I said I'd have another one out quickly to make up for the short chapter.
Vergil had betrayed Black Market and Hawk. Now it was time to get him to talk, the hard way.
I don't own Fairy Tail.
Hawk's Story: Fairy Tail
Chapter 52
The Fairy Tail members joined the Black Market members in their guild hall, surrounding Vergil. Dante and Nero had gone to the living quarters because they wanted nothing to do with their brother. Vergil was currently chained to a reinforced chair made for interrogation. "Is it really necessary to chain me up?" Vergil asked with a cocky grin. Victor's chains tighten around Vergil's neck. They were loosened moments later and Vergil gasped for breath.
"We don't have time for your smug attitude. Tell us everything or things will get much, much worse for you." Tai threatened.
"What's wrong 'Master' you seem upset?"
Tai let out a low growl. "Laxus, you have the honor of going first."
A burst of lightning immediately crashed down from the ceiling. Victor's black chains made the lightning more painful. When the lightning stopped, Vergil was left coughing and smoldering. "Think about your next statement." Laxus told him.
Vergil coughed a few times before turning to Tai. "I'll tell you what I can. You can't stop Master Ghiller. His power has grown exponentially over the last few years. Then it nearly doubled when he acquired your Star."
Tai sighed but was cut off before he could speak. "You're pretty stupid, aren't you?" Natsu asked, earning a confused look from Vergil. "You said the same shit when I kicked your ass back then. We had no chance of beating Hades either or winning the Grand Magic Games or surviving a Dragon attack. Guess what, we did all those things. Because we're Fairy Tail and we don't lose to bastards like you."
After the initial shock at Natsu's confidence wore off, Vergil chuckled. "I really do love that fire you have. But it looks like that's all the info I can give you."
"What are you talking about?" Tai asked angrily.
"Farewell." A shadow envelope him and exploded.
"What the hell was that?" Tai shouted at Marcus.
"That wasn't me! My shadows can't do that!" He shouted back.
"And that's why you're weak Little Brother." They heard from the doorway.
"N-no way, y-you died." Marcus muttered.
"Pandora Magic really is good at preventing death."
"Victor!" Tai shouted. Chains shot out of the ground towards the man but were caught by several shadowy hands.
"Do you really think I'd reveal myself if I thought I'd get caught?"
"Who are you?" Tai growled.
"Tyson Nightfall. I'm Marcus' older brother and 3rd Commander of Grand Necropolis." He said with a smirk.
"He's this strong and he's only 3rd." Tai cursed mentally. "What did you do to Vergil?"
"Oh him? I just trapped him in Pandora's Realm. It's a world of pure madness." Tyson chuckled.
A blazing fist went flying towards him but was blocked by a shadowy forearm. "He's your comrade!" Natsu shouted.
"You legal guilds are so cute. He stopped being a comrade when he got caught."
Natsu's rage made him push more fire towards Tyson, who was forced to jump back. Unfortunately, he jumped right into Laxus. "Breakdown Fist of the Lightning Dragon!" He slammed him fist into Tyson who burst into shadows.
"Wow such power. So scary you are." Tyson chuckled clapping his hands from behind. "While I'd love to stay and be entertained by you, I must take my leave. Oh and Hawk, I'll be sure say hello to Ms. Alberona for you." Then he was gone.
Hawk immediately went into panic mode and bolted upstairs to the where the communications Lacrima was. He activated it and hoped someone was on the other side. He was in luck as Freed answered. "Hawk, is something wrong?"
"Find Cana! Find her now! They're all in danger!" Hawk shouted.
Freed didn't waste any time and took off to where they were training. "Hawk." Tai said, grabbing his attention. "You know it's too late."
Hawk grabbed Tai by the shirt and slammed him against the wall. "Shut up! I don't want to hear your shit!"
...
Freed and Bickslow had grabbed Bisca and Alzak and took off for where Erza was training the other girls, but it was too late. Each one of them were unconscious on the ground and Cana… was gone.
The group began emergency treatment, while Bickslow's dolls went to inform Makarov and Porlyusica. Erza was able to regain consciousness, but only for a moment. "Freed, tell Hawk...I'm sorry."
"Damn it! Stay with me!" Freed shouted.
"Stand aside fool." Porlyusica told him.
Freed quickly moved away. "Please hurry."
...
Hawk paced frantically by the communicator, waiting for someone to contact him. Then the solemn face of Makarov appeared. "Master! Master, what happened?"
"The girls were ambushed. Grand Necropolis has Cana." Hawk hung his head and tried not to lose control.
"I told you." Tai said.
That was Hawk's breaking point. He immediately punched Tai in the face with a blazing fist so hard, Tai went through the wall and fell down to the first floor. Hawk burst through the hole in the wall and landed on top of Tai. He grabbed him the collar again. "Where is he?"
"Hawk you can't..."
"WHERE?"
Tai let out a groan. "Fine, gather everyone in the courtyard."
...
Two figures entered Ghiller chamber. One was the hooded man Shinobu. The other was a woman with short blonde hair, wearing a long white dress. "Shinobu, was your mission a success?" Ghiller asked, not looking up from his book.
"Yes. It would have been quicker without Freya." Shinobu answered.
"What can I say, I like to tease the weak." She giggled.
"Bring her here." Ghiller ordered.
Shinobu snapped his fingers and Cana landed in front of Ghillers chair. He closed his book and stood up. With his other hand he picked up Cana by the throat. "Cana Alberona, daughter of Fairy Tail's strongest Wizard. What would Gildarts think of his daughter in such a feeble position?" Ghiller questioned.
He got a rather surprising answer from. She chuckled. "You really are stupid."
"How so?"
"Since Hawk is as strong as you say he is, you're about as dead as they get."
"Now what makes you say that?"
"Because he's a Fairy Tail Wizard. He won't lose to a creep like you."
"As was I, Little Girl." He told her, earning a look of shock. He smiled at her expression. "You see this book?" He asked referring to the one he was reading. "It was given to me when I was in Fairy Tail. Well that's not entirely true. I took it without the persons knowledge. It revealed everything I needed to know about becoming as powerful as I could possibly imagine. Tell me, do you think it's true?" He held the book in front of her. A look fear went across her face when she saw the cover. "Hawk the Wanderer." Was written above a picture of Zeref. "I know more about him than he does."
