TWEWY: The World Ends With You: 2:

This story alternates through two protagonists; Neku Sakuraba and Yukiko Kitaoka, and many other characters if the story needs to. This story may have parts from the game TWEWY in it so it will have spoilers: TWEWY was made by Square Enix. This is a FAN FICTION so don't get your hopes up to think this is the sequel. Enjoy!

Wow, I finally got over the writer's block for this chapter after writing TWEWY AFIH chapter 20.

Fun fact: The reason of why the first few Unsealed Fates chapters for each day in the story until week 2 day 3 wasn't as long or as many as now because I once believed that there was a limited amount for chapters you could have in a story on the website. It's funny when you think about it, well for me that is =3

Week 3, day 1:

Chapter 52: Oh Bittersweet Forbearance:

It was awhile until Neku explained to Yukiko what happened.

She wasn't pleased.

"Don't you dare tell me that we had a pretty little spy in our group, last week, this whole fucking time!" screamed Yukiko as her rage rose as high as it was when she tried to use Angel's Blessing on the Composer.

Neku didn't seem intimidated by her when he spoke firmly "It's true. I always had a amiss feeling about her-"

Again she took in a deep breath before she shrieked "Why weren't you cautious around her? Are you stupid?"

"I barely thought of it, and I don't think it was her fault," explained the headphone teen as he gave her a cold stare, "She wasn't really aware that Joshua was observing us through her."

With a snort Yukiko crossed her arms "Why do you call him by that name?"

"I knew him by that name!" protested Neku as anger pierced through his tone.

"He doesn't deserve it," scoffed the slightly spiky haired girl made a hissing noise of annoyance before she spat "And Mayu, if she really is Mayu, doesn't deserve stupid pity."

A air of silence made it seem like tension was brewing within each of them.

"Take that back,"

Yukiko's eyes widened and flashed when she found that she stabbed a nerve.

She was pleased that she found something to torment Neku with; it took long two weeks for her to get this far.

"Do you honestly think that she is a friend?" asked Yukiko in a jeer as she chuckled, the question was irrelevant to this week but she wanted to see how far Neku would go into anger, "A friend doesn't allow themself to spy for the enemy, nor do they allow themself to join the enemy."

He was too cool headed and calm.

"How about Ayumu?" asked Neku coldly as his blue grey eyes darkened, "He's Joshua's half brother."

She felt her eye twitch and her eyes narrowed into slits, "Ayumu is not apart of this."

Sadly she found fault in her words, Ayumu did join the enemy.

And she was surprised that she stood up for Ayumu, there just happened to be a strong enough emotion to rush through her that she couldn't recall.

Even Neku gave her a odd look of astonishment.

She coughed a bit hard before she grumbled, "I mean… He's not even here to speak for himself, I can't pretend to know what he would say!" she patted her thick tri-colored vest hard where her chest would be, "You can never cease to be a idiot."

Again Neku kept staring at her absently before he coldly noted, "It's hard to believe you would act this way, normally you are crude to this."

"Whatever!" retorted Yukiko before looking away with another groan, "Stick your face back into the Adder Noises' fire will you!"

Yukiko crossed her arms in a fume as she tapped her foot, she would like to see Neku battle the Noise again but this time get erased. Sadly, she needed him to survive erasure this week.

Two jingles from two different phones sounded.

Immediately Yukiko got out her red and black cellphone with white details including on the buttons and sides, she flipped it open to see a new text message that she read to herself: Find your partner and head to 104, you have t-60 minutes to do so. Fail, and you'll face erasure by the Reapers.

The slightly spiky haired girl blinked 'Now the mission is here, what's up with the Game Master?'

Before anything else happened both the players winced when sharp pain shot through their bodies, a blood red timer that slowly counted down imprinted onto both of their right palms.

"The normal 1st day mission." sighed Neku as he coolly looked at her, "There is no way to fail it unless you are not popular or lucky."

She felt herself tense when she growled in a low tone "You're trying real hard to insult me. Find a better hobby Sakuraba or I'll throw you down a dark astray alley to fade in." again she tapped her foot while she scowled at her partner, "My words are not marked to be playful or sweet."

"I can tell…" flatly replied the boy she loathed.

They both put away their phones before Yukiko grumbled "Let's just get over there already. The less time I spend with you, the better."

Neku noted that Yukiko still held the grudge towards him; she was only caught off guard for a mere second when Neku mentioned Ayumu.

But Neku knew why he exploded into anger a few moments ago; he knew his friends were important to him. Mayu was still a friend to him. He felt the bitter pulse of betrayal in him still, except there was a twinge of sympathy and loyalty to Mayu.

Yukiko pushed past him making him shuffle a bit back, he realized one thing; he had to find out the reason of why she hated him.

Being partners for a week might just be the only golden opportunity he had.

So he started off walking slowly behind her, 'How can I find out why she hates me? She hates me too much to reveal the truth.'

But, another sole reason popped into his mind.

'It's because-'

Neku remembered on the 7th day of the 1st week, when he had asked her the question for why she hated him, she passed out from sudden agony. He recalled that on the 1st day of last week that he thought about her maybe not getting back all her memories from the 1st week's entry fee.

"I have to try a more indirect method to discover other reasons and the main reason she hates me." the quick mutter went unnoticed by his sadistic partner who suddenly turned around to face him, she snarled in commanding tone "Hurry up!"

Neku hid part of his face in his funnel collar when he replied calmly "We still have plenty of time."

He saw her face turn grim when she scoffed "I don't care! Oh wait, I'm talking to the almighty Neku Sakuraba. How could I be so plagued by this magnificent occasion?"

The headphone teen held in a growl of annoyance.

'How long can I keep my tolerance of her?' wondered Neku as Yukiko kept her eyes locked into his through the intense glare she gave, 'When she is only pushing me far from my limited boundaries?'

Shortly Neku took in a deep breath before he mused, "Didn't you want to hurry?"

"Feh," Yukiko rolled her ebony eyes and crossed her arms "Yeah."

The girl went on ahead again and Neku shadowed her movements.

It wasn't long until they got to the Scramble Crossing again then headed over to the entrance to the 104 Building district.

But this time, the Reaper that always held a rancor mood against them was absent. He was replaced by a normal Reaper who was standing ready to talk to them.

This oddly surprised Neku since that rancor mood Reaper never really left the spot or area, and considering that Yukiko still had his KeyPin… He was going to sometime now or later try to erase them without mercy for that factor.

As they halted in front of the genetic red hooded Reaper, he waved his hand as through it was waving or brushing them off "Sorry, I have no challenge for you I'm afraid. No Wall, sadly."

"So where is the usual Reaper that's here then?" asked Neku curiously making the Reaper sigh.

The Reaper took a second before he replied, "If you knew him, then I guess it might be decent to tell you he won't be here anymore."

"Was he erased?" asked Neku again as Yukiko let out a annoyed sigh that sounded more like a hiss, it was too good to be true if the Reaper was erased or stationed somewhere else to make Walls.

The Reaper shook his head "No. You could say he got promoted."

"Thanks for the news." the headphone teen nodded before he started to walk to their target location when his oxygen got cut off for a second by Yukiko who yanked him back by his funnel collar.

He only rubbed his neck where his collar choked him as Yukiko roared "Hold it! 'You could say he got promoted', what's up with that crap? You make it sound like there is something else that you, a petty Reaper who's holding it back from us."

The Reaper shrugged again "Saw through what I said, ha. You're pretty clever and heedful."

Yukiko only snorted and sharply looked away "Complements are false encouragement and lies! Don't you dare take me as a fool…"

She was about to rush at him when Neku forced himself to ram her back "Stop! I'd like to get past without a skirmish, Yukiko."

"Hey! How dare you Sakuraba!" Yukiko's eyes narrowed almost into slits as her voice lowered into seriousness, "I can fight without some idiot holding me back from what I can truly handle."

Neku was about to yell when the Reaper spoke "Ok, ok, alright."

Right away Neku turned around to face him "The Reaper you may know is now a Harrier Reaper almost."

"Almost?" echoed the pale orange haired girl through disdain.

"Yeah," nodded the Reaper before he waved his hand again, "But I only know little about it, since the Conductor only gave us small details for what his role would be."

As Neku felt uneasy towards how Yukiko was tensing her narrow shoulders, he quickly spoke "Uh, thanks again. We really should hurry."

When Yukiko was about to protest, he grabbed her wrist firmly and hard like he did once not fondly before and pulled her away before they would get into trouble.

He heard Yukiko gasp in agony as he pulled her "Let go of my fuckin' hand!" her teeth sounded like they were gritted together as she snapped, "Let go of me! Right now!"

The anger he heard in her voice, it was the exact same amount from on the day they died.

In fact, he was holding her wrist the same as before also. But now, Neku just wanted to finish the mission before his partner would try to get them killed.

"Le-" Yukiko's voice faltered as Neku snapped "Shut up! I don't care that you hate me, or that the fact is I'm doing this! Shut up!"

He heard a strained grunt and he narrowed his eyes "Can you stop trying to be so reckless and arrogant that I can at least try to think about the problems we have. Gah!"

Still Yukiko struggled in his hold but Neku already saw that they were nearing the 104 Building already. Neku let out a sigh when Yukiko wasn't trying to piss him off for once.

At the moment he let go of her hand, he received a brutal clout to the gut and he fell down in excruciating pain "You bloody idiot!"

The ebony-eyed girl's voice was raw and shrill from anger as she bellowed, "Do you have any fuckin' damn idea how much that hurt?!" when Neku let out a sound of pain she narrowed her eyes more and hissed "You know what? Maybe you are so wrapped up in your world of 'let's help everybody we catch sight of' nonsense, that you don't think about your life over those foolhardy senseless friends of yours!"

Neku clutched his gut in pain and noticed that part of his gut was faded, but it didn't matter to him.

Yukiko utterly insulted him and his friends.

She had crossed the line.

And all his tolerance and respect for her, vanished.

He was sick of how she acted.

His sight was overlaid with red haze when he got up.
