Author's Note: I am slowly getting back to this... I already have about five-hundred words typed for the next chapter, so hopefully I won't have to keep you waiting so long again.

( T-T)\(^L^ )

Probably.

Also, the usual summer schedule has started again where I go to the lake on weekends, so, expect these on weekdays if anything...

Potions was by far the worst class of the day.

His three visitors decided that they wouldn't let Japan out of their sight, meaning that they were literally stalking him through all his classes. At first it was all right, Kiku supposed. In Transfigurations, the group of men did an… interesting job of hiding their surprise when Mrs. McGonagall turned into her normal human self by making up a very strange story that had nothing to do with anything. Except lemmings- it seemed to focus on the small arctic creatures.

The other classes were pretty much the same thing- and the same topic. In Herbology he was about to ask them if the stories were even real, but had to cough. He hid his face in his elbow, unable to stop coughing for about a minute. When he was finally done catching his breath- where had that even come from?- the other three were even closer than usual.

"… May I help you?"

Turkey crouched down, leaning his forehead against the other's. "Are you all right?" He sighed, taking off his mask so he could see him better. "Kiku?"

He leaned back, regaining his personal bubble. "I'm all right."

He had turned back to his project, letting the group fall into silence. He returned to the strange herb, making sure not to get distracted again. "They shouldn't be here." He silently agreed with the random thought; what happened here and why he was at Hogwarts was his business, with a few exceptions- ones that the trio of intruders didn't fall under.

That one thought led to his mood falling deeper and deeper into resentment for the three, staying until potions.

Snape looked at the occupants of his classroom with little interest, waiting for a certain group of four to show up.

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled mischievously, the wicked blue blinking away for the slightest of moments. "Severus… I'd like to know some things about Mr. Honda's 'guests.'" He offered a lemon drop. When the Potions master made no move for it, he simply popped it into his mouth, sucking on it. "Could you, perhaps, help?"

He sneered. "Do you really think that Mr. Honda is stupid enough not to warn them about me?"

Dumbledore chuckled. "Ah, no… I think he's merely preoccupied with something else."

"And what would that be?"

Blue met blackish eyes. "You already know, I believe."

The Professor straightened. "I don't, Headmaster."

"There is something seriously wrong about these situations, Snape," he hissed suddenly. "We have to make sure he remains on Harry's side. I saw the magic he pulled through Ms. Granger's memories on Halloween night. It's incredibly strong, and with how this year is heading with Mr. Quirrell out of our sights, we need it."

"What are you possibly hoping to gain by dragging another into this mess?" he snapped back, dark eyes flashing as he turned on his heal and started out the room.

Dumbledore wheezed softly behind him; Dumbledore's version of a gasp. "… I have a feeling he his already deeper in this than we can imagine…" His voice was low, ominous, sickly promising as if that was the boy's fate. "I ran into Professor Trelawney earlier…"

He froze. "And… Has she proven her capabilities again?"

"Yes; another prophecy warning about 'taking Japan away from the dark…' and something about remembering the nation's past…" he tutted. "I am assuming that this means Voldemort doesn't only have his eyes set on Europe… His first connection to Asia, the place he'll be targeting soon is Japan, I'm certain of it."

Something felt off about the man's theory, but it did make sense to Snape. "… Headmaster, I… will see what I can do." Another thought came to him. "Should we also create wards for his adoptive family?"

The elder wizard shook his head solemnly. "I don't know where they are, and I doubt they need our help. Arthur Kirkland is one of the most powerful wizards I've ever seen. He has probably taken care of it by now."

It was amazing how convincing the old man could be, he noted with distaste. He instinctively looked at the door, scowling at the group he'd been waiting for. "Mr. Honda, a word after class," he warned, gesturing for the group to be in the far back where hopefully they wouldn't cause too much trouble.

After all, Potions was a delicate subject.

And if the classroom exploded, it was coming out of his paycheck.

Once the class was over, he was pleased to know that only three potions had failed miserably. He raised a brow at the people in front of his desk.

"Gentlemen," he drawled. "I need to speak with Mr. Honda alone."

Kiku quickly turned around, shooing his guests away. "Please, just wait outside or head to the commons with the other Gryffindors."

Grumbling, the trio marched out the room. "We'll see you in the commons then," Lovino replied finally, obviously miffed.

Once they were gone, Snape started. "Have you ever met a Ms. Sibyll Trelawney? She is a professor here that you may want to know in the future."

Kiku's brows knit together in confusion. "Ah, no… I haven't heard of her." The Japanese continued avoiding the other's eyes, both frustrating and making the professor proud that he hadn't forgotten his basics yet. "Why do you recommend her?"

Snape sneered slightly. "She is a seer, one who has had a few very important prophecies. She's made yet another one." He let out a sigh, letting his conceited mask fall. "I have reason to believe that you may want to make your intentions clear with the Headmaster."

"What does this have to do with-"

"Mr. Honda," he snapped, "I am not finished yet. You are protecting Potter, aren't you?" When his student remained silent, he smiled. "I thought so. Now then, Dumbledore is doing the same thing-"

"I do not trust that man," Kiku retorted, voice rising. "I am not going to become one of his pawns."

"I'm not asking you to," Severus spat. "It's just that you need to show some sign of loyalty to this or Dumbledore will not hesitate to try to-"

"Just let him know that I cannot guarantee anything as long as Kuro is there," he interrupted coldly. Snape, startled by the other's tone, lost all thoughts of response then and there. The Japanese stared him down, this time with eye contact, and Severus shook lightly.

"I have a feeling you know what happened with the troll. That was him, not me. If I hadn't passed out there, I don't know what could've happened. Kuro could've killed you all just like he has before, and will never hesitate to do. I am protecting Harry Potter- Kuro is what you should be concerned about."

Severus backed away subconsciously as he noted the other's eyes flickering. He grabbed his wand, ready to defend himself in case his student lost it.

"Do you understand?" The Japanese asked, his tone changing again. It seemed like a growl.

Snape's voice froze in his throat when those eyes flickered red and stayed that color.

"I am not that pitiful human's pawn to play with as he sees fit, understood?"

"Mr. Honda," he finally managed dryly. "You know that you can only do so much before your problem grows. Your eyes are red. If you are still there you should practice what I have been teaching you and stop this madness." Severus drew his wand, high up and pointed right at the boy.

Harry waited to talk with Kiku's friends after class, and was happy to see they left the room without the Japanese boy.

He had a few questions to ask.

"Oi, what do you want?" The Turkish man was the first to notice him and the other two members of the golden trio waiting.

Harry took a deep breath, grasping the picture he had acquired long ago in his free hand. "This is Honda's house, right?" Hermione's brows furrowed.

"What? Harry, why do you ha-?"

"Where did you get that from?" Lovino hissed, snatching the photo and looking at it closely. He hadn't actually seen the damage done but he'd seen the house. "Wha- what the fu-" he faltered when he realized a girl was with them- "claw marks?!" The Italian searched the picture as best his could. It was growing increasingly difficult when the two larger men near him tried to do the same thing.

"A few days before Halloween, Kiku got a package and there were all of these photos in it. He ran out the room and Luna missed this one when she was picking them up." The Boy-who-Lived's eyes widened at their reactions. "So, you don't know about this…?"

Herakles looked at him, leaning down to eye level. "Who sent him these?"

He stepped back, not expecting him to get so close. "I do-don't know?" The Greek was actually terrifying now that he was fully awake.

"He-Hey, leave Harry alone," Ron squeaked out, his voice cracking as he tried to defend his friend.

"Oh," Herakles brows slowly knit together as he stepped away. "Those claw marks aren't… cats…" He effortlessly took the photo from the growling Italian's hands, ignoring the Turk's complaints. "They look like… demons?"

Lovino stared at him. "What?"

"I love Kiku… I've learned as much about his culture as I can… Including the strange things. I don't know what kink-"

"Will you shut up!?" Lovino hissed, grabbing his collar forcefully. "This is a school-!"

"Yeah, and we all know Kiku's mine, cat piss."

"Bastard shut it- you aren't helping with anything." Lovino threatened.

Meanwhile, the three preteens were very confused. Lovino's attention finally focused on them and he sent a glare, walking back to the potions classroom, ready to throw the door open when he paused.

It was in that moment of confusion that Herakles and Sadiq walked over quickly, everything oddly silent. The golden trio followed in their wake, mouths almost dropping when they heard Snape and Honda arguing.

"I have a feeling you know what happened with the troll. That was him, not me. If I hadn't passed out there, I don't know what could've happened. Kuro could've killed you all just like he has before, and will never hesitate to do. I am protecting Harry Potter- Kuro is what you should be concerned about." Kiku's voice was dripping with rage, and Harry couldn't understand what he was saying.

"He's protecting me? From what?" Harry leaned closer like the rest of them when they heard muffled footsteps. He felt a chill run up his spine as he remembered what happened with the troll.

Kiku spoke again. "Do you understand?" The footsteps stopped. "I am not that pitiful human's pawn to play with as he sees fit, understood?"

"Mr. Honda, you know that you can only do so much before your problem grows. Your eyes are red. If you are still there you should practice what I have been teaching you and stop this madness."

Was it just Harry or did the Professor sound… panicked? Harry blinked. "Red… Like on Halloween?"

He could hear barely audible gasps from the three adults. "Herakles… Red eyes," Sadiq mumbled, backing away from the door and trying to push the Gryffindors back.

Lovino pulled out his old wand, hand on the door knob. "Hey… Be ready when I open the door… something's not right…"

The Greek nodded, snapping out of his thoughts. "Right."

Japan took a few deep breaths, Snape's words registering somewhere in his thoughts. "I…-" one more deep breath- "am sorry," he finished quietly, hanging his head. "I am very sorry. I should go."

"Mr. Honda-" Severus hesitated. "You shouldn't leave when you are so unstable-"

"All right you bastard! Kiku is coming with us!" A familiar Italian accent flooded the room. Kiku flinched visibly.

"Roma- Lovino-kun, please be quiet, I have a headache-"

"Headache my ass," Turkey said, grabbing his arm and dragging him with him.

The small Japanese student groaned. "Will you three ever stop stalking me?" A flash of irritation hit him, but he felt very… drained, all of a sudden, like he was trying to move through water instead of air and his body felt heavy. He felt even more irritation come at him in waves when he saw it wasn't just his three guests there.

"Darn…"

Lovino noticed how tired the other was first, turning on the Potions master, nostrils flaring. "Did you fucking drug him-?"

Kiku was more focused on looking at the ground instead of the three Gryffindors, pulling away from Turkey, much to Greece's mixed pleasure and irritation.

"No, Nihon… get back to Tur-" he was silenced by Sadiq's glare.

"Shut up before you make things worse," the masked man spat at him, picking Kiku up.

Lovino's shouts were getting louder by the second, and Snape pulled out his wand in defense. "I didn't drug my student. Professor Quirrell might have been willing to do that, but I find it rather unprofessional," he sneered, looking over at the Golden Trio. "You three, detention for interrupting a private conversation."

Ron gapped at him. "Are you serious? We didn't open the door or anything!"

Herakles worked on dragging Lovino away from the professor, having a feeling that he was about to do something very violent if he didn't stop him. He looked at the Gryffindors. "I'll talk with him. Can you three-" Herakles hit Lovino on the back of the head hard enough to knock him out- "take him with Sadiq and Kiku for me?"

Hermione, dumbstruck, nodded mutely, Harry already on it as Ron stared in continued confusion.

Greece looked at the potions master curiously once they were all gone. "You… should try fitting naps into your schedule…"

Severus stared blankly.

"I… suppose that is a… no," Herakles observed. "What happened there?"

The teacher let out a long sigh. "I couldn't tell even if I would. Mr. Honda has proven to be quite the resourceful little-"

"Yeah... that sounds like Kiku…" The taller, statue-like male tilted his head, turning for the doors. "Oh, also… please don't punish those three. If you're trying to… protect the boy… then lashing out at him won't do any good to gain his trust."

"I'm not trying to gain his trust," Snape said. "For this to work, I need him to hate me."

Greece stared.

"… You cared for someone… that is why you are doing this, yes?"

Severus paled. "What are you talking about?" he hissed.

"I… have heard too many of my mother's stories to not… recognize a tragedy when I see one…"

Oh my... Something is terribly wrong...

And now Harry knows...
