Oheyo everyone!.
I'm super sorry for the long wait for the chapter, I know you probably all hate me now. :(
The ECE program I'm taking this term is a lot more writing then I thought it would be, so I've been kind of burnt out.
My apologies once more!
Here's the newest chapter...
Chapter 54: Death Is When The Monsters Get You.
October 13th X794
Sting's POV
Sabertooth Guild Hall
To say he was nervous was an understatement as he watched his wife pack to go to Fairy Tail on the fourteenth, he couldn't understand why she wanted to do this, was it necessary for her to get over this hill she seemed to insist she was stuck on? Lucy was walking back and forth carrying baby things and clothes for both him and herself for the two day trip, it was October and raining out, perfect weather for a death, specifically a death for the one who had tortured his beloved.
"Do you have to do this Luce?" he questioned her silently. She paused for a moment and looked over to where he was seated on the bed. it was night time and Mitsu was asleep in her crib already, they were getting ready to as well, but Lucy had found it more important to pack then to go to sleep. Throughout the three years he'd known Lucy she had grown immensely, she was always strong, but at that point she had been stuck in a rut, poked and prodded by the people she loved the most, he truly found it amazing how much she had changed.
"Yes, I need to do this Sting, you know that" she said simply and went right back to filling a baby bag full of diapers.
"I know, I know. I just don't want to see you get hurt" he said as he followed her every movement with his eyes. She was a vision of perfection, and she only got more beautiful as the days came and went. Her hair was swinging back and forth, hanging near her mid-back in loose curls that would undoubtedly fall out as she slept beside him. her nightgown was a purple silk that cut off mid-thigh and it was distracting to say the least, but he had other things to be concerned with at the moment.
"She's already hurt me, what more could she do? Besides I kind of want to thank her" Lucy giggled slightly. Sting was shocked, thank that little hairless takeover mage for what exactly, ruining her life? He couldn't believe the words coming out of his wife's mouth.
"What do you mean thank her, are you crazy?" He asked with raised eyebrows. Lucy was crazy as well as beautiful it seemed, well he always knew that his blonde wife was a little out there, but he never thought she was this crazy!
"I want to thank her for the wonderful life she gave me of course!" She chirped as she jumped on the bed next to him, having finished the last of the packing, all they needed now were the things that had to wait until morning, like toothbrushes.
Sting smiled slightly at that, but it was still no excuse.
"You almost died because of that crazy girl doing what she did!" he hadn't meant to raise his voice, but somehow it came out as a loud growl, which made Lucy glare at him slightly.
"I know that! I'm not stupid, Sting. I want to ask her if it was worth it of course" Lucy said with a mischievous smirk, which made Sting question his wife's sanity for fourth time that day.
"Fine, alright, I'll leave it alone. Let's get some sleep. Love you Luce." He whispered as he turned off the bedside lamp and cuddled up next to his blonde haired partner, who sighed in bliss as the warmth of her husband lulled her into sleep.
Lisanna's POV
October 13th X794
Fairy Tail Infirmary.
She was in pain. She knew she didn't have long left, as Macaou had returned to normal and the last one was due to 'turn' in two days time.
'Dammit!' she cursed in her head, she didn't want to die, but it was inevitable now. No, she wasn't scared to die, in fact she welcomed death as if it were an old friend. She simply hated the fact that she could not personally see to Lucy Heartfilia's demise, she would have left that in someone else's hands had she the chance too, but unfortunately she wouldn't be able to leave the blonde wenches in the hand of anyone else.
"Lisanna, Lisanna, Lisanna" A voice yelled from somewhere in the darkness of the infirmary, it sounded as if the voice was coming from everywhere, by now the hairless takeover mage knew that voice by heart.
"Lucy..." she growled out, as best as she could with her collapsing lungs. Laughter echoed through the cold air of the infirmary, Lisanna attempted to wrap her blankets more tightly around her as the chill seemed to creep closer and closer.
"Hahaha. Have you remembered yet Lisanna dearest?" The voice taunted. This seemed to be Lucy's favorite line, for she said it every time she arrived to see the dying girl.
"Of course not, you won't tell me!" She said quietly. She realized that arguing with a hallucination would get her no where so it was best to just keep herself calm as best as she could, but even if the blonde was just something her dying mind made up she still annoyed the hell out of her.
"Tut, Tut! You know I'm coming for you on the fifteenth" the illusion said with a malicious grin, her eyes lit up in a blaze of hate, an emotion Lisanna wasn't sure she'd ever seen on the blondes face since she'd met her.
"So what. What are you going to do, kill a dead girl?" Lisanna questioned with a tilt of her head as she crossed her arms over her chest, she gave the illusion her best smug look but only got a laugh in return.
"Of course not! Lucy's got such a kind heart you know...She's forgiven you" The hallucination said as she placed a hand over her heart and gave a soft smile before returning to the malicious glare from before. That glare always sent shivers down Lisanna's spine when she saw it, she saw the bloodlust in the ghost's eyes as they roamed over her deteriorating figure.
"I don't care if that bitch has forgiven me or not, I still want her dead!" Lisanna tried to scream but ended up having a coughing fir instead, the hallucination somehow grabbed a pitcher of water near the bed and made her drink from it, but she was so tired that she thought nothing of it.
"I hate her, I hate her!" Lisanna cried out as soon as she got over her coughing fit. She looked to the blonde who was looking out the window, her being was silhouetted by the moon as it cast its silver light down on the world.
The takeover mage gasped as the blonde turned slowly to look at her, Lucy's eyes cast a dark look, glaring almost with a silvery tint to them because of the moon light, her face etched into a tight frown and her body was sparking out of existence in a golden light which made it look as though her skin were falling off and then disappearing into oblivion.
The blonde walked closer to Lisanna, twirled around once before catching the frail girls face in between her hands, giving her a peck on the forehead before lowering her lips down to her left ear...
"I hope you know...That death is when the monsters get you" after saying that the woman pulled back her head, a cruel smile on her face, eyes twinkling in disdain, then she burst into a radiant dust. Lisanna knew that would be the last time she ever saw the hallucination.
Back At Sabertooth.
Lucy's POV
The blonde looked over to her husband who was sleeping peacefully, his blonde hair tumbled around his head in a mess that would take a while to comb out in the morning, his blue striped pajama bottoms slid down a tad bit as he kicked the blankets off himself sometime during the last couple of hours and she could see his white boxers that made his tanned skin look even more delicious then it already did.
Her eyes travelled to his chest which was rising and falling steadily, and the way his lips parted as he snored very lightly, his nose crinkled every now and again, and he moved one of his hands over his abs time and time again before deciding the best place to put his hand was in the front of his pajama bottoms, Lucy thought it was weird of him, but never questioned it.
She slipped out of bed silently as she had done so many nights before and went to sit out on the balcony, curling herself up in a blanket to fight off the biting cold of fall. Her eyes travelled up to the sky where she was met with the view of a billion stars and the silvery light of the moon.
She thanked her lucky stars for this life, time and time again when she sat out on the balcony like this, Sting had actually had it made in their bedroom when he found her looking out the window one night, he knew she needed to be outside at night on most occasions, because that's when her beloved stars were out.
She thought about tomorrow, her family would be travelling to Magnolia in the morning so she could see the person who had given her such a beautiful life, Lucy really did want to thank her somewhat, and she also wanted to forgive her for doing what she did. She was angry yes, but she had gotten the opportunity to become a mother and a wife thanks to the curse, and she was thankful. If Lisanna hadn't hated her so much would she still be here right now, gazing up at the stars with a loving husband and a beautiful daughter inside?
Lucy doubted that, surely if she had been with Fairy Tail still there would have never been time with all the craziness that always seemed to come along with that guild, now that she thought about it carefully she wouldn't have wanted to start a family at Fairy Tail, she didn't want to risk her child getting hurt all the time in guild brawls and dark guild shenanigans.
No, this life was peaceful and what she desired now. Until of course Mitsu grew older and then Lucy would get back on the grind, taking less crazy adventures of course.
Lucy smiled as she touched a specific key, that glowed faintly as if to tell her they were back from their mission. The blonde called the spirit out and nodded when she was told of the events that had transpired over the course of the evening before she sent the spirit back to the celestial world.
The celestial mage stood up and clutched the key to her chest as she looked up to the stars.
'Thank you...Gemini.."
