"Attention all guardians. Chibi Fuzz, the leader of the rogues, is on the run. Locate and catch her."

As the rogue disappeared from sight, Saturnalius knew better than to believe Chibi Fuzz's threat was empty. The note Space Gas left at the attack at the apartment earlier was enough to believe the situation had quickly turned serious. Everyone had to act now. "Take precautions,"she added over the communication channel. "Whoever her ally might be may have taken a host."

"What do you mean, taken a host?" Neptune asked as she and Neptunusia emerged from the hallway doors and into the courtyard.

"Sailor Space Gas has been leaving us clues," Saturnalius replied, holding up the folded letter from earlier that morning. "She seems to have somewhat broken free of whatever hold Chibi Fuzz and her ally have on her, but she still fights by their side for unknown reasons. Her latest clue said that he had taken a host. I can only assume that's the ally."

"And what of Space Gas?" Jadeite added.

"We have to assume she's the enemy for now," Mercury answered. "We may have to fight her, but we don't want to fully vanquish her. Like Black Hole, she can be saved."

"We'll discuss this later," Saturnalius nodded. "But right now, we have to catch Chibi Fuzz. With all the trouble she's caused, I don't think she'd give us empty threats. Jadeite, stay here and protect the school and the princess. Saturn, you're with us."

...

"No signs of any rogues at Hikawa, I'd say." Jupitercouri reported from the Hikawa shrine. She stood with Jupiter and Mars. Something panged at the back of her mind, something worried her. She summoned her deck to her hand. Perhaps the cards would tell her what she needed to know.

"Azabu is beautifully clear~"Merkkur chimed in across town in the business district. Kunzite and Venus accompanied her. The streets seemed rather normal, people bustling about at their normal business.

"The shopping district is clear!" Zoisite reported in, perhaps much too excited about being in a shopping district. Uranus and Nephrite both rolled their eyes.

"The harbor is clear as well~" Neptunusia added. She and Neptune had been surveying the waterfront near where Black Hole had been mercilessly dumped a few weeks prior.

"The northern edge is clear, yeah," Star reported. Cometius accompanied her, and both had hoped this search could turn up signs of Super S as well.

"I'm not sensing any unusual distortions in time or space," Pluto reported. She stood guard at the palace with Plutonium and Sun.

"The school is quiet as well," Jadeite reported. "Everyone's safe."

Saturnalius frowned at all the reports. While she certainly wanted everything to be clear, now wasn't the time to see nothing. Chibi Fuzz was on the loose, probably as a distraction. It was a simple tactic, a means to split apart a larger force and essentially divide and conquer each individual group. Yet none of the groups had encountered any resistance or force from the rogues.

"She's probably cheating." Saturn folded her arms. She tended to suspect most people and not want to share Small Lady with others, but something about Chika set her off pretty early. And now Chika had broken Small Lady's heart, something she never wanted to see happen. Chika would pay for this.

"She is the sort to do such," Mercury agreed, watching the readouts on her mini computer. Tapping her earring, she pulled up her visor to get more distinct readings.

The two stood in the Azabu-Juuban district near the schools in Triangle Park. Early on in the battle against the Shadow Galaxy, a battle against the sibling generals, Dixite and Doxite, had raged on here. Sun nearly lost her life but in the end survived when Saturnalius and Neptunusia arrived just in time. Mercury and Saturn probably didn't know the significance of such a place, but Saturnalius remembered it well.

"Hm," Mercury hummed. "I'm getting some odd readings at the high school."

"We can't leave anything up to chance," Saturnalius nodded. "Let's go."

The three senshi leapt from the park across the volleyball court and towards the school. As they moved, Mercury's readings persisted. "She's hiding at the field?"

"Troublesome," Saturnalius scoffed. "The enemy really does have a thing for schools. Let's hope she hasn't decided to take some students hostage." The senshi leapt off the fence surrounding the perimeter of the schoolyard and headed towards the bleachers. Saturnalius stopped at the top, extending an arm to halt the party. "Seems I spoke too soon."

Below them on the football field, Chibi Fuzz had taken a PE class hostage.

"Katsuro-senpai." Saturnalius could spot him anywhere with his bright orange hair. When they last spoke, he told her that he'd become a teacher. And sure enough, there he was among the students.

"Chibi Fuzz must've gotten bored with hide and seek," Saturn frowned, leaning against her glaive.

"Or this was all a means to distract us from her true intentions," Mercury offered.

"Why don't we go and find out?" Saturnalius scowled at Chibi Fuzz from the top of the stands.

"We cannot use our magic with that many people that close," Saturn protested.

"Then we use the direct approach," Saturnalius replied, cracking her knuckles.

"You're not very good at this game, are you?!" Chibi Fuzz shouted jeeringly from the field. She pointed up at the group of senshi menacingly. "You're supposed to sneak up on me! It's more fun that way!"

"Is everything just a game to you?!" Saturnalius shouted, anger lacing her voice.

Chibi Fuzz shrugged, mocking the question. "Why don't we play a guessing game to find out?"

"Enough games!" Saturnalius hissed. She could feel her blood boiling. She knew her power could easily take out the school if she let it get out of hand. She was trying to keep it in check, but Chibi Fuzz was quickly testing her patience. "You have no concept or understanding what it means to be a guardian, to protect everything we fought so hard to create. Everything we've sacrificed we did so that the people of earth and the cosmos could finally live in peace. And you're willing to throw all of this away so easily?"

Mercury and Saturn didn't move to stop her. They couldn't disagree with Saturnalius's words. They'd all fought so hard, sacrificed so much. Saturnalius sacrificed her civilian identity, and while most believed it was her sense of duty that drove her, Mercury was quickly learning there was more to her decisions. Saturnalius valued hard work, and she valued her allies. She'd had everything taken from her in the past, and now she had what she only could've dreamed. But in the end, to help preserve the peace and maintain the Crystal Guardian Network, she had to give up everything else and become a senshi full time.

Chibi Fuzz laughed uncontrollably. "Was that supposed to sway me? What a load of crock!"

Saturnalius gritted her fists, yet she was not the first to attack. Katsuro sprang to life from the group of hostages. Bending his knee, he lowered his shoulder and pulled his arm into the shape of an upside down triangle. At the last moment, he sprang off the ground, impacting the small senshi and throwing her several yards across the field.

The senshi descended the stairs to take over the battle and protect the students.

"She's out cold," Mercury informed the others, placing a hand on Chibi Fuzz.

Saturnalius glanced at Mercury then at the students. She knew Katsuro personally. It was odd to stand before him as a senshi instead of as her civilian self. "I should thank you-"

"Actually, I should thank you," Katsuro interrupted. "I did steal your move after all."

Saturnalius paused, gaping. "You knew?"

"Come on," Katsuro shrugged. "I've known since high school. I've seen you sacrifice everything since then."

Saturnalius smiled, somewhat relieved. "I suppose I should've expected this from the genius commander of the football field."

"Something's terribly wrong," Pluto's voice came over the communicators. "There was a strange distortion and suddenly Sun's collapsed."

Red hues darted across the sky, interrupting the moments of jubilation. Everyone across the city then soon the Earth still cast in daylight saw the read streaks and hues. Shielding her eyes, Saturnalius glanced up in the sky. "The sun... It's turned black?"

"How is that even possible?!" Mercury gaped at the sky.

Across the city in the palace, Plutonium stared up at the sky, gaping in horror. "The witch is poisoning the water again."
