Based off of The O.C.

I look up at the house in front of me. My lawyer decided that since my mother kicked me out after I hot arrested, he'd let me stay with him and his family. "You live here?" I ask. He nods and leads me into the house.

"Devon!" Cory says. His husband walks into the room.

"This is the girl I told you about, Santana."

"Yes. Hi, I'm Devon." he says. I smile.

"Santana Lopez."

"Santana you're welcome to our guest bedroom upstairs, but if you'd prefer some privacy we'd be glad to let you stay in our pool house. There's a bed in there." I nod. I can tell that I'm totally not what he expected, but in a good way. He was probably expecting some tattooed drug addict. I have two tattoos and they're super small. On my right hip I have my brother's name. A week before he died in a car accident, we got each other's names tattooed on our hips. The second is my initials on my left hip.

"I'm home!" a new voice says. Confused, I turn around.

"In the kitchen!" Cory turns to me. "You remember me telling you about my daughter right?" I slowly nod, trying to remember. Soon, a girl about my age comes in. "Rachel, this is Santana Lopez. She's gonna be staying with us for a bit." Cory says. Rachel nods. "Sweetie how about you show Santana her room. Santana would you prefer the room or the pool house?" Devon asks.

"Pool house is fine." I say. Rachel shrugs and nods.

"Come on." We go out to my new room. "So you're gonna be living with us?" I nod.

"Is that okay?"

"Yea." she says, smiling. "Where are you from?"

"Chino. I kinda got in some trouble and your dad took me in when I got kicked out." I explain. She smiles sadly.

"I'm sorry that happened... but I'm glad that we get to spend time together. We can get to know each other."

"That'd be cool." I say, smiling.

"Welcome to the O.C., by the way." she says, grinning.

Six months later...

"Santana, we've been hanging out for six months. How have you never eaten there?" Rachel asks. I shrug.

"I haven't exactly lived in this town very long. Remember, I'm from Chino, not Newport." She nods. "But thanks for taking me there."

"Anytime." We walk in silence.

"Rach..."

"Yes?"

"Look, I've kinda been getting these vibes from you lately and... well... Look I like you. A lot." I say, looking at the ground. She lifts my chin up.

"I like you too." she says, kissing me deeply.

"Welcome to the O.C." I say. She laughs.

"Welcome to the O.C." she says, kissing me again.
