"Cover me!" Haylie shouted to Dembe and Liz, "I can pull him into the car," she stated as she stood to pull Red with her.
Dembe and Liz nodded, shooting in all directions. The attack was coming on from every angle.
Haylie got to the back door and pulled it open with one arm but looked up to see a man coming their way. Haylie let go of the door and pulled her gun, hitting the assailant straight in the chest.
Haylie then slid into the backseat, keeping her head low as she pulled Red with her.
Dembe looked back to see Haylie was in the car and signaled to Liz they needed to get in and get away. Liz jumped up and shut the back door before jumping in her seat.
"Where do we go?" Liz asked, pulling her cell to dial Harold Cooper.
Dembe listened as she gave the FBI their location before taking the phone from her hand and tossing it out the window.
Red was writhing in Haylie's arms as Dembe pulled his own phone to call Mr. Kaplan.
"Initiate a code 77," Dembe said before hanging up his own phone. "She will call back and give you a location in moments," he said, handing the phone to Liz.
"Red, try and stay still," Haylie said calmly as she tried to hold Liz's scarf to the wound on his chest.
The phone rang and Liz opened it briefly, "She gave me the location to a warehouse but why can't we go to a hospital?"
"Liz, he's a wanted criminal," Haylie said.
"He has FBI immunity," Liz defended.
"Whoever wants him dead would find us in seconds if we took him to hospital. He needs a surgeon and we have one coming to us," Dembe announced.
They pulled up to the warehouse where a fully staffed trauma team was waiting. Two men in scrubs came and pulled Raymond out of the car, placing him on a gurney. Haylie noticed that he was looking around frantically.
"Liz, go in there with him," Haylie noted, "I think he is looking for you."
Liz nodded and followed the team where they were getting ready to put him under and try to perform surgery.
Red reached toward her as she walked in the room, grasping her hand once she was close enough, "Leonard Caul," was all he could say, in more of a grunt before he passed out.
Haylie waited until Liz was back by her and Dembe, "What did he want?"
"He gave me a name," Liz began, "Leonard Caul. Does that mean anything to you, Dembe?"
Dembe shook his head, "He wants you to find that person. I know nothing else."
Haylie lost focus on their conversation as she looked through the hanging plastic at Red with a tube down his throat and his chest open.
"Cooper, we need to find Leonard Caul. Red's in critical condition. We need backup at this warehouse because whoever is after him will be back for another chance," Haylie vaguely heard Liz say next to her.
"What do we do if they find us? He can't be moved," Haylie whispered, the adrenaline fading and the reality sinking in. Red could die.
Dembe shook his head, "Don't think of that now. Just be positive. He needs that from us," he comforted her. She'd never seen this side of him before.
Minutes later, there was a knock at the door and three men who looked like FBI walked in. "That was fast," Liz mused as she walked that way to greet them but before she could, Mr. Kaplan shot the three men.
One of them got a shot off before she got him. "What was that?" Liz yelled, "That was our backup!"
Mr. Kaplan shook her head, "They were imposters. Those weren't government issued weapons. We've been compromised."
"How close are you?" Liz asked, walking back to the "operating room" only to find the surgeon down.
"We have only just found the tear and we don't have time to fix it before we'd need to move," a younger physician answered.
"How long will it take?" Haylie asked, entering the area.
"I've only repaired a few and my best time is 30 minutes," he responded.
"We have to go. You have 15 minutes. Liz, where should we go he's stable?" Haylie asked, directing her attention to Liz.
"I know a surgeon and a place but it's Tom's hideout," she answered.
"It's our only option," Haylie said. "Watch the surgeon, I'll update everyone that we're about to go."
