Chapter 53
Henry dropped the gun on the table. "Are you crazy? I'm not going to put a bullet in either of them. You can't make me choose," he yelled. He picked up the gun and aimed it at Terrence. "I should kill you."
Terrence smirked. "Try and see what happens." Henry was one second from pulling the trigger when Erica used her magic to will the gun to her hand.
"Henry, you can't do this. You don't shoot people. He's messing with your head. For now, just play the game," she stated. He looked at her but her eyes were unwavering. Honestly it was like looking at the younger Regina.
"She's not so dumb after all," Terrence said.
He took the gun out of Erica's hand. "However," he said grabbing her face, "magic isn't allowed." Erica jerked from him. He turned his focus on Henry. "You're in control Henry. You decide who gets to live or die."
He ordered Rachel to sit by Erica. Erica grabbed her hand to calm her down. "Henry, make the right choice," Erica prompted.
Henry pulled the trigger and nothing happened. The three let out a collective sigh.
"Keep going Henry," Erica said. "It's alright. You're doing fine."
Nothing happened when he fired again. His heart was thumping in his chest and his mind was going a mile a second. He looked at his wife and noticed her quiet resolve. Her hand was slowly rubbing her stomach.
He looked over at his sister who had her eyes closed. He wondered what was going through her mind.
"John, Jacob, can you hear me? Henry is here with us," she thought.
She waited when she heard their thoughts.
"Where are you?" she heard John. She opened her eyes taking in everything around her. She focused in on Henry and closed her eyes again. "Hurry," she thought.
She felt Terrence kick her. "Wake up sleeping beauty. This game isn't over." She remained quiet.
For Henry she was too quiet and he knew she was planning something. Henry narrowed his eyes and Erica gave him a small smile.
"Again Henry," Terrence prompted. Erica gave a slight nod and she quietly used her magic to move Henry's hand in front of her. She made him fire and a bullet shot out. His eyes widened at her quickness.
He heard his scream and turned around to see Terrence on the ground bleeding. Erica quickly got up and pulled Rachel up. "Go!" she yelled.
She pushed Henry and Rachel past Terrence. Henry stopped and grabbed her hand. "We aren't leaving you," she said.
"Go," she said sternly. "While there is still time." She flicked her wrist and Rachel and Henry found themselves outside.
"Henry," Rachel called out. He was torn between going inside and staying with his wife.
They heard Jacob call their names. "I can take Rachel back," he offered. Henry was about to question how his brothers got there but decided against it.
"Take her," he said. He kissed her before letting her go. Henry went back inside to see Erica standing over Terrence with a fireball.
"Erica," he yelled horrified.
"What are you doing here? They were supposed to come get you," she argued keeping her eyes trained her prey.
"I couldn't let you do whatever you're going to do alone," he said. She heard more footsteps and John spoke.
"Erica, wait. Don't do anything rash," he said calmly.
"I'm not. I know what I'm doing. Go back to mom and dad. You don't want to see this," she said and her eyes glowed purple.
Meanwhile, Rachel and Jacob were outside her front door. "Go in and let them fuss over you. We will be back in a moment." He vanished. Rachel knocked on the door and Regina answered.
"Rachel!" she yelled relieved. She hugged her tight and brought her in where everyone else fussed over her.
"Honey are you okay?" Regina asked. "Where's Henry and Erica?"
"I'm fine. The baby is fine. Henry and Erica...they stayed behind," she said cautiously.
"What?!" they all yelled.
"I don't know what they're planning," Rachel said. "John just left."
"I do," Gold said. He locked eyes with Regina and a frown came across her face.
