Hey Guys! Thanks for waiting, the show ended and summer break began, and then I had to get some family stuff and job stuff sorted through before I could get back to this.
So you may have noticed I changed my pen name form Remi-it-is-a-girl's-name to RemianDemian. hope you like it!

"Am I pushy?" Bones looked up at Jim who had just asked that question.

"Why do you ask?"

"Janice said I'm pushy. am I pushy?"

"Well..."

"Bones, just tell me!" Kirk insisted. "am I pushy?" Bones sighed.

"A little."

"A little?"

"It's not so much that your pushy as that you just expect everyone to follow you." Spock looked up from his book.

"He is correct, James. and then we do because if we do not help you, you are far more likely to get yourself in trouble."

James huffed and sat on his bed. "In other words I am pushy."

"a little." repeated Bones. "but you know what? it works for you. You know, it kind of gives you a captain's air."

That was all it took for Kirk to straighten right back up.

"Awesome." Bones rolled his eyes and looked away, continuing his homework.

"Out of curiosity, are the two of you doing anything for Halloween this year?" asked Spock.

"No I do-"

"-Yes. we all are." Kirk said. "I was planning to tell you guys today, I got this great idea."

"Famous last words." grumbled Bones.

"Shh. just listen..."

Spock's PADD ringed. he checked it.

She had sent him a communique back. He hadn't expected her to.

He sat silently reading the impressively long letter she had sent. of course, he'd sent rather a long one to her so her reply length only made logical sense.

Of course this was when Bones came back from working a training shift in the infirmary and Kirk came back from wherever he had gotten off to.

"Hey Spock!

"Hi Hobgoblin. what are you reading?" Asked Bones.

"A communique."

"From who?" Asked Kirk, leaning against the wall.

"None of your concern."

"That means it's either your mom or a girl." Leonard commented.

"That implied my mother is not a woman, Leonard." Spock said, raising an eyebrow.

"Spock. who is it?" Jim asked again. "We won't tell anyone if it's some girl you like."

"I do not like anyone in the way you are implying." Kirk smirked. "If you say so, Spock."

"I do 'say so'." Spock went back to reading the communique.

Bones ruffled through the desk that they all had to share as if to find something, then darted out a hand and grabbed the PADD. Spock let go, not wanting the device broken.

"Is this necessary?" the Vulcan asked his two human roommates.

"Do we keep secrets from you, Spock?" asked Kirk.

"I wouldn't know if you were as the very nature of keeping a secret implies-"

"-His point was we don't so you shouldn't either." Bones said, waitin for the PADD to translate the communique from Vulcan into English.

Spock pulled it away before it finished. "This is private. Would you like it if I read your communiques from Emony Dax?"

"That's different! You guys know Emony and who she is to me."

"Your alien girlfriends?"

"Jim for the last dang time she is not my-did you say girlfriends?"

"Well isn't she like, two people? Dax and Emony?"

"No and yes, and maybe-Jim I am not explaining Trill Symbionts to you again." Bones rolled his eyes. "Right now we are talking about Spock and Spock's mystery gal."

"You are not even sure it's a female, Leonard." Spock pointed out.

"Oh, we know it's a girl." Kirk said. "It's a human thing."

"You know we'll lay off once you tell us, right?" Bones asked Spock. the half-Vulcan finally relented.

"Do you remember when I explained why I wouldn't-as you put it- 'ask Christine out'?"

"Yeah. Vulcan arranged marriage stuff." Jim. "wait, it's from your bride?!"

"Fiancée would be a more correct term." Spock corrected. "It is a rather...shall we call it untraditional?-and untraditional thing for two promised to each other to interact before their wedding."

"But you got a communiqué from her?" asked Bones, sounding skeptical.

"Of course. it was only polite to send a reply."

"Ohhh, so you sent one first?" asked Jim, smiling slightly. "well, tell us about her?"

"There isn't much I can tell you. I only met her once when we were seven." Spock reminded.

"You could tell us her name."

"T'Pring. daughter of Adrek and T'Pev."

"And you could tell us her eye color."

"Dark brown."

"and her complexion?"

"a lighter brown."

"Is she smart?" Spock looked down at the letter, skimming it quickly, or possibly just reading it, he read very fast.

"She seems to be."

"And probably as dull as a brick." Bones said

"Why would you think that?" asked Jim.

"Because she's Vulcan is why."

"So's Spock."

"Anything interesting about him comes form his mother's side of the family." McCoy insisted. Jim laughed.

"Are you gonna send her another letter?" asked Kirk.

"I may."

"Letters are cute. calling is better." Jim advised. "talk to that girl!"

"Communiques are enough. it is already abnormal enough to do that without actually conversing with T'Pring."

"yes and it's all about normal with you, isn't Hobgoblin? Spock the half-Vulcan half-human who turned down the Vulcan science academy in favor of Starfleet: King of Normal." Jim laughed again. Spock quirked an eyebrow.

"Your point is clear, but rather sarcastically put."

"Three years and you finally recognize sarcasm. My life is fulfilled, Jim, shoot me in the head before the hobgoblin here ruins my happiness." McCoy said.

Jim was just laying on his bed laughing at this point. "Speaking of three years. Next semester is the end of it." Spock looked up at Kirk, so did Bones.

"Oh. I forgot..." McCoy trailed off. Kirk sat up, not laughing anymore. "Yeah. I did too." spring semester of junior year was when room assignments were changed to single rooms. Basically they were to get rooms of their own until they graduated. a chance to live 'on their own' before going back to having roommates like nearly all ensigns did at wherever they were assigned to.

"It's weird. I've would've killed to get a room separate from you two freshman year." bones said, thinking about that day. when Jim had burst in here with a boom-box blaring and Spock waking up at an ungodly hour the next morning. he still woke up at an ungodly hour...Jim still played awful archaic music (lately some lady called Katy Perry's music kept coming up)

"Fortunately you have managed to restrain yourself from committing homicide." Spock said. "for which I commend you."

"That's where you're wrong." Bones said.

"Wait...so you're a murderer?!" Kirk was paying attention again, having started to tune them out.

"No. but if I killed Spock that isn't Homicide. Homicide is killing a human."

"I am human."

"I'll believe you're human when I see some human from you spock..."

Kirk listened to the banter between the two of them. He was thinking about Spock's fiancée, and schemes to try to meet her...but another thought kept sneaking into his mind.

We'll go home for Christmas...come back...and go to different rooms. and in just under a year from now some group of freshmen will get this room...

He chuckled at something Spock had said and set about breaking up the argument after that

But for now life moves on. and it'll keep moving on then as well.
