Hi guys! I don't have much to say today because I'm really beat. I twisted my ankle right on time for the first part of the shooting of my short film tomorrow, lucky me... So enjoy guys! And see you next week!

Starwarshobbitfics: At first I wasn't planning on doing more than a single chapter for Tatooine but it kind of grew on me, again! I'm glad you liked it and thank you for the review.

Johnt12345: Thanks for the reviews as always! Well, Ahsoka and Myra will definitely go back to Kiros, although I haven't exactly planned that arc out yet. I didn't realize how sad she looked with her goggles filling with tears. I'm kind of proud of that sentence now though. And I figured Little Max had to make a mess sometime, since he's actually a Tooka, an animal, even though I give him a lot of personnification. The traveling mechanic was a good idea actually, I didn't think of that.

Brightheart10: Yes oh my!

18 years before the Battle of Yavin / 2 years, 4 months and 2 weeks after leaving the Jedi Order / 2 years, a month and 2 weeks on Nar Shaddaa / a year, 7 months and 2 weeks after Order 66 / 10 months and 2 weeks after adopting Myra (Year +10,2)

True to her word, Myra had found a nice spot to see the entire city of Mos Eisley. All around the town, sand dunes stretched into the horizon as far as she could see. She could just make out some strange and tall building in the distance, maybe the Hutt's palace, she didn't know. Little Max remained hidden in the scarf around her montrals now that the wind had picked up and started throwing grains of sand everywhere. It wasn't a full on sandstorm yet, but it was the beginning of one.

As she climbed down the building to go back to the cantina, she felt a strange force tugging at her mind. She couldn't see anyone around her, besides the people in the streets below and some birds above. But the strange force was there, calling to her. She tried to ignore it and kept climbing down. The more she went down, the more the sandstorm intensified and it got to the point where even Little Max started whimpering on her head. If the little guy was afraid, then she should be too.

By the time she was down in the streets, people were running for cover. Merchant's stands were being thrown to the sides by the wind and sand ricocheted against her darkened goggles. Myra closed her scarf a bit more to protect Little Max and set off to find some shelter herself. She tried to use the vibrations of her montrals like she had been learning to since she joined the Sneaky crew, but she couldn't focus with that storm. Everything around her was vibrating, every single grain of sand, and it was so overwhelming she almost passed out.

Every door and window was closed in the street, preventing her from hiding somewhere. She didn't blame the people; she would be hiding herself if she lived there. But the more she looked for a place to hide, the more she realized how dangerous the situation she was in actually was. With every passing second, her headache intensified, her ability to feel the vibrations running out of control. The sand stung the parts of her skin that were not covered by cloth and she could see less and less. The Force wasn't helping much but that tugging on her mind remained and she eventually followed it.

She didn't know where Jynna was or which way to go to the cantina. All she could think about was how bad her situation was and that she had to do something soon, anything. She was led through the streets by the strange force until she arrived in front of an old building. She couldn't see much of it but the windows barred with planks implied it was abandoned. Without an ounce of hesitation, she unfastened one of the planks enough to slip through and land in a dusty room.

The only things left were pieces of stone furniture that were covered in layers of dust so thick Myra wondered when was the last time someone had been there. Since it was dark anyway, she took off her goggles and wiped her face, smearing sand dust on her white markings and pale orange skin. She took Little Max into her arms and covered them both with her scarf as she huddled in a corner of the room, where the dust and cobwebs weren't as thick and as far away from the window as she could.

She only waited for what felt like a dozen minutes before a shadow appeared behind the window, peeking through the planks as if looking for someone or something in particular. Myra froze and didn't move, both hands on Max's fur, ready to grab the Tooka and bolt at the first sign of danger.

"Myra! You in there?" asked a familiar voice.

"I'm here Max!" she answered back.

It took the smuggler a few seconds to make enough room for him to slither in, but as soon as he was within Myra's reach, he knelt and pulled her in for a hug. He didn't say that it was dangerous to be out there or that he had been looking for her everywhere. He didn't say that Ahsoka and Jynna were worried sick or that she shouldn't be out there alone. He simply held onto her, strong enough to make her feel safe, but light enough not to hurt her. He didn't push Little Max away either and he only let go of them after several long minutes.

As they sat in the corner, Max's back resting against the wall and Myra's head pressed against his side, her knees up and her arms clutching at Little Max's sleeping form, Max looked lost in thought.

"This is the place where I lived when my pops was still alive."

"This is your home?"

Max smiled. "No, Myra, Nar Shaddaa is my home. Taii's Saloon is my home. The Sneaky is my home. This… this was just my house for a while."

"But how can you have several homes? Isn't home the place where your family lives? Where you are happy?"

He smiled even more after hearing her definition of home. She probably wasn't aware of the wisdom of her words, had simply drawn conclusions from what she saw on the Sneaky and Nar Shaddaa, but Max was once again amazed by children's sometimes blunt truths.

"But you see, Nar Shaddaa and the Sneaky are both my home. Because, like you said, members of my family live in both those places."

"So you can have two homes? Can I have two homes too?"

"Yes, you can. Of course you can."

And just this once, he hugged the girl and pressed a reassuring kiss to her forehead, where it turned into her montrals.

They joined the others five hours later, when the sandstorm had subsided. Despite her trust in her crew, Ahsoka had been worried and was glad to see them all safe. She didn't mention her meeting with the Lars' and Max didn't ask. Jynna showed them her pictures, having already selected those she wanted to keep and erased the others. She also insisted they all take a picture together in front of the Sneaky but Ahsoka proposed they do that on Nar Shaddaa instead off on Tatooine.

Alas, an argument between Ahsoka and Max erupted when they were flying back home. It got so bad that Myra took Little Max and left the cockpit, quickly followed by Jynna and R2-KT.

"I can't believe you're doing this!" Ahsoka said as she crossed her arms on her chest while violently leaning back in the pilot's chair, her lekku sauntering a bit.

"It won't take long, I promise!" Max said before grumbling "I knew I should have taken the Stella for that job" under his breath.

"This detour better be worth it…" Ahsoka still wouldn't look at him.

"It's not a detour, it's on our way. We're just stopping in space for a bit before jumping into hyperspace again. And yes, it's worth it. The cargo is so much worth it and so is the deal."

"I can't believe you're still making deals with Hondo…"

Max grinned at that, resulting in Ahsoka slapping him upside the head. "I know you and the Weequay had issues in the past…"

"That's putting it mildly. He kidnapped me, threatened children and wanted to sell me on the black market."

"He helped us when we crashed on Sriluur," Max pointed out.

"Yeah, well, one good action won't be enough for me to trust him."

And with that, Ahsoka remained silent for the rest of the trip, at least until they met Hondo's ship not very far from Nar Kaaga. As usual, Hondo was late. Ahsoka was about to take the controls and fly away, forget Max's deal, when a ship came out of hyperspace. By the worn look it had, it could only be Hondo's ship.

"You wanna come or…" Max asked as he stood up.

The look on Ahsoka's face was so dark, Max shuddered. "Okay then."

Making himself scarce, he joined Hondo in the hold and despite her anger, Ahsoka listened to their conversation through the ship's com. After several jokes, Max got into business mode and the negotiation started. As usual, Hondo tried to get himself a sweeter deal that what had been discussed but Max held his ground about the price for the weapons. Although he did get a little less money for some intel that seemed to be connected to what Ahsoka knew from the holodisc that Jynna got from a Nautolan back on Daalang not that long ago.

When Hondo asked about her, Ahsoka's head jerked up before she remembered that she was just listening to them and Hondo wasn't in the cockpit with her. Max brushed him off saying she was busy without telling the Weequay if Ahsoka was indeed aboard the Sneaky. As soon as the crates where loaded on Hondo's ship by the very few men he had left and that he managed to keep loyal to him, Max came bursting into the cockpit with the bit of intel he had bought, although Ahsoka told him she had eavesdropped.

Apparently, the Empire was looking for survivors from Order 66. In itself, it wasn't a surprise. But the fact that they were specifically looking for young Jedi made Ahsoka shiver. She knew that some of them had managed to escape the Temple and some were on missions with their Masters at the time.

The holodisc of the Nautolan had revealed that a large Stormtroopers battalion had been dispatched to some of the worlds near the Hutt Space, where they didn't do much except interrogate people and take over outposts that hadn't served since the Clone Wars. That in itself wasn't really surprising, but coupled with Hondo's intel, it was big. Hondo had told Max that some sort of sinister character had been seen on Dressel, some kind of dark Jedi nicknamed the Inquisitor.

To Ahsoka, that person could only be a Sith that was hunting remaining Jedi down. And knowing how difficult it was for her to hide her Force signature, she didn't doubt for one second how easy it could be for that Inquisitor to find Younglings and Padawans lost in the rest of the galaxy. Of course, the Stormtroopers battalions and the Inquisitor could have nothing to do together, but Ahsoka would to bet these two facts were linked.

By the time they got to Nar Shaddaa, Myra was fast asleep and Max tucked her to bed as Ahsoka prepped the ship for the night. Jynna went to sleep not long after that, so did Little Max as he joined Myra in Ahsoka's bed. Despite how tired Ahsoka was, she still had things to do. After failing to find Old Hoody in the village (it happened more than once that the Bothan was off planet doing Force knows what), she had a long discussion with Taiilyrra.

Their relationship wasn't the best and had its ups and downs, but it was friendly and both women knew what was really important. They both had people they cared about and would do anything to protect them, they both had homes on Nar Shaddaa and they both had lived through some nasty stuff. Plus, they both ran their own businesses and would take one against the Empire at the first chance they'd get.

As Ahsoka sat at the counter in Taii's Saloon, nursing a glass of Meiloorun liquor, she suddenly looked at Taii. "How comfortable are you with field work?"

Taii shot her a curious glance before helping herself to a glass and sitting on the counter, in front of Ahsoka. "Depends. What kind of work are we talking about?" She really seemed curious and a little bit surprised by that question, as if she wasn't at all expecting Ahsoka to offer her a job.

"The kind a spy would do."

"I could talk to some of my men…"

"They are your men. I don't know them. That's why I'm asking you." She took a sip before continuing. "I know you run your spy web like a pro, but I'm wondering if you've ever done that job yourself."

Taiilyrra sighed. "I did. A long time ago, but I did. Managing my web and this place hasn't rusted my skills, though. What's the job?"

Ahsoka told her about her idea, about the combined intel and her guesses about all of that. But she wasn't really expecting the Chagrian to agree so quickly. Sensing her surprise, Taii smirked. "If I can kick the Empire's butt and help someone innocent out, I'm in. We all live in this shitty galaxy together, gotta help each others out."
