A/N: Sorry for the wait, it was pretty hard trying to make a Romanian Opera of Dracula in the language. So since this chapter has a song in the Romanian language, I decided to put the translated English lyrics right after the line in the () so that way you guys know right away what is being sung instead of having to scroll to the bottom of the page to find it. So anyway, here's the chapter, you guys enjoy it

Chapter Fifty-Three: Romania Debut

"Oh god! Erik!" Christine cried out as she released hard over Erik. Her hands gripped his shoulder as she rode her climax. She felt his arms around her loosen a bit.

"You know, we really should get back to reviewing your lines."

"Are you blaming me on this…distraction?" She asked him, smiling as she pulled her clothes tighter around her. Getting off of Erik's lap, she sat next to him as he fixed his pants, but kept his shirt off.

"It was a pleasurable distraction." He smiled and kisses her cheek. She giggled slightly as she finished fixing her clothes. "Come now, we should finish going over your lines. You're debut is in a few weeks and you still have to memorize a few scenes. This opera is longer than a two hour musical and also in a different language. A few people are unsure that an American can do it."

"Well I'll just have to prove to them that I can do it, besides I know the composer very well." She smiled at him. "But you're right; we should get back to work." She looked away from him to the music sheets that miraculous were still on the piano. Erik nodded and started to play the intro to one of the songs when Christine saw Isabella coming into the room. "Isabella!" Christine smiled as her daughter came running into the room and hugged her mother.

"Are you rehearsing with…Mr. Dracul?" She still didn't know what to really call Erik. Christine had told her everything, but yet she couldn't accept Erik as her father.

"Yes, I'm rehearsing with your father." Christine glanced over at Erik who wasn't looking at them, making her sigh. She looked back at her daughter. "Hey, why don't you play the song for Erik so he can sing the male's part for me?" She suggested to Isabella who eagerly nodded. She sat down on the bench and started to play the song. Erik stood up to stand next to the organ, watching and smiling proudly. Christine waited until her cue in the music to start singing the song. She tried not to use the music sheet, wanting to see if she could sing the song without looking at the lyrics. Erik watched and listened, hearing if Christine made any mistakes. He sighed when she did and has Isabella stop playing. "I'm sorry; it's always that one line that gets me every time." She apologized to him.

"It's alright; we just need to work on it more then."

"Can we go back to it and try another song?" She asked him.

"Okay…"He nodded and allowed Isabella to pick the next song. The young girl picked a song and began to play. Christine recognized the intro and quickly tried to remember the lyrics.

"Te-am urmărit în întuneric (I followed you into darkness)
M-am apuca de treabă în cele mai mari păcate (I plunged myself into the greatest sins)
Dă-mi mâna în eternitate (Give me your hand in eternity)
Și susțin mine acum mireasa (And claim me now your bride)
O mireasa, cu o rochie neagra (A bride with a black dress)
Te voi urma până la capăt (I will follow you to the end)
Cui îi pasă dacă dragostea este oarbă (Who cares if love is blind)
Durata de viață este fericirea (This life is bliss)
În cele din urmă știu că inima mea (At last I know my heart)
"

Isabella listened as the masked man and her mother's voice came together. She never heard their voices together before and realized how beautiful it was. Their voices blended perfectly, creating a beautiful song.

"Ne vom trăi viețile noastre (We'll live our lives)
Le vom trăi din nou (We'll live them once again)
Există întotdeauna un mâine (There's always a tomorrow)
Există întotdeauna un mâine (There's always a tomorrow)
Există întotdeauna o mai noapte (There's always one more night)"

Christine looked up at Erik, locking her eyes with hers as she sang the two lines.

"Te-am auzit înainte de a vorbi (I hear you before you speak
Sunt cu tine oriunde te afli (I'm with you wherever you are)"

"Când ai dormit sunt in visele tale (When you sleep I'm in your dreams)
Eu pot citi gândurile de departe (I can read your thoughts from afar)"

Isabelle glanced between your mother and him, seeing something in their eyes as they sang. She looked at the masked man as he began his lines.

"Prima dată când am văzut fața ta (The first time I saw your face)
Știam că trebuie să fac pe a mea (I knew I had to make you mine)
Am simțit o accelerare a pulsului (I felt a quickening of a pulse)
M-am simțit un fior pe șira spinării (I felt a shiver down my spine)
Tu ești ales unul dintre toate cele pe care le-am iubit (You're the chosen one out of all those I've loved)
Și toate singur secole mele (And all my centuries alone)"

Now it was time for Christine's line; she kept her eyes locked with Erik's while Isabella played.

"Încă de când am văzut fața ta (Ever since I saw your face)
Am încercat să nege că am fost fără speranță în dragoste (I've been trying to deny that I was hopelessly in love)
Pe care nu am putut pleca (That I could never leave)
Acum știu acest lucru nu poate fi anulată (Now I know this can't be undone)
Nu voi întoarce de la lumina (No I'll turn away from light)
Și să îmbrățișeze noaptea ta fără sfârșit (And embrace your endless night)"

Isabella could hear the love in her mother's voice and realized that she wanted to be what he was.

"M-am născut să te iubesc (I was born to love you)
M-am născut să vrei (I was born to want you)
Acestea sunt adevăruri simple, pe care încerc să-și trădeze (These are simple truths that I try to betray)"

"Dacă mă iubești cu adevărat (If you truly love me)
Dovedește-mi că mă iubești (Prove to me you love me)
Eliberează-mă și du-te înapoi la frumusetile de lumină (Free me and go back to the beauties of light)
Eu nu pot otrăvi viața ta (I can't poison your life)
Eu nu te pot lăsa să pofta de păcat (I can't let you lust for sin)
Nu aveți posibilitatea să glisați în lumea mea de setea de sânge și durere (I can't drag you into my world of bloodlust and pain)
Viata mea nu este viață, la toate, este sumbru și neiertător (My life is no life at all, it is bleak and unforgiving)
Hrănirea pe sângele unui strain (Feeding on a stranger's blood)
Prins de noapte (Trapped by the night)
Care este utilizarea de viață dor (What's the use of longing life)
Atunci când viața nu merită trăită (When life is not worth living)
Dacă vă place de mine ma eliberezi și să-mi ating lumina (If you love me set me free and let me touch the light"

Isabella held back a tear as she realized that even though this man was a vampire, he loved her mother too much to make her like him. She saw that love in his eyes as he sang

"Te rog, nu mă face să termine înainte de a fi început (Please don't make me end this before it's begun)"

Christine couldn't help but shed a tear, really not wanting what they had started all those years ago to end.

"Dă-mi adevărat căderea nopții (Give me the true nightfall)
Dă-mi înapoi în întuneric (Give me back to darkness)
Dă-mi înapoi sufletul meu (Give me back my soul)
Și pas în soare (And step into the sun)"

"M-am născut să te iubesc (I was born to love you)"

"A trăit și a murit pentru a te iubesc (Lived and died to love you)"

Their voices came together once more.

"M-am născut pentru a iubi, și au nevoie de tine, și să te duci liber... (I was born to love, and need you, and let you go free…)"

Isabella stopped the playing and looked at her parents, a tear in her eye. Christine looked away and glanced at her daughter, seeing the tear. She gently gave her daughter a hug, whispering a few soothing words. Erik took the moment to leave the room, giving them a mother daughter moment.

Over the next few days, Christine rehearsed with Erik during the time she wasn't rehearsing with the company. Since the moment in the music room, Erik hasn't touched her. He wanted her to rehears and also didn't want to get caught by Isabella. She now spent time with them when they rehearsed together, watching Erik as he either played the organ or sang with her mother. Slowly, she grew curious of him and wanted to learn more about him than what her mother told her. Though she tried to her best to talk to him, he always seemed to push her away. So far, the only way to learn more about him is when she watched him play or sing. He would show his soft side when singing a duet with Christine or dangerous side when he fought with Nadir. One day while Christine was in Bucharest, Isabella decided to go find Erik. She had asked Meg and found out that he's up by the cave with the wolves. She ran up to the cave to see him sitting down on the ground with Zeus and also the wolves around him.

"Hey Isabella." Nadir greeted her, making Erik look over to his daughter. "I didn't think I'd ever see you up here."

"I wanted to see…Mr. Dracul." She said, looking at the masked man. She watched as he stood up and motioned her to follow him as he walked away. Zeus followed his master as they walked on a path.

"I'm surprised you wanted to see me."

"Well I wanted to more about you." He stopped and looked down at her. "Mother has not told me much about your past before she met you." She paused for a moment. "I want to know more about my father and maybe know more about myself…like why am I growing at a fast rate?" Erik sighed and sat down on a boulder, looking at his daughter.

"The reason you grow faster than normal humans is because of the vampire genes in you. You'll grow faster than others until reaching a certain age and then you'll stop."

"W-Will I die then?" He shook his head.

"The only way you would die is if someone stabbed your heart and cut off your head." She flinched. "Sorry…"

"No it's okay; I want to know so I can be prepared. Mother told me that there are still vampire hunters."

"Yes there are, but only four vampires remain and one hybrid."

"Hybrid?" She didn't understand.

"Half human and half vampire…what you are…"

"Were you always a vampire?" She asked him, sitting down next to him on the boulder.

"No, I was a hybrid at first but then my father turned me into a full vampire. Lucky for you, you aren't fully as cursed as I am. You don't have the craving for blood and you can eat human food. However, you also have some gifts."

"I do?" He nodded. "Like what?"

"Well the obvious ones are that you can play music and sing, that you got from the both of us." She nodded, knowing that. "But you also have the ability to see clearly in the dark."

"That would explain why I'm afraid of the dark…" He nodded. "Can you teach me everything?" He looked at her with a bit of surprise in his eyes which she picked up. "Teach me more about vampires, please." She batted her eyes, a skill that she clearly got from her mother.

"That's your mother's trick." She giggled. "Alright, I'll teach you." Smiling, she hugged him.

"Thank you…dad." She finally said that word. Erik felt his heart melt slowly as he embraced his daughter. She finally accepted him as her father and now wanted to know more about his dark world.

Days passed and the night of the opera's first performance came. Christine hadn't been nervous during rehearsals, but once the day came, she was filled with nervous. Not only was she going to debut herself in Romania, but also sing in a different language and perform an opera composed by Erik. She was worried that she'd mess up a word or wouldn't be able to hold those high notes. She had been trained as musical singer, not an opera singer. But Erik had given her lessons and slowly, her voice developed for this opera.

As she waited in her dressing room, she looked at herself in the mirror. She had finished her hair, make-up and already was in her first costume; now she just waited. Her heart was racing a mile a minute and she knew that if Erik was nearby, he could hear it.

"Mother!" She turned her head to see Isabella running into the room and hugged her mother.

"There's my angel." She smiled as she hugged her daughter. Looking up, she saw Meg and Nadir come into the room with their two sons. Christine could see the hint of a baby bump on Meg and smiled. "Just can't keep your hands off of her, can you Nadir?" She giggled as Meg's cheeks turned red.

"Can you blame me?" He asked, kissing Meg on the cheek.

"Ew!" All three of the kids said together. Nadir just laughed and took the kids out of the room to give Meg and Christine alone time to talk.

"I still can't believe you're pregnant again." Christine said as Meg sat down in a chair.

"Neither can I, but we both agreed that it's our last child. After the baby is born, Erik is going to change me." Meg told her friend. "And what about you?"

"What about me?"

"Well I know that Erik hasn't really touched you as much as we thought he would."

"Well we have Isabella."

"And Nadir and I have twins, don't use the 'I have a kid excuse'." Christine just laughed. "No seriously, is there something going on between you two?" She asked.

"We've just been busy…and I know he's been recently spending time with Isabella." She smiled. "And he's still being hunted."

"Yeah that can affect a person." Both of them laughed. Christine glanced over at the door and saw Erik standing in the doorway. Meg looked back to see him and stood up. "Well I'll let you two 'talk' before the show starts." She walked out of the room as Christine rolled her eyes. Erik walked in and handed her a red rose with a black ribbon attached to the stem.

"Ah it's beautiful, thank you." She smiled, taking the rose. "I will admit, I'm kind of nervous."

"I can tell, your heart is racing."

"You and your senses…" She shook her head, smiling.

"You know the words though; you know the music by heart and also the story. You have nothing to fear."

"What if they don't like me though?" She asked him.

"I know for a fact that they'll love you just like I love you." She smiled and he leaded down to gently kiss her lips.

"And I love you…" She smiled as her lips returned his kiss. The kiss would have lengthened if the stage manager hadn't announced five minutes until the show would start. He broke the kiss as Christine stood up. "Here goes mothering…" She turned around to look at herself in the mirror. Though she couldn't see Erik's reflection, she knew he was still her. Taking a deep breathe; she closed her eyes to try and relax. She suddenly felt Erik's chest against her back as he mouth drew close to her ear.

"In moments, mere moments
Drums will roll
There you'll stand just like before

The crowd will hush
And then in one sweet rush
I will hear you sing once more…"

She turned around to face him, locking eyes with his. His hands took her gently as he brought them to his heart.

"And music, our music
Will swell and then unwind
Like two strands of melody at last entwined

Fulfill us, complete us
Make us whole…"

He gently cupped her cheek as their lips drew close to each other's.

"Seal our bond forever more

Tonight, for me
Embrace your destiny
Let me hear you sing once more!"

Before she could say anything back, he was gone. She saw the manage come to her room, telling her it's time for the opera to begin. Taking a deep breathe, she left the room to head to the stage. Erik had managed to sneak out and up into the ceiling of the opera house. He looked out at the audience as they took their seats. His eyes spotted Van Helsing sitting in the audience and felt his eyes change.

"Seal my fate tonight

I hate to have to cut the fun short
But the joke's wearing thin
Let the audience in
Let my opera begin!"

The audience rose to their feet once the final note was played by the orchestra and the curtains closed. Their clapping and cheers filled the room as they waited for the curtains to open again for the company bow. Meg was wiping the tears from her eyes, using the tissues that Nadir had provided for her while the boys cheered. Isabella clapped anxiously, waiting for her mother to appear again. Soon the curtains opened as the cast began to take their bows. When Christine appeared, she looked up to see the box full of the people she love clapping and cheering for them. She smiled and blew a kiss up to them before taking a bow to the rest of the audience. A member of the cast handed her flowers as they waited for the male lead to make his bow. Christine's eyes glanced up to see Erik smiling proudly at her. The full company took their big bow before thanking Erik for composing the opera. Several members asked him to make a quick speech which Christine knew he didn't want to. Though after the audience agreed, she watched him leave the box and appear on the stage soon after. He went to the middle of the stage and grabbed the microphone.

"Thanks for the heads up, guys." He joked, making the audience laugh. "I'll make this short since I know everyone is dying to get to the after-party and also get some kids to bed." He glanced up to the three kids in the box, making Meg nodded in agreement. "This opera was really a challenge for me to compose and took me several years, but I managed to finish it and I am very proud of the company for doing a fantastic performance of it. This opera is truly my baby and I thank the company and all of you for coming out to seeing." The room filled with applause. "I will also thank the person who actually inspired me to right this opera and who also happens to be tonight's leading lady, Miss Christine Daae…" He turned look at her while the audience clapped for her. He reached out his hand which she gladly took. He brought her hand up to his lips as he kissed her hand, making several people 'aw'. Looping his arm around her, he turned his head back to the audience while Christine leaned into him. "Thank you once again." He handed the microphone to a stage crew member and all of them took one final bow before the curtains closed one last time. He thanked the company again before walking with Christine back to her dressing room. Once they were in the room, he closed the room behind them.

"Ah, Christine, my Christine
What a triumph you gave me tonight
My Christine
All the dark silent years now set right
Ah, Christine…"

She smiled, knowing he was proud of her.

"The song was beautiful
It sounded beautiful
Every note, every word

And it felt beautiful
And I felt beautiful"

He smiled as his arms wrapped around her, pulling her to him. Her hands rested on his chest, smiling.

"Lost in the music once more
Feeling it rise up and soar
Alive once again"

His lips landed on hers, not caring anymore if someone would interrupt them. She gladly returned his kiss as her arms snaked around his neck, pulling him closer to her. Though they had to get ready for the after-party and press, both of them agreed it would okay if they were a little late.

They spent two hours at the after-party talking to press. Once the last person to talk to them finish, Erik decided to leave and Christine happily agreed to go with him. Nadir and Meg decided to stay with the boys and Isabella while Christine and Erik would return to the castle. Several people noticed them leave together, but the couple didn't care. Once they got back to the castle, Erik took her up to his room. He didn't care if Christine had another performance tomorrow and needed rest or that Van Helsing was back in Romania, all he cared about was making love to the woman that he loved and that's exactly what he did.

So the Romania song is the finale song from Dracula with some words changed. The English songs are from Love Never Dies and Phantom of the Opera: Before the Performance, a segment from either Twisted Every Way or Bravo Monsieur (whichever version you choose (movie or musical)) and Ah, Christine.

And now Isabella accepts Erik so they are all one big happy family...
