Chapter 52

Wally whipped around quickly; ready to fight the person who had touched him. He stopped his fist right before it hit the stupid grinning face of James Jesse.

"James!? Have you been waiting all day or something?"

The clown themed rogue laughed, pushing the still hovering fist away from his face.

"Yeah, and I have to say your reflexes are getting better fighting wise since you first attacked the base."

Wally let his hand drop and looked around a little panicked; there were kids everywhere and now there was a lead member of the rogue's gallery at their school.

"James, you can't be here! You could get caught, or something!"

James only laughed and tried to sling his arm around the shorter boy; but failed miserably when he realized Wally was still a good deal shorter than him.

"It will be fine, besides I have a bigger threat chasing me."

James looked around warily, before pulling Wally farther behind the building. The smaller speedster's sight of the car pool lane blocked now by the brick.

"Who?"

"Digger and Cold; got kicked into the river after the whole thing with you and they were the ones to pull me out. They aren't too happy with me helping you, Baby Flash."

"Stop calling me Baby Flash that is the most stupidest side kick name I have ever heard."

The nine year old pouted, but looked around warily as well as if the Cold gun wielding villain and the Aussie would appear.

"What do you want me to do about it?"

James shifted, "Think I could hide with you for a bit…till they cool off?" James chuckled a little at something he found funny in his head, looking at Wally intently.

"Uh…I guess…but…"

A thought crossed Wally's mind.

"How did you even know I would be here?"

James laughed, "A magician never reveals his secrets. Now come on I want to go now before the pick up my trail!"

The clown grabbed his arm and started to drag him farther away from the car pool and his uncle. The small speedster seemed to come to his senses at that moment and pulled his arm away.

"I can't just go and leave! My uncle is waiting for me in the carpool lane. If I go missing again, I can guarantee you that I will never become a real super hero or be allowed out of their sight ever again!"

James stopped running and thought about it.

"Well then, we can always do the second plan!"

"What second plan?"

Barry glanced one more time in the mirror at the smiling, neon haired kid and his nephew. James looked like he was having the time of his life staring out the window and Wally looked very confused.

The scientist wasn't even sure why he had let the prankster into his car in the first place when he came running up with Wally in tow.

Thinking about it again, James had jumped into the car first and pulled Wally in and then over whelmed him in the normal James way with questions that only could be answered by the scientist. Even as a speedster James was just too unexpected to keep up with.

Now that the senior speedster had caught up with the situation he was just driving around till they got to a pizza place farther away from the rogue hide out to drop James Jesse off at.

"There is the first place I robbed from!"

James pointed happily out the window at the joke store; a big proud grin on his face.

"I was only ten, and already I was embracing my true passion?"

"Stealing?"

Wally's voice piped up a little confused.

"No, silly, pranking. The art of a good prank or joke is sometimes expensive but if you makes something with the smaller items such as things from a joke store then you are a true prankster!"

Wally's freckled face only showed confusion before he looked at his uncle as if pleading with an apology.

If it wasn't for the fact that the biggest blabber mouth of the rogues knew his identity Barry would have laughed at the situation. His nephew and James Jesse; first a team to save him and now friends in a weird way.

Barry took away his gaze from his nephew and focused on the road again; only to find they were only five minutes away from the house. He had driven right past the place he was going to drop James off.

"Iris is going to kill us..."

Iris did indeed have a nice private, and loud, conversation with both of her boys when they got home with a neon haired rogue and a guilty looking faces.

James was currently sitting in the living room, doodling on paper he found with a pen he always carried.

"We can't just kick him out that would be rude."

Iris looked at her nephew with a sigh.

"Wally, I am more concerned that one of your uncle's villains is sitting in my sitting room drawing like a five year old."

"Iris, he is harmless in all sense. He is just avoiding some people give him time and he will be out of here quickly. Trust me; I'll talk to him."

Barry made to leave the kitchen but James burst in.

"I did it, Baby Flash!"

James ran over to Wally and showed him his doodle proudly.

"Please stop calling me that, James!"

The Trickster seemed to shrug it off as he showed him his drawing.

"I was thinking, since you are a Flash and all, you are going to need like a bright colored suit like all you seem to like. Piper thinks it is because you like the blur of colors."

He looked up at the other two people in the kitchen; Iris's lips were pursed with a little bit of disapproval and Barry shrugged as if to say 'It was true.'

James took Barry's mannerism as a reason to continue and shoved the paper into the younger red head's hands.

"So I started doodling and coloring and I thought first to just five you a mini Flash suit but that seemed silly since you don't like being called Baby Flash so Mini-Flash may also be out."

"It is."

James grinned.

"Exactly so I started working on reversing the color but that Thwane guy had that already taken and then I realized you liked your goggles a lot so you really didn't need a cowl so…well…I designed most of the rogue's costumes and all so I wanted to do this for you."

Wally looked at the red and yellow sketch on the paper and tilted his head looking at it; a goofy smile playing onto his face. It was more like a five year old drew it but the design was still clear.

He looked up at his aunt as his uncle took the paper with a chuckle.

"Seems like all we are missing is a name now, kid."

Wally's eyes got bigger as he looked at his aunt.

"Can't James stay please?"

It was like begging a parent to keep a stray cat; and with the added combination of the 'stray's' eyes and her husband's Iris folded.

"I'll get dinner ready."

A/N: So next chapter should be the end. A small epilogue; I can't believe we got this far! Almost a year of this story and it is ready to be closed. I love you all and thank you for being so loyal to Wally.
