Anna sat at home with the kids waiting for Caroline to come and have lunch with her. She, John and the kids had gotten back from Disney World the day before. It was a wonderful family trip. She heard the doorbell and went to get it."

"Of course. I'll take any chance to see you and my other babies." Anna smiled as Caroline hugged her. "And I wanted to find out how the trip was?"

"It was wonderful." Anna replied. "The kids had a great time. They loved Disney World."

Caroline laughed. "I bet they did."

"It was a perfect family vacation. And it was nice to have all of us there and John and Nikolas bonding. Me and Zoey bonding. It was great."

Caroline smiled. "Good."

"Yep." Anna smiled. "We are making a great life as a family."

"I'm really happy for you both." Caroline replied. "Now, I came to see those beautiful kids."

Anna laughed. "They are in the playroom." She smiled.

"I invited Nina to dinner tomorrow night. You and Mike should come too."

"Sure. We would love too." Caroline replied. "Do we need to bring anything?"

"No, I'm taking care of it all."

"How is she doing? Really?"

"I don't know. She seems okay but I know she's hurting that he's gone. Just like I am." Anna sighed. "I still haven't talked to my parents about things. I just...I can't. I don't want my children around them and I feel bad about it but I know I'm doing what's best." She laughed a little bit. "God, I sound like Dwayne when we first got married. And how he convinced me to cut my parents out of my life."

"That's probably for the best."

"Yeah. My mom is an alcoholic and my dad is a gambler. That's not really exceptional grandparent material. So, as much as I feel bad about it, I know I'm going the right thing."

"Let's not worry about that now okay?"

She looked at her. "Yeah."

"Let's focus on this beautiful family that you've created and how happy you and John will be with each other."

"Yeah." She smiled as she looked at her kids. She was really happy and hoped it would stay that way.

Mike watched as John read over some files in the office of the Johnson Industries. "Job tougher than you thought?" He asked him.

"You have no idea." John laughed. "This company makes billions and billions of dollars a year. Do you have any idea how much money that is? And most of it belongs to a three year old. It much different than running the agency."

"You're doing a great job."

"I hope so." He sighed. "I just don't want to let Anna down. She trusted me with this and I can't screw up. Plus I had no idea how much business this company did or was involved in. I mean they have factories in Mexico and South America. All over the world."

"If anyone can handle it, it's you."

John smiled. "Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"Why don't you go home to your family?"

John nodded. "Yeah I think I will. I wanted to talk to Anna about her parents. I haven't really met them. I mean I was at Phil's funeral and saw them but she's never introduced me or even talks about them. So, I want to talk to her about it. Anyway, you should head home too."

"If I know my wife, she's at your house."

John laughed. "I believe that." He replied. "Then I will see you at my house." Mike nodded and they headed out.

They both pulled up to the house about the same time and headed in. They smiled when they saw their wives in the kitchen while the kids were playing in the play room.

"Hello lovely ladies."

"Hey." Anna said before kissing John hello. "How was work?"

"It was good. I think I'm really making some progress."

"Well that's great. The board is happy with how you are running too. The reports I get are very encouraging."

He smiled. "I'm trying to make you proud."

"You are." Anna smiled. "The board is happy and the company is doing great. I knew I made the right decision when I asked you to run the company for Nikolas."

He picked up Ben and smiled. "Good. I'm glad you think so."

"I do." She replied. "Now, how about some dinner?"

"That sounds great I'm starved." She nodded and looked at the others.

"You guys staying for dinner?"

"Of course."

John looked at Anna after Mike and Caroline had gone home. "I wanted to talk to you about something." He said to her.

"What about?" She asked him.

"About your parents. I want to know about them."

"There isn't much to tell. My mom is a functional alcoholic and my dad is a gambler."

"They came to see me a few days ago."

She looked at him. "My parents came to see you? What did they want?"

"To see you and the kids."

"I don't think that's a good idea." She replied. "I don't think they should be around the kids."

"They're in rehab."

She sighed. "I just don't think it's a good idea. They might be in rehab now but that won't last. It never does."

"Whatever you want, I support that."

"Thank you." She looked at him. "You just don't understand about my parents. They didn't really raise me. Phil did. They were drinking or gambling. Sometimes I don't they cared if they had children or not. I just don't want them around the kids unless they stay sober and clean for a year."

"Then that's how it will be."

"I"m glad you understand." She replied.

"Now, how about we put the kids to bed and go relax." She nodded and they headed to put the kids in bed. She was glad he understood about her parents and her reasoning. Now she just had to relax and get ready for the new baby.

A few weeks later, Caroline and Anna sat with all the kids. "They look like they are having a blast." Anna said as she watched Nikolas and Zoey play with Hannah.

"They always have a good time when they play together. Jackson will be big enough to play with them soon." Caroline said as she held her sleeping son.

Anna laughed. "They grow up so fast."

"Pretty soon, they won't be babies anymore."

"That's so true." Anna replied. "But we still have Ben on the way."

Caroline smiled. "Yes we do and he will be spoiled rotten."

Anna laughed. "Yes, he will. John's mom has already bought him a lot. She's so excited about having a grandson."

"I bet. Mike's mom was the same way. She's spoiled these babies rotten."

"I bet so." Anna smiled. "That's what grandparents do right?"

Caroline smiled and nodded. "Yeah. And they're the only set my babies have."

"I understand that. Carol has been great with Nikolas but I know she's excited to have a grandson that's John's biologically. But she really has been great with Nikolas."

Caroline nodded. "I'm sure she thinks of him as her grandson too. She's the most caring person that way."

"I know she is." Anna replied. "I wasn't saying she doesn't think of Nikolas like her grandson. But I'm sure she's excited to know she has a biologically grandson. But she has been great with Nikolas. She is a very caring person."

Caroline nodded. Anna looked at her as the pain ran through her stomach. "Are you okay?"

"No, I think I'm in labor." Anna replied. "Can you get the kids together while I call John?"

Caroline nodded and got Nikolas, Zoey and Hannah together. Anna called John and told him to meet her at the hospital. Once she had, they headed toward it. Anna hoped everything went good. She had a hard time with Nikolas and was in labor for several days because it stalled and she worried she would have the same with the new baby as well.

"You're going to be fine."

"I know." She said as they pulled into the hospital. "I will go get checked in"

"I will be in after I park and get the kids out." Anna nodded and headed inside. She was taken immediately up to labor and delivery and put into a room. She hoped everything was normal and that this little one didn't decide to be difficult.
