(A/N: Welcome back! Sorry this took so long! BUSY! T-T
The long awaited family/friend interviews. Gooooooo~)
RHYMER WELLWOOD
DISTRICT TWO
Wild blue strobe lights and eerily intense music paint the empty dark air, drawing forth the crowded auditorium's excited cacophony of screaming, cheering, and a little bit of booing, from those not too fond of Rhymer. Cold, hard, grey and scarred stone make up those four words floating on the dark screens above, and slowly, an image of Rhymer in her cybernetic Level 2 suit fades in behind the words.
One by one, the screens begin to depict Rhymer's various highlights in each of the three levels that have currently been played through. Level 1's highlights include Rhymer's vicious kick to the chest that sent Meaghen from District Five tumbling into the dark abyss that led into Level 2. A brief moment is shown of all of the initial members of the Career Pack, Agate, Marie, Jet, Rhymer and Bronwyn, in a loose huddle discussing what should be done about the Anti-Pack.
The final Level 1 scenes are action shots of Rhymer ducking and weaving with impeccable reaction time, dodging Kyrain and Hunter's assaults as they start to clear the platform of all of the other tributes left, until it's just them and her. Finally, there comes the scene where Rhymer holds her breath and dives off the edge of the shrunken platform into Level 2.
Level 2's first scene depicts the awkward reintroduction of Rhymer and Jet after Rhymer flubs a sneak attack, followed by several quick scenes from the last leg, when the arena transformed. It starts with Rhymer's skillful skip across the floating block obstacles and her rapid ascent up the inside of the massive ziggurat the arena had become.
Rhymer's darkest scenes are from Level 3. There's the empty despondence on her face as she lays curled up on the floor and reminisces about her and Alto. There's the look of terror on her face as her, Jet, Kyrain, and Ebony all coalesce into an unspoken partnership to take on the fearsome shambling corpses of the fallen Sorrel and Kern. There's the mania in her eyes as she fixates on Paisley during the epic clash between the Career Pack and the Anti-Pack, culminating in Aylau's heroic sacrifice to cripple Rhymer's offense and give Paisley the chance to escape. And finally, the twisted expression of defeat and sorrow on her face as she curls up next to an escape pod. The last words she said in Level 3 are included:
"I'm all alone… Alto, I'm scared. I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm so scared… I... I promised I'd win this for us. And I'm gonna. But it's hard, Alto. I'm all alone and I have no weapon and there are six others left to kill... I need help. Please help me through this, Alto."
The screen cuts to black, and Alto's name echoes out, slowly softening before it all goes silent again. It doesn't last long. Moments later, Copper Keel emerges from behind a pillar upstage, waving to the audience as they roar in approval at his presence.
"Welcome, one and all!" His attractive voice rings out through all the room, aided by microphone. "Welcome to the celebration of the last leg of the 175th Annual Hunger Games!"
Another round of roaring applause fills the air, and Copper's bright silver eyes crinkle at the corners as he smiles. He looks a tad wearier than usual. Most of Panem must be weary after the horror feature that was Level 3.
"What you have just seen are the highlights of one of six of the most powerful young people in the world this year. Rhymer Wellwood has survived incredible odds with her amazing reflexes and monstrous resolve to win. Certainly, she does District Two proud. We begin today with an interview with young Rhymer Wellwood's family, to get their view on what's been going on in the Games."
As the applause rouses up again, all the screens shift to a different view, one of District Two itself, or at least, its Justice Building. The entire structure is covered from every angle, but the largest screen shows the very front of the building, where a few people are seated, gazing into a camera.
"Can you hear us, ladies and gentlemen?" Copper asks the largest camera. There's a second's delay before the people seated onscreen begin to nod. "Would you mind telling us who you are?"
The man seated in the center of the group speaks. He clears his throat and adjust the collar of his buttoned-up shirt. His hair is messy brown and he has a very strong, square face covered in stubble. His piercing brown eyes focus on the camera in front of them. "My name is Titus Wellwood. This here is my wife, Wren, and my five other wonderful children. Introduce yourselves."
Wren, whom Rhymer looks exactly like, smiles and waves at the camera. From oldest to youngest, the children begin to speak. Most of them except for the youngest son look like their father. The youngest son has inexplicable platinum-colored hair. Rhymer seems to have been the only child to take after her mother. They introduce themselves in order as Delta, Theta, Baron, Indigo, and Cordo.
"Excellent! Wonderful to make your acquaintances! How have you liked the Games so far?"
This delay is longer, as the members of the family all begin to look at each other. Wren's eyes even drift worriedly off-stage for a moment before they look back at the camera to answer.
"It's been… a bit hard to watch at times," Wren starts. "But we keep watching, just to see Rhymer persevere. We're her biggest fans, of course, and we can't wait to see her come home victorious. We know she has it in her."
"Some of the stuff she's been through…" Delta picks up, sighing. "It's tough, and we know she's going through a lot of crap right now, but yeah. We know she can do it."
Copper clasps his hands together and nods. "Titus," he starts. Rhymer's father's eyebrows rise attentively. "If you could give any advice to your daughter right this moment, what would it be?"
Titus's eyebrows scrunch together, and he appears in deep thought for a moment before nodding. "I'd tell her not to lose focus. I'd tell her the worst isn't over, and her hardest trials have begun. People and families like to lie to their District Two tributes and tell them that it's easy because we have 38% of the grand total of Victors over all 175 Games. Over twelve competing Districts, that's a lot. But our tributes have to know that it's not easy. Rhymer works better under pressure. Her instincts are her greatest strength. If she keeps on keeping on, she'll win, there's no doubt."
The audience, who had been listening with bated breath, breaks into a storm of cheering and applause when Titus concludes, and he smirks slightly.
"I'd like to speak with one of the children for a moment. Theta, darling, how old are you?" Copper inquires. Theta's thin eyebrows rise, and she rubs one tan arm before answering.
"I'll be sixteen next year."
"Excellent, excellent. Now, since you're very much likely enrolled in the Johansenn Academy, and the oldest enrolled, I assume, since Delta looks a bit older than eighteen, I feel you might be the best person to ask this question to."
Theta purses her lips and nods, ready to answer.
"Now, do you think it was unfair that the Academy Programmers chose Rhymer to compete in the Games this year instead of honing her skills, sharpening her up to compete next year?"
Theta thinks for a moment, her brows furrowing in the same manner as her father's. "Um… Well, kinda. Honestly, I was shocked that they picked her at all. From what Rhymer was telling me when she was still here, the Programmers who were teaching her didn't like her too much. I dunno what happened, but… I guess they saw something in Rhymer they thought they needed now, like for the Quell."
Baron raises his hand and starts to speak. Several years younger than Theta or Delta, his voice is still high and child-like. "I heard they only pick tributes younger than eighteen when they're really really really better than everybody else. I think they thought Rhymer was more awesome that all the other eighteeners!"
Copper and the audience chuckles and applauds the two children. The host clears his throat before moving on to the next question. "Now, Wren and Titus, I know you're the best people to ask this question to. If you remember, at the end of Level 3, after Rhymer arrived at the escape pods, she pretty much broke down for a moment. She just heard that an ally died, the Career Pack's dismantled, everything's going wrong. We saw that. But we also heard some interesting things from Rhymer.
"She mentioned her mentor a lot. Alto Herriot, you know of him. She said that she…" There, a voiceover of Rhymer repeating the words she said in Level 3, 'promised I would win for us'. "Us, she said,"
Titus and Wren both adopt curious, perturbed looks. Copper notes this and continues. "What do you think this implies?"
Titus speaks up first. "Well, I hope it doesn't imply that punk is messing around with my daughter."
A simultaneous juicy 'Ooooooooh~' comes forth from the audience. Wren looks over at her husband, and the children shift awkwardly, except for the youngest two boys, who blink curiously.
Copper nods. "So, you would not approve of Rhymer being romantically involved with Alto Herriot?"
Titus frowns. "She's been obsessed with Alto Herriot since before he won. If I could have been around to keep them away from each other, I would have. It'd have been far too easy for him to take advantage of her and get into her head. She doesn't need distractions in the Hunger Games."
"It could be motivation to be with him that's driving her. Wren, what do you think?"
Rhymer's mother frowns and shakes her head. "Sure, she could be motivated now, but what if she wins, and it was all a lie? It wouldn't be the first time a Victor had his or her feelings taken advantage of. I'm just worried that he'll hurt her."
The audience mumbles at the juicy developments, and Copper nods his head. "Well, your daughter certainly is a strong young woman. I'm certain that whatever comes forth, she'll be fine. Speaking of strength and being fine, how do you think she will hold up in Level 4, with no more allies and no weapons?"
Delta speaks up. "She'll be alright. It might be expensive, but we've all agreed that if she's in need of something particular, we'll provide, if she can't find it herself. There's only six people left, so even if she didn't run out of allies, she'd have to split up with them about now anyway."
"So, you don't see any other allies in her future?" Copper inquires.
Delta shakes her head. "Absolutely not. Look who's left. Kyrain betrayed her and killed Jet, Bronwyn betrayed her to go with Hunter. She's enemies with the Eight girl. All that's left is the kid from Thirteen, and he's just a coward, so…" A few of Jinstance's fans boo from the crowd. Delta doesn't seem to take notice. "Rhymer's better off on her own at this point."
Copper folds his hands in front of him. "Let's talk about Kyrain for a second. He's an absolute monster, and he's proven nearly unstoppable the entire Games. The only Tribute who's managed to stand up to Kyrain and wound him is now dead. If the situation arises, and Kyrain and Rhymer were to meet in battle…"
Copper stops a moment to let his scenario sink in. Graven looks appear on the faces of Rhymer's family, and the auditorium is silent. Copper glances off-stage at one of the cameras. Everyone is watching, and everyone is listening, including the Gamemakers.
"If such a situation were to come about, do you think Rhymer would be able to defeat him on her own?"
Everyone on the screen is silent for a long moment. The young boy Indigo speaks up, where no one else will.
"Yeah, of course! Rhymer's the best fighter in the world! They've never been in a fair fight, but if they were, Rhymer would beat him up for sure!"
There's some applause, but Rhymer's fans have become so unnerved at the thought of their pick to win going up against that monster that they are mostly silent.
"My last question to you all," Copper says. "Of course, you're all pulling for Rhymer to win. Who would you have as a runner-up?"
Copper worded this question carefully. He was told to ask this to all of the familes that were being interviewed for this part of the Games. It was actually a question asking who would they want the Victor to be, if their tribute didn't win, but of course, Copper could not ask that directly.
Titus scratches the back of his head. "That kid from Four, Hunter. Besides Rhymer, he's the toughest tribute out there that deserves to win. Kyrain deserves to be put down like the animal he is."
Wren and Theta nod their heads in agreement. Copper applauds, along with the rest of the audience. "Thank you so much for your time! The family of Rhymer Wellwood, from District Two, everyone!"
There's a roaring applause of finality as the cameras all cut to black again. The lights go down, and the sound of rumbling waves begin to play before the central screen is suddenly flooded by a crashing tide. The water churns, then slowly drains to reveal these words on the screen, along with her image behind them:
BRONWYN LOCKHART
DISTRICT FOUR
The strobe lights go from bright blue to bright green as clips of Bronwyn's victories in the Games begin to play out. Starting at Level 1, where she easily dispatched Paisley with a well-thrown javelin and slid under the swing of Ebony's axe. The moment is shown when Hunter and Bronwyn lock eyes, and instead of chucking a javelin at him, she flings it across the field toward Thorne from Seven.
Level 2 shows the intense moment when Bronwyn and Agate confront each other, when he asks her, "Are you a Career or not?" The next scene is Bronwyn's revenge, when she shoots out Agate's armor with Trexler's gun to give Tixxie the finishing blow. Her and Hunter's cut-short reunion is showed next, finally concluding her Level 2 journey with her shooting at Rhymer and Jet, severing her ties to the Career Pack once and for all.
The music lulls as the scene of Bronwyn in the shower at the start of Level 3 plays out, but a scare chord immediately precedes the first metallic thumping that gets Bronwyn's attention. The audience jumps, and even Copper starts a little, then everyone freaks out for a few moments as a remixed shriek warbles and stutters on the screen as images flicker between Bronwyn desperately trying to escape the room with her suit and close-ups of Deader Ariana's mutilated face.
The screen cuts to black, with only a small hum left, as the audience recovers. Action starts up almost immediately, though, as Bronwyn's next scene is shown with her trying to escape Deader Agate's vengeful advances. The scene ends at her getting hit in the back with a bolt of lightning, then it flashes and goes black again, once again with just the small hum remaining. The next scene shows Hunter and Bronwyn sitting silently beside each other on the train, the scene quaint, with no music, and no warning.
CRAAASH!
Another scare chord spikes the air as the train suddenly crumples, and Hunter and Bronwyn are thrown from their seats. As everything around them begins to smoke, the images begin to rapidly shift between then and when Hunter and Bronwyn are teetering on the edge of destruction, with the magnetic features of Hunter's Megaweapon trident the only thing saving them from the roar of the vacuum of space. There's another cut to black, with no music, showing that the clip is over. The audience applauds loudly, impressed by all the video effects. Copper himself chuckles loudly, equally impressed.
"Ah, Bronwyn Lockhart! If ever there was a dramatic tribute, it's definitely this one. Quite a bit of drama surrounded Bronwyn before and during the Games, and now we're about to get the point of view on this drama from Bronwyn's family themselves!"
On cue, cheers and screams from Bronwyn's fanbase rise to the occasion as the cameras go up and two people are shown seated in a room within the District Four Justice Building. The middle-aged man has a strong appearance, with extremely dark hair and sharp sea-green eyes. The woman beside him looks much like Bronwyn does, with straight bronze hair and brighter green eyes. Her belly is very visibly swollen, and she looks to be expecting within the month, most likely.
"Hello, you two!" Copper calls to them. "All of Panem is watching live right now! Would you like to introduce yourselves to us?"
Bronwyn's father nods. "My name is Atticus, and this is my wife, River, and our son, David. As you can see, he's a little shy right now so I don't think he'll be making an appearance right now."
Atticus smirks as he pats his wife's belly. River fights back a laugh, her eyes slowly drifting off to the side for a moment before quickly focusing back on the camera.
The audience, Copper included, laughs out loud at the joke, before Copper clears his throat and continues. "Your daughter has been doing well in the Games, thus far! A few close calls, but she's had a very impressive run! How do you feel about some of the decisions she made over the course of the Games?"
River furls her brows. "Mm… Can you elaborate?"
Copper nods. "Of course! There was her decision not to attack Hunter in Level 1, her betrayal of Agate, and then the rest of the Careers in Level 2, her insistence on giving Hunter the Megaweapon instead of seizing it for herself in Level 3… Things like that."
Atticus's brows arch. "She's certainly infatuated with that boy, it seems."
River nods. "I think that's what's driving her right now, and I really hope she snaps out of it soon."
The audience begins to murmur and 'Ooooh.' Again. Copper nods his head. "So, how do you two really feel about Bronwyn and Hunter's relationship."
Atticus leans forward in his seat, fingers interlocked, as if in deep focus. "Well… We've been listening. We heard what Rhymer Wellwood's father said about his daughter's relationship with her mentor, and I feel almost the same way. It's different because Bronwyn isn't involved with someone outside the Games. She's involved with another tribute. If Rhymer's interest betrays her, her heart will be crushed, at the least. If Bronwyn's interest betrays her, she'll die. So, no, I don't feel very good about my daughter's relationship with Hunter."
"So, you think he'll be a detriment to her survival?" Copper says.
River frowns and nods. "It's time for her to break it off with Hunter. There are only six tributes left in the Games. There's no room for allies. He's either going to kill her or get her killed."
The 'Huntwyn' shippers, as they call themselves, immediately begin to boo and hiss before River is even finished. The furl of her brows as she continues implies she hears them, but is trying not to pay them mind.
"You don't have confidence that she can stand up to Hunter, if the situation arises when it's just him and her that remain?" Copper asks
"Hey, hey, hey," River says, her expression turning angry. "Don't do that; that's not what I was implying."
Copper raises his hands. "My apologies. But how do you feel about that situation?"
Atticus speaks up again. "Bronwyn is a smart girl. She knows that now's the time to sever her ties and put her heart into winning. There are other boys back here at home that she'll be able to pick from once she wins. Survival is the most important thing. She knows that, and she'll come out on top."
Some light applause, and Copper continues. "Atticus, this question is for you. Rumor has it that you've been preparing Bronwyn for the Games. Did you… know that she was going to be Reaped?"
There's a suddenly rumbling murmur from the crowd. Clearly, they weren't expecting such a question from Copper. Neither were Atticus or River. Bronwyn's father's eyes turn cold and he leans forward in his seat.
"Copper, what the hell kind of question is that?"
The host raises his hands defensively. "It's the question I was asked to ask. Rumors are circulating that you were training Bronwyn for the Games. Is that true? Rare is there a skilled tribute from District Four, let alone one that joins the Careers. At least these days."
Atticus closes his eyes. "Yes, I was preparing Bronwyn to be able to survive in the Games in case she was Reaped. I had no idea she was going to be Reaped; that's ludicrous. Who told you to ask that question to me?"
Copper glances off-stage for a moment, so quickly that Atticus and River miss it. "I'm not allowed to say, unfortunately, however, she is very official and well-meaning, I know that much."
Atticus closes his eyes and sighs. "Alright, next question."
Copper adjusts his tie and clears his throat. "Based on what you've said, you believe Bronwyn has it in her to sever her ties with Hunter in order to win. If it came down to just the two of them…"
"She has the advantage. Unless she somehow messes up and loses her gun, she could snipe the Victory away without him even knowing."
More opposition from the Huntwyn corner. Copper crosses his arms, a small amused smirk crossing his face as it's revealed that none of the parents, so far, have approved of the juicy romances that developed over the Games, at least the ones still alive. To be expected, as the end of the Games is nearing.
"Lastly, you two, out of the six remaining tributes in the Games, who would be your runner-up?"
Atticus looks at River, who thinks for a moment. "Either… Well, for me, either Hunter or Paisley from Eight. Both of them deserve to win. Even though I'm worried about my daughter in regards to him, Hunter's a very strong tribute. Paisley is a sweetheart, to me. She's done so much for the younger tributes, in spite of herself. She deserves runner-up."
"Excellent, excellent! Thank you both for your time; that's all we have! District Four's Atticus and River Lockhart!"
Applause rises from the crowd again as the cameras cut to black and quickly begin the next video introduction. There's rumbling thunder in the background, and occasionally, the screen flashes white as streaks of lightning fall. Eventually, a huge lightning storm collapses on the screen, and a huge explosion paints the entire screen white. When it clears, these words, made from lightning, glow brightly on the screen.
HUNTER RIVERSON
DISTRICT FOUR
Hunter's shining moments in the Game begin at the very end of Level 1, showing his power struggle with the monstrous Kyrain, and actually holding out, up until the moment he's not, and the tan titan shoves him into the abyss. Under intense music, the next scene is shown of Hunter in Level 2, perched on top of a tower of blocks with his glowing trident, the camera view revolving around him. Both scenes do a good job of capturing his strength and strong profile.
His last scene from Level 2 shows his reaction to the entirety of the arena transforming into an imposing temple, the last leg of that race for survival. Level 3's scenes begin with Hunter's first encounter with Bronwyn since the end of Level 2, fighting off the electric beastly remains of Agate. The critical moment of the fight is shown, when Hunter uses his trident and himself as a lightning rod to absorb an attack and make an opening, then lunges and tears his head off with the prongs.
The next scene shows Hunter immediately after, admiring his new impressive Megaweapon with Bronwyn beside him. The music cuts as the final scenes of Hunter's montage shows him and Bronwyn struggling to use the magnetic properties of his trident, to fight off the ravenous vacuum attempting to suck them into the blackness of death with Trexler, Tixxie, and the train she sabotaged. There's a sudden and desperate magnetic burst of power, and Hunter and Bronwyn go flying away from the vacuum, down the hall. He pants as he pulls his pale, still partner through an automatic door, closing them away from the vacuum. And the final moments of Hunter's montage shows him standing over the sealed escape pod that Bronwyn has been set into. The camera cuts to black, and his determined last words in Level 3 are heard:
"Bronwyn… I'll find you."
The audience erupts in the most incredible applause yet, most of them on their feet. The Huntwyn shippers go absolutely wild. Copper chuckles at the audience, starting to speak.
"It's been a while since a District Four tribute has made it to the final leg of the Games. It's been an even longer while since both District Four tributes have done so. But against all odds, these two powerful tributes have stuck to their guns… and tridents, and persevered. We spoke with the family of one half of this battle couple on the screen there, but will you believe that we were able to get Hunter's father, Roland Riverson here today?
Immediately, everyone starts to go crazy again, and Copper looks off-stage, opposite the direction he glanced when asking Atticus about the touchy controversy. He makes a gesture for someone to come, and a Peacekeeper comes onto the stage, wheeling a brittle-looking man in front of him. Roland looks out over the audience, not seeming to mind the loudness in his ear. He nods at Copper and reaches out to shake his hand when offered.
"Good to see you, Roland. You realize you're making history, yes? You're the first ever in-person family interview ever conducted in the Hunger Games!"
Roland arches his brows and nods. "Neat. I get paid for this?"
Copper, and the rest of the audience, begins to laugh at the wheelchair-bound man's words. Roland blinks. "I'm serious." Even more thunderous applause follows.
Copper pats Roland on the shoulder as his laughter dies out. "You're a funny man, Roland! What have you thought of the Games so far?"
He shrugs. "Definitely not boring. Hunter's doing pretty well, and that's all that really matters to me. Watching all that other drama gets a little old quickly, at least to me, but I'm guessing it's quite entertaining to some others."
"So, tell me a little about yourself, Roland. You're suffering from…"
"Abdominal cancer," the middle-aged man starts, nodding. "A while back, I was suffering from a broken heart, but my immune system took care of that quickly. As did Hunter's. His ma left when he was nine, he blamed himself. Typical divorced child syndrome, as I call it.
Copper nods, listening intently. The auditorium is hushed with intense interest. Hunter is by far the most mysterious tribute still alive, and the fans are eating up every little detail.
"Are you hoping the money from Hunter's Victory will help treat your cancer?" Copper asks, to which Roland chuckles.
"Dumb kid probably would waste that money on me," he starts in a joking tone. "Hunter can do whatever he wants with his money. Though it'd be nice to walk again, I can't expect or demand anything from him. I've lived my life and made my mistakes. Prolonging it won't do anyone good, especially not him."
"Tell me, Roland, were you expecting Hunter to discover a relationship in the Hunger Games of all places? You likely heard it yourself when I interviewed Hunter just a few days ago: he's got a little bit of a thing for his District partner."
"Few days? Feels like it's been a few months…" Roland runs his hand down his face before answering. "If ever there was a worst place to find love, it's in the Hunger Games, for sure. I was not expecting Hunter to come out with that, especially not on television, in front of literally everyone. As you heard, you're not a very talkative person."
Roland chuckles, and the rest of the audience laughs as well.
"He's not that good with girls, either. Seemed that way, at least. Whatever happened before the Games really changed him."
Copper nods slowly, looking out at the audience, still entranced and receptive. "Tell me your thoughts about this 'Huntwyn' craze going around the Capitol."
Of course, there are some hoots and cheers, but they quickly quiet down. Roland cocks a brow. "The hell's a 'Huntwyn'?"
Copper grins. "It's what all the young Capitol girls are calling the relationship between Hunter and Bronwyn. Huntwyn, you see?"
"Aaaah. I don't get it," Roland responds flatly.
"Their relationship?"
"No, not that. Why people feel it's necessary to tack cutesy names on everything. Eh… Thus far, I've been cheering the two of them on. Now I'm starting to share the concerns of Bronwyn's family. If it comes down to the two of them… anything could happen."
"Mm," Copper hums, nodding. "Tensions rise, especially for alliances, when it's cut close to so few tributes. This is especially true for Hunter, who's acquired the very rare Megaweapon power-up and is now at an advantage over many, if not all of the remaining tributes. Kyrain is questionable. Certainly, he has an advantage over Bronwyn. Do you think he's capable of going off on his own?"
"Is he capable? Of course. Will he? Nah…" Roland says, making a face and shaking his head. "He's loyal to Bronwyn. We heard it there, he promised he'd find her. Hunter doesn't make many promises, but when he does, he keeps them."
Copper nods his head. "You seem to know a lot about this kid, Roland. It's almost like he's your son!"
This gets a chuckle out of the feeble man, as well as the audience. "Almost, Copper. Almost."
"Roland, this is going to be my last question to you. Throughout the course of the Games, several attempts have been made to kill Kyrain, all of them ultimately unsuccessful. Out of all of the remaining tributes that are alive, I think we're all in agreement that Hunter has the best chance right now of defeating him."
The entire audience is so silent, the dropping of a pen could be heard loud and clear. Roland slowly nods his head for Copper to continue.
"What are your thoughts, Roland? Do you think that, if they meet again, Hunter will be the one to defeat Kyrain Venn from District Ten?"
Roland's answer is immediate and without hesitation: "Yep."
The murmuring begins immediately, and Copper raises his brows. "Continue. Why do you think so?"
Roland looks up at Copper for a long moment. "That titan may be Kyrain Venn, but my son is Hunter Riverson. What more do I have to say?"
It takes a few moments. It almost seems like it's not going to happen, but after several moments, the entire audience is on its feet, cheering loudly. Kyrain's name has produced nothing but dread and hopelessness since Jet's death, but now, if only for a moment, those watching the Games and even now at the interviews, have hope.
(A/N: First half of the family interviews: DONE!
Second half: Will be here soooooon. Hopefully, sooner than a month after this update, but with my suffocating schedule, I don't even know anymore. T-T
Review, guys! If there's any more questions you have that you'd like to see answered by Kyrain, Paisley, or Jinstance's friends/family, leave them in the review!
May all your Hearts beat with Calamity~ Till next time! :D)
