Ollie walked along the beach with Lachlan. "So are you gonna go to tell me what happened with you and Kyle or not?" she asked him suddenly, sick of the silence.
"I don't actually know what his problem with me is!" Lachlan said hotly, his eyes going wide.
"You must know something!" Ollie sighed in defeat. "You must!"
"Ollie! I would tell you if I knew what his problem with me was, okay?" Lachlan said firmly, clearly ending the conversation. Ollie grumbled something along the lines of 'I'll just find out myself'.
"Casey, what do you know about Mullens?" Ollie said loudly, storming into the living room.
"Huh?" Casey frowned, as he gave Ellah a shoulder massage.
"Mullens," Ollie repeated.
"Ollie, don't worry about it!" Ellah exclaimed. "Brax will let Lachlan in the house, if I were you I'd just forget about it."
"Casey, please!" Ollie pleaded, ignoring Ellah's advice. Casey shrugged.
"Ollie, I'm sorry, I can't help you. I don't know anything about Mullens, I left school before he even arrived."
"He goes to SCHOOL?" Ollie gasped. "Oh, good. That means I can sort it out myself."
Ollie held up her school map the wrong way round. She was no doubt very confused and very lost. She hated getting used to a new school but she would rather stay in a new school than go back home and live with her brothers and mad parents. She turned a corner into a quiet hallway – yep she was lost. She carried on walking until she heard quiet argument somewhere. She crept toward the people – hoping that they could show her where she was meant to be, but as she got closer she realised that this wasn't the sort of argument she wanted to be interrupting. "Please, Mullo, leave me alone," came a female voice, sounding desperate and seriously scared. Ollie felt her heart stop beating. She automatically made connections with the name 'Mullo' and the name 'Mullens'.
"Shut up," Mullo's sharp voice came through.
"Please," the girl began to sob.
"Mullo, what are you doing?" came Lachlan's hissed voice.
"Just help me undress her," Mullo grumbled, ignoring the girl's panicked squeals of protest. Ollie gasped in horror which was louder than she thought it was going to be, so Mullo heard her. His footsteps came closer to where Ollie was hiding behind a cluster of lockers. Ollie held her breath in nervousness, sweat beginning to roll down her forehead, when suddenly a teacher's voice interrupted.
"MULLENS, LACHLAN, SOPHIE. Back to class please!" she called out. Ollie breathed out slowly in relief and crawled across the polished school floor quickly, making her way into the girls bathroom and locking herself in a cubicle. She reached into her pocket and dialled Brax's number, her hands shaking. He picked up almost immediately.
"Ollie? Aren't you supposed to be in school?" Brax frowned into the phone as he flicked through a Mothercare magazine with Skyler, Ellah and Bianca round their coffee table.
"B-Brax, please come and pick me up," Ollie whispered into the phone, her voice breaking slightly.
"What? Where are you?" Brax asked quickly, hating how scared Ollie sounded.
"I'm in school but I wanna go home," Ollie hiccupped, her face already wet from tears. "Please, Brax."
"Yeah I'm on my way, just hang on in there okay?" Brax rushed, standing up immediately. "Don't move."
"Alright," Ollie said shakily, hanging up.
"What's going on?" Skyler asked Brax, circling a cot in the catalogue.
"Ollie wants me to pick her up from school. She sounded pretty distressed," Brax muttered, already halfway to the door.
"What happened?" Bianca gasped, biting her lip.
"I don't know but call Kyle and get him over here, I'll be back in a second," Brax called before leaving the house. Skyler stared at Ellah and Bianca in shock.
"Do you think it was that Mullens guy that Kyle was warning her about?" Skyler hissed.
"Don't know, I guess we'll find out," Ellah mumbled nervously, dialling Kyle's number.
Brax walked through the school office and bumped into Natalie. "Brax? What are you doing here?" she frowned.
"I'm here to pick up Ollie," Brax told her.
"Ollie? Who told you to do that?"
"Ollie did, now can I get her and go?"
"No, Brax, there are procedures that we need to go through first," Natalie interrupted, folding her arms.
"Yeah well she sounded pretty upset when she called me so maybe we can just skip the procedures and save them for later," Brax suggested sarcastically, walking past Natalie in attempt to find Ollie. Natalie rolled her eyes and rushed after him. Ollie, meanwhile, had locked herself in the store cupboard, and Brax heard her sniffling. He knocked on the door.
"Ollie? Open up," he said quietly. Ollie opened the door and Brax was taken aback by seeing her red rimmed eyes and tear streaked face. She rushed into his arms and hugged him, which took Brax by surprise but he hugged her back, rubbing circles on her back. Ollie started hyperventilating.
"Mullo, he was abusing some girl and Lachlan was going to help him," she gasped.
"What?" Natalie blinked. "How do you know?"
"Right enough questions for now, let's go, thanks for your help," Brax said loudly, gently steering Ollie toward the exit.
Once they got into the house, everyone rushed to the door. "Ollie what was the big emergency?" Ellah asked Ollie.
"I think I understand why Kyle warned me about Lachlan," Ollie said quietly. "I heard him talking about r-r-" Ollie couldn't continue. Kyle suddenly rushed to the door.
"Ollie? Are you okay?" he asked quickly, gently leading Ollie into the house by her hands.
"Kyle, I'm so sorry, I should've listened to you," Ollie shook her head in tears. "I am so sorry."
"Don't apologize," Brax said quietly.
"But I would like you tell us what happened," Skyler asked tenderly, touching Ollie's shoulder.
"I overheard Mullens telling a girl to shut up, she was crying, and then he told Lachlan to help take her c-c-c-clothes off," Ollie cried. "So IMAGINE what Lachlan could do to me."
"He's not gonna touch you, Ollie," Bianca consoled her. "Maybe you caught the wrong thing?"
"No, Bianca, I definitely know what I heard," Ollie dismissed the idea.
"Ollie, I really don't care what you heard, we're not gonna let Lachlan anywhere near you," Kyle muttered into her ear, rubbing her shoulder. Ellah sighed and sat down next to Ollie.
"So what do we do now?" she asked Bianca, being the vice principal of the school after all.
"We have to talk to the girl that Mullens was supposedly...assulting. Ollie, can you remember her name?"
"I think...it was Sophie," Ollie stuttered. "I don't know, I can't remember really...I think it was..."
"Calm down," Kyle muttered. He had to do something about it.
"We'll sort it out," Brax promised.
"Daddy instincts kicking in again," Skyler smiled slightly, lifting the tense mood as everyone gave a light chuckle.
this is for guest who wanted the chapters to be longer. Just one thing, though guys, if the chapters have to be longer then the story will probably end quicker and the chapters will take a lot longer to come through. That's why I leave them the length they are. So tell me if you prefer it this way, but the chapters could take nearly a week at a time to come through because of my 3 other fanfics PLUS my YouTube imagines on Tumblr AND my Harry Styles fanfic AND my One Direction imagine stuff its just a lot to do!
ANYWAY. LOVE YOU ALL.
