Our Paradise
(Bella's POV)
I smiled as I laid across the large king sized bed with Edward. I know I've said it multiple times that I hate being spoiled, and I hate it when Edward get gifts that obviously cost too much, but this island...It's the best gift I've ever gotten. It wasn't just a gift for me, it was a gift for the kids, and for our family. Our children could spend the next couple of years growing up in an innocent environment.
Edward and I have our own master suite here on the island and it's beautiful. It reminded me of the bedroom on Isle Esme. It had cream colored walls and a big bed in the center with a white comforter and red throw pillows.
"I love it here," I said as I rolled around to face my husband. Edward wrapped his arms around me and his face showed nothing but pure love.
"I know, love. I love it here, too," Edward said, kissing my forehead.
"We should get dressed," I announced, hearing multiple yawns coming from the kids' rooms. "Plus I kind of want to see the rest of the island."
"Of course my love," he said as he went to kiss my lips gently. I grinned against his soft lips and closed my eyes for a second, taking in the moment.
"Momma! Daddy!" I heard the calls of our children. I pull away from Edward quickly, both of us smiling.
"Coming!" I yelled back to them. Edward and I go to put some clothes on using our vampire speed. I got into a white sundress and flip flops instead of my usual jeans and t-shirt, and Edward went to grab a button down shirt and shorts. I couldn't help but smile at my handsome husband.
"You are beautiful, Bella Cullen," he whispered to me as he planted a kiss on my lips.
"As are you, my Edward," I said. He chuckled as I go to kiss his jaw.
"Momma!"
"Coming!" I yelled back to the kids as Edward and I finish it off with one last kiss. I giggled as we then head out of the room towards our children.
The moment we left our room we were greeted with Renesmee and Masen running around the house at vampire speed while Lizzy was hollering in her crib. I go to pick up my youngest daughter first before heading back to the others. When I get back out into the hallway I am pleased to see my kids are both holding onto Edward's hands, ready to go. Renesmee was dressed in a cover up over her new purple bathing suit while Masen wore his bathing shorts and a gray t-shirt that read 'Forks' on it.
"What are we going to do today?" Renesmee asked us as we all headed towards the main floor.
"We're going to explore the island as a family," Edward told her.
"Okay," she said as we all all entered the kitchen. After Renesmee had a quick breakfast of eggs, and I gave Masen and Lizzy each a bottle of blood, we headed out. I made sure to bring a bag with me filled with two blood bottles for Lizzy and Masen, with some food for Renesmee.
We walked up the beach, watching the many different boats in the distance. I held hands with Edward as my dress blew in the wind. I had Lizzy in one of my arms as she looked around the island admiring all the different creatures and wildlife. Renesmee and Masen ran ahead of us. The two of them splashed around in the small waves on the shoreline and picked up multiple shells and rocks.
We walked all the way to the tip of the island where there was a part that reminded me of a jetty with all the large rocks surrounding the area. I sat on one of the flatter rocks with Lizzy while Edward took Masen and Renesmee swimming. Joy swelled in me watching Edward chased our children around in the water. Lizzy was taking a nap on my lap, causing me to grin as I ran my fingers through her hair. I always wanted to have moments like this with the kids. Coming from a broken home of divorce, I never had many family moments like this growing up. Charlie and Renee did take me on a trip together once for about a weekend for my sixteenth birthday, but that wasn't very fun since they fought for the majority of the trip.
I chuckled as I watched Edward gently toss the kids into the water while they giggled up a storm. I noticed Lizzy woke up and was watching at her siblings as well.
"Can I go too?" she asked me via her power. I nodded as I pick my youngest up and let her splash around in the small crashing waves.
My gaze met Edward's and I couldn't help send him a smile. He smiled as well, but that was until he got dragged down by Masen and Renesmee into the water. My big strong vampire husband was getting tackled by our small children. I cover my mouth, trying to contain my laughter.
"You think it's funny?" Edward said in a teasing tone as he spit some water out of his mouth. I looked to see my kids giggling too as they climbed off their father.
"Edward?" I questioned seeing a mischievous look in his eyes. My husband at vampire speed rushed over to me in a nano second and picked me up in his arms. I squealed as he brought me into the water as well. Instead of yelling at him, I laughed as he threw me into the water with him. Renesmee then swam towards me with Masen. I looked at Edward who sent me a lopsided grin and began to slowly swim away from me.
"Renesmee," I dressed my eldest daughter, my gaze not leaving Edward's swimming form.
"Yeah, Momma?" she chimed.
"Can you please Lizzy and Masen for me? And stay out of the water if you can, I need to go after your father," I ordered her.
"Okay Momma," Renesmee said, giggling as I then chased after Edward. He chuckled as we ended up on the top of a palm tree not very far away from the kids, so we could at least see and hear them from up here.
"You got me," he said, chuckling. I was surprised seeing my husband this playful, but I couldn't care less. I loved seeing him so carefree.
"Come on, let's go to the kids. We're not being very good parents right now," I chided.
"Before we do," He said as he went to take both of my hands in his. "I wanted to tell you that I arranged it so that the kids can stay at Esme and Carlisle's tonight for a sleepover with Lily and Aidan. While they're gone, you and I, Mrs. Cullen, will recreate our wedding night." I look up at him gleefully and I plant a kiss on his lips.
"Thank you," I whispered to him.
"It was no problem. I just want to spend some nice quality time with my beautiful wife and show her how much I love her," he said, smiling at me. I felt my undead heart melt as I planted one last kiss on his lips. I really don't know what I ever did to deserve him as a husband, and get three beautiful kids. I really don't.
We then climb down from our spot and go back to the kids. My dress was soaked, but I didn't care. I went to scoop a chuckling Masen and Edward took Lizzy while Renesmee trotted in between us. She had both of our hands as we gently swung her back and forth.
We all then went back to our new home to change before we headed back outside again. Emmett and Rosalie would be picking us up in one of the boats. As we waited for them to arrive, the kids rocked together in a hammock while Edward and I watched them. The moment was just too cute, so I decided to take my camera out to take a picture of them. Renesmee was on the left, Masen was on the right as he hugged his sister with Lizzy cradled in the middle. All of them had perfect little smiles on their faces as the camera flash went off.
Something about this island brought out the best in us. It was like our own little paradise were our family could just relax, and the kids could be innocent like this. I know for the next few years this is going to be great.
Emmett and Rosalie came in no time with Lily and Aidan ridding in the front of the boat.
"Come on, Lily and Aidan are here!" Renesmee exclaimed when she noticed the boat. She and the others began to run in front of Edward and I as they rush towards our main dock.
We have our own little dinghy, like Rose and Emmett, and a few water toys for the kids. We have three different water tubes and even a jet ski, but I'm a little nervous about the jet ski. Edward and I agreed until the kids got older that they cannot go on it alone, either Edward or I would go on with them. We also had two kayaks and a tiny little sailboat.
There was a big old shed we had on the property filled with a bunch of outdoor and water activities, so I have a feeling the kids will rarely be bored. Even if they use all the toys and get bored, they have four islands they can explore on and do almost anything they want. Edward and I would be fine letting them go out into the open world without feeling like we had to watch them every five seconds. This island was a freedom paradise for the kids.
We then go to board the ship with the others and head to Isle Cullen. Alice and Jasper were there with Esme and Carlisle already. I noticed Esme was starting to prepare dinner for the kids, which I was thankful for. It's nice to know Esme enjoys cooking for the kids. It's one of her favorite pass times.
I looked around the new Cullen home and admired it. I didn't see the inside yet, but by judging it now I have to say it truly has the Cullen charm. There was a large pool in the back of the home ready for the kids to use. I'm sure they'll love coming here to play in the pool while the adults can go back to our own homes..and relax.
I turn to my husband as he finished talking to Emmett. "Where will the kids be tutored?" I asked.
It is a question that has been in the back of my mind for awhile now.
"They'll be in here," Edward said to me as he guided me towards another room. When Edward opens the door for me, I gasped when I saw what was there.
In front of me was the largest library I've ever seen in my entire life. Every square inch of wall was covered by books while a large window overlooked the beautiful ocean. In one corner were a few tables and chairs, set in a classroom setting. Part of this reminded me of a public library, but much, much more grander.
"It has any book imaginable," Edward said to me as I stared in awe at all the books."We have everything we need to teach the kids. They'll be educated in only the best."
"This is fantastic," I breathed, wrapping my arms around my husband's torso. As the two of us stood there, suddenly an idea crept into my head. I smirked as I looked up at my husband.
"What is it, love?" Edward asked me softly.
"I was just thinking...Maybe, sometime in the future, I could go to college to become a teacher," I said to Edward shyly. "Maybe I could start getting ready to go to college and maybe major in education. Take some online courses or something...I just really want to maybe get prepared for college. Maybe I could try private tutoring for awhile."
"Of course love. I'm happy to help you or the kids," he said to me.
"Thanks," I told my husband. "And maybe in the future you and I could go to college, when the kids are older. We do have eternity, so it's not like I have to rush everything," I added.
"We can try it out when the kids are older," he said. "I can help you with private tutoring here on the islands and when the kids are ready to leave, and they're much older, we can move to a place with a college of your choice. By doing this it could allow the kids could at least experience high school and what it's like to be amongst humans their own age."
"That sounds quite lovely actually," I said, smiling. "But that won't be for a long time. Right now...Right now everything is too perfect."
"I know love, and I'm happy you love it. Now come on, we'll pick up the kids later. Carlisle and Esme are going to be watching them," Edward said to me, grabbing my hand. I grinned in delight as we rush back into the kitchen.
When we got there, the kids had just finished their dinner and were currently outside in the pool with Carlisle and Esme. Masen, Lily, Aidan, and Renesmee all splashed after their grandfather while Esme played with Lizzy in the shallow end of the pool. I had to admit, it was kind of funny seeing Carlisle in swim trunks as he played with the kids in the pool. His playful side really surprised me.
I know Esme and Carlisle couldn't have kids on their own and 'adopted' the rest of us, but our kids were a way for them to have parental feelings as well, just like Rose when Renesmee was born.
Edward and I then headed out of the house and into Rose and Emmett's boat where they dropped us off first. When we stepped on the land we didn't waste any time as we ran towards our bedroom. I swear I heard Emmett hollering and hooting something unintelligent as we left the area.
Edward and I then began to passionately kiss against the bedroom wall, and soon found ourselves laying across the bed, our bodies intwined with another's.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I know..I loved you too," he whispered back as he went to kiss me once again. I let my fingers run through his hair.
These islands, they were truly paradise. Our paradise for the rest of eternity.
