The next morning, I awoke to the feeling of something soft pressed to my neck. I stirred a bit, a shiver running down my spine as someone pulled me closer.

"Good morning~" I heard a familiar voice whisper into my skin.

"G—good morning." I stuttered as he pushed some hair out of my face. I looked at Fai lying next to me with a smile on his face.

"It is so nice to be able to wake up like this." He said before pressing his lips against mine. I pressed myself closer to him; I had missed the feeling of his touch. He tried to pull away but I moved forward again and captured his lips once more. I could feel him smiling into the kiss as he held me tighter, his hands tracing patterns on my back. I shivered under his touch as I moved my own hands down his torso and under his shirt. I felt him jump a bit in surprise causing me to break the kiss from giggling.

"Sorry." I told him, smiling innocently.

"Maiiiii! Your hands are so cold!" He whined causing me to laugh harder. I moved my hands around his thin waist to place them on his warm back.

"It's okay! I'll just have you warm them up!" I told him as he squirmed to get away.

"Noooooo!" He whined childishly as I laughed, rolling on to his back in an attempt to shake me off. I gasped a bit in surprise as I was pulled on top of him. I was no longer laughing, but now instead was blushing as I was trapped in this position, my face only centimeters from his and every part of our bodies touching. I felt one of his hands move up my back, a serious look now in his eyes. He entangled his hand in my hair before pulling me down to where my lips were pressed against his once more. I moaned softly into the kiss as he moved his tongue into my mouth. He rolled us back over to where he was on top of me balancing on one arm as he moved a hand under my shirt. I gasped under his touch until a thought crossed my mind forcing me to make us stop. Fai looked down at me, a questioning look in his eyes.

"Where is Kuro-puu?" I asked, half concerned that he could be asleep a few feet away. He laughed a bit before rolling off of me.

"Kuro-tan disappeared somewhere, I suppose we should go find him." The wizard told me, sitting up and straightening his clothes. I pouted, wanting to stay in bed a bit longer, but figured it was probably better to get up now than risk Kurogane walking in on us. I got up from the futon and waved my hand in front of myself, using my magic to change my disheveled outfit to a clean yellow dress with a brown jacket, fixing my hair to where it was up in a bun as well.

"I feel much better now~" I sighed happily, glad to be in a new outfit.

"Hyuu~! You've gotten good at that, Ma-cha!" Fai told me.

"Th—Thanks." I smiled, blushing a bit, "Shall we go find Kuro-burrow?" He nodded and we left the room.

"Lets look this way!" Fai said, pointing to the right. I nodded and we headed down the outdoor corridor. It wasn't long before we found the swordsman, sitting alone staring off into space.

"H—He looks so sad…" I spoke softly, noticing the look in the swordsman's eyes. I could almost feel the pain in his heart just by looking at him.

"Kuro-puu!" Fai called out, "Why don't we go see if we can find Syaoran and the others?"

"Sure." He said simply, without even a retort to Fai's nickname.

"The land that you came from, it's called Japan isn't it?" Fai asked as I sat down next to our friend, "We ran in to Tomoyo a little while ago and you say that this place reminds you of your home, so I was wondering if maybe you're homesick? With all these reminders around it would be understandable."

"Go away." Kurogane said simply.

"Just asking." Fai sighed as I placed my hand on his arm causing him to flinch away from me.

"It's your wish to return to your home world," I told him, putting my hand back on his arm despite the glare he was shooting down at me, "It's okay to miss it."

"We are all friends after all." Fai said, causing Kurogane's glare to shift upward.

"You're one to talk magician." He barked, "You don't entirely open up about yourself either." I wanted to say something to defend him… but I couldn't. Kurogane was right… How much did I really know about Fai?

"That's not necessarily true." The blonde replied, his back turned to us. I could sense worry radiating off of him.

"Yesterday, when we were talking to that Souseki guy, he mentioned the name Ashura. The name meant something to you, but you never explained why." Kurogane pointed out. Suddenly, I could sense nothing but terror from Fai. The magician remained silent for a long moment before we heard Souseki speak from around the corner.

"What have you fools done?" He asked.

"Oh my, looks like something's gone wrong!" Fai smiled over his shoulder, relieved for a distraction. Kurogane stood up with an irritated sigh and began to walk toward the source of the voice. I followed quickly him, barely hearing Fai mumble something behind us. I tried not to overthink everything as we came closer to the voice. I looked over my shoulder to see if Fai was following as we neared a corner.

"Hey!" Kurogane exclaimed as I walked right into him, unaware that he had stopped.

"S—Sorry." I apologized, rubbing my hurt face from where I hit him.

"Just watch where you're going." He told me as Fai caught up to us.

"Sir, we were trying to protect the town." A man said, drawing our attention back to the matter at hand.

"What ever your reasons may be, you are not to lay a hand on that troupe, is that clear?" Souseki told three of his men.

"Hmm." I heard Fai say behind me as he placed a hand on my lower back.

"Good. Now tell me, were any of them hurt? Was anyone even slightly injured?" The man asked his men.

"No, they're fine. Its us that got beaten up a bit." One of the men said.

"One of them had incredible kicking skills considering that it was just a little kid." Another man said, catching our attention.

"We fought the best we could, but she was amazing for such a young girl." The third man explained. I heard Fai sigh as tension left all of us.

"I thought they might be talking about Syaoran, but I guess I was wrong." Fai said.

"Nah it couldn't be him." Kurogane told us.

"But what if it was him?" I asked, catching the swordsman by surprise, "Like if he had to disguise himself or something."

"Why would he be dressed like a girl!?" Kurogane barked.

"I don't know. Why are a bunch of random people from different worlds traveling together to collect feathers in different dimensions?" I asked him, a bit annoyed that Syaoran being in disguise seemed so unbelievable when everything we were doing should be impossible. The taller man made a fist and gently knocked it against my head in a faux-punch.

"You don't have to be such a brat." He sighed. I knocked his hand away, laughing a bit before calling him a jerk.

We spent the rest of the day looking for our friends but with no luck.

"Where could they be?" I whined, throwing myself onto the futon in our room.

"Who knows?" Kurogane said, sitting on the walkway outside our door.

"We'll find them! We just have to keep looking tomorrow." Fai told us optimistically, shrugging off his two coats and sitting on the ground next to me.

"Can't you use your new and improved magic to find them, kid?" the ninja asked me.

"I don't know." I replied honestly, holding my hands above my head and allowing some gold sparks to move around my fingertips, "I'm still figuring everything out."

"A lot of help you are." He whined.

"Aww, is Kuro-puu being impatient?" Fai teased, causing me to laugh a bit.

"Shut up!" he barked back. A moment later, the ground began to shake violently.

"What's happening now?" Fai asked as we all rose to our feet.

"An earthquake?" I suggested following the two men outside. The second I stepped outside the room, I felt a huge amount of energy calling out from where we had seen the statue last night. We all ran to the statue to find it glowing. There was a strange feeling in the air, as though a power were trying to pull the statue and all of us with it somewhere else.

"What is this?" Kurogane asked.

"It's the sky! Look over there!" Fai pointed out causing us to look up. I gasped in surprise seeing a large tear in the sky, pink and purple lights coming from it.

"The sky is… is it splitting?" Kurogane asked, as startled as I was. I gasped once more as Fai pulled me to where I was pressed against him.

"Stay close." He said, sounding concerned.

"Right." I told him, unable to take my eyes off of the sky, "What is that weird feeling that this thing is emitting?" I asked him.

"I don't know." Fai replied, holding me tighter.

"Everyone is so scared…" I said to myself, feeling fear surrounding us from the people of this world.

"Do you think this has anything to do with the princess' feather?" Kurogane asked.

"I don't know." Fai replied, looking from the statue up to the sky "But still, I can feel extraordinary power coming from it. Whatever that thing is."

"They're so sad…" I told my friends, feeling heartbreak coming from the rip.

"What's this?" Souseki asked, suddenly appearing from behind us, "The statue of Yasha… it's… it's crying tears of blood again." We watched as the statue's right eye began to bleed. I couldn't stop myself this time; I raised my hand to cover my nose and mouth in an attempt to block out the reek of the smell. Fai pulled me closer, allowing me to bury my face into his chest.

"The only thing I feel coming from it is war and death." I heard Kurogane say as he pulled out his sword.

"Yes, I feel it too. And it's getting closer." Fai replied, moving one of his hands to the back of my head in an attempt to ease my discomfort.

"So… So much blood." I coughed out. Suddenly, a bright pink light shone from the statue, bringing a strong wind with it. I felt Fai's grip tighten as he turned his back on Yasha. Once the wind slowed, I looked back up at the sky to see a large moon showing through the rip.

"Hey! What the?" I heard Kurogane gasp. I looked up at them to see them looking down. I followed their gaze to find a large circle with an intricate design surrounding us.

"Um… We're leaving so soon?" Fai asked as a pink barrier began to form around us.

"Bu—But what about the others!?" I said in surprise. A moment later we were moving away from the last world in a pink vortex, but the smell of blood stuck with me. After a few minutes, we emerged from the tunnel, landing in a new world.

"ÅıÇÎ &ÏÓ ÅÔ∏ÒÂ Mai?" I heard Fai ask me something in a foreign language.

"Wh—What?" I asked, hoping I misheard him. He frowned, realizing what was happing.

"Oh fuck. Not this again." Kurogane said in Japanese.
