Hi to everyone who is still reading this story, let me know what you think.

...

Erin Strauss turned from her task at the dining room table to find Rossi staring at her with his warm, loving gaze, instantly caused her to blush. "What are they up to now?"

Rossi smirked at his partner's focus on their babysitting duties. Since the boys had arrived earlier in the morning, she had enforced a 'no touch, no innuendo' rule.

It had been a rough morning for the notorious Casanova.

"Jack's showing Henry how to score a goal with his head." Rossi finally answered after uncrossing his arms and walking over to stand behind the Section Chief.

"Oh that's going to end well." Strauss muttered with an eye roll.

"Come here, you." Rossi stepped back and opened his arms, then patiently waited for the greying agent to stand and walk into his hold with an un-amused sigh.

"David." She chastised as he placed her cheek onto his chest and wrapped his arms around her.

Resting his chin on the top of the shorter woman's head, the experienced profiler hummed happily while tightening his hug. "Did you ever think it would be this way for us?"

"I never thought I'd see the day where you're so domesticated." Strauss remarked sarcastically.

Rossi pulled back slightly and moved her chin upwards with his finger. "You find it hot, don't you?"

"Oh shoo, you." Strauss pushed him back and stepped out of his grip.

He laughed boomingly, before tilting his head to the side thoughtfully. "You do like being Grandma Erin, don't you?"

Her eyes widened, in recollection of Henry's words in the kitchen, that morning. "That was a shock. You will need to make sure Aaron and JJ are okay with the boys calling me that."

"They will be." Rossi reassured with a nod.

She raised an eye unsurely. "What about Sandy?"

"I think we'll omit the boys' declaration from her for a little time." He countered with a small shrug.

Strauss tided the papers that were strewn across the table, turning her back on her partner of more than three years. "What about Aaron's mother. Is she still around?"

"I don't think so. His childhood is a no go area for us, always has been." Rossi replied with a small frown.

"That's a shame. At least his brother is back in the picture." The mother of three smiled solemnly.

"True." The acclaimed author agreed quickly.

"And he has JJ and the boys, now." Strauss continued before leading them into the kitchen where they could keep on an eye on the two small boys passing the ball back and forth.

"Uh-huh." Rossi stated with another non-committed nod.

She ran her hand gently across his cheek, brushing his bottom lip with her thumb, lovingly. "And you're practically his father-in-law."

"Excuse me?" He spluttered with a cough.

Strauss giggled lightly as she begun to look for food for lunch. "You are a father figure to him."

"I'm not ancient in comparison, sure he's only four or five years older than James would be now, but how am I a father figure to my boss?" Rossi asked in disbelief.

Erin Strauss turned to him with her pointed glare she was infamous for. "David, he's having a child with your daughter. He looks up to you, as a profiler and as a man."

"Like hell does Aaron 'moral-compass' Hotchner, look up to me." Rossi snorted.

"You taught him a lot in his early days." She explained weakly.

The elder profiler shook his head gruffly. "He's taught me more since I came back, than I ever taught him back then. Besides, Jason Gideon was all about passing on bull crap knowledge to the next generation, not me."

"Kids can teach a lot to their parents you know." Strauss retorted dryly.

"Aaron is one of my best friends." He spoke adamantly.

Erin smirked. "Kids and parents can be friends too."

"I'm not his damn father, what's with you?" Rossi pressed grumpily.

"I just think, perhaps the dynamics of our family have changed and I wanted you to know that I'm proud of how you've accepted Aaron and those boys." She smiled appreciatively.

"JJ loves them. I love them. But, God, thinking of Aaron as my son makes my insides roll." Rossi scowled. "Don't get me wrong, I love him like family, but the idea of him being my son..."

Strauss inhaled slowly. "Why?"

"Do you have any idea how many years we've known each other?" Rossi explained with a moan. "How he's seen me behave and act over the years? How many scotches we've shared? How many conversations we've had about things, no parent and child should ever, ever, ever have? I've already come to terms with the fact that JJ has heard things about me that I never wanted a child of mine to know but now you want me to think of Aaron as my own?"

"But he's not exactly just your best friend anymore. He has impregnated your daughter." Strauss said bluntly.

Rossi groaned unhappily. "That is another thing I refuse to think about at all."

"Oh, David." Strauss wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a small kiss to his lips. "Things have change, my dear. You're going to have to wrap your pretty, little head around it."

About 10 miles away, Hotch had his arms wrapped around his partner's growing stomach as they looked around an open house on a second viewing.

Admiring the large garden as JJ rested against his chest, Hotch pressed a soft kiss to her cheek from where he stood behind her. "This place is still great for us."

"Why hasn't it been sold yet?" The pragmatic former liaison asked in curiosity.

"The buyers are holding out until they get an offer they're satisfied with. They probably bought it at twice the cost they're going to sell it at because of the housing recession." The trained lawyer proposed quietly.

"It's still going to be expensive." JJ mumbled pessimistically.

"It's a great neighbourhood. Not far from Dave and Erin as well as Penelope, Morgan and Blake. Reid's only half an hour away and Prentiss home is just ten minutes further." Hotch countered, ignoring her negativity, a trait that had been accentuated during her pregnancy.

"True, but it's going to cost a bomb." She sighed in heartfelt.

The Unit Chief rubbed her bump soothingly. "JJ, I told you not to worry too much about the cost. I've lived frugal over the years. I have enough money for us to live more than comfortably here."

"We're buying a house fifty/fifty, Aaron. That's what we agreed." JJ said stubbornly.

Hotch pointed through the French doors excitedly. "Look at this yard, we could easily get a play set and a two soccer nets in it for the boys. Imagine all the barbeques we could have on that patio and all the fruit and veg we could grow in the vegetable patch down the bottom."

"Aaron." JJ whispered his name warningly, sensing his over enthusiasm growing.

"The bedrooms upstairs are all a good sizes, so they'll be no fighting between the kids in the future." He continued with dreamy eyes.

She turned in his arms and placed her palms onto his chest, with not being able to snuggle into him because of her enlarged mid section. "Aaron."

"Then there's the master bathroom, did you see that bath tub and those views?" He spoke rapidly. "We could even use that little annex as a walk in wardrobe, to fit all of your shoes and bags into the house and that little room next to the kitchen could be an office turned snug room. We could even..."

"Aaron, take a breath." JJ urged.

"I love this house." He stated simply.

She grinned widely. "I can tell."

"We can afford it." Hotch pulled her closer and kissed her softly.

JJ tilted her head to the side in disagreement. "You can afford it. I know Dad put some money in my bank account to cover my bills and stuff last year, but I'm updated on payments and I wouldn't feel right using any more of it. I've already put most of it aside to help pay for Henry's future health bills."

"Then let me buy it." He replied gently.

"No, Aaron we're going halves on this investment." She stood her ground confidently.

"We're committed right?" Hotch prompted warmly.

"Of course, we are." She answered with a small sigh, knowing that she was going to lose the cause.

He smiled knowingly. "And we love this house?"

JJ groaned. "Yes, but..."

"No buts. Let's buy it." He entwined their fingers and squeezed.

"Aaron, it's too pricey." She shook her head weakly.

"Jayje, I have four inheritances still sitting in my bank account collecting interest. Numerous investments have given me enough security that if I got fired tomorrow, I wouldn't have to find work again. And I've got all three of our kids futures secure and there's still money left over if we decided to have any more kids." He revealed to her disbelief.

She chewed on her lower lip in conflict. "I..."

Hotch kissed JJ chastely once more, to stop her nervous habit, before pushing the conversation forwards. "Let me buy this house."

Staring at him unsurely, the silence went on for a few minutes before JJ opened her mouth to confirm her decision. "You'll need to haggle and you're not paying for it all by yourself."

"Of course I will haggle." He overlooked the last part of her demands coyly. "I am an experienced and well renowned negotiator."

"So, we're getting this house?" JJ looked around the large room with a worried expression crossing her face.

Hotch grinned broadly. "We're getting this house."

"I'm such a push over." JJ sighed in disbelief of her own ease at accepting what her partner wanted.

Hotch scoffed. "I thought that was my role in this family?"

"It's a great house." She stated again as she imagined all of their many belongings warmly filling the vast empty space.

"We're going to be very happy here." Hotch announced confidently.

JJ smiled dreamily. "I can't wait."
