A/N: SunflowersAndHoney, someone else had suggested the trophy idea way back so it was def long overdue. I Should be studying for a Statistics test I have tomorrow, but I wanted to get this down before I lost all inspiration and got into study mode. Procastination is a bitch. Anywho, enjoy!

"Dom you're in love and shit, right?" Leon asked coming up beside him from the other side of the garage.

"Why you asking?" Dom answered lifting his head from inside the hood of a Volkswagen.

"I met this girl the other day."

"So? You always got girls."

"Yea, but this one's different. We been talking for months and I haven't even hit it yet."

"You still fucking other girls?"

"Yea."

"Then you don't love her." Leon laughed at his response.

"But bro what am I supposed to do in the mean time while I'm waiting for her to come around?" Dom waved his hand suggestively in front of his groin. "Yo Dog, I ain't sixteen. That shit don't cut it no more."

"Use lotion." Dom suggested.

"Word?"

"Yea."

"You do that shit?"

"When she's mad at me."

"She's always mad at you."

"When she's really really mad."

"God damn it. Why can't I just fuck with other girls until she decides if she wants me or not?"

"'Cause she aint gonna want you if you're fucking with other girls."

"You were getting with other girls."

"Nah, that only happened when we weren't technically together and she still cut me off."

"Haven't you guys like broken up a lot?"

"Three times." Dom answered with a shrug.

"Like ever?"

"Yup."

"How long did she make you wait?"

"Months."

"Months?"

"Months."

"Like how many?"

"You don't wanna know."

"I gotta know."

"Nine the first time, two the second time, three the third time."

"Holy shit dude! How did you live?"

"I don't even know." Dom answered with a light head-shake.

"I used to beat one off at least once a day. You must have been going apeshit crazy."

"I'd work out and when that didn't work I'd do the other thing."

"Yo I can't do that shit."

"Then you don't love her." He told him again.

"But you don't fall in love like right away." Leon countered, but it was almost a question. The younger man was genuinely curious.

"No, you don't even realize it's happening." Dom educated him.

"Then how do you know?"

"One day you just do."

"Dude, what the fuck are you even saying right now?"

"Love's a fucking beast." Vince stated rolling out from under the car they were all working on.

"You guys ain't telling me shit."

"Le you just know." Vince emphasized futilely wiping the grease off his hand with his shirt.

"But how?"

"One day they'll be doing something simple like folding your clothes and you'll be like 'wow she's amazing' and then you'll back track and be like 'what the fuck she's just folding clothes.'" Dom laughed at Vince's explanation of love. "Don't act like it's not true."

"I'm not. It just reminded me of one day I was really hungry. We weren't even a couple yet, and she came in with my favorite just out of the blue like she just knew. She always just knows. I don't know how, but she does."

"That's why you love her?"

"One of the reasons."

"I don't know how you guys fucked with one girl for so long."

"It doesn't always work out." Vince commented lamentably remembering his relationship that had only ended a few months previous. It had occurred over a trivial matter that they were both simply too stubborn to resolve, and when he had realized his true feelings Mercedes was already in the process of moving on.

"Yea, but when you find the one she's like that classic muscle ride that beats import every time." Dom attempted to explain.

"What are we talking about?" Letty came up from behind them intrusively. She had just returned from a part run at Harry's with Jessie.

"Nothing." Vince and Dom said uniformly.

"Okay..." She said disbelievingly.

"We're talking about love." Leon informed her. Dom shot him a warning look.

"Oh? Now I have to hear this." Letty said leaning against the car.

"The conversation is over. You missed it." Dom told her.

"Well, why don't you summarize?" She suggested with an eyebrow arch.

"Nah, I think I'm all talked out." He said dismissively as he turned his attention back to the engine beneath him.

"So what's love Leon?" She asked almost threateningly.

"I have no fucking idea. These two didn't tell me shit. Basically, all I know is you're willing to suffer."

"Suffer? How?"

"No one said that." Dom defended without looking up.

"Listen man, you know you love a girl when you look at her and you literally want kill anyone who'd try to touch her." Vince told Leon.

"You're so dumb." Letty told him.

"I don't want to say I loved Mercedes, but fuck it. I loved Mercedes. Dom's my best friend, but I was ready to kick his ass with the little threesome comment the other day and she and I aren't even together. I don't love her anymore, but shit, I can't front and act like I wouldn't go for a second serving. You know what I mean?"

"He's not wrong." Dom voiced.

"Love isn't violent. You guys are fucking it all up." Letty argued.

"What the fuck you mean it's not violent? You really shouldn't be talking with your track record." Dom pointed out.

"You're taking that shit out of context. Any fights I've ever gotten in were because some basic bitch tried to disrespect me. They weren't because of you."

"What about that thing with Lance the other day?" Leon asked.

"Extreme circumstance. Dom's involvement is just coincidence." She dismissed.

"I may be fucking up my facts but wasn't the Trojan war started over pussy?" Vince asked out loud. Letty rolled her eyes.

"This is indeed so, good sir." Dom said in an entitled tone. "Would you not agree madam that wars are quite violent?"

"You guys need to stop watching the history channel if you're just gonna use it to argue bullshit." They snickered at her comment. "Let me drop some knowledge on you real quick 'cause these dumbasses don't know shit."

"I know more than you." Dom argued. Letty scoffed.

"Yeah right!"

"I said I love you first."

"What's your point?"

"I knew before you did."

"That's not true. Just because I didn't voice my feelings does not mean they weren't there."

"Now you wanna change your story?" Dom asked nerved. He could not believe they were having this argument in front of everyone.

"I'm not changing anything. You seem to be getting a little worked up there Dom. Why don't you go grab some water?" She suggested forcefully.

"Why don't you piss off?"

"Bite me." Letty countered turning her attention back to Leon while Dom walked away to get a beer. "Any way as I was saying, love is a beautiful thing when it's mutual because nothing matters more than that other person. You put them before everything and anyone no matter what. When you feel that way, you'll know you're fucked."

"Fucked? Didn't you just say love is a good thing?" Leon asked puzzled at her last comment.

"If you're in love with a good person it is." She corrected.

"Don't listen to her. Listen to me." Dom came from behind them.

"Excuse you." Letty said holding him back with her arm as he tried to intrude into her now two person conversation with Leon.

"This is really confusing." Jessie said from afar as he overheard the debate from where he was setting up a new sound system.

"Listen to me. I'm way better at love than he is." Letty argued.

"Ignore both of them. They're fucked up. I know what's up. Love is-"

"Excuse yourself Vince, are you currently in a seven year relationship?" Letty questioned cutting him off.

"She got you there man." Jessie chimed in.

"It don't matter. Feelings have nothing to do with time."

"You're all wrong!" Mia said coming out of the bathroom.

"Were you taking a shit in there 'cause I thought you were long gone? And what would you know?" Vince asked.

"You're so nasty Vince. I know more than you."

"Oh really Mia, how exactly?" Dom asked assertively.

"You don't know everything big brother."

"Yea, baby-girl here is all grown-up." Letty defended.

"My ass she is." Dom disregarded.

"I wish I had never asked this question." Leon muttered to himself. "So guys that game last night was crazy. You saw that layup Shaq dropped on the Heats." Mia rolled her eyes and walked back to her desk.

"Yo, we're making it to the finals for sure." Jessie agreed.

"All thanks to my baby Kobe." Letty said dreamily.

"Kobe's good but he ain't no Shaq." Dom argued almost jealously.

"Nah, he's ten times better." Vince countered giving Letty a low five.

"Yo my boy V knows what's up. I knew I liked you for a reason."

"Whatever man." Dom said finishing his beer and getting back to work. They all followed suit and finished up their day.

"So what the fuck you mean you know more about love than me?" Dom asked Letty while they bathed for their night out at the races. "You didn't even know what love was before me."

"That conversation ended like five hours ago."

"And?"

"And it's the truth."

"Wow."

"We can go back and forth all day. We won't agree, so we should just let it go."

"But it's not true."

"But it is. Soap please." Letty demanded with her hand out.

"No." He denied.

"You see if you loved me you would have given me the soap with no hesitation." She sighed exaggeratedly.

"No you didn't just do that."

"Truth's hard accept isn't it Dom." He grabbed her hand and placed the soap in it. "Thank you."

"For the record you complain about everything I ask of you."

"Wrong." She sang.

"You're being impossible."

"You're in denial."

"You just won't listen to reason."

"You see how you put me down? If you loved me you wouldn't do that." Letty teased.

"Me? I compliment you everyday. I treat you like a fucking queen while all you tell me is how much of an asshole I am. When was the last time you said something sweet to me?"

"This morning."

"Sex doesn't count. I don't have to be in you to say nice things."

"I read in one of Mia's textbooks that every time a woman has an orgasm there is hormone that is released into her brain that makes her emotionally bond to her lover." She informed him.

"What's your point?"

"Men don't love the way women do."

"Bullshit."

"It's science Dom. You're going to defy science?"

"So you're saying every slut out there in the world falls in love every time she fucks a new guy."

"Not every time, just when they have orgasms. That's probably why they cling to you so hard."

"You must have misunderstood. Hormones don't define love."

"No, but it's further proof God's a man. It's just another way assholes like you get good girls like me."

"Yea, Let you're such a miss goody two-shoes." Letty put her hands together and bowed her head as if in prayer.

"God you're so full of shit." He said splashing water at her. Letty gave him a mocking smile.

"Pass me that towel I'm getting pruny." She said signaling behind him. "You're just mad that you're wrong, but don't worry baby. Keep up the good work and you got nothing to worry about." She said condescendingly with a wink as she stepped out of the tub. Dom looked at her incredulously.

"Word? So you saying you'd just leave if I stopped putting it down right?"

"Who wouldn't?"

"Damn that's all I am to you?" She gave him a shrug. "That's so fucked up."

"It's not like I have the same options you do. Unfortunately..." Letty said walking out of the bathroom and into their bedroom. Dom quickly followed very put off by her comment.

"What are you talking about? What options?"

"Sometimes I wish I could look at a random guy and just want him, like really want him, but I can't because of you."

"Good." Letty rolled her eyes. "What's the problem?"

"There's no problem for you. You get it all."

"So do you." He countered.

"No, I really don't." She said lamentably.

"What don't I give you?" He asked confused.

"Everything. I have to share you with other people."

"That's some bullshit."

"Is it? Think about it. Every time we meet up for a race you play-up your macho bull, have random girls fall all over you, make no attempt to stop them because you're an attention whore, and then I look like the bitch ruining everyone's vibe after you win because you pissed me off. Then you ignore it because you know I won't leave and you also simply don't give a fuck."

"Woah, hold up."

"What?" She asked exasperatedly pulling down her top.

"It ain't even like that though."

"How long we been playing this game?"

"What game?"

"The one where you pretend like it's ok to mind-fuck every girl that you come into contact with, and then come to me at the end of the night having me wonder if you're thinking about Veronica, Camile, Stacy, Sally, Wendy..."

"Alright enough. You know when I'm with you Miss. Ortiz is all I'm thinking about. I don't think twice about no other girl."

"But you still think about other girls. That's an annoying luxury I do not have. It's kinda tragic when you think about it. Maybe I should start doing spoken word to get my feelings out like Bri did when she broke up with Jay." She said with a heavy sigh as she sat on the bed to zip up her boots. Dom looked at her pensively. "Can I help you with something?"

"I just don't like what you said."

"Well Dom what do you want me to do? Lie to you?"

"You make me sound like I'm this massive dick and I'm not. I do everything for you, that is, when you let me."

"I love you, but sometimes you are a massive dick. If you don't like it change it. We all have flaws. I'm twenty-two I do not need to be playing games with you anymore." Letty made her way downstairs to meet up with the rest of the team, leaving a reflective Dom upstairs to finish getting dressed. Her words were beginning to sink in and he did not like how he was feeling at the realization that Letty had been right. He hated the thought of causing her any pain or discomfort because of his male ego. However, most of all his competitive nature hated that she had beat him in the game of love.

"Why are we still betting two-Gs? We should make it at least five with all the money we have rolling in." Dom heard Leon suggest as he made his way down the stairs.

"Yea like that's not gonna raise any red flags." Vince said sarcastically. Did you forget we're trying to keep our new income on the low, or did you miss that meeting?"

"And who's gonna race against us with that big of a stretch?" Letty added.

"Whatever, I guess."

"You guys ready to go?" Dom asked still in a mood.

"Yea man." Jessie answered heading out the door. They all drove separately to the meeting point. Dom organized the details of the race with their friends and they proceeded to line up and block the streets. Letty spotted a ride that had taken her interest and tapped Dom's shoulder. He looked down at her.

"You should win that car." She all but commanded at the sight of a 2000 Toyota MR2.

"You know he's not dumb enough to race me for that." Dom pointed out. They knew the the driver, Walter, well. He had come around a few times, but barely ever raced. He was too busy showing off his new rides in order to snatch racer chasers that believed he had money.

"But I want it." She whined.

"Then you ask him to race for it." Letty huffed disappointedly and walked away to where Mia had been standing as Dom got ready for his first race. A few girls came up to him to wish him good luck, but he kindly dismissed them in a way she had not seen before.

"Well that's new." She muttered to herself.

"What?" Mia asked.

"You're brother just avoided his groupies."

"Nuh-uh!" Mia said in disbelief. "Are you punishing him or something because I don't remember hearing anything get thrown from your room today."

"No we're actually on really good terms." She said in a confused tone.

"He must just be feeling some type of way."

"Seriously." Letty commented still thrown off by Dom's actions. He got into his car and waited for the take-off signal before he hit the gas pedal at full force. The speedometer hit 180 before Dom decided it would be a good idea to press the NOS eject button he had hidden in his radio system, bringing him to a whopping 210 miles-per-hour. When he arrived at the race's end point with adrenaline still pumping in his veins a mob of people made their way to his car. It had been a clean sweep for him as the other racers trailed far behind him. Dom received many pats on the back and praise from people he did not know nor did he care about. He was in search for the one face that mattered to him most, Letty's. She was leaning indifferently against her car with Mia by her side just as he had left her. He made his way to her ignoring everyone else. Dom handed Mia the money and lifted Letty off her feet and into the air before planting a kiss on her lips. "What was that about?" She asked him.

"I just wanted to get my hands on my trophy."

"Well damn Papa, claim your prize." She told him as she brought him into a longing kiss. Leon and Jessie whistled at the couple. Letty kindly flipped them off, but did not end her kiss with Dom. She was too enwrapped in him to do so.

"I'm right here!" Mia complained. "I refuse to let this become a habit. You here me?" She yelled at them as they continued to kiss. "Urg!"
