I know it's been a long, long, long time. And I didn't think I would actually be inspired to write anything else, but I woke up and suddenly, POOF, inspiration.

It had been a week since Annie told us. Sutton and I hadn't talked a lot. We both were disappointed and we didn't feel like talking about it, or for that matter, see each other to remind us that. Laurel had been the most amazing person this week. Knowing we were both a bit depressed, she had been a whole bundle of joy. Always smiling and trying to cheer us up. For me it worked, for Sutton, not so much. She spends most of her time at Thayer's anyway.

A lot had happen in one week, Rebecca and Alec got real close, in fact, they got engaged somehow. I thought they couldn't stand each other, guess I was wrong. Ethan and I had spent some quality time together, and Kristen and Ted don't look weird anymore when he comes home to see me. I told them we were an item. Char was still with her father, which is a good thing because her mom doesn't go well. That's how Rebeca's managed to live in their house for a while. Oh, and big news, turns out Rebecca has a step-son. Jordan, he came in town four days ago and went to a party I didn't go to. Why I didn't go to a party? Well, for one, I didn't wanted to go, and second I had been hanging out with Ethan quite a lot.

"Girls wake up!" Kristen was knocking on every bedroom door to wake us up. School was almost over and today we should get our grades. I opened my eyes feeling like I could stay in all day. But I got out of bed anyway, took a quick shower before Laurel, brushed my hair and putted on a dress. Sutton was already in the kitchen with Kristen and eating some piece of fruit, since pancakes weren't on her list of acceptable food.

"Want some pancakes sweety?" Kristen asked me when I took a glass I filled with orange juice.

"No thanks, I don't feel so well this morning. I'm just going to drink something."

"Maybe it's a twin thing…" Kristen said looking at Sutton. I noticed then that Sutton wasn't eating either.

"What's a twin thing?" I asked her.

"Sutton doesn't feel great either. Maybe you shouldn't go to school…"

"Excellent idea, you know what, I'm going back to bed!" Sutton said pushing her bowl away and stood up. It's amazing how she heals quickly. She doesn't seem sick anymore…

"I'm going to school. It doesn't feel sick enough to stay in."

"Of course, Emma, our good, sweet, kind Emma. We wouldn't expect anything else."

"Sutton, go back to bed I'll be there in a second." Kristen said and left the room. "So Emma, we received a letter from school…" She said and handed me over an envelope. "You're grades are in…" Already?

"good morning everyone!" Laurel said as she walked in. She had tied up her hair and had the same smile as Kristen on her face. No doubt she was her daughter. How come we didn't notice Annie didn't look that much like us?

"Grades are in sweety. Pancakes?"

"Sure!" Laurel said and took a seat right next to me. Kristen putted a pancake on a plate and handed it to Laurel with the envelope.

"Sutton already opened it I guess? That's how she does it, she wakes up before us and opens it so she can destroy it if the grades are bad. Then she pretends she's sick so mom takes care of her all day."

"That's not true Laurel, Sutton is sick." Her voice said one thing, her eyes said something else.

"So, how do you deal with it?" I asked to Laurel.

"Me? I just open it. Before you came in I use to be the smartest kid in this house."

"Laurel…" Kristen warned her daughter.

"Fine, I'm just better at studying than Sutton…"

"So, are you going to open that letter or not? Oh, sorry Emma, maybe you're used to do it on a particular way?" Yes, alone in my bedroom because nobody actually cared enough about me to want to know how I did at school.

"Not really." I said. Even knowing the Mercers are my new family and that I loved them and they love me, it still feels weird sometimes. They don't know me as well as I would want them too. I wish they had adopted both Sutton and I as baby's, would have make everything so easier.

"So open it both of you!" Kristen said all excited about it. Ted was probably still at the hospital since he had the late shift this week. I opened the letter at the same time as Laurel.

"One B, physics." Laurel said smiling and handing the letter over to her mom.

"What about you Ems?"

"Oh, you know. I did well…" She literally took the letter out of my hand before I could say anything else.

"Oh, really, just well?! Mom, she got straight A's." So what? I've always had been serious about school, if I want to go to college I should have a scholarship, and to have one you need good grades…

"That's great! Congratulations Emma! You too Laurel. You know what? Tonight we're celebrating it! We're going out, all of us, diner at the club. You can even ask your boyfriends to come." What? I don't really picture Ethan sitting around a table, with my parents, sisters and boyfriends. I think he's more a pick nick or barbecue type of guy.

"Really? I can't wait to call Justin!"

"I'm going to buy you something new to wear tonight. Call you father, make a reservation then go shopping…"

Kristen was busy making plans as I drove us to school. Laurel was excited about tonight and as soon as we were at school, she ran towards Justin so she could tell him the good news.

"See you for lunch sis!" She said as she disappeared from my vision. I stood in the car just thinking. Why was Sutton acting so weird this week? I hadn't noticed it before, because, well I was avoiding her.

"Good morning! Someone looks like she could use this!" Mads said as she walked out of her car. I hadn't even noticed she parked next to me. She handed me over her coffee and basically pulled me out of my car. "So, are you more like Sutton or like Laurel when it comes to grades? My dad is satisfy by mine, but then again, he has more on his mind than just my grades when it comes to Rebecca."

"Have they chosen a date yet?"

"Yes, apparently, they'll be married in two weeks! Can you believe it?! I know she's hot, but still."

"What do you think about their marriage?"

"Oh you know, if it's what my dad wants then so be it. But you didn't tell me about your grades…"

"Let's say I'm more of a Laurel type…"

"Laurel type? What does that even mean?" Ethan said as he joined us.

"That she probably has straight A's…"

"So? What's the problem with that?" Ethan said as he took me hand and we walked inside the school. Mads phone started to ring.

"Thayer." She said to us. "You know I'm at school right?" Ethan and I we're looking at each other, should we let her alone or stay with her? "Guys, has one of you seen Sutton this morning?" She asked us.

"Don't look at me, I'm with the other twin." Ethan said lifting both our hands to show her.

"She's sick, she's at home." Emma said ignoring Ethan. The other twin? Not sure how I feel about that.

"Thayer says he's worried about her… She's not answering any of his calls…"

"Maybe they got in a fight?" I said. After all, Sutton isn't the easiest girl to be with. "Why doesn't he just go see her at home?" Mads put her phone on speaker.

"Emma? That's the reason I call, I'm at your place but there's no one there."

"Maybe she went shopping with Kristen?" Which reminds me I still have to ask Ethan out.

"When you see her, can you tell her to call me?"

"Sure."

"Bye T, unlike you, we actually have to go to school."

"Well, that dinner surely was interesting. Not sure how Ted thinks about me." Ethan said. Dinner was over and we decided not to go home right away. Instead, we we're some place close to the road, lying, just looking at sundown. "Or should I call him your dad?"

"Ted is fine. It's already hard enough for me to call them mom and dad. Actually, I practically don't do it. Don't get me wrong, I love them, they're my family, now… But how can I call them mom and dad when I just know them for a few months? Besides, I feel like I'm too old to call them like that."

"Well you could…" Before he could even end his sentence my phone went off and I answered it.

"Emma? Kiddo, you need to come home, now." Ted said on the phone. He's tone told me something was wrong.

"Sure, why?"

"Someone broke your window and got inside the house, don't panic. It happened when we were at the club. But we still need you to come home as soon as possible."

"We've been robbed." I said for Ethan." I'm on my way." I hung up. "I've got to go back home. I'm sorry." Without any more words, I started the car and drove home.

"Anything missing Emma?" It was Dan, Ethan's brother that had been assigned to the case. Ted and Ethan we're waiting outside of my bedroom while I was looking around. The person that had broken my window had done quite a job. He had pulled out everything out of my drawers. To give you a proper picture, just imagine a room, where instead of everything being on his place, is now on the ground. Pillows, clothes, books, pictures on the wall, everything.

"I don't know. I can't tell yet."

"Maybe you should invest in a better alarm system Mr Mercer. It's not the first time people get in this house."

"Make sure I'll do agent." Ted wasn't in the best mood, but what did you expect?

"Well Emma, if you find anything missing. Call me." Dan said handing me his card over.

"I'll." What a mess. "Thanks."

"If you find anything that could help us on the case…"

"I'll accompany you out. " Ted said to Dan and left me alone with Ethan. Laurel walked in as soon as her father was out.

"What a mess. You're sleeping in my bedroom tonight. Dad will probably have you window fixed in the morning. So do we clean your room now or later? Mom is helping Sutton with her… thought you could use some help too."

"I'll help you too." Ethan said putting his hand on my lower back.

"Thanks guys."

"Well let's get started then." So we did, and nobody noticed the two things that were missing while doing so. My sketchbook and a picture of Sutton, Ted and I.

Ethan had to leave early, his brother had called him. For some reason I think Dane doesn't like me that much. I have absolutely no idea why. Ted and Kristen came to see Sutton and I almost every five minutes to see if we were alright. They think we're traumatized. Even if we weren't we both didn't felt like sleeping in our bedrooms that night and Laurel was kind enough to let us both sleep in hers. Since the bed would be a bit small for us all I had offered to sleep on the ground, but nobody wanted me to. That's why they brought in an air mattress.

"Who do you think it could be? And what did he want?" I whispered. Ted and Kristen still came by to check on us.

"How should I know?" Sutton said. "Have you found anything missing?" Sounds like mission impossible, how can you find something that's missing? It would have been perfect to have a picture of my bedroom before getting robbed.

"Not yet, but my room is still upside down so, maybe tomorrow. Have you called Thayer to tell him?" I hadn't seen him during the evening and I had no idea if he knew about it. Not that it was any of my business.

"Why? Bored of Ethan already?"

"Not everyone gets bored easily." Laurel said to defend me.

"I was just asking. And have you noticed anything missing?"

"Nothing, and believe me, if something was missing, I would know." She said. "Quit talking now, I'm tired."

This isn't like it was on screen, but it doesn't really matter does it? I hope you'll like it.
