Wow... I just have four more chapters to write, and then it is finished. Well, 2 numbered chapters, the final interlude and the epilogue to be precise...
Thank you all for everything. I really appreciate the amount of reads this story has got, and you were all awesome. :)
I have come up with a schedule of Multichapter fics that I will start up over the next couple of years if I obey my 2 fanfics at a time rule.
1) Groundhog Day (CM)
2) The Hero with Cream Coloured Wings (CM)
3) Unusual Experiences (CM)
4) To Witness a Mockingjay (HG)
5) Second Chance (Sherlock)
6) Fantasia (CM/Sherlock)
7) Broken Fangs (CM)
8) All Just a Dream (CM)
9) The Room (CM/The Room crossover)
There will also be one shots, but I'll go into details about that later.
Anyways, let's get down to the chase. Here we go!
Chapter 48- Amphitere
Meanwhile, it was enjoying flying around the city, destroying people's homes, their workplaces and even their families.
The smell of burning flesh reached its nostrils, and the smell pleased it immensely. It was, after all, feeling hungry indeed. It bent down its neck down to ground level, and picked up the nearest corpse- that of a child- and began to slowly chew the body in its mouth. It smiled- the meal tasted good and all, but it needed more, a lot more if it was to be satisfied.
It continued to fly around the city or Cornelia, looking around for more of those bodies to eat, before finding some trapped in a wrecked building. Most of them were children's bodies, but several were adult corpses. Again, it continued to munch happily, and had a good time roasting the life out of the people that were trying to kill it, or put out the fires that it had caused.
That's when it saw a small, metallic thing move closer towards its territory. It knew from experience that you would often find food sitting in them, ready to be roasted and eaten.
It smiled, before breathing fire at the metallic thing.
He quickly saw the three people get out from the car. They were adults. Ergo, they would have much more meat on their bones than the children.
It was having a field day.
All it had to do was to breathe fire at the three adults, and then… dinner time.
Meanwhile, one of the adults was rambling on about something to do with Amphiteres, whatever they were. While he was talking, it breathed fire at the three, hoping that they would die, and thus give him some more food.
However, instead they quickly dodged and extinguished the flames, before trying to blast some of their own fire at it.
They were not like the others, it was certain of that.
They were a threat.
They needed to be killed and eaten.
It was looking forward to that.
Meanwhile, the three had realised that it was after them, and was looking for their blood. They also realised that it could not be reasoned with and the only way to stop this was by killing it.
And so, the final fight commenced.
