your professor want," Jake asked curiously.

"Oh, he wanted to talk to me if I still wanted to be a French teacher and suggested maybe studying abroad for a semester or two," Damien said.

"Oh," Jake said pausing with his car door open. Damien didn't notice as he climbed into the driver's seat. Jake quickly got into the car. "So what did you say?"

"I told him I still want to be a teacher, but there is now way I could study abroad right now. I've got too much here for me," Damien said reaching over and taking Jake's hand. "I've got you and this little guy." Damien's hand moved to Jake's stomach.

"Are you sure, I don't want you to miss an opportunity like this," Jake said.

"I'm not missing anything. My family comes first," Damien replied grabbing Jake's hand once more.

Jake didn't say anything after that. He wasn't sure what to say. He knew what Damien's dream was. He also knew how much Damien had loved going to Paris the first time. Jake knew that Damien would want to go back. With everything going on, they had to put their lives on hold. Suddenly he wasn't as happy as he had been.

-We Are-

Miles was sitting with Lucas. It was after lunch and the pair was waiting for the bell to ring. They also hasn't seen Kyle since he took off. He told them he had something to do and disappeared.

"So, I was thinking maybe once Rion gets off lockdown you and her and Artie and I could go out together," Lucas said.

"Like a double date?" Miles asked.

"Yeah, we could do mini golf or something like that," Lucas said.

"Sounds fun," Miles replied with a smile.

"Really? You don't think it's dumb?" Lucas asked.

"Nah, you and I barely do stuff together. We should hang out more, just the two of us. With Kyle and Jared back together we'll get more opportunities," Miles said.

"Are you saying I put my relationship first?"

Miles and Lucas looked down the hall. They saw Kyle heading there way. Miles just rolled his eyes.

"Not always, but since you just got back together you'll be ditching me more often," Miles said

"Sorry, I'll do my best to be fair, but I won't have much time for you or Jared since I'll be recording music," Kyle said cockily.

"He agreed to let you record?" Miles asked shocked.

"Yeah, well just my dad, but I am sure pops will agree," Kyle said cockily.

"Awesome, I want a shout out in the thanks yous since I, you know, jump started your career," Miles said smirking.

"Of course Miles," Kyle said quickly. "Everyone will get one. You all helped me and supported me." He added looking towards Lucas who smiled as well.

The P.A. system pinged. The secretary called for Miles Mitchell to report to the office. Kyle and Lucas looked to him.

"I didn't do it I swear, I've been sitting here with Lu for like twenty minutes now," Miles said. putting his hands up in surrender. The bell for class rang.

"Come on, I'll go vouch for you," Kyle said jumping up.

"I gotta get to class, if I'm tardy and unexcused again I'll fail," Lucas apologized.

Kyle and Miles waved the other teen off. He took off in the opposite direction. Kyle grabbed Miles by the arm and quickly led him to the office.

The two entered the office. The secretary was sitting at her computer. She looked to the two confused.

"I only asked for Miles," she said.

"I know, but he's been with me for the last twenty minutes or so and whatever you think he did, he didn't do," Kyle said quickly.

"It's nothing like that boys," she said. "Your dad is in talking with the principal."

As if on cue the door behind her opened. Logan and their principal, Mr. Matthews walked out. Logan had a solemn expression and Mr. Matthews looked sympathetic.

"Dad? What's wrong?" Miles asked confused.

"I've, uh, got some bad news I'm afraid," Logan said slowly.

"What's wrong? Who's hurt?" Miles asked quickly.

"No one is hurt, it's not that it...it's just...uh," Logan said slowly. He seemed torn over something. Miles was getting more worried. "It's Rion." Logan said finally.

"What do you mean? Is she ok? Is her cancer back?" Miles asked his panic rising.

"No," Logan said shaking his head.

Miles was confused. What was Logan trying to say. He wasn't making sense. If it was her cancer, then why was he here. He couldn't mean...no that was impossible. There was no way. Miles was over reacting. Miles felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked to Kyle. He seemed to have made the same conclusion as Miles.

"Miles I'm sorry, she uh passed away early this morning," Logan said finally.

"No," Miles said shaking his head. He felt Kyle squeeze his shoulder. "You're lying, she's just a little sick."

"Miles I am so sorry," Logan said shaking his head.

"Dude," Kyle said.

"You're lying," Miles said. His chest felt like it was collapsing in on him. Logan closed the distance between them. "She can't be, she was getting better. It was gone!"

"I know Miles, but these things happen. She had pneumonia, her immune system was still weakened from her treatment," Logan said going into Doctor mode.

"No, I just talked to her last night," Miles said shaking his head.

"Miles," Kyle said slowly. Miles looked to Kyle. He didn't want to believe it. It was true. It couldn't be true.

Miles backed away from Kyle and Logan. He hit the wall behind him. He stood there shaking his head. His chest felt like it was collapsing in on itself. He didn't want to believe it. THere was no way that she was gone. She had been getting better.

Logan walked up to his son and pulled him into a hug. Miles stood there. He wasn't sure what to do. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over to Kyle.

"Come on, I'll take you home," Logan said to Miles. MIles opened his mouth but no words came.

"Go dude, I'll get your homework and stuff from your locker," Kyle said.

Miles just hung his head. He allowed Logan to lead him from the office. He was vaguely aware of his surroundings anymore. He felt numb.

-We Are-

Jared sat back as he watched the final cut of the music video for That's What Makes You Mine. It was a series of clips of the guys with their significant others. Even Penelope was in the video. Matt found it easier to act lovey dovey with her. Most of the video was them just goofing off and some serious moments that they had been lucky enough to capture on film. There was also video of the guys sitting on stools singing as well. It was a great video. The video ended with everyone sitting together laughing at some joke Noah had told.

"So, what do you think?" Dominic asked looking to the boys. He had worked hard on this and hoped they approved. They weren't going to do a second reshoot.

"I like it," Roldy said quickly.

"I love it," Noah piped in.

"Yeah, it's great," Matt said.

Everyone looked to Jared. He had remained silent this entire time. It didn't matter if the others liked it. This was Jared's song and his approval meant whether or not this went public.

"It's perfect," Jared said simply.

"You really think so?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah, it's better than what we were trying to do with those actors," Jared said. The guys all nodded their heads.

"So, this is what we're going with?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah," Jared said nodding his head. The others followed his lead. This was Jared's song. They wanted him to be happy.

"What about you Pen?" Kendall asked addressing his blonde assistant across the room.

"I'll admit I wasn't to eager to do it at first but seeing the finished product, it's really good," Penelope said with a smile. Matt's smile grew at that.

The door opened and Kyle rushed in. He stopped when he saw everyone. "Am I late?"

"Very," Jared replied.

"Yeah, we watched it already," Noah said.

"I told you 4:30," Kendall told his son.

"I'm sorry, I had something more important to take care of," Kyle said slowly.

"What's more important than seeing a music video you're starring in?" Matt asked with a grin.

"Miles," Kyle said quickly without missing a beat. "He needed me and his friendship is a little more important than a music video."

"What's wrong with Miles? Is he ok?" Kendall asked worriedly.

"Miles is fine, mostly," Kyle said slowly. "It's Rion, she...uh...died." He said bluntly.

"What? Did her cancer come back," Kendall asked shocked. He quickly led Kyle from the room.

"No, she had pneumonia and her immune system was too weak to fight it off. Her lungs filled with fluid and she passed in her sleep," Kyle said.

"Are you ok?"

Kyle looked up and saw Jared standing in the doorway. No one had asked Kyle that. All attention has been focused on Miles. It was nice that someone cared enough to ask.

"I'm doing better than Miles," Kyle replied.

"Go then, go be with him and help him," Jared said.

"He doesn't want any visitors," Kyle said quickly.

"That's exactly why you need to be with him," Jared said quickly.

"He's right, if I know Miles then the last thing he needs is to be alone," Kendall said.

"Ok, but can I watch the video first, I'm curious to see how it turned out," Kyle said.

"Yeah, it's great," Jared said grabbing the blonde and pulling him back into the room.

"Sorry, but I gotta go guys," Penelope said her phone in her hand. She quickly ran from the room waving and saying goodbye.

"Yeah and we were supposed to meet with Kelly like ten minutes ago to go over some wedding details," Roldy said looking to Noah.

"Go ahead and go, I know Kelly can get crazy when she's planning a wedding," Kendall said.

"She's not crazy," Noah said shaking his head.

"Oh just wait," Kendall replied knowingly.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Kendall whipped around to see Kelly standing behind him. He smile faltered for a second. He quickly regained his composure.

"It means the closer to the wedding the more demanding you become. I had to go through two weddings with you," Kendall replied.

"Two?" Noah asked confused.

"I was Logan's best man, so of course I had to help with planning," Kendall said. "I'm actually surprised she isn't dragging you two into this yet," he added earning a slap from Kelly.

"Don't sass me," Kelly said threateningly.

"Yes ma'am," Kendall said fighting back a grin.

Kelly slapped him again. She rolled her eyes. She told Noah and Roldy to follow her. The three of them left the room.

"And you wonder where Adam and I get our sass it's from watching you," Kyle said looking to Kendall. Kendall opened his mouth and closed it. "See, I'm right."

"Well, I don't have an excuse, I just don't wanna stay," Matt said jumping up and leaving as well.

"Let's just watch the video," Kyle said before Jared could say anything.

-We Are-

Adam paced back and forth as he gently rocked his son. It was hard to believe that he was two weeks old already. The time just seemed to fly by. This was so much different that when Miri had been born. There were no complications this time. Everything had turned out just fine with the delivery.

Kendall weighed in at a whopping nine pounds on the dot. He was a big baby. Everyone had been so glad to see him. He had dirty blonde hair and his eyes were still dark. They had time to change. This baby was more Knight the Anderson, unlike Miri. Kyle and Leora had quickly given him the nickname Kenny.

Two weeks later and Kendall was getting more used to people coming to see him and wanting to hold him. He was crying and pooping he was a healthy baby boy. Adam just adored his son.

"Oh my sweet little boy, you are so adorable," Adam cooed at his son. Kendall just stared back at him with wide eyes making Adam smile.

Adam really had missed having a baby around. It was nice to have this again. That wasn't to say that Adam didn't love Miri. She was getting so big. She was almost two years old now. Watching her grow was a joy and Adam knew that watching Kendall would be as well. His kids were his life. They were the reason he woke up in the morning and worked hard to get them everything they deserved. Cooper also had something to do with it as well.

There was a knock at the door. Adam stopped his pacing and answered the door. He was greeted with the sight of Cooper and Miri.

"There's my little girl," Adam said with a smile making Miri smile.

"Buba," Miri said pointing to Kendall.

"Yes Miri that's buba and papa," Cooper said smiling as well. He set Miri down and she ran to her toy box. Adam handed Kendall over to Cooper.

"Hey there little guy," Cooper cooed at his son.

Adam walked over to the couch and sat down. His eyes were drawn to Miri. She was playing with her toys making as much noise as she possibly could. Adam smiled at that. He knew these moments wouldn't last forever. He would have to make the most of them while he could.

"You ok?" Cooper asked.

"I'm fine," Adam replied with a smile.

"You've been quiet is all," Cooper replied walking over to him. He adjusted Kendall in his arms as he sat down.

"Just thinking," Adam said thoughtfully.

"About what?" Cooper asked curiously.

"Our babies," Adam soda simply. "How one of them isn't really a baby anymore and how fast the time is going to fly by for this little guy."

"I know, it's weird thinking it's already been two weeks," Cooper said nodding his head. "Just gotta make the most of the time we've got."

"So how was your day?" Adam asked changing the subject.

"Stressful, my mom got called into work so I had to get a hold of Blaine to go get Miri. He was more than willing after I finally got ahold of him after calling him like ten times," Cooper said shaking his head. "On top of that I've got a paper due tomorrow and it's not even finished yet."

"If you want I can take the kids and you can work on your paper. Maybe I can go visit with my dads. They would love to see the kids," Adam said.

"Ok, let's get them ready to go," Cooper said. He stood with Kendall and left to get him ready to go.

Adam called his dad to see if he was even home. He was and he was eager to have him and the kids over.

-We Are-

Lilly sighed as she watched Miles' bedroom door. He hadn't been out once since she had been home. Kyle had told her about Rion. Lilly wanted to help Miles, but she didn't know how.

The door opened behind her. Lilly looked back as Layla walked in with Kyle behind her. They were talking about Miles too.

"He hasn't emerged yet?" Kyle asked.

"No, it's a lot to take in," Lilly said.

"I know, I just don't want him being alone right now. Not after what he's been through, I don't think leaving him alone is wise," Kyle said.

"What do you mean?" Layla asked confused.

"His depression, he was suicidal before. I don't want him doing anything stupid,"

"Oh yeah, it's hard to picture Miles like that though. He's always smiling and upbeat," Layla said looking down the hallway towards Miles' bedroom.

"It's his self defense, like how I always crack jokes when I'm uncomfortable," Kyle said. "He doesn't like anyone seeing him upset so he tries to act happy at least."

"Can you guys please talk louder, I'm sure the people down the street haven't heard you yet."

The three looked to the end of the hallway. Miles was standing in his bedroom doorway, with his arms crossed over his chest. He was glaring at them.

"Hey, I wanted to come back and make sure you were ok," Kyle said.

"I'm still here aren't I?" Miles asked.

"No need to get snippy with me. I'm just trying to help," Kyle said rolling his eyes at Miles. "You're not the only one hurting you know. She was our friend as well."

"Sorry," Miles said looking down at the floor.

Kyle walked down the hallway, with the girls right behind him. Layla moved past him and gave Miles a hug.

"It's gonna be ok," Layla said softly.

"Doesn't feel like it," Miles mumbled.

"It won't at first," Lilly said.

"It gets better, eventually," Kyle assured his friend. "I really don't think you should be alone right now."

"Ok, then come with me," Miles said.

"Where?" Kyle asked confused.

"Fran's been calling all afternoon. I think she wants to talk and it would be better to do in person," Miles replied.

"Ok, I'll drive," Kyle said pulling his keys from his pocket. Miles nodded his head. The two left with Miles telling Lilly and Layla that he would be back and to tell Logan and Carlos where he went.

"Do you think he's gonna be ok?" Layla asked quietly.

"I hope so," Lilly replied.

The door burst open seconds later. Leora ran inside. Lilly and Layla greeted her.

"I just heard. Is it true? Where's Miles? Is he ok?" Leora asked quickly.

"Yeah it's true, Miles left with Kyle, and he's upset and just needs time to process I guess," Lilly said.

Leora walked over to the stairs and sat down. She seemed to be in shock over this as well.

"She was just a little sick, I thought it was a cold," Leora said.

"Me too," Lilly replied moving to sit next to her best friend.

"This is just so...so..." Leora said at a loss for words.

"Awful?" Lilly supplied.

"Unfair," Leora said shaking her head.

"I know, it sucks. I thought she was getting better and now this," Lilly sighed as she sat down next to Leora.

"It's just not fair, she's our age. She's not supposed to die," Leora said angrily.

"I know Le," Lilly said placing a arm around Leora. She felt a small nudge and looked down at her stomach. "Oh that's so weird."

"What?" Leora asked confused.

"I think I just felt the baby kick," Lilly said. She felt it again and smiled. She quickly grabbed Leora's hand and placed it on her stomach.

"I don't-there it is!" Leora gasped. She motioned for Layla to come over. Layla slows placed her hand on Lilly's stomach. She almost seemed scared. However, a smile spread across her lips as she felt it.

"What are you girls doing?"

Lilly looked up at Logan. She smiled and stood. She grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach. She frowned as the baby stopped kicking.

"Sorry, I guess she stopped," Lilly said.

"She?" Logan asked.

"I thinks she's gonna be a girl," Lilly replied with a smile. "And if anything this baby is probably going to look like a knight, I mean strong genetics and whatnot," she said looking to Leora.

-We Are-

Kendall smiled as he cooed at a his grandson. He was happy to have him over. He glanced up at Miri, he was happy to have her over as well.

"So where's Cooper?" Kendall asked Adam.

"He's got a paper to write and I wanted to give him some peace and quiet," Adam said.

"How have things been?" Kendall asked. He smiled at his grandson once more. He put his hand up to Kendall's and smiled as he grabbed it tightly in his hand.

"Ok, I mean it's an adjustment," Adam shrugged as he watched his son.

"It's odd calling him Kendall," Kendall said looking up at Adam.

"You could always call him Kenny like Kyle and Le do," Adam chuckled. Kendall just nodded his head.

"I never realized how big Miri was getting until I saw her next to Kendall," Adam said.

"It goes by so fast," Kendall said, "next thing you know they'll be in high school and dating," He sighed.

"I dread the day Miri discovers dating," Adam said shaking his head. He never wanted his daughter to grow up.

"It's not fun," Kendall replied. "Kids can be very stressful, but they are also the best thing to ever happen to you, even the bratty ones, who should wear bells so we know where they are at all times."

"Or you could just be less horny and keep it in the bedroom," Adam replied with a smile. The two laughed and shook their heads at each other.

They heard the front door open. Several seconds later Damien and Jake entered the room. They were both wearing smiles as they greeted Kendall.

"So how'd the appointment go?" Kendall asked.

"It's a boy," Jake said happily. He held out his sonogram picture for Kendall to see. Adam took his son from his dad and let him look at the picture.

"So any names yet?" Adam asked.

"A few, nothing that's really sticking," Jake shrugged.

"I've got some of Miri's old things if you want. It's not much, since I have to use most of it right now, but maybe by the time your boy is born I'll be done with it," Adam offered.

"Thanks Addie, we'll keep that in mind," Damien said.

-We Are-

Carlos peered into Miles' bedroom. He saw his son sleeping, or at least pretending to be. Logan had told him about Rion as soon as he got home. Carlos' first thoughts went to Miles. He wanted to make sure he was ok. Miles has a past of of depression and suicidal thoughts.

Carlos closed the door and returned to the living room. Logan was sitting on the couch. He arched a brow at him.

"He's sleeping," Carlos said.

"He took the news, as well as expected, he even went to see her sister," Logan said.

"I can't believe this happened, I thought she was better," Carlos said slowly as he fell down on to the couch. He was in utter shock.

"I know, but it wasn't her cancer, she had pneumonia," Logan explained.

"Whatever the cause, she's too young to have died. It's just so sad when kids die. A parent should never have to bury their kid," Carlos said shaking his head.

"It happens more than it should Los, most of the time it's over stupid violence," Logan said a bit angrily. "We will just have to keep an eye on him and maybe suggest he talk to his counselor," he added.

The two lapsed into silence. They were both thinking about Rion. She had been granted another chance at life, only for it to be cut short. It was unfair and so sudden. It almost didn't feel real.

There you go another chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. So Jamien is having a boy! Yay! Who's excited for that? Rion died? (I am the worst person ever.) Will Miles deal with his feeling appropriately, or will his depression return? How will the others deal with her death? Kendall's got a lot on his plate? Will the boys be the death of him? Will Kyle convince James to let him record an album? Will Noah and Roldy live to regret asking Kelly to be their wedding planner? Is she as bad as Kendall says she is? Find out next time. Lol, more to come guys. I will see you next time, virtual hugs and kisses to you all.
