Thank you for reading.

Thank you for reviewing.

Thank you for continuing on with this super long saga and story with me.

I just posted a new totally random songfic story thing that will be comprised of random oneshot songfics based on different storylines of mine… If you're interested, check it out.

It's going to be dictated mostly by playlists that inspire me and even, what you want to hear, and reviews and stuff. Soooo…

It should be fun!

AND it will contain scenes that fit into this series, that I saw in my head,

Or came up with later,

that I never posted.

So that will be fun.

And right now, it has two REALLY fluffy one shots,

One of which features a very sweet Teddy and Victoire back before they were officially dating.

It's cute, and kinda made me fall for them all over again.

Check it out. It's called.

You're The Inspiration

I AM NOT JKR

And I totally stole the idea for the end part of this from two reviews just sayin..

It hadn't even occurred to me and when I read it and both of you put it.

I laughed so hard I had to put it in.

So thanks for that one!

Freddie and James say a big thank you

Chapter 45

Conversations and Compromise

James POV

James was sitting at a table in the library, much to his own displeasure. He had only been drug in there by Freddie to find Parker. Freddie didn't seem to mind being in there so much, even if it had been one of only a handful of times that he had ventured inside. James however was horrified by being forced "Into the enemy camp" as he had termed it. It was nearly a week since their howler. It was Saturday afternoon and Freddie and James had still not reached an agreement on their argument, so they went to Parker for help. Though, forcing James into the library on a Saturday afternoon had proved to just make him more irritable.

"This is the dumbest argument in the history of the wizarding world." Parker said, rolling his eyes.

"It's not dumb." James said, folding their arms over his chest and glaring at the charms book on the table as if it had offended him.

Fred looked at James and smirked. "It kinda is." He said, leaning back on his chair legs.

"Who's side are you on here!" James exclaimed throwing his hands up in the air.

Freddie smirked. "Well, not yours, that's why we had to come to Parks for a tie breaker." He pointed out.

James' face fell slightly. "Oh…yeah, that's right, anyways…what's your suggestion?" he said, looking intently at Parker.

Parker scratched his blonde head and cocked it to the side slightly, thinking. "Well…I mean…just do both…" he suggested. "It's called compromise, all couples have to do it at some point." He said, with a cheeky grin.

James and Freddie both cut their eyes at him for the couple remark but they also broke into instant grins. "This is why you're part of the team Parks…you're brilliant." James said, hoping up from the chair.

Parker rolled his eyes at his cousin. "Thanks James." He said sarcastically.

Freddie laughed and ruffled Parker's always neat hair. "And you know, because we like you and all too." He added, grinning before chasing James out of the library.

"I WANT NO PART IN THIS!" Parker yelled after them, not that they heard him…the librarian sure did though, he lowered his head as she started fussing at him.

Teddy POV

Victoire was sound asleep in Teddy's bed early Sunday morning. Teddy woke up naturally, sleeping in really wasn't something he was known for unless he got little sleep. He sat up slightly and looked down at her sleeping form. She had yet to really return to her dorm. She had spent every night in his room with him, since the night before finding out about the baby. She had visited her dorm a few times though, for an hour or two, usually while he was busy and then she came back to his room when she knew he would be there or was coming back soon.

The sun was only barely up this morning and the curtains blocked most of the light from the room, he could just make out her perfect features and her figure on his bed. She had apparently gotten hot through the night, she had thrown all of the blankets to the side, sheet included, and was sleeping in only a thin strappy tank top and a pair of low cut, strappy yellow panties. He smiled slightly, she really was beautiful all of the time. Even when she was sleeping and her face was creased from the pillow and her hair was tangled up and a mess, she was still the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He moved gently intending to try and lay back down but his movement made her move, making her shirt ride farther up her waist so it was high above her belly button, resting around her ribs.

Teddy bit his bottom lip uncertainly and looked at her face to see if she was actually sleeping before he repositioned himself. He lay so his face was next to her stomach, and gently wrapped his arm over her hips, she wiggled closer to him in her sleep, and he rested his forehead against her tummy, leaving his lips right below her navel. He lay that way silently for a while, his mind reeling, before he spoke softly.

"Hey you." He whispered, not wanting Victoire to wake up, he halted for several minutes, making sure she was still asleep, when her breathing never changed and he was sure she was still sound asleep he continued.

"Hi baby…one day, we'll give you a name…we have to know what you are first though. So for now. You get to be baby. I promise I will stop calling you baby before you go to Hogwarts, my dad still calls me little man sometimes, and it can be a bit embarrassing at times." He said to her stomach, still speaking so quietly that he was barely breathing, he had focused so much on his uncertain conversation though that he hadn't noticed as his breath tickled across her skin, slowly waking Victoire up.

"Right, well…I know who you are…kind of. You're baby…and you'll be hiding for several more months. You're already a little troublemaker keeping Vic all sick and sleepy and grumpy like you are. It makes me a bit worried if I'm honest. You're now 8 weeks and er…a couple days old, which may not seem to matter but according to that book that your mummy is reading and I may or may not have read during history of magic…don't worry, I magicked the cover to show my history book." He said quickly before continuing.

"So apparently according to that book, a day is like…a whole new kind of baby in there. You learn faster than a Ravenclaw right now. Always doing new things…and stuff happening." He closed his eyes as he spoke and had not noticed one bit that Victoire had opened hers and was looking at him curiously but absolutely silently, not wanting to interrupt him.

"Well, it says that you can't hear me yet…I don't believe it…it also says that right now you look like this…scary….thing that is not remotely squishy, cute, and baby like…and I am pretty sure that if you're Vic's baby you're already bloody gorgeous, so I've decided that the book isn't ALL right. So I'm gonna talk anyways, and because you can't run away from me yet, you're going to listen." Teddy told his unborn child as Victoire felt her lips quirk up in a slight smile, she closed her eyes and listened.

"I mean, if I don't talk to you, how will you know who I am? I should introduce myself. I'm Teddy, but I'd rather you called me dad…I know I know, you wouldn't think I'd be one to stand on ceremony and tradition, but…well, it's just the right thing to do. So…hey little bitty pretty baby…I'm dad...daddy…whatever you like….I'm kinda young, and don't really know what the hell I am doing…er….I mean….ah…don't worry, when you get old enough to understand what hell means I'll stop saying it…see that's what I mean, I'm really not sure I know what to do with a baby. The last one I really remember is Lily, and I was just a little kid myself then. I know your mummy…she's the one with the pretty voice that you hear all the time, you know the one you're tormenting with puking and stuff….her name is Victoire, but again, mum, mumma, mummy…one of those is acceptable…" he said, completely absorbed in his one sided conversation, he moved his hand a bit and rested it on her side so his thumb was softly rubbing her lower abdomen, not even considering that he was no longer whispering and that he was most certainly waking Victoire up. He was entirely wrapped up in talking to his unborn child.

"Anyways, your mummy has a little cousin who's really little, she just turned one last summer. So you'll have someone to play with when you get bigger. Try not to be the annoying little cousin, you might end up different colors, ask any of your cousins. They'll tell you all about it. Ask your Auntie Dom, or Uncle Lou, hell even Uncle James and Al, they all know. So…I've been doing a lot of thinking since finding out about you. And that was over a week ago, and I haven't slept much, so that's a lot of thinking. I was thinking that soon we're going to have to tell your grandparents that you're coming home to be with us some time this summer…and you're probably going to hear a lot of yelling. And they will sound really mad. But they aren't angry with you. I doubt they'll ever be mad at you. They'll probably love you more than they do us. And up till now, that was an awful lot. They're just going to be upset with me and your mummy but not with you. They will be happy about you. Everyone will be. I don't' want you to think that anyone doesn't want you here. And….I know that I know you heard me and mummy upset and yelling….and you probably felt her sad…but I want you to know that it's not your fault either. And that we're not angry that you're here or that you're coming….We're just scared. And…and even though I haven't said it really, and I don't know if she has we do love you. And we always will…." He said as he felt her hand entwine in his hair. He stopped talking and opened his eyes, he pulled his head back and looked up at her slightly, not moving far from her flat stomach, his lips were close enough that he could have barely moved and kissed it.

"Of course we love you." She said, looking from his eyes to her stomach. "But even babies this small can feel that I think." She said softly, looking into Teddy's eyes again.

Teddy smiled slightly at her words and pressed his lips, for the first time since knowing that she was carrying his baby, to her lower abdomen, not taking his eyes off Victoire's face.

"I will always be here for you. From right now, until forever." He said his lips still against her skin, unsure of who he was talking to at the moment, Vic, or the baby.

Victoire smiled at him and played with his thick sandy blonde sleepy curls that she only saw in the mornings before he remembered to change it, or while he was sleeping. "We know that." She told him.

Teddy grinned against her stomach and kissed it again. "Apparently she gets to speak for you both for now." He told her stomach.

Victoire laughed and nodded. "Until a noise can come from baby's mouth, I get to speak for us both. And we both love you too. VERY much." She said.

Teddy nuzzled his face into her stomach making her squirm a bit from his hair tickling her skin and he kissed her stomach again. "And I love you both…more than anything in this world." He said softly before kissing his way up her stomach so he was eye level with her, his hand resting over her side, he looked into her eyes silently for a long moment before she rolled so she was on top of him and kissed him intensely, leaving no question as to what she wanted in that moment.

A while later and Teddy stood behind Victoire in the shower, gently washing soap off of her back as he kissed her shoulder. "So….can I ask a question, now that we're more than a week later?" he asked her.

Victoire nodded her head as she focused on how the water felt hitting her skin as he rubbed her back and his lips worked along her skin. "Anything." She said softly.

"Can we take you to the healers now?" he asked her hesitantly.

Victoire bit her lip. She wanted to go to the healers, the book said they would hear the heartbeat, and that they would be able to tell them exactly when she was due. But at the same time, she wanted to wait to tell their parents until they were home for the holidays.

"If…there is a way to do it, without them telling our parents, I will go." Victoire told him.

Teddy froze his lips on her shoulder and rested his chin on it, pulling her back so his back was against the wall and her back was against his chest, he let his hands trail down her sides with the water and soap.

"Vic, you know we have to tell them eventually honey." He said softly, turning his face into her neck so the water wasn't hitting him in the face.

"I…I know, but I really want it to be in person, please Ted." She whispered,

Teddy thought about it for a few minutes before lifting his face and turning her to face him, he looked down into her face, forcing himself not to focus on the rivulets of water sliding down her arms and body.

"If…if we can tell them AFTER Christmas, like, at the end of the holiday." He said.

Victoire looked at him curiously, she didn't have to speak for him to understand her question.

"You already had told me you would be in Paris for the beginning of break. We won't even be together for more than a day before you go. Then when you get back on Boxing day, we'll all have dinner and games and Grandmum's and I really don't want to tell everyone together. Plus, the longer we wait to tell them over break, the less time we have to be alone with them after….So we could…er…what if, you come home with me to Hogsmeade on Boxing day, after dinner, we convince our parents to let you stay with me…somehow, and we have them come over on the 29th, as long that leaves us home for a week, and we will schedule another healer's appointment, at St. Mungos' for that week, because you'll be in your second trimester and we'll let our parents go…if they want to." He suggested.

Victoire chewed her lip as she thought about it. It wouldn't make sense to tell at the beginning when they wouldn't even get to be together, and if they had a few days to prepare and then tell them together, let them see they were serious and being responsible, and he had a point, the less time they were stuck there with them, the less time they had to yell and chastise them.

"Okay…if we can find a way for a healer not to notify our parents before Christmas. We will go." She said, smiling slightly.

Teddy smiled down at her and pulled her against his chest, letting the water hit his arms and her back as he lowered his lips to hers. "It's a deal." He said before kissing her firmly.

Potter Manor/Wealey's Wizard Wheezes POV

George was standing in the development room of the shop looking into a cauldron. It was after closing time and he was checking on a potion that he was waiting on when a stag patronus cantered through the wall and into the room. "Come to the Manor, I just got off work a package just arrived addressed to the four of us, along with a large letter….I already fire called Ange. We'll order in dinner." It said in Harry's voice and then disappeared.

O0o0

Roughly thirty minutes later both Angelina and George were at the manor and Harry walked into the dining area holding three pizza boxes in his hand.

"It's strange ordering pizza when the kids aren't here." Harry said, looking at the boxes as he sat them on the table.

"Where are the miscreants?" George asked with a grin.

Ginny walked in with some plates as Angelina followed her with bottles of butterbeer "Well, you know they do the semi finals now. And with Oliver being head coach, he's kinda required to go with his team. Since Alicia does all of Puddlemore's press coverage she of course is there as well. They'll be gone for roughly three weeks unless they make finals. Well Everleigh didn't want to go alone. And of course Al wanted to go to see some matches and play on the pitches during the down time. So he is going to be with them for half the trip, and Rosie went for a few days…I think they'll have Rose for four days. While Rose is gone, Lily went to Ron's for two days, and then we'll take Lily and Hugo for the last two days that Rose is gone. We'll return Hugo to them when Rose gets home. Then when Al comes home in a week and a half, we'll get him and Everleigh." Ginny explained.

"And Lily." Angelina added with a grin.

Harry laughed. "Oh, yes, her too…we'll be lucky if the house is still standing….and then five days later, we get the Hogwarts kids home." He said with a grin as he took several slices of pizza and put them on a plate.

"Speaking of, is why we had you come over. We had a delivery, which took both James and Freddie's owls to deliver it, and it's addressed to all four of us." Ginny said.

"Is it silly that I'm a bit scared to open it?" Angelina asked, not a hint of kidding in her voice as Ginny pulled the single large envelope off the front of the box.

"I think the feeling is completely mutual." Harry said, as he sat down beside George before watching Ginny open the letter. She looked at the neat handwriting and smiled slightly as she began to read it out loud.

Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny, and George and Angelina,

I just wanted to say. That this was NOT my idea. I did not mean this when I suggested the compromise. So, that being said. I am sorry we got into trouble. And I will try to stay out of trouble for the rest of the year. I won't make any promises, because let's be honest. It's probably unlikely.

Please don't take away my reading time...what else will I do when I am trying to stay out of trouble? You know if you take all of the things we like away, we'll all be left with nothing but a bored Jamie and Freddie….and none of us really want that for our holiday do we?

Please give the enclosed letter to my parents for me. My mum doesn't so much like the owls still, and I can't use muggle post from here. Tell them I'm sorry, but that the fireworks and explosions aren't nearly as big a deal here at Hogwarts as they would be in a muggle school, that I'm not in jail or anything.

Thank you. And again, I'm sorry for my part in all of this….Though, I renounce any and all claim in THIS.

Sincerely,

Parker.

George looked hesitantly at his sister. "What on Earth could he possibly be denying involvement in?" he asked, amused.

Harry groaned and flattened his hair down with his hands. "I have a feeling it's in that box." He said.

"Well if it's Jamie and Freddie's idea of compromise….I don't think I want to know." Angelina said staring at the box.

"You know….he makes a fair point….not really about the books, but about taking brooms and quidditch. If we take all of the boys' activities, they'll be left with nothing to do but destroy the world." Harry said a bit dramatically.

Ginny smiled wryly. "Honey, I learned from my mum. You take all the things they love and wear them out with the things they hate, like cleaning, and painting sheds, and…"

"Denoming the gardens, and you know physical work." George added in, scowling.

Harry was instantly reminded of back breaking, labor at the Dursley's summer after summer, and sunburnt skin from being "punished" and he shook his head.

"I think we'll be figuring something else out…that's not happening to my son." He said instantly.

Angelina looked curiously at him and George looked a bit surprised at the firmness in Harry's voice. Ginny looked at him for a few minutes and decided they would talk that out later on that evening while they were alone.

"Well, seeing as they were threats if they get into trouble AGAIN, let's hope we don't even have to figure anything out." Ginny said easily as she began to open the package.

"Be careful!" Angelina warned.

"I wouldn't lean over the box." George added quickly, thinking of several pranks he and Fred had played in their day.

Harry was still half thinking about his own childhood and watching so he remained quiet.

"They….those…..I blame you two." Ginny said, her voice exasperated as she pulled the singed and slightly cracked toilet seat out of the box.

Angelina shook her head. "They….they didn't." she sighed.

George burst into laughter and at the sight of the toilet seat, Harry's mind was wiped free of any thoughts other than James and Fred in that moment. He quirked a grin and held out his hand. Ginny handed over the toilet seat to him.

"You can read it." She told him, shaking her head.

Harry looked confused until he saw the writing on both sides of the toilet seat, the singed black side had gold writing so it would show, in James' unmistakable messy scrawl, the other side was written in a deep dark scarlet ink, in Freddie's not perfect but much neater penmanship. He sighed and looked up.

"Do you want Freddie's or James' first?" he asked as the other three all looked at one another nervously, though George was still laughing.

"Might as well start with Freddie, his is likely to be a bit more rational." Ginny pointed out, to which Angelina nodded in agreement.

Harry laughed and flipped the seat over to the whitish less singed side the writing had no paragragph format as it went around the ring of the toilet seat completely.

Dear Mum and Dad,

I am sorry that you received letters about our behavior on Friday. But…in our defense, the snowball fight was really started by Peeves we just joined in. And we were doing homework! Flitsy told us that our homework was to practice practical application of a color change charm and not only did we do that but we also altered it and made it last longer and not come off. It was all in the name of homework and bettering ourselves. James wasn't TRYING to knock the girls and himself into the lake with Squiggles, they just got to close and started taunting him and he lost control of the levitation charm, making Squiggs land too close to them and they got caught up. James jumped in and helped the girls out. I am sure the letter didn't tell you that, because the girls didn't tell that. And you know Jamie…he wasn't going to admit to helping a Slytherin. So really, he was being heroic. I personally think he should have gotten points for that. And again, he was practicing charms. That was an awesome bit of levitation, AN ENTIRE SQUID, that's pretty good charms work! As for the toilets, at least it wasn't the girls' ones! And really, no one got hurt. The fireworks were in celebration. We were helping the school to celebrate too. We had quidditch again the next morning. Honestly, you might should write to Teddy and just tell him to stop taking away quidditch practices because he wants to see Victoire and I think we'd be okay. He dropped us to three practices a week. THREE! Now, I know she was sick and all, but to be fair, we didn't know that then. We were just bored. We weren't TRYING to misbehave. But, everyone took it as we were, and for that, we're sorry. We didn't mean for them to trouble you at home because of it. We were just having fun. We love you, and we'll try to behave. Victoire is feeling a lot better now, so maybe Teddy will add on some practices. We Love you. And we really are sorry you're mad. OH, and sorry we didn't send a toilet seat…I wanted to just send apologies….James wanted to ignore the apology and just send a seat….Parks said to compromise, so this is what you get. Love you. Sorry. Freddie

o—o-o-o-o-o

Harry finished the letter and looked up at George and Angelina with a smile on his face. "Well, it was sincere at least." He said, laughing along with George.

"I like their idea of compromise…seriously, I wonder sometimes if they aren't hidden geniuses." George joked.

"We need to write Teddy and find out if Victoire is alright, we should probably inform Bill and Fluer that she's been ill." Ginny said thoughtfully, thinking about Freddie's words as Harry reread that part of the note to himself, making a mental note to write his eldest son.

"Can I just say I think it's sweet that James jumped in freezing water after Slytherin girls." Angelina pointed out.

"Yes, well….if his pride hadn't gotten in the way, he could have explained and they might not have gotten in as much trouble for that." Ginny pointed out.

"Hey, I never would have admitted to helping a Slytherin either." Harry said in defense of his son.

"And …they did still levitate…er….Squiggles?" George said. "They would have been in trouble either way, I don't blame him for not coming forward, he's got house pride and he didn't want to look like he was trying to get out of trouble….or…he has a crush on one of the girls, either way, no way was he coming forward." He finished.

Ginny raised her eyebrows at the word crush. "Jamie? Crush, NO way, he's too young, besides, I don't think he'd notice a girl if she flew into his arms on a broom from the future holding the quaffle." She said, not liking the idea that her little boy might have a crush.

Harry laughed loudly. "Hell no he wouldn't. He'd notice the broom. Besides, he saved SLYTHERIN girls, James would rather die I think." He pointed out as everyone laughed and he flipped the toilet seat over to read his son's supposed apology.

O-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0

Mum and Dad.

Hey, I'm doing great, your howler was a big hit. Freddie and I didn't know whether to apologize or send the seat, so…we did both. Sorry we got in trouble. I promise the next time we won't get caught and you won't get a letter. Really though banning us from quidditch! I thought you wanted Gryffindor to win? This is Teddy's last year as captain, you shouldn't punish him for our pranks. Though to be fair, him being too busy for practice is really why we were bored so I guess punishing him for the pranks makes more sense than punishing us. It was his fault we were bored. I love you. I miss you. Tell Lily, and Albie too. Oh and tell Albs I'll teach him to charm the snowballs when I come home….Don't worry, we won't throw them at you. I promise. Love you. And I'm sorry you got a letter. Love James.

0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-00-0

Ginny stared at the toilet seat. "I'm pretty sure he just told us he would continue to prank but not get caught anymore." She said in disbelief.

"And that he was going to teach his underage brother a mischievous charm." Angelina laughed.

George was laughing and shaking his head. "I love my nephew. Have I ever told anyone that? That kid amazes me." He said, chuckling.

Harry sighed and shook his head. "I'm choosing to focus on the good things. James felt guilty and saved the people affected by his prank…thus saving Slytherins. They did not go into the girls' toilets. Peeves technically started the snowball fight. They only participated. They are using Weasley products and promoting the shop. While trying to make others happy...apparently. And, their charms work is exceptional for first year students." He said, resigned, as everyone else laughed.
