"You're a terrible person." Lana breathed out, black eyes fixed on Mary Eunice's golden ones as the blonde trailed her fingers down to her bare chest, barely covered by disappearing bubbles and wet from their splashing around. The brunette bit the younger woman's lip hard, eliciting a groan from the nun, and she was rewarded with a quick slap to the shoulder that only made her laugh breathlessly against her lover.

"You have no idea."

"I might have a bit of an idea, Mary."

Mary Eunice pulled away, gold eyes hard and suddenly unforgiving. Lana frowned, leaning in again, but she was held at arm's length by the blonde, who'd slid back to the edge of the bathtub.

"What is it?"

"What makes you think you know anything?" Mary Eunice snapped.

Lana scowled. "I fucking live with you."

The nun tssked with irritation and abruptly stood, water running off her body like silk, and stepped out.

"Where are you going?"

"Quit it with that whining voice. It's not cute." The blonde shot back.

"What did I do now?"

"You have no idea what's happened to me. What I went through to get here." Mary Eunice roared, stabbing a finger at Lana.

"Don't I?" Lana yelled back, standing up too. "I was in that asylum just as much as you!"

The blonde laughed mockingly. "You know nothing, you arrogant child. You barely know yourself and you dare think you know me?" She threw a towel at Lana, hitting her in the chest, and the brunette's mouth dropped open in indignation.

"I think I know you better than anyone." The older woman's voice shook, out of anger and hate and grief.

"And yet you only skim the surface. You only know the devil, the nun. What of before?"

"What of it?"

"It's a joke. You think a demon can so easily possess a human body? You think the devil can take a soul it doesn't belong to? You think I fought against it when it called to me?" Mary Eunice hissed. "I let that fucker in, Lana Winters. I let that fucker in and I'm fucking enjoying it."

Lana's black eyes were unsure now as she watched the blonde pace the bathroom. Irritated, Mary Eunice smacked the palms of her hands against the wall, the echo ringing out, before she let out a groan and left the room. The brunette followed her.

"Explain."

"Fuck off, Lana."

"No." The reporter turned the woman around harshly, hand on her shoulder. "Explain."

"What is there to understand?" Mary Eunice barked. "I just told you, I let him in. Her. Whatever it is."

"What do you mean?"

The blonde backed Lana up against a wall, breath against the woman's ear, fingers flat on the wall on either side of her head. "A demon doesn't just waltz into a body. It needs permission." She said softly. She felt Lana shiver against her. "I saw that devil look into my eyes, it asked me, and I said yes. There's nothing else to say."

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why did you say yes? What did you see in his, its, eyes that so tempted you? That made you let him in?" Lana asked into her neck, her own hands palming at strong shoulders.

"Truth. Justice." Mary Eunice whispered back. "What I'd always wanted to be, what I'd always been afraid of being." She paused. "Myself."

"Yourself."

The blonde laughed lightly, her breath tickling the brunette. "You know, they always thought I was naive, that I was this poor little girl that needed all the help she could get to survive. That I would never go anywhere. That I was stupid. Do you know what my true heart hid? It hid everything I wasn't on the surface. I didn't have much as a child, but I so wanted to be loved, so I did what I could to please everyone around me. In reality," She let out a little noise that resembled a giggle. "I just wanted to fuck everyone over. Literally and figuratively. I wanted to become this person that people feared. I wanted to be this entity that went down in history as a woman you didn't mess with, as a woman whom you loved and never tore your eyes away from. I didn't want to be thrown away. I didn't want to be the one who was stripped, I wanted to strip away at others. Clothes and skin. Do you know how many perverse thoughts ran through my head?" She palmed Lana's breast. "You think I became this kinky after my eyes turned gold? Believe me, I've always been like this. I just needed a little push. I just needed a little power, to access it all."

Lana shifted against her.

"Arden so wanted to believe that what I was doing, was something Mary Eunice McKee would never do. It very much was." She placed a chaste kiss against Lana's jawline.

"The Christmas tree at Briarcliff?"

"Wholeheartedly my idea."

"Bloody Face running rampant?"

"Truth. Justice."

"You're sick."

Mary Eunice smiled. "But you knew that." She hardened as her face took up a smirk, devoid of any joy. "Didn't you? Because you know me so damn well? Because you live with me?"

"It was you this entire time."

"Hmm." The blonde nuzzled deeper into an alabaster neck, her fingers closing around Lana's.

"You're sick." The brunette repeated.

"We were born sick."

Lana turned her head sideways, her black gaze meeting Mary Eunice's golden one. She breathed in and out deeply, almost as if she weighed her options as her eyes raked over the nun's face. Tentatively, she reached up and placed a small kiss on the corner of the woman's lips, her eyes fluttering shut, and Mary Eunice grinned despite herself.

"I know what you're thinking. The sheep fell for the lion." The blonde whispered. "But I was a wolf, hiding behind a white down. I've always been a wolf."

"What does that make me?"

"Prey."
